But i dont understand it 100%
How will buy there my btc, i must find a buyer at my own and then i write his address into step2 ?

Sorry for the confusion. When you click "Submit and Continue" step 2 fills with a unique bitcoin address of ours for you to send to.

If you have any other questions, please let me know!

Happy Spending,

162  Economy / Services / Pay your bills with bitcoin (Australians only, sorry) on: June 15, 2012, 11:56:26 AM
On Spend Bitcoins Australians can:

Pay Bills
Convert bitcoins to Australian Dollars in your bank account
Convert bitcoins to a reload on the Austpost reloadable Visa
Shop at Fishpond or anywhere online that takes AUD via credit card.

And guess what? We are currently offering 1-2% above Mt Gox market rate for AUD!
163  Economy / Goods / Aussies: SALE, 1-2% more AUD than Mt Gox for your bitcoin on: June 14, 2012, 06:16:01 AM
Buy anything in Australia or pay your bills, get your Australian Dollars in 1-2 days, and get 1-2% more for your bitcoin than on Mt Gox. Win win win!

Why? We sell bitcoin here in Australia and can almost always use more stock. Why buy it overseas with wire transfers when we can give the retail exchange rate fees back to Aussies instead?
164  Economy / Currency exchange / AUD on sale! 1-2% premium over Mt Gox on: June 13, 2012, 08:51:48 AM
Use spendbitcoins.com to convert your bitcoins to AUD in your bank account, on an Austpost reloadable Visa, on Fishpond or "anywhere (with AUD as the currency)" and you'll get 1-2% more from us than Mt Gox without any fees AND have your AUD in 1-2 business days instead of weeks!

Why? Because we sell a lot more than we take in, and it is better for us to give a bonus to Aussies than to wire money around the world. Yay!

http://spendbitcoins.com. Happy spending!

Thank you for correcting the issue and for making me $20 on my 100 btc overnight. Now I think the right move is to wait on the purchase for a few days to see where the exchange rate is going.

Wink -- I remember the days about a year ago when I'd make 10 or 20% on my bitcoins while waiting an hour for them to confirm on Mt Gox before I could sell them.

God I miss the way btc used to jump in price. About a year ago I was sitting on a bunch of coins and was planning on selling them after work. I was new to Bitcoin and had my wallet on a computer that was mining while I was at work. I came home to find out the computer overheated and crashed. Took me all night and part of the next night to find the problem and boot up. I was pissed at myself the whole time working on it because I thought I lost everything. When I finally booted up, recovered the wallet and sold the coin I had an additional $100 to sell from waiting one day. Price stability sucks!

+1 Smiley

Amazon gift code isn't working. Any idea when it will be restored.

Hi there,

I believe this problem has been resolved. If anyone has this issue again, please let us know.

Somethings weird with that page.

I can't pick USD currency.

The instructions say: "To place an APMEX order, simply use the "

The link for Step 2 shows:

I'm very sorry, but both the apmex page and the wiring page are suspended at the moment.

Thanks again for all the help you've all given so far. One of you has sent me a private message offering to walk me through this over skype (he/she hasn't given me authority to say who, so although I'm sure they wouldn't mind, I'll keep it private since they sent me a PM) and I'm going to take you up on that as soon as we can connect.

That would be me.

I never heard from you on Skype.  I don't know if you tried to contact me.

Did you ever get the issue resolved?  I had forgotten about this thread until trying to answer a similar issue for a SatoshiDICE player here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=77870.msg958137#msg958137

I think he has the same problem as you, except that his bad transactions are incoming, not outgoing.  Either way, deleting them using PyWallet should fix the problem.

Edit: I'll subscribe to this thread this time so I won't miss your reply again.

Hi Dooglus. I'll definitely be contacting you on skype. I haven't tried yet because I haven't had a moment to. Sad

I finally replicated this issue. It kept happening to me as well, even if I refreshed, but finally I tried ctrl-f5 and it resolved. Please try the same and let me know if it resolves for you. In the meantime we'll continue to try to isolate the issue and fix it or put up a proper error message.

https://www.spendbitcoins.com/convert/amazon/

When I enter all info and click Submit & Continue it sends me to a redirect page. One time I got a captcha warning but I saw none.

IE version 9.0.8112.16421 Win 7 version 6.1.7601

EDIT: Just tried in Firefox 10.0.2 got this error on a page with nothing else, "Post expired. Please resubmit!"

EDIT 2: Just tried in Safari 5.1.7. Same error.

Hi there,

Thanks for letting us know. We have so far been unable to replicate this issue, but you are not the only one who has reported it for themselves today.

We will continue to try to replicate it and seek to pick up patterns of those who it is happening to. Please keep trying and let us know if it starts working for you.

If the same or similar issues are happening to anyone else, please let us know what is happening, on which browser, which page, basically as many details as you can give us so we an try to find the pattern.

Thank you!
Jeremy

Amazon gift code isn't working. Any idea when it will be restored.

Hi there,

I'm very sorry for any inconvenience. Can you please be more specific on what is not working for you? For example, I just put through an order on chrome and it worked as normal. Which browser are you using and what is happening.

Thanks again for the feedback!

We removed this section long ago. [locked].  Cool
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: HELP! Transactions not confirming ;( - 4 btc bounty on: June 10, 2012, 03:48:41 AM
I sent some bitcoins to Jeremy, the amount was deducted from my wallet, but the second day I noticed the transaction is still sitting unconfirmed. Today I checked it again and it finally passed (after two days).
Can this be related to the issue Jeremy had?

Unlikely.  If the payment doesn't make it into a block, then SpendBitcoins probably wouldn't have been able to use it in a payment, at least not with the stock Bitcoin.org client.

I think he's asking if he had the same issue as me, but it doesn't sound like it because mine never broadcast while his eventually did.
176  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: BitPiggy - bank account locked (again) 16th May 2012 on: June 08, 2012, 10:03:51 AM
Bitpiggy can't come back soon enough.
The prices at the competition are no longer "competitive"!

If you're talking about us, our prices have not changed. They have always been Mt Gox 24h high + 10%. The problem is that it seems higher as the value of bitcoin rises but in reality it is exactly the same. If bitcoins were selling on Mt Gox for $1 each, our rate would be $1.10, which means that $100 worth of bitcoins would cost you $110. If bitcoins were selling on Mt Gox for $100 each, our rate would be $110, which means $100 worth of bitcoins would cost you $110.

Psychologically it seems more to pay $10 per bitcoin commision that $0.10 per bitcoin commission, but in reality it is exactly the same. I'm thinking about changing the display rate to x +10% so that, for example, at this very moment it would say "5.69 + +10%" instead of "6.31". Would that be psychologically more satisfying for people, especially as prices are rising?

We would love to have lower prices, but unfortunately with wire fees, foreign exchange fees, and exchange rate risk, we have found this rate necessary to stay profitable.

Haha, sounds just like me, except I study for finals the class before Wink

I've been studying all semester, but Australia gives an extra week for studying between the last week of classes and the final exams.

Just thought I'd update where I'm at with all of this right now:

--I sent the customers their bitcoins again yesterday. This is my problem not theirs, and it sounds like these won't rebroadcast and I'll be able to retrieve them anyway.
--I had another transaction hang like this late yesterday, so I've just set up a new wallet and transferred my coins there in 100 btc lots (so if any more get caught it won't affect the whole amount).

Phew, this has been a week of putting out fires. And it's supposed to be my study week for finals. I haven't cracked a book once! Sad

Oh well, the life of a bitcoin entrepreneur. Crazy roller coaster, but worth every minute. Smiley

Me too! Every other time I've done this it's been gone within 5 minutes. Smiley

EDIT: I received what I needed and disabled again about 5 minutes after this post. Smiley

I have tried to install this stuff and just hit a brick wall somewhere.

Although not exactly the easiest thing for a typical end-user to accomplish I actually found the instructions fairly straight forward.

If you could perhaps explain exactly how far you got with pywallet and what did/didn't happen at that point perhaps it shouldn't be too hard to get over the final hurdle.

I know this is going to make me sound incredibly ignorant, but we'll start with the fact that I don't know what you mean when you say I need to have a local web server running. I just have normal DSL internet access. Is it still possible to do this?
