Who the hell sends passwords in plaintext emails?!? Don't register here if you don't want a password compromised. Luckily I use unique passwords for each website.

Buying a cheap netbook and installing linux on it would be magnitudes easier than attempting to get past google's spyware and avoid connecting to the internet.
1823  Economy / Gambling / Re: Ponzi 150% .. reserecting it ..round 2 on: February 26, 2014, 02:19:33 AM
I'm assuming you meant to say "resurrecting". "reserecting" sounds like you're bringing a dead boner back to life.

I bet this butthurt will stop in about Two WeeksTM
1825  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: February 26, 2014, 02:07:30 AM
A feature that should be implemented if it's not already, every month or other interval, mycelium should remind users to verify their backup again, and if they can't to create a new backup. This will ensure that users always have a working backup and won't forget to keep it up to date, even though mycelium reminds them when they have un-backed-up keys.

EDIT: Also, something after using the wallet for a while that I would find useful, a button to turn on the QR scanner right on the main balance screen instead of having to go into the send menu first. Not sure how others feel about this.

having the qr code scanner more accessible makes sense, has been suggested already. https://github.com/mycelium-com/wallet/issues/20

i am not so fond of that other suggestion, for many reasons.
Why not? Can you explain to me why it would be a bad idea?

EDIT: Reading up on the github comments, I saw someone suggest a widget, which from a security standpoint would be terrible but from a conveniece standpoint would be great.

bitwho brought up a question, as to the shares, I own a single one, so at 0.1%, I make 0.1% of the profit that the game makes across the platforms it's sold on? So if you made $10,000 in profits off of the game in the first month, I would recieve $10 worth of BTC? Please correct me if i'm wrong.

You're doing it wrong, it's banana for scale, not playing card.
1828  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Leancy Ltd - Invest w/ Bitcoins 150% Yields on: February 26, 2014, 02:00:44 AM
Can I withdraw my deposit anytime I want?

You need 0.01BTC to withdraw and I think $1 with other currencies.
^ What Mixevil said. As long as you meet the minimum withdrawal criteria, you can withdraw as often as you want. There are no withdrawal time limits.

I deposited today and it says "available for withdrawal": 0.1
but if I click withdraw I just get a message with a lower hardcoded amount and a message: "The amount is smaller than the minimal amount allowed"

There must be some limits then right?
I was confused by this at first too. The 0.1 you're seeing is in USD, not BTC. You need to wait until you get the USD equivilent of 0.01 BTC to withdraw.

But that means I can't withdraw my deposit?
Not immediately, that's not how leancy works. You get up to 5% of your initial investment daily added to your withdrawable amount, when it goes over the threshold of 0.01 BTC worth, you can withdraw. Just press the withdraw button anyways and it'll show you how much BTC your USD is currently worth.

Do you host this site or is it hosted for you? If you own it you can simply add in an <img> tag with blockchain's QR creator. You can add in any data you want, I suggest making it a bitcoin URI instead of a plaintext address or a blockchain link because bitcoin URI's are handled better by most mobile wallets. For instance,
Code:
https://blockchain.info/qr?data=bitcoin:1L8kh83QYyNREEHQD44CdyEz5BiLdQTdiJ&size=100
would give you a nice QR for mobile wallets. I suggest using 100x100 pixels, anything smaller is kinda hard to read with a scanner. You can also add amount and label tags to suggest amounts and labels for people to add the address to your address book. PM me if you need help with this.
1830  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitcoinWisdom.com - Live Bitcoin/LiteCoin Charts on: February 26, 2014, 01:53:10 AM
MINTCOIN  -- any chance we can get MintCoin add to the charts ??-- lots of attention coming to this coin right now (dogecoin-like) with over 2k BTC Volume yesterday & over 1k BTC Volume today -- MintPal Exchange also seems to be giving Cryptsy a good run for the Alt-coin exchange space

Thanks
There are no altcoins with the exception of LTC/USD on bitcoinwisdom, and I highly doubt there will ever be.

As to the creator of this website, thank you so much for this. It's my go-to chart when I want to show people a chart of the price, and it also helped me understand EMA and other more technical things I didn't know about before.

Do you plan on releasing any other novelty coins before these are all gone? It doesn't look like you'll be able to sell them all Sad

This is awesome of you, we need more people than just Jason King to have charity to give to. Keep spreading the love around! I suggest putting a small QR code next to your address (the one in plaintext) so it looks like this:

There is no such thing as a stable ponzi, please take your size 72 font somewhere else.

My IQ is high enough so that I have always known better than to to business with MtGOX!

Wink
Touche. I scored around 121 on a free test once, but personally I don't believe IQ is a reasonable measurement of a person's intelligence. Some people are really smart, just about more unconventional things than triangles.
1838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What role did drugs play in the ascendency of Bitcoin? on: February 26, 2014, 01:28:12 AM
Personally, I believe that SR helped get bitcoin out there, it's what got more people using it and also helped spread the word. But by the time that SR went down in flames, Bitcoin had already gotten off of it's dependency on SR and could stand on it's own two legs.

Is the beta for PD3 going to be closed or open, and if it's closed, who will be allowed in?

I think it will be open beta. Stunna also said on chat that he will maybe do BUG HUNT ! Cheesy That would be awesome !
A bug hunt would be pretty cool, I myself am a professional bug bounty hunter. I am uncontested in my bug hunting ability.
1840  Other / Off-topic / Re: What does it mean if two periods are typed in a row? on: February 26, 2014, 01:26:14 AM
It's code!

One period is an "e".
Two periods is an "i".
Three periods is an "s".

In some languages, period denotes dot.

If you encounter a complex correspondence with a myriad of periods/dots, be on the lookout for hyphens and dashes as well, of which correspond to "t" and "m", respectively. The keyword is "times", and the code goes back to 1984 when Cyndi Lauper sang her hit.
I'm assuming you're making a reference to morse code?
