1621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin creator? Craig Wright 100% Satoshi Nakamoto? on: December 06, 2021, 11:05:53 PM
Just a signed message of Bitcoin address that's publicly known by satoshi.  No proof it means he is telling a lie and he is nonsense and should people put him or their ignore list.

So, that's a big NO, he isn't a Bitcoin creator and he isn't a Satoshi Nakamoto.  He is just an attention seeker just to promote his own coin as well and called it "BSV" which is I doubt, the reason he was trying to impersonate as a Bitcoin creator just because of his coin.

It's very well said, Greg Maxwell, so you think now that this who claiming Satoshi is the real one?
1622  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why exactly is it that people don't like identifying yourselves (KYC)? on: December 06, 2021, 02:36:52 PM
Though people keep trying to avoid KYC for privacy purposes, on the other side, the central agencies that under by the government must always hardly implement this to get in touch with their citizens to avoid being a fraud because without having KYC sometimes because abuse in many platforms that could be lead into more worst of a hack.  We know since the start, the government has combating many kinds of fraud just to protect people.

In fact, KYC isn't a problem here, why?
The problem is where we can entrust your information to any certain platforms and yes, that's very risky on our part to disclose any information related to use especially when we talked about money which is very hot to the eyes of scammers and hackers.  So, if you trust them and don't have a choice, then, we can't avoid KYC verification but make it sure that's trusted enough and has strong security.
1623  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will rise or fall. on: December 05, 2021, 11:59:14 PM
Dont look at the market in just a week or days, it should be a month or year and as I can see there, the Bitcoin correction price isn't yet alarming to me.  Of course, we know that there's no infinite growth of Bitcoin price, it will always have a chance that after surging too much in the market it will drop some time.  So I think this is normal that there's a downfall and Bitcoin has a nature of this rise and fall and this isn't new at all.

Instead of worrying about this downfall why not you didn't grab the chance to accumulate some while the Bitcoin price was down.  I believed FUD was still there and the reason Bitcoin didn't yet recover the correction.  Expected soon it will.
1624  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why should I use Kucoin over Binance? on: December 05, 2021, 11:51:39 PM
Both exchanges are good and reputable ones, of course, they had pros and cons that should be traders prefer of choosing.  Both exchanges are also the same based in Asia which is Binance based in China while Kucoin was based in Hongkong, they are all in the place which there's no strict when it comes to regulation.

So, now upon picking which is a good exchange platform, it's up to us and which we prefer.
Binance pros which I liked,
  • high liquidity exchange in all exchanger
  • Have a low trading transaction fee
  • KYC process low fairly simple
  • Offer SAFU

While Kucoin didn't offer SAFU which is the only difference among them.  But as I said it depend on the traders which they preferred.

1625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Is HODL the only strategy? on: December 05, 2021, 11:33:38 PM
I own different crypto and mostly I stake with them because I am interested in the long return. With bitcoin I am actually doing nothing. Can you suggest any strategies to make even a little APR? I know that I can't stake with bitcoin.
If you want to stake it, it should be into a specific platform. But the twist, is that you're not holding the keys of it. That's why there's no staking in bitcoin.
And the actual is that you're lending your bitcoin to that platform, most likely it is an exchange and they'll give you a return for doing that. Not that much and not worth of the risk.
That's the difference if you're holding your Bitcoin and staking on it on a good platform exchange, speaking of a good exchange that can be trusted to hold your asset might be hard to choose right now.  Because you will never know when they will become shut down or there is a hack that will happen.

Ain't against staking even though you're not holding your private key but of course, don't put all your eggs there.  It should be the majority of your assets you have control over your private key and the rest is that you can afford to lose.

However, there's no one beat on holding, it gives a guarantee when it comes to the security of your assets.
1626  Other / Meta / Re: Interesting facts about the merit system on: December 05, 2021, 11:21:12 PM
Can you think of anything to change their behavior about this especially in an effort to reduce spam on this forum?
The manager should check their quality post that might change their posting behavior.
There are some scenarios that a bounty hunter will spam and be forced to complete the weekly quota because they had multiple accounts, they can't able to put some effort into their posts that result from spam.

To reduce the spam post it could be by helping with us.  Just report to the moderator if there's an irrelevant, off-topic, and nonsense post that results in spam, in that way, we can help moderators to take action quickly of those reports.  But of course, bounty managers should always be the first addressed to this question.

Paid Bitcoin signature members have got many eyes to them, if you didn't have a constructive post it might you will be reported and have a chance to be kicked on the signature campaign.  There are many users waiting for the free slots on the paid Bitcoin signature campaign, so most likely they will put effort to maintain their position.  Not like in bounty signature.
1627  Other / Meta / Re: locked my topic, why? on: December 05, 2021, 02:08:06 PM
The reason could be;
  • Redundant question
  • Nonsense thread
  • Sounds like begging merit

However, you're still lucky because your thread ain't get deleted, it means there was a meaningful comment there that should be enough to answer your question.  Instead of barking about on merit just prove to yourself first that you've deserved to have even single merit, not that way.

Hopefully, you will learn from all suggestions and comments above.
1628  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Would you like to trading with meme coins?? on: December 03, 2021, 11:59:39 PM
That's the risk of a hyped coin, anytime soon it will drop without any sign of when it will be or when the exact time frame.
Not like with the coin that has real investors because of its use.  Meme coins are very risky to trade if you are doing this make sure that you have applied the cut loss (stop-loss) when the price goes down.

A trading plan is also very important for you to avoid being confused or it becomes misled which will result in massive loss.  IMO, meme coin isn't good for long-term trading, it might be good in the short term but you must be careful.
1629  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to avoid cryptocurrency transaction Error. on: December 03, 2021, 11:48:12 PM
It is about the carefulness in copying and pasting the wallet from the source to the place for the wallet itself. And yes, double check is very important.
or if you are doubtful, many exchanges or platforms commonly also provide a QR scanners in order to scan and copy the wallet address directly.
The best is to check the last and the first 3 characters on the address that you copy-pasted, manual checking is very important to avoid such errors.  We never know if our device has been infected with malware, we copy-pasted an address from the hacker and that's possible.

However what make a transaction error is not only about the walet, but also the:
- Network in which it uses wrong network (like using BSC network to send ERC20 token wallet
- Lower transaction fee
That's it, this is a very common issue when someone got a mistake sending a coin or the wrong Blockchain network because they similar address.  Just like Bitcoin which is the same as Bitcoin cash, or BSC address the same on ERC20 address.
1630  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: All Metamask settings & Networks lost on: November 30, 2021, 11:58:14 PM
Any setting you add manually is locally stored in the computer/device.
I tend to agree!
This is how extensions and apps work either wallet or any platform, all information is locally stored, once you've used another device it will ask again for credintial and information so that it will be able to access from other devices.

Per device it has a different password, as mentioned above, any settings that are stored are locally saved per device used.  So it's okay if you will use a different password but it's expected that when you come back to your device it will back to the default.
1631  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the sites where it is paid daily or weekly with STAKING on: November 30, 2021, 11:39:16 PM
I bet Kucoin and Binance, are the best exchanges for now for staking and the feature that you're looking for was in them.
Here's a video from Youtube that you will surely learn about staking of the platforms that I mentioned above.  You need also to read more about staking since you are new to this field just read this, Crypto Staking Guide 2021.

I don't know if there's a gambling platform that offers to stake your asset, AFAIK, it's all on the exchange platform.

However, OP should have his/her own research further more than we suggested, it's better to have own research than relying upon others' opinions.
1632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will a coin cost if the USA abandon the US dollar today and switch to BTC? on: November 30, 2021, 10:59:39 PM
If we take every dollar in existence and make the existing quantity of BTC equal that amount of value, what will a coin cost in the (now-defunct) dollar?

Just wondering what will happen if a large economy switch to Bitcoin
There's no such way, Bitcoin is decentralized and the dollar is centralized, I don't think that the well-developed country will do such a thing, they even have heavy regulations.  Bitcoin needs also fiat to have a real value and I don't think it can overtake Bitcoin besides no one government replacing their fiat.

I don't know even if this what IF will happen and what is the result to the economy, we know that the world's market influenced on the dollar value as of now.
1633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to accumulate more bitcoin other than buying with FIAT. on: November 30, 2021, 04:07:43 PM
Or are there other ways to grow your bitcoin portfolio? Can you explain a little bit in detail?
The perfect answer was here.
You either:
- mine it
- earn it
- buy it

If you have bought 1 Bitcoin and store it in your portfolio, it will always remain 1 Bitcoin, only the value towards the dollar will fluctuate.
Through mining and investing mining rigs for your mining equipment, is one factor that you can accumulate Bitcoin, and second is earn it, which means you need to offer your service in exchange for Bitcoin which are very common here in the forum by joining signature or joining bounty and trade token to Bitcoin.

Trading is very risky, there wasn't a guarantee that you will earn from it.  If you don't have knowledge of it, I discourage you from this activity.

Anyway, if there's someone offering you to double your Bitcoin as an investment in just a matter of a day, weeks, or months, just stay away from it, because that's a Ponzi scheme that usually turns out into a scam.
1634  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinexmy.com on: November 30, 2021, 03:01:21 PM
If you ask me I don't see any single reason to deposit on that platform. I don't know what is that had driven you to deposit in this scam platform. Even ignore the Ponzi scheme, I won't choose a new centralized exchange until they prove them legit. Why should deposit in a brand new exchange that doesn't have any history of trust? Because nowadays scammers just buy an exchange script with a few dollars and start a scam mission. So before choosing an exchange search as much as possible. Especially find on multiple cryptocurrency forums where the public can discuss freely.
I tend to agree or I have a motive that OP was trying to advertise here that possible scam exchange.  When I encounter exchange sites that I never heard them before, I always use Who.is platform to have a quick review on the site and verify as well for how long their services are.

I have been struggeling with their wallet verification process and have tapped into what I consider to be a scam. Any similar experiences?
You've smelled it and you better stay away from that exchange platform to avoid possible scams.  Because people here will never explore a new exchange platform that was created a month ago especially if this is a centralized exchange which is heavily required KYC verification.
All possible scam sign was shown above so what you have been expecting is that this exchange will never scam people.
1635  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't invest in anyone who? on: November 29, 2021, 11:59:10 PM
He first told me that I was a big investor and that newcomers would get their money back in four days. So I believe and invest 50$. He promised to pay me 550$ in four days. Shortly after investing in it, he said no. And lied in various ways.
This is an old trick and I don't know why there are still people who will fall into this kind of trap.  There's a lot of them on social media offering service like this, like FaceBook and most especially in Telegram which is they keep sending you a message.

It's obviously a scam because it doubles your money, there's no investment like this and it will always end up losing your money.  Strangers or even your friends aren't to be trusted when it comes to investment when they approach through our social media account, always verify how they will generate profit to give it back to the investors.  Doubling money or crypto is always a scam, better to stay away from them.
1636  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking for daytrading strategies for beginners/intermediates. on: November 29, 2021, 11:51:57 PM
I'll give the most important advice for me as a trader.
"Risk management"
That's quite good advice and IMO, the last one that can contribute to your advice is (Trading Plan).
Sometimes emotions and hype will lead us to nowhere that becomes a result of possible losses and yes, a trading plan is very important as beginners in trading.  If your trading strategy won't work at a time, change it quickly because that not might be suitable for you.

Trading isn't an easy job if you think, it needs lots of technique and strategies, patience is a must while dealing with the market condition.
1637  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New in bitcointalk. Can i participate in Bounty campaign? on: November 29, 2021, 02:50:51 PM
How can I imagine that you're promoting scam projects because you don't know even yourself how to verify a legit project itself.
I encourage you to learn first before joining bounty hunters and don't let yourself becomes one of those toxics in the forum that didn't contribute anything and if you will check on their post history under profile, it's all about bounty claims which is not good at all.

However, you can spend over a week reading a lot of informative threads here in the forum that you should know, starting from reading the rules and regulations that are very important upon joining the bounty campaign since you know already the forum rules, which are the dos and donts.
1638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange or hardware wallet ? on: November 29, 2021, 02:40:46 PM
What are the advantages and disadvantages of these two methods to store your coins?
Hardware we have full control to our coin, maybe pros that we save coins in exchange is we can sell it immediately if needed. Because if save in our own wallet, that means more fees that will be used for transaction especially if we are trade and must doing deposit and withdrawal coins.
If that is so just because of the fess, I won't hesitate to spend less $1-2 for the fess rather than your whole crypto earning will disappear once the exchangers are becomes compromised.  It's been always good to store your coin in a hardware wallet or any wallet that you have full control over your private key, in that way your coins are safe.

It could be the advantage of an exchange is the quick trade into fiat if you need it but it's just a matter of an hour if you'll wait while using hardware wallets.  The most important factor is the safeguard of your portfolio and avoiding possible scams or even exchange becomes compromised and your coin might be stuck.
1639  Other / Meta / Re: how improve rank?? on: November 29, 2021, 02:13:31 PM
I've seen a few users consciously kick themselves out of a high paying campaign. The most recent is CryptopreneurBrainboss and Nutildah from the Best_Change signature campaign. A few others too have chosen to wear there own signature in contrast to joining any campaign.
AFAIK, they have different issues and reasons why they are leaving on the Best Change campaign.
Thinking that it's not just here that our world revolves, in real life, we have different priorities than here and that's why most of us can't able to give our precious time not like before when we're actively contributing a lot here in the forum. (not all of them)

Before ain't thinking about how to rank up but instead, put an effort into every thread that you've posted (it's about an hour before I can create a post), you can interact with more threads once you've already been knowledgeable enough.  Don't think about how to improve rank, think first about how to gain knowledge, and then the last thing rank up isn't a barrier at all.

@OP, just prove yourself that you are deserving to rank up and not asking or begging merit, our merit sources aren't blind, they know which members are actively contributing to the forum and they most likely look at your post history.  The first comment on this thread was right, (read more, post less).
1640  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What is you Opinion About Gate.io on: November 29, 2021, 01:23:04 PM
It's your choice if you really want to pick Gate.io exchange to buy tokens that you want.  I have an unverified account on Gate.io and I was selling there 3 years ago and that was didn't require KYC.  But now, I didn't use it because of the KYC they implemented and I think that was since last year.  If you have these valid IDs for verification, (National ID, Passport, and Driver's License) then, you are good to go.

As what I have experienced before using this exchange was so far, so good and I have never encountered difficulties just like withdrawal.  If you don't have an option, just take a risk on that platform but remember once you have submitted KYC, it will always be there.
