161  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: January 21, 2021, 06:23:25 AM
webtricks case
1. Visits our website, receives our deposit address
2. Does first deposit, receives chips after first confirmation
3. Half hour later sweeps chips into address
4. In the same block as sweep does another deposit to our deposit address
5. Half hour later sweeps chips into same address

Nope, I can only see one deposit made on the deposit address i.e. the funds I sent. Also, only one sweeping transaction was made i.e. with the chips equivalent to my deposit less fees. I can't see the other deposit/withdrawal you are talking about.

webtricks case is weird because there are two deposits and they say they did one. It could be that VPN does the same as Malicious Tor Exit node with SSL stripping and sweep them.

I am not sure my VPN service would do that. Moreover, I made sure that I was accessing the encrypted website by manually checking the SSL certificate at two different occasions. It was indeed valid. By the way, I noticed one thing - the browser cookie was changing whenever I was refreshing the session page. I am talking about this one:

It has to remain same unless I close my browser session, isn't it? It maybe changing due to the use of VPN. Can this be the reason someone else got hold of my session? Does this cookie has any direct relation with session token? Is it possible that my session token got mingled with another user on site and both of us were shown same session?

The case still needs answers. @Chipmixer, do you want me to send e-mail with more extensive information like the txid I sent, etc? I need to get to the end of what actually happened because I regularly use Chipmixer and this is my common setup (VPN+browser+clearnet). It never happened before and I don't want this to happen again.
162  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: January 20, 2021, 09:24:49 PM
Yes! Same thing happened to me. I was redirected to a new session as well. But I manually visited chipmixer.com/restore/session/oldSessionID to access my old session (the one where I sent funds).
Were you using Tor?

Nope. Regular VPN.
163  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: January 20, 2021, 09:05:28 PM
Something is indeed wrong with Chipmixer today.

I sent some funds for mixing about an hour ago. After sending the funds, site became inaccessible. Then around half an hour ago, I was able to access my session. But when I imported the private keys, the funds were already spent! All UTXOs provided to me were spent in a single transaction few minutes before the session was once again accessible to me.

I don't think I made any mistake at any step but maybe it's possible that I did something wrong. I would appreciate if others can share their insights on what could have gone wrong.

~~
Yes now it is back, but the coins I sent to them are not showing in the account. Transaction is already confirmed but the deposit address changed and the coins are not visible in my session.
Anyone else experienced this?

Yes! Same thing happened to me. I was redirected to a new session as well. But I manually visited chipmixer.com/restore/session/oldSessionID to access my old session (the one where I sent funds). It wasn't accessible for like 20-25 minutes and when I was able to access it, funds were already spent.
164  Local / India / Re: What cryptocurrency in INDIA means now? on: January 19, 2021, 06:21:50 PM
Keeping aside what the media is preaching, I believe that cryptocurrency has the potential to become popular in trading. People are already showing interests in trading Bitcoin in India. However, it should be noted that even though the Indian government has lifted the ban on Bitcoin, the RBI rules highly regulates and moderates the usage of Bitcoin. It is not exactly anonymous, as cryptocurrencies are supposed to be.

It was Supreme Court who lifted the ban, not government. Government so far had negative outlook towards Bitcoin but it is expected that same is going to change in the upcoming budget, let see.

And as far as RBI is concerned, there isn't any specific set of rules for the Bitcoin regulation and moderation after Supreme Court quashed the RBI directive. RBI do put the regulatory framework on Exchanges similar to any Fintech company which involves KYCing the customers, etc. But that is because the involvement of Indian Rupee, not cryptocurrency. It is still possible to use cryptocurrencies anonymously if you don't use Exchanges for buying/selling.

You know what that means, boys...

166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Changes of provably fair seeds in bitsler. on: January 18, 2021, 06:05:26 PM
There is nothing to worry guys. Seeds have no connection with sports betting or account security. So, if you only do sports betting on Bitsler then 'change seed' prompt is irrelevant to you.

But if you play casino games then you should understand the relevancy of provably fair seeds because these seeds are vital for the fairness of your bets. Bitsler prompts seed change box probably due to the way it handles the server seeds. Most probably, to reduce the load on live database and for database security, Bitsler transfers (or deletes) used server seeds from the database after 90 days. However, as a player there is nothing to worry about. You can always set new client seed for new bets and verify old bets with old seeds. In fact, you should change the seeds more often (changing seeds after every gambling session is recommended).

If you are wondering where to find seeds for old bets then visit here: https://www.btcgosu.com/tools/provably-fair-verifier/#bitsler and click 'How to find seeds on Bitsler?' button to read the procedure.

167  Local / India / Re: Would crypto e-commerce in India ever work? on: January 18, 2021, 03:25:15 PM
I don't think so it will work. As it is neither legal nor illegal right now and rumors were Government is thinking about passing laws in the parliament regarding it's ban.
Moreover, as it is decentralized so government would never allow it to work in that large sector . It will unfortunately end in dark web.

Although, the news isn't in media yet but I have received the update that Finance Ministry is going to announce initial set of crypto regulations in Budget speech on 1st February. Government was seeking the suggestions on this from notable people involved in crypto economy in India and few of my contacts were asked too. The regulations will also include the clear taxation guidelines and tax rates. Cryptocurrencies aren't going to be banned in India.

1 Feb is around the corner , I hope it doesn't get banned.
After the clear declaration of crypto regulations, a big share of people going to invest in crypto in India as the main concern of Indians is the legality status of crypto currency.

Investment was never the problem. Since Supreme Court deemed RBI directive invalid, crypto trading in India has grown many-fold. Check out this thread: THREAD, you can clearly see trading has grown roughly 5 times in December 2020 as compared to March 2020. As a matter of fact, bitcoin is trading at the premium of 5-10% in India currently which clearly shows demand for crypto investment is much more here than global average.

What we need is positive environment for crypto businesses in India. We need widespread awareness about Bitcoin, we need people to know that Bitcoin is much more than get rich quick scheme. Next time, if I come up with the business idea which involves cryptocurrencies, I don't want to see weird expression of people's face that I am doing something criminal. These all could only be achieved if Finance Minister stands in Parliament and clearly state that cryptocurrencies are regulated and can be used and traded as per legislation. Remember what happened when Late. Arun Jaitley stood up and issued warning on the use of cryptocurrencies in Parliament three years ago? The price of bitcoin flunked to Rs. 2,50,000 (upto 35% discount) in India. Reverse can happen if FM gives positive speech in upcoming budget session.
168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 17, 2021, 05:23:27 PM
Both sides were far from best in the first half. Although, Liverpool showed more promise in attack but there wasn't any clear chance in the game so far. Man Utd midfield is looking good whereas Liverpool midfielders were off in the first 45 minutes (especially Thiago).

And what's up with linesman? 7 offsides for Manchester! Atleast couple of those weren't offside. I still think Man Utd will win this one.

PS: Maguire is shit! Throwing 80M in sewerage would have given better return to ManU.
169  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiSquares.com: Squares101 seeding event on: January 17, 2021, 02:43:33 PM
In a few days SatoshiSquares will release it's 2nd game; Squares101.  Squares101 is a social game that requires a public seeding event in order to prove fairness.

We've created a list of 10 million hashes where each hash in the list is the lowercase, hexadecimal string representation of the previous hash.  The first hash in the list is the sha256 hash of our "secret message".

The hash of the final element of the list of hashes is 6a79ad9ef6ff0514f89274e26751fa981880c4b432829b867cf9d5f559051cc8.

To verify that a hash corresponds to game #n,  one can hash it n times and compare the result with the hash of the final element.

As the title hints, this game contains 101 squares.   In each game, one square will be designated the "bomb square".  This square is determined by a hash in the list.  The 10,000,000th hash in the list will correspond with game #1, and the 1st hash will correspond with game #10,000,000.

To prevent us from being able to bias our hashes, we will salt each hash with the lowercase, hexadecimal string representation of of block 666,666 in the Bitcoin blockchain.  As of posting this, this block has not yet been mined.

The code to compute the bomb square from the hash:

Code:

const crypto = require("crypto")

function bombSquare(seed, salt) {

  // 1. HMAC_SHA256(key=salt, message=seed)
  const hmac = crypto.createHmac("sha256", salt)
  hmac.update(seed)
  seed = hmac.digest("hex")

  // 2. Convert 3 most significant bytes to uniformly distributed in [0, 1)
  let X = parseInt(seed.substring(0,2), 16)/256.0 +
          parseInt(seed.substring(2,4), 16)/Math.pow(256.0,2) +
          parseInt(seed.substring(4,6), 16)/Math.pow(256.0,3)

  // 3.  Convert uniformly distributed in [0, 1) to uniformly distributed integer in [0, 100]
  return Math.floor(X*101)

}

In Squares101 bets placed on a square that has an id lower than the bomb square is considered a winning bet.  Winners will receive their wager times the multiplier that's mapped to each square.  Squares 0 and 100 cannot be selected by the player.  The multiplier mapped to squares 1 through 99 is defined by:

Code:

function squareMultiplier(squareId) {
  return Math.floor(100/(100-squareId)*100)/100
}

Ex. Square 1 has a multiplier of 1.01x and square 99 has a multiplier of 100x

It would would be great if someone would quote this post and verify that block 666,666 has not been mined at the point of this post's creation.

Quoting! As of now, 666,468 blocks are mined.

Just to clear things, will 9,999,999th hash be used for the first game or 10,000,001 hashes are generated?

By the way, nice game concept. Your original idea?
170  Local / India / Re: Would crypto e-commerce in India ever work? on: January 17, 2021, 01:47:55 PM
I had bought a domain a long time ago thinking I would start crypto related e-commerce website specifically for India. Always, found the counter argument on why it wouldn't work as one could just use fiat and avoid the transaction fees etc. Do you think there's any scope for crypto e-commerce in India? India sees a huge share in trading volume when it comes to crypto but I feel a large share of it is to just HODL or just trade it like stocks. Would you like to buy goods with your crypto?

Even though most of the Indians use cryptocurrencies as investment, the fact is irrelevant here. The more important question is how would you lure people to pay with cryptocurrencies instead of rupee. The one and only way I could think of is providing items at highly discounted prices.

The one way of making that possible is by using market volatility. If it is possible for you to leverage the market volatility in your favor and sell the crypto received from customers at higher prices then you can tie up with one of the leading Indian Exchange and provide instant crypto purchase option right into your website. This way, you wouldn't even have to face the transaction fees. But you will need the team of highly specialize traders to channelize the funds in the market to generate higher returns in order to cover discounted prices and of course, there is always the risk of trading losses.

Another way to provide items at discounted price is by exploiting the lack of regulations. Since, you are dealing in crypto, there are several taxes and regulations you needn't worry as of now. You can use tax savings to provide goods at cheaper price. In order to cover the market volatility, you may use forward contract with expiration and needn't worry about sudden fall or rise in crypto values. But of course, there will be many risks, you would have to keep business activities below radar and may face government intervention at any time.

I don't think so it will work. As it is neither legal nor illegal right now and rumors were Government is thinking about passing laws in the parliament regarding it's ban.
Moreover, as it is decentralized so government would never allow it to work in that large sector . It will unfortunately end in dark web.

171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ BitcoinPRBuzz.com's ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 12, 2021, 08:25:31 AM
@webtricks, despite few good recent games, I don't think that Barca is back to title race. We are still so far away from Atletico, potentially they are up by 13 points and they are looking so stable and consistent so far.
About bench, I would like to see Puig playing more, but I doubt that it will happen. Koeman simply don't like him. And Braithwaite, sorry, but I can't see him as super-sub.

Every Barca fan would love to see more of Puig. He had bright 20 minutes vs Granada and was able to create couple of big chances. I think Koeman is over-using Pedri. He's good but still young. Manager should probably rest him more often, we don't want another injury like Fati. From what I have seen, Puig and Pedri are 1:1 likely substitute in Koeman's system. Since, Coutinho is injured, Koeman should use both of them inter-changeably and give them equal minutes.

I agree about Braithwaite, he's certainly not a Barca level striker and has bad first touch. But still has good attacking prowess and awareness in the penalty box because of which he is able to get goals sometimes. With Griezmann, Messi and Dembele finally getting their top-form and connecting wonderfully, it won't be bad to give some minutes to Braithwaite in latter part of second half and rest them regularly. After all, Braithwaite is our only striker, at least till summers.

I agree that Barca have good chance to win Supercopa. We will face Real Socoedad in semifinal and aren't looking good at all recently.
Real weren't very impressive in recent weeks and it won't be easy to get through Athletic.

I want to see El Clasico Final (I guess most of us want) and Barca smashing Real in final!
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Closing price of Bitcoin on: January 12, 2021, 06:58:38 AM
~~
Yesterday(1/11) the Bitcoin price dropped about 20%(from 38266 to 31294.)
But today(1/12) it showed yesterday's closing price is 35476?
Do you know that cryto market and forex market are similar but different in a way? While forex operates on 24/5 that is 24 hours per day for 5 days in a week, btc operates 24/7 that is constant 7 days per week .

the point  want deduce from this analysis is that btc never stop changing or fluctuating, while you sleep others are awake dong one form of transaction or the other. In my opinion, that is what may be the cause of the difference in what you think it was yesterday and what it is this morning.

Hope this input help.

Many thanks, your reply helped to clarify the "closing price" problem.

Since Bitcoin's transaction "never sleeps", in other words, Bitcoin actually has no closing(or opening) price, am I right?

Yes! Unlike stocks, bitcoin can be traded peer-to-peer without the need of any official platform. Hence, it is possible to trade bitcoin anywhere and anytime. There is no opening or closing timings for the market. So, if a site is using the term 'closing price' then it's misleading and incorrect. Most probably, the closing price site is showing is 24-hour old price. For example, if you are viewing it at 7AM today, it maybe showing you the price of 7AM yesterday.
173  Other / Meta / Re: Meriting a user who just merited you on: January 11, 2021, 06:13:52 PM
..
Did you ever find yourself thinking: that user just sent me x merits, I will go through his/her post history and find something to merit? That thought has often popped into my head, and I have indeed done it a few times myself.

When you merit someone who just merited you, do you feel good doing it?
Do you feel like it looks like an agreed exchange, even if it isn't?
Do you think it's not a proper use of the merit system?

Hell no! I never merit someone just because he merited me and especially never went to the user's post history to merit his posts just because he cheered me with his merits. If anyone is doing that then that's not a proper use of merit system because that restricts the natural flow of merits and from what I know occasionally leads to the creation of merit cycling clubs.  Tongue

But I won't say I am the best example when it comes to using the merits in right way. I have this bad habit of excessively meriting the posts made in the threads which I personally started. Nevertheless, forums are the kind of conglomerates where different users from different background socially interact differently. Everyone can have his/her own way of using the merits. As far as the user isn't abusing the merit system, there isn't much of a problem in sending mutually inclusive merits.
174  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi Poker Series $1000 (OPEN to ALL) on: January 11, 2021, 05:52:26 PM
First of all, congratulations to @Betwrong on winning the final! You were the point-leader after qualifiers and deservedly won the tournament. Congratz to @arallmuus, @icopress, @FOMA and @Steamtyme for finishing in ITM.

Second, a big thanks to Sorsis and Betnomi for sponsoring the series and giving us yet another 9 weeks of poker entertainment! Thanks to Yahoo62278 and others as well, who contributed and made this series possible. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

UPDATE ON BETTING MARKET

I hope everyone liked the concept of betting market. From the stats it pretty evident though, 19 users participated and 59 bets were made in total. This was more than the response I expected. Among 59 bets, 7 were made on Betwrong. I have settled all the bets and you can see the updated winnings reflecting in your account now. The biggest winner is @icopress. All winners can PM me the DOGE addresses so I can dispatch your winnings.

Next on list is bounty, congratulations @arallmuus on knocking Teethow out and winning $25. Send me your Betnomi username so I can send you the winnings. My Betnomi balance is in USD.

That's all I guess. famososMuertos taught me a Spanish phrase yesterday, time for me to use the phrase - hasta luego everyone!

I bet on you so yeah but I wonder if @Webtricks has some super power to peek into the future because iirc, you were the only one that starts with 6x odds while the others start with 7x, 8x or 9x and you won  Tongue

Haha, the initial odds were mostly based on the qualifiers' performance, Betwrong being the point-leader had the lowest odds.
175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ BitcoinPRBuzz.com's ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 11, 2021, 02:36:16 PM
And suddenly out of nowhere Barcelona once again looking contender for the title! 3/3 on the road, away from home, quite impressive I must say! Granada and Athletic are tough competitors (especially in away games) but Barca dominated both so finally it's looking like Koeman had found his working solution for the Starting XI.

Bench is looking strong too. Puig, Pjanic and Braithwaite can play a handy role as super-subs in upcoming games. Barca now surely has greater chances of winning against PSG than it was looking when draws were finalized, if not 50/50 then surely 40/60.

Winning LaLiga is still very-very tough job, considering Atletico has humongous lead over the rest but half of the season is still left. If anyone remembers then it was against Atletico in last Supercopa de Espana when Barcelona lost, fired Valverde and started fading away. Can the upcoming Supercopa acts like ashes for Barcelona and let the club rise again like Pheonix? Winning the title will certainly help changing the trajectory of Barcelona's performance for rest of the season.

Whom are you guys rooting for to win Supercopa this year? My money is on Barcelona! Especially considering Messi's outstanding revival in 2021 (man! he can still score those free-kicks! Cheesy).
176  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I sell individual blocks? on: January 10, 2021, 07:07:01 PM
Crap, that’s what I was afraid of. What about a wallet like Exodus? Do those work differently?

Exodus is a wallet and only provides crypto-to-crypto exchange. It doesn't support buying bitcoin with fiat money. Using Exodus or any other non-custodial wallet will not serve your purpose too as long as you are using centralized exchange like Coinbase to purchase the btc first.

If your only concern is to mark the direct relation between buy and sell transaction based on the quantity purchased/sold then there is nothing wrong with Coinbase. Like I said in previous post, just sell the amount equivalent to the amount you bought at higher price and it will show in your 'trading report' exactly like you want.

Otherwise, if you want to mark the direct relation between the incoming and outgoing bitcoin transaction of same amount then use peer-to-peer trading. Some P2P Exchanges also let you receive bitcoins directly on your personal bitcoin address. Send fiat money to seller's bank account and get bitcoins on your address X. Later, send bitcoins from your address X to buyer's address and receive money in your bank.
177  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I sell individual blocks? on: January 10, 2021, 06:31:41 PM
I have some Bitcoin I bought low that I want to keep...and some I bought higher I want to get rid of. Is there a way to just sell what I bought at the higher amount and leave the other?

Bitcoin is fungible in nature. It doesn't matter which bitcoin you bought for $100 and which for $10K, both value same now.

Moreover, since you are using Coinbase, you in reality own no bitcoin. Your bitcoins are in custody of Coinbase. So, if you want to sell lower than your total balance, just place sell order for lower amount.

For example, if you bought 2 BTC at lower price and 1 BTC at higher price then your wallet would be showing the balance of 3 BTC. Just place the sell order for 1 BTC.
178  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi Poker Series $1000 (OPEN to ALL) on: January 10, 2021, 11:23:28 AM
If you are interested to bet more, I can help. Like arallmuus said, both users need to have same currency preference. My username on Betnomi is webtricks and currency is USD. You can send the funds and PM me, I will credit your account.
Man, you are a very sympathetic person, thx! As I said, I haven't tested this feature and don't know what the commission is, but I sent you $20. [I hope my bet on your victory will be a winning one  Roll Eyes]

I have received your buddy transfer and it seems fees is zero just like SwC. I have added 2000 DOGE in your account, go and make those final flashing bets on your favorites. Wink

By the way, since you have already described what the whole process looks like from the inside ... Could you briefly describe your vision of the betting process at an early stage? [If you have any thoughts on this]

It seems to me that the next poker series will be much more interesting)) Especially if it will be possible to place bets on the final game from the first round!

From my side, it's a green signal. The trial of my algorithm was successful, I found a vulnerability or two which will be improved in future markets. Only complain I received so far is the use of DOGE, for that, we can use BTC in future, no problem. So, in case there will be a series in future (which Betnomi already showed intentions for), I will be happy to make betting markets from the start. Now, you guys can tell me the improvements or additions you want and more importantly, are you willing to bet?
179  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi Poker Series $1000 (OPEN to ALL) on: January 09, 2021, 03:41:27 PM
Hello everyone, well, I also made a bet (bonus from webtricks). But I would like to place some more bets ..., does anyone have DOGE? I could offer 10-15 dollars in return by sending them inside the Betnomi platform, (has anyone tested this function?).

If you are interested to bet more, I can help. Like arallmuus said, both users need to have same currency preference. My username on Betnomi is webtricks and currency is USD. You can send the funds and PM me, I will credit your account.

Thats so sick, it is over 100x with 3k doges on bet. If you win the whole the 1st place, you will get $500 from the Grand Finale and over 300k doges from the side bet worth over $2800 with the current rate ( over $3k in total ). This makes the game more interesting because with this there is a whole lot reason for you to win this one  Smiley

@Betwrong is right, base bet is 500 DOGE so odds will be paid on 500, not 3000 DOGE. Smiley

I think Web has more reasons to kick Teethow out of the game than to win the tournament! With these odds and bets this looks like a crazy betting... well Web can let it be, or he can put some bounty on Teethow, even a few hundred dollars would be OK I guess!
Good luck Teethow, you just made this game a lot more interesting! Smiley

Haha, bounty! Not a bad idea. I will possibly make the announcement about this tomorrow. One or two bounties in the final won't be bad to make it more competitive and aggressive.
180  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi Poker Series $1000 (OPEN to ALL) on: January 09, 2021, 03:25:07 PM
Maybe i would add some more DOGE, but i don't holding them and don't have opportunity to buy them fast on exchanger. So that's what i have (thanks again to webtricks for his 500 DOGE). But i have some question: Why so big odds?
Maybe this is USA system, but i often see (in my local book sites) odds like 1.23, 2.05 which means 1.23 X sum if you win. And what we have here? 12.4x Huh This is some kind of giveaway or what?  Huh

Okay, let me explain how odds work:

The examples you gave are from two-way or three-way markets. Let me quote a real live market for tonight matches to better explain the things:

Granada v Barcelona - Odds - 7.00  1.40  5.20
Levante v Eibar - Odds - 2.30 3.10  3.40

In which match do you think house is paying better odds? No. 1? Nope, it's match 2 between Levante and Eibar.

To determine the house edge in odds, we first need to add total odds by dividing each with 1 first. In first match, it will be = 1/7 + 1/1.4 + 1/5.2 = 1.0495.
Now divide 1 with the result, it will be = 1/1.0495 = 0.9528.
Finally deduct the result from 1 and multiply by 100, it will be = 1-0.9528 = 0.0472 or 4.72%

In second match, it's 4.89%. So, if bets are equally spread among the teams according to winning probability then house will make the profit of 4.72% and 4.89% in above matches resp..

Now, let's consider our market. We have 9 players. Easy example first. Suppose, each player is equal contender of winning and equally-likely favorite of bettors. So, we will give equal probability and odds to each of them, hence, each player has 1/9 chance of winning. If our house edge is zero, we will give 9.00x odds for each player. But let's consider the house edge of 5% which means I set odds to 8.55x for each player.

Suppose, each player received equal bets of $100 then our total income is $900. One of the player will win and we have to pay $100 * 8.55 = $855 to winners, leaving us with $45 as profit.

These are the current odds from my website:
Betwrong 9.65x, icopress 9.28x, TrayvonKang 8.04x, noobHere 10.96x, TikTokLyFe 12.06x, webtricks 9.28x, Iv4n 6.18x, Teethow 3.77x, 1r0n1c 15.08x,

Looking high? Let's find out. Using the formula explained in first part,
1/9.65 + 1/9.28 + 1/8.04 + 1/10.96 + 1/12.06 + 1/9.28 + 1/6.18 + 1/3.77 + 1/15.08 = 1.1110

Dividing with 1, = 0.90004. Deducting from 1, we are left with 0.10006 or 10% house edge.

So, don't worry guys, there is nothing wrong with odds.  Cheesy And I would be more than happy to payout the winnings if Teethow or anyone else wins.

However, I failed to anticipate one thing while writing the algorithm. There is a factor known as 'indifferentiation'. Usually bettors differentiate among the choices. For example, in the first match above, odds for Barcelona are 1.40 which is significantly lower than the odds on Granada or Draw. But still maximum bets will be made on this odd because bettors expect Barcelona win more than other two choices.

However, sometimes bettors are indifferentiate towards the choices, like in our game. We can't say with greater predictability that who has higher chances of winning. In such markets, bettors are more concerned with odds than probability. Hence, maximum bets will come on players with higher odds rather than the player with higher probability of winning. For example, when Betwong's odds were 4.5x and webtricks's odds were 11.5x, the bettor preferred the latter. However, the same bettor preferred Betwrong over webtricks when odds were reversed.

To deal with such situation, I should have increased the house edge to atleast 1/6th or 16.67% and reduce the weightage of winning chance to 1/5th in total calculation. But no worries, I have some big stack of DOGE lying in my wallet from last failed project so it won't hurt much.  Grin
