1601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (decentralized blockexplorer coming) on: January 18, 2017, 11:54:27 AM
Whats with the newbies trying to impersonate devs account name? Hilarious  Cheesy

Still developing this coin? Btw how is it still unique with pools present?

This is an EXTREMELY old question/argument that is answered in this thread many, many times.  Ocminer has a way through a private miner to allow you to mine on his pool however it is a trust/trust relationship.  Mine at your own risk.  With that said, I like Suprnova pools very much and have never had any problems mining his/her pools.

Cool, I guess it should be added to OP then.
I like suprnova pools as well, but this kind of shows there is a way around the main principle.
On the other hand no hash reported at the pool anyway.

Yeah I've stopped the pool as there were no miners interested in mining for quite some time. I can reopen it of course if needed
1602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ORO] OroCoin - The Gold Standard | Desktop Client/Wallet Released! | ICO on: January 18, 2017, 10:36:04 AM

So there are no actual plans anymore cloning a proper coin..  You'll just stick to walletbuilders?

There are still a lot of plans, actually. We are focusing our energy and investment on bringing value to the coin, and our miners and investors, directly by focusing on marketing, outreach, and business development in such a way that ensures high volumes on exchanges and increased value over time.

It was clear that our investors did not want a "gimmick" but rather preferred to see consistently increased exposure and value.

So there is no plan in forking a proper coin, do some innovation like adding a new algo, adjusting the block reward to the gold price as promised or so..

You'll just do some "marketing" by debating the flaws dead.. fine Smiley
1603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ORO] OroCoin - The Gold Standard | Desktop Client/Wallet Released! | ICO on: January 18, 2017, 10:05:11 AM
We did indeed use a WB build as a source but with some differences. That being said, our focus from here on out is going to be 1) marketing and 2) bringing additional benefits and features to participating in this coin. We have a lot of things coming in the next hours and days that will make holding, buying, trading, and mining this coin extremely beneficial. Stay tuned!
Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked you admitted that after ocminer member checked the source code.

Of course - we're not going to lie about what we built this codebase from. I thought I made it clear that we decided to move past our original goal to focus on marketing and providing value for the current participants, as opposed to continue delaying trying to make the original goal work. A coin is only worth what the market says it is, regardless of what the reward is pegged to, and our participants wanted us to focus elsewhere, such as marketing the coin itself. That is not to say we won't revisit the original concept in the future, but for now, it is what it is.

At this point our goal is to bring value to the coin itself, ensuring proper rewards for miners, holders, and traders alike.
You are good in one thing: Talk,
The fact you did not mentioned that in your thread, this means you lied, enough said.

So there are no actual plans anymore cloning a proper coin..  You'll just stick to walletbuilders?

Weird, I just tried the bottom image from this page:

https://zec.suprnova.cc/index.php?page=account&action=qrcode

With current Android Version of Poolwatch and it worked just fine

Okay, dunno what's happening then, i have always a connection error. Will try from another android device maybe some incompatibility with my phone. Thanks for testing.

When you add your pool in the app you select "Other pool" right ?

EDIT: ok tried on my tablet, and it work fine, dunno why it doesn't on phone  Angry

Yes, other pool. The qr code basically is just an encoded URL to the api, when you scan the image an URL should appear, maybe you can check that URL for any implausibility
1605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: ZCASH / ZEC Suprnova Pool Stratum enabled: https://zec.suprnova.cc [PPLNS] on: January 18, 2017, 08:09:00 AM
Cool, will it be the same for the ZCL pool ?

If everything goes well on zec  -  yes!

 ok cool  Cool

Confs on ZCL are now decreased as well Wink

Nice  Wink thanks  Grin

One question, is the poolwatch android app supposed to work / still working with the pool ? I can't get it to work i always get a connection error, even though the api key is fine, do you have any recommendation for a working app ?

Thanks Smiley

Hi !

Yes, it should be working fine, I'll try the app today and let you know if it works for me. I can remember there were two different QR's and you need to scan the right one in order to be working with the App.

I tried with either QR code i always get connection error (the poolwatch one is the bottom one). Thanks for testing Smiley, i also tried with ZCL, XMR, ZEC pool, same result.

I've added direct mining to Poloniex payment ids to https://xmr.suprnova.cc as well now

Lol your biggest.. Or your only marketing argument was that the coin reward will be pegged to gold. That was also the argument to invest into the ico. After lots of postponing you finally release a walletbuilders coin without any thrills, especially not with the reward pegged to gold so IMHO you've more than clearly failed in delivering what you've promised to your investors..

BIG UPDATE:

Finally, we have an update for you all.

We have some good news and some bad news.

First, I'll start with the bad news: After months of pounding away, we unfortunately were unable to peg the block reward to the price of gold the way we intended. We finally figured out a way to do it properly, but to implement it would have meant going back and reworking our entire code base from scratch and that simply wasn't worth the increased delay it would cause. As such, we made some decisions as to how to move forward with this project in a way that would make everyone happy (or at least as many people as possible). That leads me to...

The good news: We have rebranded and reorganized the OroCoin project as OroCoin - "The gold standard in cryptocurrency" and made some changes to the game plan:

-We have kept roughly the same total coin supply as we originally planned (The supply will be 23,529,412).
-We kept the premine at 15% for ICO participants, and to fund future development, improvements, and a large scale and long term marketing campaign.
-We changed the halving to 250,000 blocks
-We increased the block reward to 40 ORO
-We decreased the difficulty to make ORO a little easier to mine (possible to do so profitably even for desktop clients, at least for now)
-We increased the ICO participation conversion rate: It's now 3000 ORO per BTC until January 31st, then it will be 2500 ORO per BTC.
-We decided to move forward with exchange listings immediately.

Now, I know this might disappoint some people, but I highly encourage you to give it a try! Start mining some OROs and see how it works out for you.

Edit: Those indeed are walletbuilders created wallets...  Roll Eyes

Claymore's CryptoNote Windows CPU Miner v3.5 doesn't work with Username.Worker.

OK, I'll integrate wallet address mining tomorrow, no big deal !
1611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: XMR Monero Pool xmr.suprnova.cc MPOS Based PPLNS on: January 16, 2017, 07:01:31 PM
Can I use Claymore's CryptoNote Windows CPU Miner v3.5 (NsCpuCNMiner64.exe) -u option which my wallet address instead of Username.Worker?
Thanks!

Hi !

No, you'd have to use your username.worker combination for now. As far as I know Claymore has updates his miner to use usernames as well, so they should be working fine.

I can add wallet mining too, let me know if it doesn't work with usernames, i'm not 100% sure.

I've noticed some users are now trying to enter Kraken Addresses with integrated payment IDs as well as separate Payment IDs: This is not possible, the payment won't go through.

Either you use a separate payment ID and a "normal" monero wallet address or:
A kraken address with integrated payment id (4gDoN....)
A normal wallet address without payment ID at all.

You can delete your payment ID by removing it from the field in your account settings and saving that.

I was thinking to avoid confusion maybe having a drop down menu or radio buttons to that will change the account area depending on what wallet type you choose ?

Uh I'm quite busy with testing a new payout scheme on a separate pool currently but maybe after that i'll look into it. Currently nothing is "lost", the payment is just stuck and people usually message me if they see something isn't going through so I can just check if they have a payment ID set and tell them to remove it when they're using a Kraken address as well... Or maybe I'll just colour the Payment ID field in RED when a Kraken Address is detected.. Something like that..

I've lowered the required confirmations on ZCL before payout happens now as well as everything seems fine on ZEC.

I'll decrease them further over time.

I've added payment id payouts to https://xmr.suprnova.cc now as well. They're tested and confirmed working. You can now be paid with integrated addresses, normal addresses and also payment ids.

Us and EU nodes, pplns payment etc..

Let me know if you need anything else Smiley

Hey ocminer,

Could you check the pool for transaction to wallet ? i haven't seen any since 11am this morning (11pm now) since i've been mining zcl (4 days ago) i was getting 1 transaction every 3-4hours (set @40 zcl) last confirmation of block is 5 hours ago. everything seems to be lagging alot.

Thanks

Hi !

I've checked the pool and everything looks good, transactions (credits/debits) are sucessfully completed every 5 minutes from what i see..

Whats your current balance ? Maybe you didn't hit the minimum amount yet ? Nethash quadrupled today on ZCL
1620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: XMR Monero Pool xmr.suprnova.cc MPOS Based PPLNS on: January 14, 2017, 09:40:50 PM
Okay, you can now enter payment ID's for Bittrex and Poloniex on the Pool:

Please be a bit careful at first and only transfer small amounts, i've did some testing and all was good but i'd consider it beta for now.
