1621  Economy / Economics / Re: Oil price War will Bring real War soon in Middle east on: March 18, 2020, 10:46:47 PM
There will be no war, one cannot just take it and say: "The name of the country, you are bad, we are flying to bomb you." Saudi Arabia, on the contrary, helps the United States with cheap oil, because with every decrease in the cost of oil by $ 10, US GDP is growing by 0.2% in annual terms.

USA is exporter of oil. Price of oil barrel will go definitely sub $10. Fracking industry will get pwned. Saudis & Putin mafia rules.

https://sharylattkisson.com/2020/03/new-the-first-59-u-s-coronavirus-deaths-by-state-and-age/

This thing is almost exclusively taking out very sick very old people. Most of these people would have probably died this year or next anyway.

It does if it is controlled. I dont know real data but from statistic of 12 corona patient on intensive care, USA should have around 100 corona virus patients hospitalised. That is nothing. Italy have 14954 patients in hospital, 2060 of them are on intensive care. Their hospitals are overwhelmed. So not only very old and already sick are dying there but also others. Not to mention someone having a car accident. He simply cant have same care as they would get few months ago.
1623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 17, 2020, 06:43:16 PM
it’s very painful to look at that price monero  Shocked Sad

How so?  It was under a buck like just 6 years ago.  Not bad for something made by a douchebag, taken over by a bunch of devs (smart ones), evangelized by a pony and has become the best candidate to replace BTC.

It was over $5 six years ago, but under $0.5 five years ago.  I know we are far from there, but it would be extremely comic if price would go sub $5  as it was after few months of existence when protocol and economy around it was nothing like it is today.
1624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why most of ALTCOINS are dead or worthless? on: March 17, 2020, 05:29:55 PM
Why most of ALTCOINS are dead or worthless?

In beginning of 2018 there were a lot of alcoins was launched in market, Most of them was just to scam people with typically referral method by social influencers.

This was also a flaw of Ethereum blockchain where any single person can create his own coin with his desired supply and name by costing very low fee.

Tokens issued on asset platforms as Ethereum are not really altcoins, they are tokens. They are worthless because they have no meaning. They have no use case. They never had and meaning and use case. They should never be crated. Well they could be created, but they should never been traded for any serious value.
1625  Economy / Economics / Re: A little good news for Asia on: March 17, 2020, 04:30:06 PM
Nothing goes down forever. Also nothing goes down all the time. To speculate that stock would reach bottom is way to early. Of course it is possible, but we live in global world. So news from everywhere can shake stock indexes everywhere else.
1626  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we going to see another PANIC on: March 17, 2020, 04:08:30 PM
We all know that most crypto market is located in China, since lock down it been 2 months and ongoing; some cities still in quarantine and tons of people can't move.

That is for sure not true. Most crypto is used in Europe and North america. Just look at Bitcoin ATM map.
1627  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE.me - Crypto Casino 🎰 Now Accepting EOS | Roll Hunt | Bonuses on: March 16, 2020, 10:09:58 PM
Personally, I don't recognize a style on this site, the graphics are not very well cared for, they seem to be in a hurry for these reasons I wouldn't even register, as a betting site it doesn't seem very attractive to me. In this sector you have to attract the attention of the players or the boat sinks early.

Really? I loved the graphic when i first saw it. Nowadays I dont even notice it anymore, since I got used of it. But I remember when i first got to the site I said to myself that web casinos made a long way. It looked way better then web casinos i visited in past.

People Investing in Healthcare Projects after CORONA VIRUS Epidemic ?

What about dentacoin? It is medical project. Does it have future after Covid19 epidemic? If not, what does dentacoin have to do to have future in this turbulent times?
1629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 16, 2020, 08:34:09 PM
...or $19 mark so until I see either of those hit I really don't see a point in recommending a buy to anyone who hasn't already been buying it all the way down until this point...

I'm not here to gloat, yet, but . . . hope ya'll're staying healthy and sane Cheesy

I wonder can Monero (or even the crypto markets at large) recover to an ATH from such a desperate drop?

I know we've seen some phoenix like rising from ashes, but even as someone who bought mostly around 7usd, it seems like a gargantuan task to ascend from here.

Yes definitely, but not this year. No matter how good things will turn out. Most likely not even in 2021. But that is already harder to predict. We will see $400+ Monero in 2022.

Economic recession had to happen at some point. Ideal would be after next bull market in 2021-2022. But we will have it now. All it will do is to postponed next bull market. On other hand this postponement can be also positive. Monero will have more time to build and develop its protocol and infrastructure. Maybe we will even have Triptych-2 https://eprint.iacr.org/2020/312 by then. Triptych-2 seem to be the most appealing option that is currently researched in Monero Research Lab.

Can we agree BTC is not a store of value?

Of course is not if on average change value for few % every day. It will take many many years before Bitcoin will become stable currency to be store of value.
1631  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 16, 2020, 07:08:28 PM
Corona is temporary... it will go away eventually...
Or stay permanently.

In Hubei province 2 cities (Xiaogan and Tianmen) locked down again after opening for only one day, this happens when you force to reopening facilities while the virus is still going on.

Spreading route is unstoppable, at this point there is always someone out there who keeps infecting other people and most likely without realising it.

Even when China ore Italy trying to get their country back to nomal there is a very high possibility to get reinfected again. Epicentre might be located in another city/region.

I don't want to see people suffering ore boomers to die -this needs to end asap- i'm a realist, as far i see it Covid19 will stay here for a while.

Teams around the globe working 24/7 finding a vaccine, i have full confident they will solve this problem. But when and how the virus behaves along the way is still uncertain.

It's a pretty crazy situation. If the virus doesn't recede significantly over the summer, will we stay on global lockdown for 1 year+, while waiting for a vaccine?

By Autumn all countries will have set systems to detect virus much faster and many will already get over it and have immunity.  Businesses and people will be way more organised to work and live with virus.  Elder citizens and sick will get quarantined.  Life will go on, just different then it went half year ago.
1632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] COVID-19 Hits Ethereum Community Conference, Six People Test Positive on: March 15, 2020, 08:24:53 PM
This is very irresponsible of the conference organizers and the Parisian Ethereum community. It might have been ok to give them excuse if the conference was on January or February. However, on March, it is a certainty that all conferences and mass gatherings should be declared dangerous.

In Paris yes it is dangerous, but in many countries not, since they have zero infected. Situation of course can change, and it will change. And Paris might become corona free and conferences there might get safe again.
1633  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 15, 2020, 03:28:31 PM
People will panic, hospitals will break down, their staff will break down too. China, Italy as role models.

You need to understand that China for like a month had no idea what strike them. They did not had any tests. It was flu season and people that got infected were treated like they have flu. A big part of 3000+ Chines that died died so that the rest of the world had Covid tests weeks in advance than they got the first patient. They had time to prepare. China did extremely well! Of course them being second biggest economy helped them tremendously.

1635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Grin Observer - GRN/BTC - Price Movement and Discussion on: March 15, 2020, 03:16:19 PM
Yes price of Bitcoin was right now definitely expected to be closer to $10k then to $5k. Much easier is to predict Bitcoin price. 10000 satoshi was a price I used to have in mind, that correlated with $1.  So far price got to 7400 sat. With upcoming economic uncertainty and with 86% mining emission ( yes the 86% and not unlimited as so many like to call it), I dont believe that is anywhere close to minimum price.
1636  Other / Archival / Re: CVirus Token on: March 15, 2020, 02:10:07 PM
There are many tokens and coins created with the name of corona virus.
I dont think we still need one, ...

We actually need exactly zero. There is no point in any. Same as there is no point in most of the coins and tokens that already exist.
1637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which tokens do you like to stake/hold for profits? on: March 14, 2020, 09:12:24 PM
Which tokens do you like to stake/hold for profits?

What you earn from staking is so small compared to how much some coin/token increase/decrease value in one month. I would not bother with thinking of how much you can earn by staking but rather buy coins/tokens that will have use case in future and its value will increase in next 10 years.  Also if sole use case of a coin is to stake it sounds a lot like a ponzi.

Understandable, but you do not need to do anything right? Also this NwC project has 25% rewards if you buy enough of those coins, that's not that bad imo.. But as i said i'm still new in this segment.

Price of Bitcoin dropped 40% in single day two days ago. It can also grow the same. Altcoins are even more volatile. You say a coin have 25% reward for a year?  I can only make a big LOL!!!
1638  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will BTC go? on: March 14, 2020, 06:55:19 PM
This is not looking too good for Bitcoin holders. Some scientists estimate there will be 100 million plus infected with the Coronavirus2019 in the United States, eventually.
USA is the finance and Bitcoin capital of the world.

If you are big holder you can simply move to China. I never see any event that is bad fro Bitcoin holders. I see plenty events that are very bad for those that love to trade Bitcoins or those that have any.
1639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think this is the news we need for market to recover on: March 14, 2020, 06:31:05 PM
Many are associating the Corona Virus has something to do with the crash of the market, because they theorize that people are liquidating their shares or coins and converting it to fiat so they can buy basic necessities in case these pandemic, but what if our medicine experts finally find the cure, will the market recover  because of this news?

What's your take on this?

On average it takes 1.5 to 2 years to find vaccine for viruses like this. I am positive that in 2 years time markets will recover. Until then recession is inevitable.
1640  Economy / Economics / Re: Coin prices down 25% to 30% this morning. on: March 14, 2020, 06:09:40 PM
Buying opportunity approaching!  I just need to learn when to sell at the right time.

You also need to learn when to buy at the right time. Knowing just when to sell will not help you much if you buy at more expensive then you sell.  This will also be result in most cases. This drop was sort of expected but in general Bitcoin price is manipulated by Bitcoin whales and you cant predict anything.
