The burning strategy doesn't work, because the amount of burned tokens is too small compared to the total supply available on the market. If they want to make FUN more valuable, they have to make it scarce, besides developing new usecases for it
Use case and utility of a token are main factors to make its value. Buy back and burn the token is only kind of spices but not main components for a token value.

Because we can see that Bitcoin, Ethereum don't have buy back and burn but they still have very high value. Ethereum only began their Burn program some years ago (since the last bull market), not since its blockchain and ETH main net launch.

Regarding to potential effects from Buy back and Burn program, it will depend on budget for the program, how long will it run and so on. Because it needs time to make exposure to community about the program, then big budget decides how many tokens will be burned. We need both to have good effects from Buy back and Burn, and obviously marketing is another important factor.
This is ideal suggestion instead of burning or buyback they need to work on having some better use case of this token which will surely work better for keeping price at the better level as they are already having on few exchanges now it's time for them to have some talk with casino which will bring this token into their use which will surely increase the value of this token and things could be on positive.
But right now we are having nothing about anything, hopefully team will give updates about this all in near future which will end this all-problematic talk, and we will be gone on better road.
The strategy would only attract investors if they project itself is having a great journey. It's not that the strategy in general would not work anymore, it's still based on the current value of the project and its development in the long run. I think they already have the right exposure as they are listed in a decent exchange, so if investors doesn't find a buyback or burning of coins, that means they aren't satisfied with how the project is going so far.
162  Economy / Gambling / Re: MetaWin.com | The First WEB3 Casino on: April 21, 2024, 05:56:34 AM
This is good idea since a lot of people here could able to participate on the contest they possibly launch here. But maybe they are already good with current marketing method they use in this forum which is to launch there signature campaign that's why maybe they target the other people so that they can make sure that there exposure will be so great and they can get a lots of traffic with this.
A signature campaign is their start of advertisement on the forum and it has been run a long time enough. From their signature campaign's existing time in the forum, I smell that they saw profit, traffics from the campaign. As if they did not see any good effect from it, they will not prolong the campaign week by week and many weeks so far.

For other advertisement types, maybe they will launch it in future or might not launch anything if they see their advertisement on other platforms are enough.

The best advertisement in the forum is through siggy camp. They can run a promotion as well but as we have seen in some of the promotions from other casinos especially not a paid one, only few really would join. This is just my personal observation, but I maybe wrong. However, running one should be fine, with some decent budget, they can make it a long term one, at least that brings more exposure for them.
163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not a lifetime job. on: April 20, 2024, 11:56:08 PM
There are people that has earn huge from trading and we should not say it is not a lifetime job.
When you have something giving you money everytime, would you stop doing that same thing because someone said it's not a lifetime job. Trading is quite better than the regular jobs we hunt for because once we are getting funds from it, we should be satisfied and keep doing it to earn more from the market. Trading is good if we now how to go about it and make money foe ourselves.
To be honest, trading can be a lifetime job if you are exceptionally skillful on it and is gaining sustainable profits every time you decide to trade. However, not all trades turn into profits regardless of our expertise in trading, as there are times that inevitable losses happen in the market. So for me, trading greatly depends based on your own personal experiences, and since we have varied experiences in trading, that also means we have different points of view about it when it comes to having it as a lifetime job.
164  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: April 20, 2024, 12:11:29 PM
if somebody wants to selfexclude from Fairlay, i could buy their old account from them (its anonymous anyways, only email and password, which can be changed).

WIN - WIN
It sounds funny but it is really the way to self-exclude yourself.
Of course it don`t help, if someone wants to continue gambling - there are lots of casinos, where anybody can register(possible with some restrictions) with the same games, but if someone decides to stop - it can motivate at least.

PS. I don`t recommend anybody to but or sell accounts, it is only your decision.

I find it the same way, self-exclude doesn't help at all, it's just a decoration of a casino but it still depend on the will of the gamblers. It's true, we can self exclude ourselves in a certain casino but since create an account is very easy, we can always try playing in other casinos. I think the solution of addiction is stopping gambling, not fooling around ourselves that would only result to bigger problems. However, I don't blame the casino for having that kind of feature, becasue it's better than nothing at all, although it's not really too helpful.
165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 20, 2024, 11:25:42 AM
Phoenix surprised us today betting the NLEX by 35 points, the final score was 77-112 and they defended Bollick very well allowing him to only score by 11 points. This team really has some great talent on their line up, it's already in the All Filipino cup, no import and yet they are still having some kind of dominating game like this.

NLEX relied too much on their 3 point shooting, when they have a bad shooting night, this is what happened.

NLEX had 50 attempts and 11 of these went in, that's a very low precentage. And since their total attempts is 88, that means they focus so much on the 3 point area which is a very bad strategy.
166  Economy / Gambling / Re: AVIATRIX | NEXT GENERATION OF CRASH-GAMES | EARLY BIRD BONUS on: April 20, 2024, 06:57:13 AM
Just checked out your demo. Is it me, or are we seeing a worthy rival to bustabit here? 😆

Well, I guess we'll find out soon Smiley

Curious about the blockchain aspect of your game. It seems your tech foundation was laid way before the game surfaced. When was the ICO?

That's right, old-timers here! Our ICO was in 2018 Smiley

Seriously, so your ICO is not listed in bitcointalk? During that year, there are a lot of ICO's listed in the forum with ANN thread. I was trying to find your projects ICO but I could not found what I'm looking for, is there a site you could point where you check such information about your ICO that time?

I was just wondering how much you have raised and the ICO price as well.
167  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin halving, how low the price can be? on: April 19, 2024, 10:59:43 PM
Next month will be Bitcoin halving, how far can the price go down? or how high can the price go up?
Bitcoin price is very difficult to predict. However, according to past statistics, the price of Bitcoin increased a lot after Bitcoin halving. So expect Bitcoin price to go up a lot after this halving. According to past statistics bullran will start in 2025, so expect bitcoin price to be 150k higher or lower in 2025. It's just a guess, no one can make accurate predictions. It is very difficult to predict whether the price will go down or up before the Bitcoin halving, as the price of Bitcoin has fluctuated a lot for quite some time. If you want to invest then you can invest in DCA method and hold for long time.
History may or may not repeat itself again. And what had happened with the past halvings might not be the same with how the present halving goes. This shows how unpredictable the market is. And because of that, people find it hard to create accurate predictions or speculations as to how low or high btc price will be prior to halving. Some say that we will witness $100k for bitcoin, while others settle with $150k. But one thing is certain, everything is left uncertain these days, we can only tell about it once halving is already happening.
168  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does trading belongs to everyone? on: April 19, 2024, 10:18:03 PM
Trading is just there; it's up to us if we recognize it positively or negatively. That means, since "Trading" cannot speak, anyone can try it or enter it to do trading activity. You have an interest in learning about trading; of course, you will study it and learn it 100%.

And if you just take a look at trading and realize that you don't really have an interest in learning this lesson but you want to earn from it, it turns out that you are just gambling, thinking that you might get lucky, which is the wrong way.
Trading offers opportunities to everyone who sees it as a profitable side hustle. But that does not mean that every traders gets the same profitable outcome from trading. Of course, not all traders are knowledgeable and skillful on trading in the market, some are just trading and end up like gambling, so expect that they will definitely won’t be able to achieve their goals in trading. However, for those who have been in great preparation before going into a real trade, mostly they end up trading with positive and profitable results.
Precisely. Where there are big opportunities to gain profits, people will definitely push theirselves to that even without having some prior knowledge but unfortunately, it end up leaving them in a mess. This is the reality in trading, not everyone can be good enough in trading, majority are still weak in managing their emotions and are greedy enough to trade, hence majority fail with trading and fall into losing their capital. But for those who trade with confidence and are making good profits in trading, obviously they have been trading for years and have failed and lose a lot of times before they reach their current position.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin the best asset for investment currently? on: April 19, 2024, 07:43:05 PM
Bitcoin is more profitable than any other investment whether short-term or long-term because of its volatility. But if we talk about safety assurance, this is certainly not the best asset ever as it is prone to hacking. Due to its high risk, many investors choose not to get involved here but rather choose to invest in real estate and the stock market.

Maybe I missed something but I haven't seen a chart proving that the majority are investing in Bitcoin making the statement true that Bitcoin is the best asset now. Because what I see is that rich people are mostly in real estate investment. Maybe some of them are buying Bitcoin now but probably it is just a small chunk of their total investment funds.
I bet these rich people will never admit that they have been investing in bitcoin, simply because bitcoin should be held anonymously. The only thing we know is that they are focused on real estate or stocks because that’s what they’ve been telling us, except for bitcoin that they kept hodling without telling us that they are into it.

For me, bitcoin is the best asset for investment because it’s highly in demand with this current digital age. And the more that people gets to acquire bitcoin, the higher the price it will be, something that keep us wanting more. And there’s no any investment that will give you massive profits effortlessly just by hodling it while waiting for the market to surge high again and get into its new all time high.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Jontay Porter receives lifetime ban from NBA for violating gambling rules" on: April 19, 2024, 01:44:26 PM
What I found dumb on news is why the hell did Jontay Porter KYC his sportsbook account while he can use a crypto casino to remove tracks of his fiat transaction and use friends ID that is not related to him to place bets.

The amount of money he can earn from his whole career is much higher compared to the amount he won with this dumb sports betting that involves his own team. He just throw away his career that many players dream to be on his place. Sucks story just because he place bets.

He was probably not aware that there's crypto sportsbook that accepts high wagers, so he choose a KYC one to gamble. Actually, it's not illegal to gamble as long as you don't be on yousrelf or your team, but he was careless and give a sign that he was really violating the rules and that triggers the investigation.

The amount involved isn't that big, he will not go to jail but his punishment is worst than going to jail as it's his career that is over because of that, not only that, he was already banned in playing in the NBA. This is a lessoned learn for other NBA players, to those who are planning to do it or have been doing already but not yet caught, now is the time to stop and be honest.
171  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1xBet Biggest Scam and Violation of Terms on: April 19, 2024, 01:32:33 PM
I don't know and am too sure about what is happening to the OP right now, if the problem has been resolved then congratulations for him but if not, I'm a little sure the OP is tired, for the next time it's best to just play on a gambling site that has a brilliant reputation

Who wouldn't be tired for 2 months of waiting just to get an answer, it's not even a solution yet? OP might have gotten his money after that because if he wasn't yet, then he will continue to post, maybe move this thread to scam accusation, but it's still here in the "gambling" board, that pretty much say that he is fine now but it's still a negative feedback for 1xBet as they didn't appear here when they were active before running a sig-camp.

Actually, as far as I know, 1xBet is a FIAT bookmaker+casino and this topic should not be on Bitcointalk at all. Unless we connect it with 1xBit, their daughter company that operates on the cryptocurrency market.

Either way, we should soon find out if this story is true. Because if it is made up, it means that 1xBit/1xBet is coming back with a promotion on Bitcointalk and we will soon see another campaign. If it is not made up and the OP got his money back, there will be silence and, strangely enough, trust in 1xBet will increase.

OP is here because he believe that its connected to 1xbit. Personally, I don't have any idea that there's such a casino with a similar name of 1xbit that are just a fiat casino because I believe they have already adopted with crypto. And they say that this used a fake license, so why would they brand themselves as fiat casino only where there's also a big market in the crypto space?

Anyway, you are right, we will find out as soon as OP will make an update, not necessary but it's an ethical thing to do.
172  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Leverage on: April 18, 2024, 10:33:37 PM
That is why I understand that it may not feel like something you could do without much trouble. I personally believe that the best thing we could do with this would be avoiding Leverage, because that is the simplest solution.
I have been avoiding trading in futures and have never done leverage anymore. I don't feel that I can do it and it's just best for me to stay in the spot and I am more free to move with it. Compared in doing futures, you need to be active at most times. You'll be surprised by the market's motion and you're not prepared when it suddenly falls down or it suddenly gotten up and it's the opposite on how you leverage your trade and no doubt you'd be liquidated with that.
Trading with leverage is never an ideal one for those traders who want to avoid trading at high risks. It’s still best to trade at your own risk, without putting so much stress and pressures in your own trades. However, while this one gets avoided by regular traders, still there are those who manage to trade using leverage in trading. That’s because there is always an advantage for those who are obviously good traders, as they can certainly increase their potentials to make huge, satisfying profits.
173  Other / Meta / Re: Why is merit not common on trading discussion board on: April 18, 2024, 09:57:45 PM
I have noticed that someone will ask question on trading discussion, you will give answer but your post will not be given any merit. Sometimes like 1 out of 20 or 30 or more, you will only be given just 1 merit. If it is technical board, any useful answer will be bombarded with merits.

Is there no partiality in merit giving and receiving?
It just proves that majority who post in trading discussion boards are not giving highly satisfactory answers, the reason why only few got merited in the end. Or it could be that there are only few merit sources who stay in this trading board, while majority are all spread out throughout the other discussion boards in the forum. Or it’s just that there is actually high standards when giving merits to this trading board discussion.
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodling or selling? on: April 18, 2024, 08:39:11 PM
Check your reason to sell and weight if it would be valid to settle for a temporary loss. If you know how this market behaves then you guys should be calm. Of course it would be a better decision to keep on holding, and if possible, fill your bags more. The bullrun has just started and there's just a mild dump happened recently and that's a normal thing. Also, bullrun won't start in an instant given that we're days away from the halving. Situations such as investors grabbing profit is something not surprising.

It would be okay to be tempted but if you will observe those wallets who sold, they will again purchase on the verge of recovery. If you happened to miss the 'wave' then that would be a bigger regret, I believe. But you're free to do so, just hope that you won't regret it eventually.

People who managed to hold for long years are simply driven to earn more. They know how far this industry have become and that gave them the idea that there's more into it.
Bitcoin is currently in price correction, so if you end up panic selling, most likely you will end up with a low and regrettable price. But if you chose to hold and accumulate more bitcoin by taking advantage of the present price, that will even put you at a bigger profits when bitcoin price will consistently move upward once the correction is over. So always weigh your decision right, so you won’t end up losing and regretting due to wrong decision making.

176  Economy / Gambling / Re: Share trusted VPN Friendly crypto casinos on: April 18, 2024, 07:16:35 AM
Of course, you should never trust the rule that a casino allows the use of a VPN.
Nope, if that is on the rules like on their TOS, then we are allowed to use a VPN. Other casinos may announce they allow but in the TOS it's not written. I think they really need to emphasize it already as this VPN has been a problem now and some casinos used it to scam users and point the issue into violation of the terms.

VPN should be fine, why would they prohibit use if we just want to achieve privacy, although we follow the KYC procedure and we are known to them, we still have the right to keep our privacy by using a VPN, as long as it's in the TOS (allowed) it shouldn't be a problem.
177  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do not let the over excitement after the bull-run pull you out to danger on: April 17, 2024, 10:58:28 PM
We better keep our lives secret rather than expose them publicly because people around us are never happy with our great achievements as they prefer to see us down. I'm not sure if this is also happening in other countries but this really happens to us where people get jealous when they see someone become rich. In order to avoid these people, never show anything good to them. As much as possible, never let these people know your income and investment because they will just create unreliable stories that ruin your personality and reputation.

Never post anything on social media about your life or it is much better not to use this platform anymore to keep everything secret and unknown. And also for security reasons.
Just stay low key. Instead, make people believe that you’re living no good, that way they won’t create speculations about you. And always avoid flexing your investment profits or any achievement all over the social media, that will only put your life at risk. And as much as possible, chose privacy over getting known to the public.  You don’t owe anything to the public, so just chose to keep your life’s progress in private.
178  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest on your dependants if you too must grow further on: April 17, 2024, 10:30:01 PM
I use to say this more often to people around me, that if you want to help a person in life, then learn to know and identify the strategic place of need in such persons life and fixed it, if you give them bread, they will soon eat it up and be hungry again, but when you make decision in alleviating them and helping them to start an investment that could be profitable for them to depend on for financial survival, they will always earn through such instead of coming back to you for more help.
Know the person’s weakness and help him encourage to overcome it. Teach him to stand on his own foot and not to rely on other person, and by helping him land on a stable job or a reliable side hustle or investment, you are just giving him opportunity to grow and support himself, without feeding him everything he needs. That way, you did invest yourself onto him but in a productive way.
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't Altcoin a distraction to Bitcoin adoption? on: April 17, 2024, 01:59:29 PM
It was not the altcoin or Bitcoin but what makes the adoption slower than what we expect is that many are still innocent and uneducated. We can't urge people to adopt when in the first place, they don't have the right knowledge about cryptocurrency in general. We can't influence them to use crypto when they don't know how to use them. In fact, even just a simple investing (buy and sell), they still commit mistakes and fall into scammers.

That is why adoption will take time to develop because trust can't be instantly acquired when doubts and innocence are in our minds.
I believe the adoption rate of bitcoin is not that high because aside that majority are still clueless about it, the government itself is not even supporting bitcoin and continue to discourage the people not to fall on its trap. So it’s not those altcoins that are distracting bitcoin adoption, but it’s more on the people’s perception towards bitcoin.

However, with the help of social media, the people are now slowly grasping the idea of bitcoin with the help of crypto influencers. Unfortunately, majority of these crypto influencers are feeding the wrong information instead of educating the people and open their eyes to the reality of bitcoin.
180  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most liquid companies in the gambling industry on: April 17, 2024, 07:46:28 AM
Once you provide your  kyc forget about you identity,  it might  not be revealed  to large number of people but what I do know is they know about you already .
That's one of the biggest fear on why some cannot pass on the KYC policy, but eventually all casinos will require KYC and we have no choice.
They are regulated, therefore we have to trust them, yes, the trust is very important, otherwise we'll just choose a decentralized gambling which I don't know if there are games that are popular in their.

Apart from leakage, if a company later becomes  a scam I guess that sucks even more Tongue, although we have nothing to do about it maybe someday inches future the system of Kyc will be completely  scrapped but for now we have no choice  than to continue  paying  our kyc debts....  and for the companies they will also continue  obeying the government  once they need some details about a kyc  in as much they are under the government  unless they don't  want to lose their licence and go off business.
When they are regulated and they scam, the government will go after them. There's nothing we can do about that anymore as even those gambling sites that have the best reputation now can become a scam something, so like what I've mentioned, that's the risk of KYC.
