Damn! Tough luck I must say, I guess all that terrific green luck have ran out, and you probably need to be catching these sports in real time now or there might be no way back into the that previous form of yours with just some beginners' luck or what was it called ?

/snip

Yeah, it was probably just beginner's luck. But that's OK. I don't mind competing in division 2 in the next season. I know that all you sport freaks probably don't understand what kind of fun do I see in this competition because I don't follow sport that much, but I find it very interesting.

Either way, I hope that I will get at least one regular win in this season Smiley

Lol. Division 2 ? I understand the tough position you could possibly be in with 4 (potential) relegation spots to be filled, but we are not even half way into the season, and you are just 2 wins away from being off the danger zone, so why would anyone in their right mind write you off ?

Quite a better response from Stefanos in the 2nd set, after dropping the first set to Diaz-Acosta, this sucker had better not burn me this round  Angry

notblox1 and slackovic what are you guys doing? 5 reds, hope you made multibet opposite your picks Tongue

The only win I have is against casperBGD who left the competition. Now I have enough different answers to turn this around against leea-1334, but I'm not that confident.

Can't believe how Modrić, a top top player, can be so shit at penalties - and he's been shit throughout his whole career. But what the hell was Bernardo doing? He really doesn't seem like that type of player.

I was completely worried about Bernando all game long and because I don't get why he refuses to take just any shot these days, he just puts in a dink no matter he was on the pitch, and that was what he did with the penalty too, Lunin with all anticipation seemed to have saw it coming from a mile away, he's prolly going to cost me the round, I would have preferred being a point down with the number of question left.

De Minaur just had to knock out Nadal, doesn't he ? because I don't think Nadal would have lost to Fils in such a way, well that could be a blessing in disguise for Stefanos.

It sucks to trail by two points, but I guess it's still doable if Roma can save me with a win against AC Milan.

I'm down by two points myself, and in a desperate situation now with just 4 question difference left between my opponent and I, a 76ers or Hawks win tonight should definitely help reduce it to a one point deficit. The Heat have however turned the game around and currently have a 12 points lead at the end of the first half, the 76ers would need a quick response here without turning the ball over as much as they did in the first half to stand a chance to get back into this game.
165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: April 17, 2024, 11:52:39 PM
I'm locking my bet on the Sixers' handicap, this would be one of the few times I have to fade the Heat because i'd always put the Sixers on a higher level if they have Embiid.

The Heat after trailing for majority of the first quarter takes a point lead to end the quarter.

Embiid looks to be good so far in the game, and Kyle Lowry is also with good energy in the first Q along side Tyrese Maxey, I'll say I like your choice with how the game have been so far.

I honestly dont know what to think about upcoming CL semi-final matches, they are very tricky to predict:

Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid
Dortmund vs PSG

It's going to be tricky indeed, but it's quite a more even mix now with City out, they would have been the clear-cut favorite still, I likely might just fancy the teams with a better history here.

Or maybe fate could provide us with a Real Madrid vs PSG final, a "Mbappe Thriller: The Now vs The Future."

It's not confusing at all for NBA followers, I guess it could be for non-followers, the play-in tournament is simply 8 teams fighting for the final 2 spot in the NBA playoffs, in a let me say UEFA Co-efficient fashion where teams from country like Estonia and Switzerland for instance will play multiple qualifying rounds to get into UCL group stage when a team from maybe France only plays one and even when they lose that are guaranteed a slot in the UEL.

Well yeah this is understandable but still pretty weird imo so basically teams that stands on 7th and 8th rank will play one more time regardless wether they lose or win isnt it? Gotta remember this the next time we got something similar like this pop up as the question again. Anyway, I still think llower and upper bracket on esports are way easier to understand for non followers though

No, 7th and 8th rank team will only play one more time if they lose their first game, so they basically need to win one game of two possible to make the playoffs, while 9th and 10th placed teams need to win 2 games to make the playoffs.

Well glad that he didnt mess this one up, another straight 2-0 for Tsitsipas

Haha. I thought the Odds wasn't for the game and for the tournament according your prior post. He probably could lose against De Minaur, if he doesn't then I'll fancy him to go all the way.
168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: April 17, 2024, 04:23:49 PM
The simple game of chance means you go with the 4 teams that surely play another game if they lose. Any other pick is an unnecessary gamble.
I'm curious to see how many people went with the other 4 teams, my opponent went with 1 of them which gives me a statistical advantage at least.

Ahh I see what you meant now. I was was actually abit confused when I read this yesterday and now I kinda get it because Pelicans is going to play another game even when they have lost. I totally dont understand abit about how that works lol and yet people keep saying the upper and lower bracket on esports tournament are confusing but this is way more confusing for me

Now Tsitsipass needs to go all the way and win the title for me to get this point  Huh

1.08 odds for him to win, its going to be silly if he lose this one

I'm stunned the odds is that low for him to win it, If there is any bookie offering the alternative Odds, I surely would love to go for that, it's a no brainer to be very honest, perhaps the stage of the competition has something to do with that, but regardless the alternative would actually be of the best value one could ever sought for a sport betting.

Odds are 4.4 for the comeback, it's a weird feeling wanting Rafa to find a way, at the expense of my BSFL -- and I need all the points I can get now that I'm down to mitchr4 2-0...

I guess getting past De Minaur was too much to ask of him after all, It's all become a one sided affair now after De Minaur got the same early break in the second set, it's better considered a done match, it's 5-1 set advantage for Aussie, surely the end of the road for the King of Clay  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Now Tsitsipass needs to go all the way and win the title for me to get this point  Huh

Kings won, Pelicans lost - meaning it will be a direct duel between these 2 teams for a point in the NBA question between myself and LTU_btc.
I like my chances here although Kings did really well against GSW.

The Kings are 0/5 vs the Pelicans this year, so it really is an easy call to back the Pelicans in this match up, and they had it somewhat easy against the Warriors, the splash bros had a rough, Klay couldn't make one basket all game long, however, Zion's availability in my opinion would have a significant impact on that game, I guess we'll figure out more about his injury scan today.

Great football night and a great sports day for me in general. I got back into tennis groove so looking forward to continue doing the same tomorrow. Love the early stages of clay season before bookies adjust the odds. Both to score in this stage of Champions League was free money so far. Probably gonna cost me tomorrow on a ticket for an extra big stake.

Now here is something to envy  Cheesy Wink

Congrats mate! Tomorrow games should be an easier round for BTTS, at least on paper it should be, rather than that of tonight. I was able to garner something off my freebies to from Barcelona Open, with a double on Sebastian Ofner from yesterday and Nadal -4.5 Handicap today. I'll surely back him see off De Minaur as well, perhaps not in a completely dominant fashion.

Well im already winning 1-0 after this super day of champions league football, but too early to say something about the round.

Tomorrow i went with my bold prediction about Real Madrid going into semifinals. Lets see how that ended.

Yeah, you got the early goal here  Wink

I'm hoping for a PSG-esque comeback here, especially with your Tennis Q, despite using VAR, still feeling more like an "Araujo - Red Card"  Undecided Undecided

Damn, another painful defeat of Barcelona. Everything started so well, but that red card of Araujo was so early, leaving PSG so much time to play with one man more on pitch.
Dortmund - Atletico was such sick game, but right now I have no mood at all to talk about it much.

I'm damn sick to my stomach here as well too, I really am just so short of words and have a lot to say at the same time, but definitely in mood for anything, maybe the NBA play-in games can lift my spirit a bit.

I didn't have any money on the line for either game, and I was fully glued to Barca - PSG, and I'm totally livid by the 360 turn of events from being in a winning position.

It seem like an unusual calm before the storm in here, there's just been a handful of answers submitted until now, are we looking at a major no submission or it's the Tennis everyone is keeping an eye out for ?

I think that 20 people are yet to submit their answers. I almost forgot because no one posted here and the bot didn't remind me. Thankfully I remembered to submit, but I'm not sure what to expect from this round. Maybe it's best to expect a loss and then be surprised if I win Grin
I don't see why would anyone wait for tennis this week. All the favorites are playing tomorrow and only one whose match was worth seeing is over. Not gonna comment more before the deadline but really looking forward to seeing what he can do. I submitted quite early for my standards today, had to leave work a bit earlier.

If anyone wanted to back Rublev, it would have made sense to wait since he played today, unexpectedly he lost his match, I wouldn't have backed him anyways, I had Nadal and Tsitsipas, despite being in the same bracket, I guess I fancy either of them than anyone from the 2nd seed bracket. Anyone taking a risk with Nadal too would have had enough time to reconsider their choice since they can see him play today, and predict whether or not he stands a chance against the rest from his bracket, provided he stays fit.

The Bot only works about 3 times now and it's not on Tuesdays or even Mondays, of course except your opponent fancies playing against you and there is trash talks and/or side bets about it, that's one of the reason to miss the Sheriff in the first division, he never stops even when you're handing him his arse... The only notifications often comes now when the table is being updated, and the questions are posted, which fairly more than enough for anyone duly interested imo.

I took some really safe call for this round, it's not atypical of me, but I don't I would have against a usual opponent, this probably the most mixed I can be in terms of going offensive and defensive in the same round, for some questions it was about securing at least a draw, while for some it was a "f*ck it all, que sera sera" decision for me, lol.

Everything goes same as if he is playing. That is one team that is certain to be relegated and that is it.

At least you will not be last in the league  Grin

OK, that's good to hear. But won't there be a missing team in the division 2 since he's not playing? If he was playing and finishes last, he would have been relegated into the division 2. So, wither we'll have one team less in division 2 or will there be one team more that will get promoted from divisions 3 and take casperBGD place?

I think this has been discussed prior, it's likely going to affect not just division 2, but an additional person getting promoted from division 3 should be the play here.

I jumped from 15 points on Sunday to 54 on Monday. Wow! Thank you, Gusto, Durabravka, and Palmer.

Don't forget your vote of thanks to Jurgen Klopp too, he gave Allisson the no. 1 slot against Crystal Palace and that has literally played the biggest role into Dubravka getting auto subbed in for you...

177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 15, 2024, 06:27:52 PM
A lot of shock results over the weekend. Nobody picked Palace to beat Liverpool and only one person backed Villa over Arsenal. Are Chelsea going to follow suit with a loss tonight?  Grin I doubt many people will go for a home loss but I'm thinking twice about it now.

So Arsenal and Liverpool decided to hand over the trophy to Manchester City today by losing huh. Im tired of watching them win, someone gotta stop their domination. Pep going to have a chance on Treble all over again.

They're still in it as both Arsenal and Liverpool are only 2 points behind, though City do have the easiest fixtures. At least it can still be a close title race.

I guess that makes two, speaking of second guessing the decision I made already, It likely would have been a different ball game were it been the beginning of the season, or even midway in, but now every single point seem to matter twice as much as they used to, it's an easier decision to drop point along with a contender going for the easier call, than choosing to follow one's guts at the risk of dropping further down the pecking order, tough times, truly!

Oh man... Did you have to put NBA in the questions? I hate American style of leagues where you can play well all year, but if you lose four games in the playoff, it's like you did nothing. Now with that play-in tournament I see that in basketball is not the same as in ice hockey. Also, I hate basketball Grin

I don't want to believe it's just me, and this round is just a generally though round of questions to answer, so to say, it will be easier to win the US Powerball than to finish this round unscathed. Perhaps, they were some booze at play when CRO2 were setting these questions, and I believe I might know a bit of the impact of cryptofrka in a number of those questions too  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

And they can end the season with no sending offs (they only had one season before that with no red cards, and had 6 last season). I actually feel people talk too little about discipline and how it affects some teams. When Arsenal fixed theirs under Arteta, they also became more stable. Barca with Xavi. I think managers/coaches do a lot in this area.

I believe this makes the most sense to me, and tends to be something these managers all have in common, asides from being really young into their coaching careers.

When you look at the number of clean sheets in relation to goal conceded and cards received ratio, you'll realize that it's no coincidence assume a similar position and discipline in their playing eras, and have similarities to what they consider to be paramount to their style of play.
