Yes, this topic needs some love  Smiley
Inter - Napoli should be a derby but I belive Napoli is much closer to win here. When I remember how out of form were Inter forwards in world cup I just don't see Inter making enough chances to even score a goal. Lukaku and Martinez probably need about 20 chances combined to get on score sheet  Grin
Agree with your thoughts. After all, league table probably reflects who is who this season and Inter is far away from Napoli isn't without a reason. I'm going to put some money on Napoli, odds for them looks nice, though, bookmakers are giving little advantage for Inter.

The final has now started and the score is 1-1 in sets. It is an unprecedented high level so far. And a 9 darter has already fallen.
And it was one of greatest legs that I ever saw. Van Gerwen was just D12 away from making 9 darter himself, but he missed it and then Smith closed leg by making 9 darter himself. Must watch:
https://twitter.com/OfficialPDC/status/1610378769520377858
And I think it was key moment in this match. It was great final, but after 9 darter Michael Smith looked more confident and solid.
Congratulations to Michael Smith for becoming 2023 World Champion!

BTW it seems that a HIMARS strike aimed (probably) to a munitions depot has also killed between 62 (official RF figure) and 300 (Ukrainian estimate) soldiers.

https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/ukraine-shells-donetsks-makiivka-hitting-military-quarters-officials-2023-01-01/
Now it's already 89 dead and probably rest few hundreds will be announced as gone without any sign
BTW, Russia already made ''revenge'' for it. They attacked ice arena Altair in Druzhkivka. Maybe some of you already saw this video when moment of attack was caught live on French TV:
https://twitter.com/Flash_news_ua/status/1610044712215257088
Guess what Russia said about it. They destroyed 2 HIMARS systems, 4 RM-70 Vampire systems and killed 120 Ukrainian troops:
https://meduza.io/news/2023/01/03/minoborony-rf-otchitalos-ob-udare-po-skopleniyu-voennoy-tehniki-v-druzhkovke-ukrainskie-vlasti-soobschali-chto-tam-razrushili-ledovuyu-arenu-altair
Here is ice arena looks after attack. I don't see any signs that it was base of military. If things that Russia says would be true, I think that this place would look similar like school in Makeevka after attack.
https://t.me/uniannet/85434
BTW, about destroyed HIMARS. Russia now already had destroyed 27 HIMARS, when Ukraine had only 20:
https://imgur.com/3EsVRw0
So, now Russia destroyed more HIMARS than Ukraine had and Ukraine somehow still manage to destroy occupants using it. It's material for Veleor who said that Russian Defense ministry and state owned media never caught lying.

Yesterday both semifinals weren't very exciting, both favorites got comfortable wins. Van Gerwen didn't let for Van Den Bergh to win even 1 set and won match 6:0.
Today is last day and final between Van Gerwen and Smith. In the final they will play until someone will win 7 sets. Van Gerwen is heavy favorite according to bookmakers and it's nothing surprising, considering how he is playing.
1625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: January 03, 2023, 12:32:41 AM
Indeed, it's time to move this topic up. All 10 games of round will be played on Wednesday and despite that's midweek round, some games will be played very early, like 12:30 local time. Not sure why, maybe Italy is still on New Year holidays. So, better don't miss to leave predictions and make it earlier.
No doubts that Inter - Napoli is key game of this round.

I have a subscription to Gazzetta.it (G+), it's around €20 per year, they've tons of exclusive material daily, and not limited to Serie A... the downside is that it's only in Italian.

Football Italia is free and covers pretty much everything, from transfers to interviews and developing stories. Both Gazzetta and Football Italia have Twitter accounts.

I guess it's same problem with all leagues other than EPL - lack of content about it in English. Thanks for Football-Italia link - to the bookmarks.

I read you story just now. I'm not very emotional person, but for me sometimes is difficult to pick words. And now I'm thinking for some time what to write. Man, I have no idea how I would feel in your place. I read your story several times and it seems that you're not showing much emotions. I don't know, maybe it just doesn't reflects in your text. Or maybe after everything that you already went through, now you manage to accept all challenges that you get from life, as you simply have no other choice. You're seem to be very strong person.
I know story from my country where man, over 60 years old, he was checking his health on regular basis, but got hearth attack. He was in coma for more than 40 days. But after heart transplantation he can live completely normal life. Now he can excercise and even go to sauna.
Health is such important thing, but unfortunately with our busy lifes, we start to value it only after we lose it. I hope that everything will be fine for you. Stay strong!
1627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Darts] 2023 PDC World Darts Championship 🎯 on: January 01, 2023, 10:33:19 PM
At the moment the number 1 in the world, Price, plays against the German Clemens. Clemens has taken a 2-1 lead in sets. Perhaps a bit surprising. Later in the evening we see the favorite for the title still in action, Michael van Gerwen. He then plays against Cris Dobey. The 2 games of the afternoon were not favorites games, but they were entertaining. Especially Clayton - van den Berg was very exciting and that match seemed to go both ways for a long time. Michael Smith is a player who is considered an outsider for the title, but then he will have to throw a lot better than today.
Wow, Price lost 5:1 to Clemens. From all 1/4 final games it's only that I didn't saw, so, I'm wondering what happened to Price. In other evening game Van Gerwen left no chance for Dobey and won match very easy 5:0 he had impressive average -102 points.
Smith - Bunting was great match to watch, even if quality of it wasn't good. Smith won without playing good. Bunting had much bigger averages, much more 180s, but still lost as he missed lot of doubles. Happy to see Van den Bergh reaching semis for the first time.
I don't know why you consider Smith as outsider for the title. He is big favorite in semifinal against Clemens, same like Van Gerwen against Van den Bergh. But potentially in the final, if Van Gerwen will play same like today, he is big favorite.
1628  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia/Ukraine, Who is to blame? on: January 01, 2023, 10:15:43 PM
NATO's supply of weapons and aid to Ukraine will only make the war longer and worse, not make things better, and most likely World War 3 will start from here, I don't expect it. With Nato or not, the Russian plan is still the same, what the Russians are doing is just defending their territory and preventing Nato's expansion. They underestimated others thinking they could extend the block to every corner of the world. It was not necessary for Ukraine to join Nato, it was clear that there was an arrangement to make Ukraine a victim of the war.
Russians is defending their territory? Interesting statement. Maybe I don't know something, but Ukraine or NATO dind't planned to invade Russia. And there is no battles happening in Russian cities like Rostov, Kursk or Belgorod. All battles is happening in territory of Ukraine and I'm not really sure how Russian defend their land by invading another country.
Ukraine saw necessity to join NATO as Russia become security threat for for them. I just remind thing called Budapest memorandum were Russia was supposed to be security guarantee of Ukraine.

I don't like playing the blame because it is mostly used by the weak. Accepting faults and taking responsibility for one's actions is my favorite game.
Russia wanted Ukraine to assure her that it would never join NATO because of the threat it poses to its security. But Ukraine failed to give such a guarantee because it sees Russia as an unrepentant aggressor. Thereafter, Russian Generals underestimated the powers of Ukraine and motivated Putin to invade her neighbor.

Russia should get most of the blame for not using dialogue to push its agenda in Ukraine. NATO should get a portion of the blame for its passive stance when Russia invaded and annexed Crimea. The sanctions against Russia during/after the Cremia invasion were not enough to scare them from future invasions. With the development in Ukraine, I am sure Russia and its likes have learned their lessons. All the nations that are giving loans/aid, trading with and supporting both parties are benefiting or would in the future benefit from this war.
Ukraine never gave promises to Russia that they never will join NATO. As independent country they can decide themselves what to do. After all, I still don't understand why for Russia it's OK to have their neighbours Poland and Baltic states in NATO, while Ukraine would be security threat already.
Good point about passive West reaction after Crimea and Easter Ukraine invasion. They imposed some sanctions, but it was more to make image that they're doing something and it had zero impact. And they continue to do like nothing didn't happened. Actually, some still continue to do it even after 24th of February. For example, they selling good to Russia, but they're doing it through 3rd parties like Kazakhstan.

If this so then who is backing Russia?. I don't know how accurate this might be but i think it is only Ukraine that is getting support from other bodies and the sole aim is to enable them protect their territory. For me Russians deserve to be blamed, I think Putin is only prolonging a lost battle. NATO and the US might have their interest in the war but obviously not at the expense of losing the lifes of both countries. Russians are the one making it bloody.
Iran is backing Russia by supplying them Shahed drones, which are renamed by Russia as Geran-2.

Heh man, self prophecy is a terrible thing. I see Jordi managed to get himself sent off too. Seems like all I need to do to see red cards is tune in to last 20 minutes of La Liga and see them do their best to get their marching orders. I get red cards, but earning them for complaining and whining and gesturing is something I really don't get.

Anyway. Tough luck...
Matheu Lahoz, what a clown, I still can't understand how he is considered as top Spanish referee. In last 20 minutes he become main star of game, same like in Argentina - Netherlands game and seems that he likes such attention. But Baca had to solve all questions ealerrier by scoring more than one goal and don't let such thing to happen.
In general, it wasn't bad round for me, managed to go up by 4 places to 8th. And congrats to @MoSla and @casperBGD for sharing Yellow Cap this round.
1631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: December 31, 2022, 11:46:40 AM
It's strange to have so much football on last day of year. 3 La Liga games and even 6 games in EPL.
Finally I will see Barcelona after break, derby with Espanyol isn't easy usually, but this time I expect comfortable our win.
Other games between Real Sociedad - Osasuna and Villarreal - Valencia should be interesting.

regarding tomahawk9, already asked what is happening with him in some topic, as I saw that his FPL team left unmanaged, really hope that he is well and just on break, he was active about FPL a lot, and it is strange to see that there is no his posts there
if anyone has any info, let us know Smiley
It seems that he disappeared in the middle of World Cup and it's really strange. I hope that he is fine. It's one of downsides of anonymous forums that if something happens, there is no way how to reach person outside forum, unless he gave his contacts.
1632  Other / Meta / Re: What one change would you like to see in bitcointalk in 2023 on: December 31, 2022, 12:16:47 AM
It's simple question, but it's not so easy to answer and I don't know what to say without thinking for some more time. In general, Bitcointalk is stuck in time, without going deep into details forum looks same like in 2010 and probably it's not that easy to implement changes to such old software.
In general, I'm fine with current state of forum. Offcourse, there is lot of room for improvement, like responsive design on mobile but I think it's difficult to expect big changes. In last few years we didn't had any big changes, and in general, what was last significant update. Trust flags maybe?

What one change would you like to see in bitcointalk in 2023?

Why is everyone wants to change some of the features on this forum?

Why aren't we happy with the current setup of the forum?

If there was to change anything, theymos would have done it already. When the forum admin did not want any changes and think everything is perfect, why do we insist on the changes?
Maybe because Bitcointalk got so outdated? Since Bitcointalk was launched world has changed a lot and forum got stuck in past.
If it would be so easy to implement changes, probably it wouldn't had taken almost 9 years and counting to make new forum software.
P.S. I'm fine with current forum, but I understand people who ask for changes.
1633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euroleague 2022/23 Season on: December 30, 2022, 11:14:46 PM
While I was waiting for the Real Madrid game to start, I saw the end of this match on TV. The match went into overtime and Barcelona won by playing better in overtime. Crvena Zvezda played well, but it wasn't enough to win.
Crvena Zvezda would have won had Mirotic not extended the game with that incredible three-pointer. But when the match went to overtime by conceding such a buzzer beater, the morale of the players of Crvena Zvezda fell. We watched a really good final moments.

That magic moment: https://twitter.com/EuroLeague/status/1608918720545722370

Well, it seems that Mirotic stepped on the line before buzzer-beater and the shot shouldn't have counted:
https://basketnews.com/news-183109-nikola-mirotic-stepped-on-the-line-before-the-buzzer-beater-vs-zvezda.html
It's pity that such great moment was result of referees mistake. What is ridiculuous that referees didn't went to watch replay of it. Sometimes they watch replays of meaningles moments for 5 minutes and now they didn't went to watch moment where game outcome is decided.
1634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Portuguese League - Liga Portugal 2022/23 on: December 30, 2022, 11:06:56 PM
well, Benfica is losing against braga, if the game continues like this then this will be a defeat for benfica that will make Porto closer to benfica, but in a way even I was already wondering if this season things would be different because last season when benfica was doing well they started to sell players and the team became unstable and they started to lose games and as a result they didn't manage to become champions, it seems to me that history will repeat itself this season

the fact that benfica is a team like the teams in the bundesliga that are profiting from the business of selling players means that benfica does not care much about winning the league, for benfica to win the league and more a matter of having more exposure for selling players than looking for profit, they only need to worry about securing a place in the champions league, unfortunately this is the scenario for many teams

well:

Braga 2 - 0 Benfica

1 half

it seems to me that the game is already decided
Wow, what a performance by Braga and Benfica suffers their first defeat this season. And it's not just loss, they lost big - 3:0. Braga started game very powerful with early goal and in general, they were better team on pitch. I think that final result reflect game quite well. Third goal of game is must see - great Braga counter attack with precise long pass of goalkeeper. I'm happy about this result because it will make second part of season more interesting.
But I don't agree that for Benfica it doesn't cares about winning league and they think only about selling players and getting into Champions league. I think it's big emberrasement for them when main rivals Sporting and Porto wins league. @joker_josue, you're from Portugal, say the word about it Cheesy.
1635  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 📝[Discussion topic] Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns📝 on: December 30, 2022, 09:27:37 PM
What's the current consensus on participants applying for spots in multiple campaigns at the same time?

Is it frowned upon or acceptable?

I could argue both ways:
From the managers' perspective - it's probably a major inconvenience if accepted participants are actually not interested as they went with a different campaign.
From the participants' perspective - applying for one at a time could mean available spots in other campaigns can run out while they're patiently waiting for a response from campaign manager (which can take ages, or they could not respond at all) - which also doesn't sound very fair.

Thoughts?
It's probably would be best if managers themselves would tell what's their stance on it. We can only speculate. Personally, I think it's not big deal. It's inconvenience for managers if users who applied to that campaign got accepted into another. But probably not the major one.
There is good example given above - people applying to multiple jobs at the same time - it's completely normal practice. And when you get calls from both companies that you accepted, you choose that one which offer better conditions.
1636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euroleague 2022/23 Season on: December 30, 2022, 08:55:12 PM
Final round of 2022 didn't disappointed. Crvena Zvezda were leading big part of game against Barcelona. They had one job - foul against Barcelona and don't let them to make 3 point attempt. I can't understand how they failed to do that and let Mirotic to shot. In overtime Barca won, despite that coach Jasikevicius got ejected.
Yesterday Efes completely stopped playing in 4th quarrter against Maccabi, lost it 23:7, letting Maccabi to score almost 20 points without response. Maccabi won the game.
Seems that Olimpia finally got their game. They beat Valencia and it's their 3rd win in a row.
1637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: December 30, 2022, 08:21:49 PM
That moment when draw away with Celta for Sevilla probably isn't that bad result, considering everything. They're still in relegation zone, but in upcoming few rounds they will play mostly with bottom table teams, so, they will have chance to finally go up.
Real game starting soon, it will be interesting to see how they will look after break.

Did you guys see Morata goal/performance yesterday? He dribbled into the box and took some week shot or even pass and then fallen down like they killed him. While he is almost dying on the field he hears from crowd that his team scored a goal, miraculously gets up to celebrate with his team mates only to realize that he is the one that scored a goal.
Yeah, saw it and it's one of things that I hate most about modern football when at one moment player is looking like dying and just after few seconds he is playing like nothing didn't happened. But yeah, that was probably strangest goal this season.
1638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: December 30, 2022, 12:03:24 AM
Opening game of round was great, my BTTS bet passed easy, butlater games were so disappointing and it burned my profit. I had 2:0 on Atletico, but literally few minutes before the game I changed it to 3:0. Another proof that such changes isn't good idea Cheesy.
If it's difficult to expect something exciting from Atletico, even against Elche, then I had bit bigger expectations from Betis - Athletic game.

Only a couple of exact score in the remaining fixtures can save me from dropping beyond imagination in the leaderboard.
C'mon, you're 3rd, even with terrible round you can't drop much.
Don't know why Superbru dashboard on La Liga pool is still stuck like before World Cup break, but I got relief when I saw actual table where I'm slightly above 16th place.

Don't tell what I should do I won't tell where you have to go.
You're tired to read about war? Oh no, what a huge first world problem... Solution - skip news about war, don't read it, but don't tell what other people should do. You're tired to read news, while people are tired to live more than 10 months under constant bombing, living in cold without electricity and heating. I'm not even talking about losing family members, home. And you're just tired to read news about war.

OP, one more thing, Nato is not as pacifist as you think, the head of NATO is the one who caused this war.
And offcourse, it's not Putin's fault and he isn't the one who caused this war...
