I got my 30th June 7GH Jalapeno today.   Huh
1622  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Overclock USB ASIC MINER on: November 27, 2013, 07:32:26 PM
Yes, it is.

You have to change the clock crystal.  There's a thread on the subject here somewhere...
1623  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: November 27, 2013, 07:07:06 PM
I use BFGMiner so I can use it's built-in getwork proxy.

That really is a wonderful and under-appreciated feature IMO.

Indeed, I've been running it from the moment Luke-Jr added it - I've a pair of Blades that have been solid as a rock using BFG's proxy.  They weren't great when using slush's proxy.

1624  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: November 27, 2013, 06:18:49 PM

Are there any advantages in BFGMiner over CGMiner and or vice versa?
One works.  The other is cgminer.  Tongue

Nah, there's not much difference, really.  I use BFGMiner so I can use it's built-in getwork proxy.

NEW VERSION 3.6.0, NOVEMBER 12 2013

1626  Bitcoin / Hardware / (Try to) cancel your Jalapeno order and they ship it quicker! on: November 27, 2013, 05:18:47 PM
Tried to cancel my June 30th 7GH Jalapeno order at the end of October. My Jalapeno arrived in the UK today, order on BFL says fulfilled.  BFL_Jody Blog says they're shipping 7th June orders.  So it would seem they shipped my Jally ahead of schedule, and only reason I can see is because I tried to cancel.

Have to pay the £40 import tax tomorrow and I should have it finally, only 3 months late.

Hi wizkid,

has DDoS ended and Eligius 100% operational and good to come back now?

Come back?  Why did you leave?  Huh  Mining's been totally solid for months...

Someone mentioned a Corsair CX750 I assume that wouldn't run 2x though?

The CX750 will run 2 OK.  I'm beating the crap out of a CX750 here with 2x V1 Blades overclocked, 2x overclocked Jalapenos, 2 USB hubs full of BlueFurys and Block Erupters, a network switch and a RPi.  It's only pulling 400W from the wall, and is running totally cool.
1634  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: UK ASICminer Blade and Cube group buy #9 on: November 27, 2013, 02:58:53 PM
Cube price yet?  Huh

Starting to think the EU aren't ever going to get these, or they'll be like the Blades that were 'OMG expensive' until they basically became pointless and then the price came down.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very pleased with my two V1 Blades.  But the Cube needs to be around 1BTC to be worth the bother...

Excuse me while I get back to tweaking my horrendously overpriced Jalapeno I just received today...  Roll Eyes

1636  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Block Erupter Blade help. Very odd issue... on: November 27, 2013, 01:11:02 PM
IP doesn't matter.  There's a power issue I'm sure of it.
1637  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: My miners turn on and off! on: November 27, 2013, 11:09:42 AM
It's either power to the hub, or it's shitty AsMedia USB3 drivers.  I had similar issues when running an Anker USB3 hub off the AsMedia USB ports on an Asus SABERTOOTH 990FX board.  Running off a different machine with Intel USB3 ports cured the issue.
1638  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Block Erupter Blade help. Very odd issue... on: November 27, 2013, 11:07:00 AM
What are you using for a power supply (both of you?).

I had similar issues, along with total power downs when I was using my old Zalman 1000W PSU.  Replaced it with a Corsair CX750 and everything's been running perfectly.

1640  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Block Erupter Blade keeps resetting at around 2 min. on: November 27, 2013, 08:13:26 AM
As folks have said, the 2 minute 20 seconds is the automatic watchguard.  If the Blade isn't getting work, then it resets.

Try Eligius or BitMinter, both still have a getwork server running.  I have Eligius' getwork interface set as the backup pool on my Blades, with the primary server the getwork proxy on BFGMiner that's running on MinePeon on the RPi.
