161  Economy / Economics / Re: Second lockdown in Europe can their economy survive this?. on: November 05, 2020, 09:26:15 PM
Maybe countries like France and Germany can survive the second lockdown, although not without consequences, but many other European countries that wouldn't be possible, their economies just wouldn't survive. Even from the help from European recovery and resilience funds that wouldn't be feasible anymore. That is why they are trying to balance between pandemic and keeping business and everyday running. We'll see for how long they will manage to do that.
162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most of us are losing money in sports betting? on: November 05, 2020, 07:16:48 PM
I think that in sports betting gamblers get more confident because they think they have lower risk for being involved in some sport having information, following it and being more able to predict the outcome not depending only on luck. Therefore they probably risk more and often overestimate their chances for winning. I know that I sometimes do that
163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Indian boy committed suicide after losing money by Betting in IPL on: November 05, 2020, 05:31:04 PM
This is a very sad story but I also see here some mistakes made by his parents. Children and minors shouldn't have access to gambling sites and parents should be aware what their children are doing online.
Gambling addiction could be very dangerous for adults and for so young people who don't have life experience, psychological maturity and strength consequences could be terrible as in this particular case.
164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting small amounts on a lot of matches or big amount on couple of matches? on: November 05, 2020, 03:07:56 PM
Maybe smaller amounts on multiple matches at first sound less risky than large amount on one or couple of matches but in fact it's the same and I don't think it influence the final result.
Personally I don't like to put big bets in any variety because I can't take such big risk but it's actually the question of one's preferences.
165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think is the biggest disadvantage of bitcoin? on: November 05, 2020, 09:50:46 AM
I think that the biggest disadvantage of Bitcoin is at the same time its biggest advantage and that is connection to Internet.
Through Init should be available to everyone but when we look at number of people who still don't have electricity and Internet they can only dream on then it's clear why mass adoption is so troubled and not very likely to happen.
166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any truly safe bets in sports betting? on: November 04, 2020, 08:47:04 PM
Many articles have already been written about it, of course. It is also important that you get enough value for a bet.
Sometimes you see that the odds are too low for what it should be, then you are hurting yourself before the match has even started.
I think that ultimately no strategy is safe, the only thing that is safe for you to choose the right strategy for your bankroll management.

ya.ya.yo!
in the world of gambling there will be no strategy that can be used for the long term, usually when you try something and you can get a profit then it is just the result of luck because in the next game trying to do the same thing may not necessarily give the same result, so be careful. the heart makes decisions in gambling because the stakes are very valuable money when conditions like this.

If it is considered a strategy to be objective and focused on the statistics, standings, playing capacity, etc, then it is one thing that you could actually use for the long term. That's for sports betting of course. That cannot be used for random or luck-based games.

The heart should not be given a central role in gambling. It is either that or you will not gain a positive net in it.
That will be the advantage when you are in sports betting, you can maximize your knowledge and that winning mindset could be still unlikely we are in a pure luck based games. However, it is not a way to think about safe bets, nothing really it exist in gambling. That is the reason whya we have that 50/50 chances both winning and losing. If we consider gambling as a main source if income, we are absolutely wrong with that assumption.

No we are not speaking of gambling as a source of income. That is not possible. There are professional gamblers who can survive with their gambling wins but I don't believe they started from gambling funds alone and made it far only with gambling money. Even in skill based games, winning is never guaranteed and bets are still not safe either.

I think there is a very small percentage of professional gamblers who can really make for a living with gambling. And they are always at the edge because they have to risk big and there is no guarantee they will win all the time and make enough money. There is no safety and security in gambling of any kind and every gambler needs to be aware of that.
167  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it a good time to buy Bitcoin ? on: November 04, 2020, 06:34:20 PM
I always say that the good time to buy Bitcoin is always when you have extra money and can afford to buy it.
Currently the price is on the rise so maybe a few weeks ago the time was more convenient but it's hard to predict when the price will fall or rise so it's up to everyone estimation what is the most convenient time. Just don't speculate too much, the price might go up even more.
168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler living in England makes a $5M bet on Trump on: November 04, 2020, 12:51:20 PM
In this elections everything will be unclear and unknown until the very end. As for now it looks very tight run and everything is still possible.
Anyway, that was a very risky and brave bet, personally I wouldn't dare to do something like that. It would be very interesting to see the final outcome.
There are always bets on elections in many countries, it was also available in mine for the last elections but this is just not my cup of tea.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Payments Giant Paypal Says Its Customers Can Now Buy and Sell Bitcoin on: November 04, 2020, 10:57:26 AM
It was the matter of time. PayPal is following trends in finance industry and wants to keep the leading position as a payment platforme so it was expected. However I expect to see some usual problems at the beginning so let's wait to see how users will accept that possibility, so how successful it will become.
170  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin breached $14k today on: November 03, 2020, 09:25:23 PM
It was a moment but soon the price pulled back under 14000$. It's not the first time that Bitcoin is struggling to keep certain value and keep going up. To my opinion it's hard to tell what happens next and I think that both scenarios are possible, for price to cross 14000$ and to fall, even to 11000$ or lower.
171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to your Gambling Habit!!! on: November 03, 2020, 08:49:12 PM
Your friend probably needs counselling or a help of an expert since he’s gambling habits is out of control. Gambling will ruin everything if you let it control you, it shouldn’t be or will never be part of someone’s lifestyle.

I also encountered people that are very addicted to gambling and their life is already in real messed. It really destroys life and family, so before someone wants to engage in this habit should proceed with extreme caution of the consequences.
It depends on how far they have let their addiction go, someone that is just on the beginning stages of addiction can recover with the help of their family and by using their own will, but if a person has spent years being addicted to gambling and he has lost everything then that person needs professional help and there is the possibility that even that is not enough and that person will be addicted to gambling for the rest of his life, which is one of the main reasons why you should never allow yourself to become addicted on the first place.

It's easier to handle addiction at the very beginning, that is true. The problem is because sometimes it's hard to recognise the signs of addiction or addicted gamblers just ignore them.
It's crucial to seek help when it's not to late and to be aware that we mustn't allow gambling to rule our lives. Gambling should be fun at the first place.
172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Towards another gambling site. on: November 03, 2020, 06:34:55 PM
From football to roulette, thats very odd switch man. Roulette is more of a lucky game and the risk is very high compare to your old hobby. Why don’t you try to switch to other sports either? But it’s your call man, I hope you will find a good alternative game.
It is not odd IMO. Someone can play various types of gambling games at the same time yet remain focused to his favorite gambling game where he is good at.
I think the most important thing is your choice of where you will play roulette. All of the suggestions say that it's a game of luck so then you have to choose the casino you will play, the one that's known and reputable.

I also think that it's not odd. Many players like to combine so called games of luck and those like sports betting where you also need some knowledge and information that might help you to the profit. It's intellectually different and that is good for diversity of your gambling habbits and as well diversifyimg the risk. So, why not to give it a try.
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin legit or not on: November 03, 2020, 05:00:16 PM
I think that lately people often mix terms like legitimacy, legality and regulation.
Some think Bitcoin is illegal if it's not regulated by certain state but that it's not true. As far as I know in many countries there are no legal obstacles to use Bitcoin but it's still not legally regulated. I think that people get confused because of that and not sure if with using Bitcoin they might get into some conflict with authorities.
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New way to cheat with Bitcoin! be careful on: November 03, 2020, 12:59:44 PM
As our whole lives are heading towards online world it's kind of natural that scamers have found their new niche and opportunities to scam people in even bigger range than before.
Pandemic is also very convenient where people fall for different fake news or false medicine or vaccine. It's ideal time for scamers and as the only way I see to protect people is education and raising awareness of dangers in virtual world.
175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking: Sources that show information about suspended/injured missing players on: November 03, 2020, 07:38:54 AM
Like the title says. It is for scientific and research purposes. Cool
I am looking for websites or sources, who at one place gather information about missing, injured or otherwise unavailable players for teams. Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Ice Hockey, any major team sports.

Is there anything like that available? You can post what you use here or PM me if you prefer.

Thanks!

I don't think such data are public available. No matter that they might be public persons but such data are still considered to be private and medical so I don't think any website should offer such data on legal manner. Maybe I'm wrong but at least such would be the practice in Europe. Anyway, good luck with your research.
176  Economy / Speculation / Re: history loves repeating itself. the only question is when! on: November 02, 2020, 08:39:23 PM
when you say so,is it really exactly the same?. because the news or whatever that affects the price of bitcoin every year is not the same. for example bitcoin is now being adopted by paypal, which in previous years this never happened. so whether it will be exactly the same as the previous year's chart history. Huh

it depends on what you mean by "exactly the same".
is it exactly the same to see a year of bear market with about 80% drop followed by months of accumulation where FUD is spread about a huge drop right before price rises 100%? then yes it was exactly the same.

is it exactly the same to see the rally start slowly after that accumulation with some drops caused by panic sells while the long term is still rising? then again it is exactly the same.

....

it doesn't have to be repetition of previous year but the past 3 years are the repetition of the 3 years before 2017 (from 2014 to 2017 and now from 2017 to 2021 is being repeated).

There is no exactly the same situation, especially when it comes to Bitcoin. Besides, conditions in the market are never the same and there are so many factors and circumstances that might affect Bitcoin price.
History might repeat but that is not the only argument you can stick to to predict possible price growth, in crypto world that doesn't count.
177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Clubs to avoid per league in betting on: November 02, 2020, 07:29:01 PM
Maybe the point is good and it's kind of clever to avoid these clubs, they can cost you nervs and money. However, there are gamblers who like exactly challenges like that and like to push their luck, it's some kind of excitement in it. From time to time I try my luck on Manchester and Bayern and I don't regret it although the outcome isn't always best for me.
And true football fans will tell you that is exactly why they like football, the best game in the world.
Btw the list could have been a little more presentable.
178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports icons and Covid19 complications on: November 02, 2020, 05:22:44 PM
That looks few but it was all straight in the football field , I know there are other sports that are also infected by the virus but the infected players are not higher than on football . Football was infact a long distance game compare to other shorter range sports or the nature of the game makes the player weak and have a weaker immune system

Football is one of the major sports and if football are experiencing a hard time this will have an impact to the sports economy and this includes sports betting

Maybe are many focused on football as a very popular sport and one that brings huge amount of money but I think that all sports are affected by pandemic. There are many athletes who are infected and their health and safety should be at first place before the profit.
However we all love sports and sports betting and I think there is the way to find the balance between controlling pandemic and continuing with matches and events.
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we stop bitcoin scammers? on: November 02, 2020, 01:29:39 PM
Just like the scamers in real world, we also can't stop scamers in virtual world, including Bitcoin scamers.
What we can do is educate people and raise awareness so they can protect themselves from scam and thus decrease the number of potential victims. Self protection and caution are the only measures against scamers.
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did You Face any Problem with BTC Confirmation? on: November 02, 2020, 09:39:29 AM
I have to say that in the past I had some issues with transactions confirmation but recently that doesn't happen anymore. If I remember well that was especially often through 2016 and 2017.
But as far as I know there are also some services, many of them free, who could help to speed up transactions. That always worked for me.
