I've done the steps before, luckybit is provably fair.

Why don't you guys at least wait until Stunna updates the specs for the program?

The deal is that on the 17 everybody sends him the post count.
It doesn't matter what he plans for the future and if he will change the terms and how. This is for this period that end today.

Not to send the PM, to post that they're starting the program again. I guess it doesn't really matter.

Your provably fair system is pretty simple, so I made an open-source javascript verifier for it.

http://rgbkey.github.io/verify/FastBluff/

You have permission to link to it from your site or anywhere else.
That was nice of you to do. Does this work for other dice sites or only this one?
It will work for any site that uses the exact same implementation of a provably fair system, but I haven't seen it used this way before. Note that I didn't take the time to think through the ways that this could not be fair, so there could possibly still be ways like that. I can make pages like this for other dice sites if requested, but they take a couple hours usually so it's not usually worth my time unless I get something out of it. I did this one out of the goodness of my heart, but I would love to be compensated for the work.

IMO you should not be changing the client seed after every roll, that's pretty shifty because gamblers have to change the client seed every time for it to remain provably fair.

Please don't advertise this script as provably fair when it isn't. You're just trying to trick people.

It is provably fair. And if I say provably I mean that everybody can check it really is.

Stop trolling around please.
Please explain how the provably fair process works.

1) Server generates the result (0.01-9.99) and gives a random string before it = seed. then shows you sha256 hash of this seed.
2) You place the bet
3) The bet gets a result and the seed is shown to you. You can compare sha256 (which was shown you before betting) hash with the hash of the result and you'll see that the hashes are same.
This isn't provably fair, this is just provable results. The server can generate whatever it wants to make you lose, and all you know is that it doesn't change the results that make you lose before you bet. Afterwards, it shows you that it didn't change the results. The problem with this is that it isn't random, and the user cannot influence the roll in a random way. You need to make use of a client seed to get this to be provably fair.

It's an OK concept but there's no way to know that the house isn't cheating you. I wouldn't trust this coming from a newbie.
1611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Are there other ways to give bitcoins to people physically besides paper wallets on: March 17, 2014, 12:33:16 AM
I'm looking for something that doesn't have a private key on it, more like something where people go to a website and redeem it. Does something like this exist?

What's the difference between a private key and some code you give them to redeem it?
A code that I give them can be on a website that explains bitcoin and how to use it and redeem it
Why would you want to ?
Read the title, to give bitcoins to people.

Let me make my question more explicit - why wouldn't you just send them to an address? And if you want to something to someone in person why wouldn't you just give them cash or checK ?
This is a bitcoin forum, isn't it? I'm trying to give bitcoins to people to get them interested, and those people won't have addresses yet. I want something non-technical (not a private key) to give them that's easy to understand, but still holds bitcoin value.

Think I disovered a small backup related bug. (Does not affect integrity of backups)

My wallet currently has 1 active address, 8 watch only addresses and an archived address. In the backup, the active one is listed as 1 out of 9, and then the 8 watch only addresses are listed as 1-8 of 9. There is no 9 out of 9.
Any comment?

1615  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is ritzgrandcasino a scam? on: March 16, 2014, 08:30:47 PM
I'm not sure if it is a scam or not.

But if you are betting on a site be sure that it is provably fair and change your client seeds before you bet.
I can say with 99.9% accurracy that it is not provably fair.

I'm a wee bit confused... what exactly is a fair casino? From a mathematics point of view, no casino is fair.
I'm going to copy a reply I just posted elsewhere.

Quote
Provably fair is when there is proof that your results are completely random, and can be influenced by you (Not influenced as in you can make the results what you want, but influenced as in input from you changes the end result while still being random.) and then the site proves to you that your roll has already been determined by providing a hash of the data used to decide the results, and then releasing the data after you are done betting. This way, you can check to see that the site operator is not changing the odds in their favor using strong cryptography instead of trust and reputation. There is no official guidelines for being provably fair, other than they satisfy the above requirements. As long as the site uses any kind of algorithm to prove they are using fair random results, then it is provably fair.

Provably fair does not mean the casino does not have a house edge, if that's what you're referring to. All casinos (Sans peerbet) have a house edge to make sure the casino has a reason to put their money on the line, it's so the casino makes a profit. Casinos can be both provably fair and have a house edge. Gamblers know that the game has a house edge, but just hope to be lucky. That's why people play the games with the lowest house edge.

I trust Stunna to make a good program to keep up with the competition. Although the 0.0001 BTC per post was a bit underwhelming, it was a necessary decision because of the signature changes.

Okay, first addition is CakeBet under Casinos as Provably Fair. If anyone doesn't think that's accurate please say so!

EDIT: moved CakeBet under Other since they only have one game. To qualify as Casino multiple games must be offered.
You should make a roulette category because there are plenty of sites that offer roulette only.
1618  Economy / Gambling / Re: CakeBet.com | Fair | Instant Deposit | Signup Bonus | Social | Roulette on: March 16, 2014, 08:05:28 PM
Why are people so hung up on provably fair? Nothing is provably fair.
What people currently think is "provably" fair, really isn't. If it was, then it wouldn't be gambling,
because then people could easily see the results before they became results.

tsume, people cannot see the results before they gamble. That wouldn't be provably fair, that would be easy money.

Question about your provably fair algo. This isn't the first time i've looked at Mersenne twisters, but I think I understand it now. I get everything up until you use the Mersenne twister and the fisher yates. The Mersenne twister used with a seed isn't just one random number, it's a whole bunch, but you can do it over and over again and get the same results if you start from the beginning. So what you do is use the Mersenne twister to shuffle your "deck" again after the initial to make it truly random. But the Mersenne twister doesn't have a range from 1-37 by default, so how do you get that to work with the Fisher Yates? And do you run through the whole algo for fisher yates using the next sequential random numbers in the mersenne twister? It would be easier to see if I could actually play but my IP is blocked from the US. I can PM you my IP if you unblock it, and I can deposit my own coins just to test, or you can give me some fake coins that I can't withdraw if you're not comfortable with that. Thanks.
