1621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will This Habit Lead You To Chase Your Losses And Addictive To Gambling on: October 26, 2022, 12:52:27 AM
Do you think it's unhealthy to always post your winnings on social media and forums because this habit will lead you to chase your losses and bet more so you can post your winning, I find this habit forming and this is bad especially if people are following you and always looking forward to your winning posts.
Sometimes it's normal to be proud of your winnings because it can give you joy and satisfaction. However, if you're doing this to brag and to show to others that you're good at playing then I think it's not right. Because if you have this habit of posting your winnings, you might be pressure to gamble often to win and it's not really healthy since gambling is risky and there's always a high chance to lose your money.

Hence much better to refrain from posting and dont make it a habit because it can affect the way you gamble.
1622  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Early Is It Now, For Those Who Missed Bitcoin In Its Early Days? on: October 25, 2022, 06:26:58 AM
One question that people forget to ask is how many of those who bought in early days have actually held on to their coins. We see this all the time, people buy bitcoin at a price like $5000 and when it drops to $3200 they panic and sell their coins. Then after a couple of months when price is at $70,000 they complain about missing out.
Things weren't that much different in early days either. There were a lot of people who bought at $1 but panic sold it at $0.8.

The problem is always the same too. They want to become rich overnight.
I agree. Some early investors probably managed to hold their Bitcoin for long and became millionaire for having patience but not all of early investors had the same fate. Because often weak investors do panic when the price is decreasing, hence to avoid further losses, selling at loss is their solution to save their money. So even investors who had the chance to buy at cheap price before to become millionaire when the price of Bitcoin reach its ATH, are also probably failed, it's either because of panic selling or they sell after seeing the price increase a bit not knowing it can increase further.

Thus, for op's brother, it's not a reason that the price now is quite expensive than before and it can't make you millionaire since your budget is not huge. Remember that Bitcoin is a reliable crypto and much ahead than alts, therefore less risky even it takes a long period before you can see the result because it's worth it. You can look for altcons that can make you become millionaire in a short period but that hidden gem is really hard to find and requires analysis and extensive research.
1623  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: October 25, 2022, 03:16:31 AM
I'm always impressed with Roobet's art contests
there's true talent here on the forum, for sure

lots of good submissions on each round

I agree. I cannot wait to see the art in this contest! There is certainly a lot of talent on the forum, and it will be fun to see what everyone comes up with.

To all artists out there, it's crunch time, people! The contest ends in about a week, so get your asses in gear if you haven't already.
I am busy this time but will try my best to take some time for making one art piece along with all other enteries in the contest. But speaking truly there are many creative ideas and artist in the contest seeing their art I am surprised and happy at the same time. Also waiting myself to see what other come up with this time in halloween mode.
Every contest there are new winners, it's getting more excited because many already show their talent.
I was not able to join in some contest due to busy schedules as well, but hopefully I can still make it this time. Those who have a good talent in art, better to participate and just enjoy the whole contest. I agree that Roobet are very generous and active with their promotions, this is a good site.

They make sure to get the best result on their promotions done and we see how eager they are to make this more entertaining to their community so the good result has been earned. Will not be surprised for roobet to earn more success because they are really good in marketing and they are willing to spend a lot of money for that just to get the attention of many gamblers around.
Indeed. They're doing this kind of promotion for years already and the prizes are quite good. It's an opportunity for our artists here to participate and show what they got. Another thing is you can participate using the artwork created by family or friends as long as it's original and not plagiarized, this way you can still have an entry even if you're not an artist. I'm a bit busy too so I can't participate this time. Excited to see the artworks for this halloween contest, only few days left.
1624  Other / Archival / Re: What casinos are safe on: October 25, 2022, 01:36:04 AM
Hey here. I want to try myself in casino playing, but I am really afraid of being scammed. Few years ago I lost a huge amount of money that I saved for a long time..
To avoid playing on scam casinos you must do a research to know if the particular casinos where you'll play is trusted and no existing issues. There are many trusted casinos that are also well known here. I'd also like to add the casinos where I often play and I can say as trusted based on my experience.
These are:
Rollbit
Livecasino
Roobet
Duelbits
Bitcasino
Freebitco.in

1626  Economy / Economics / Re: Savings during inflation on: October 24, 2022, 06:31:16 AM

Lastly, investing is highly preferable to savings.

Investing is not a safe thing because I think the situation is still changing always. If you want to invest money, you must be brave and careful. You will get risks but the invisible risk is always higher than we think. The best way to avoid risks is not to take the risk. So it's a good idea not to decide on your own to do something like making a risky investment.
Well, every investment has risk regardless what investment it is or even you think the profit is guaranteed because there's no such thing. If you invest, be prepared because you can't expect the outcome will be positive always and this is the reason why you should only invest the money that you can afford to lose.

That's why even investing is a good to maximize your income it's still best to know the kind of investment that you'll be entering in and dont set your hopes high. Be wise and diversify if you can while saving some money for your future.
1627  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Isa kaba sa my mga bitcoin or any crypto noon? on: October 24, 2022, 05:23:24 AM

1628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much was your last big win? on: October 24, 2022, 03:33:21 AM
I'm not a big time gambler and not frequently playing. Is there a minimum amount for this last big win? Because my last big win is not much, it's only $40 when I play rise of olympus slot game and it's been months ago since i'm refraining myself on playing slots.

I prefer to play baccarat live games now because that's where I often find myself lucky but my bet is not high, just an average to kill time when i'm off from work.
1629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigerian Man Won $51,000 in Sports Betting With a Bet of Just $1.072 on: October 24, 2022, 01:02:30 AM
I think people should learn to keep their success stories away from physical people, because as they joy and praise you physically, secretly, they might not be as much happy as they appear physically.
I agree. Not all people around you are happy, some of them might envy you for being lucky to win such amount. That's why it would be better to keep it to yourself or within the family members to avoid having problems.

Sometimes when people get the money they are not prepared for, they tend to misuse them.
It depends if you are too overwhelm and can't think of the best thing to do. But yes, sometimes it's easy to spend the money came from winnings since you didn't work hard for it, compared to the money that earned from hard work. You'll value it more since you know how hard it is to get that money.
1630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win big in casino, would it be publicized? on: October 23, 2022, 08:20:01 AM
Gambling sites don't need to do that, without publishing news of the winnings that their visitors just got, gambling sites are still crowded. Publishing winnings should not be done by gambling sites, visitors may think that the published winning news is a lie or is anonymous. Let those involved there know about these big wins, gambling sites should not go any further which can reduce visitor confidence.

Gambling sites do it, they publish the winnings of their clients. There is no how people will think it's a lie, because sometimes they include usernames if you don't set your privacy to hidden.  The winnings are also verifiable in their website. A gambling company will gain nothing by posting fake winnings in their handles
Indeed. There are casinos posting their gambler's username (particularly on Twitter) who won a huge amount. It's also a way to advertise their platform as well as the game to attract gamblers to try their luck too. Posting a username would be fine as we dont know the person behind, and it's a real proof that there's a player who made such win by playing on that platform. But in lottery, I dont think it's safe to disclose the winner as it's often huge amount.

Here, when they made an announcement that the jackpot is already won by a certain user, often, only the ticket is shown to the public. This is to ensure the safety of the winner and to prevent the people from going to the winner's house (specially the friends and relatives) to ask for a share.
1631  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: October 23, 2022, 06:08:38 AM
The impact of scamming has increased a lot these days. They create copy by following different sites and bring that phishing site to customers in different ways. Scammers gain access to steal the user's assets when he or she logs into the site, often without realizing it. In this case there is no other way out of this situation except awareness of the users.
But the problem is they can't gain access without our negligence as we click on some fake links or giving them access our account but at this we are talking about some hackers who try to take advantage of these situations and make you prey through these false accounts pretending to be original from which you need to be safe and there's only one account of Rollbit and I have not heard any scamming case on their site.
Yes there's a negligence in your part if you fell victim of these phishing sites. It's quite common and a way of scammers to get potential victim, hence we should be aware of these tactics to prevent ourselves becoming a victim. Always verify if the site or the account that you're dealing with is the legitimate one and not fake.
1632  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best thing to do if this happens on: October 23, 2022, 05:04:10 AM
Assuming you gamble on a mid to high-rated gambling website and you won big but they refuse to pay up, what and what are the legal way to make sure that the platform pays up your money?
Well, if you're playing in a high rated casinos with good reputation, often they're fast to resolve such problem because they dont want this single issue to ruin their reputation. But that is, if your winnings are legit and you dont break any rules stated on their T&C. What you can do is to contact their support, it's the fastest way to raise your concern. If nothing happens you can post here in scam accusations with all your proofs (it would be good if they have an active announcement thread here) to spread awareness also to other users. If the casino has a licensed, you can contact their regulators for help and to investigate.
1633  Economy / Gambling / Re: Unpopular opinion about crypto gambling on: October 23, 2022, 03:56:17 AM
It also became stupid because the documents gathered using this Know Your Customer process can be used on identity theft and other illegal related schemes.
This is one of the reason why many gamblers are hesitant to comply on kyc verification or staying away to casinos who have such requirement. There's a possibility for our informations to be used in illegal activities if there's a data breach.

Anyhow, there are still casinos who don't require their players to undergo this verification unless the account is suspicious or exceeds the limit for withdrawal (often this is the case for sudden implementation), so we must be prepared for this if you still want to play in a crypto casino.
1634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much is your reputation worth? $500 or $50,000. on: October 23, 2022, 01:44:24 AM
If I know that i'm not doing anything wrong and the accusation is not true then I will not pay $500 to end this mess, because in return, my reputation as a gambler will be ruined. It doesn't feel good to admit something that you know you didn't commit.

On the other side paying $50k for the process to clear my reputation is really stressful given the situation of what you have to go through. But if this is the way to prove that you're innocent then it will be worth it. However, we know the cost is not cheap to begin with, and probably not all gamblers can afford it.
1635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Gambling Stories on: October 23, 2022, 12:52:50 AM
First, in your opinion, what would be a reasonable amount to give his girlfriend?
IMO, it's just right for the girlfriend to demand 40 million to his boyfriend. The money that used is originally from her and in fact was stolen. He can charge his boyfriend for stealing her money but since the bet won (fortunately), the boyfriend must share the money because it didn't came from his own pocket.

Second, assuming you were the apprentice in the story, would you abandon your training or would you have given in to the pressure to split the money with your boss?
Clearly the boss is wrong here. He take advantage the apprentice for his own good. If i'm the apprentice I will not share the money because it's really unfair. Let's say the worse case happened and the apprentice didn't win, do you think the boss will share a money for his loss? Certainly no right?
1636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another opportunity is coming, a time to hold on: October 21, 2022, 10:05:53 AM
Well, it's a good news if it really happened in 2024. But the thing is, we are not certain if these 30% of canadians were not going to change their minds. Is the article reliable? Because anyone can spread news like this without concrete basis and just an assumption.

Anyhow it's good for Bitcoin as well as for the investors incase it really happened in the future. But we should not rely too much on this and treat it as another good prediction that might come true if it's really accurate.
1637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: And officially worst year for investors on: October 21, 2022, 04:35:37 AM
2022 is going to be the worst year for crypto investors. Any thoughts guys?
You probably missed the previous years of crypto to say this is the worst. Try to track the past history and you'll know that this year is not the worst as the price is still not too cheap. It seems you're getting impatient and already tired of waiting. If you believe crypto can give you huge gain in the future then you have to be more patient and don't think negatively. Look for the good side of this season and fill your bags.
1638  Economy / Speculation / Re: What’s going to make Bitcoin turn from a downward to an upward trend? on: October 21, 2022, 03:35:15 AM
Hype and demand can make the price increase. But some people are just waiting for the price to increase again, that's what they think the time for them to engage themselves because they don't want to be left out hence they want to join the ride. But at this point the price doesn't have a huge changes and just moving sideways for months now. It's not bad actually because it's a time for us to accumulate while we still can.

It really takes patience for investors to gain because the price of Bitcoin is unpredicted. Thus, instead of wondering for the reasons that can influence the price to increase, much better to focus on what you can do at this time for your own benefit so if the price turn upward again you won't have regret that you didn't do something.
1639  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leaving your coins on exchanges on: October 20, 2022, 06:10:09 AM
After you finish trading in a day, because of the stable coin low fee, did you move your coin to a noncustodial wallet and move it back to an exchange if you want to trade next time? Or you just leave it alone on the exchange you are using?
I know that it's not safe to keep your coins on exchanges. However as a small time trader who's aware of the risk for doing so I still opted to keep the coins on the exchange where I trade. Before, i'm an active day trader on kuCoin, and my concern is the fees if I will transfer it to a non-custodial wallet then send it back. Hence I chose to keep it there despite of the possible worse case that can happen since the capital that I use is the money that I can afford to lose. For big time traders they have their own strategy on what to do and you really need to be certain that your coins are safe and the first step is to look for a reputable exchange.
1640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Prophecy on: October 20, 2022, 03:49:40 AM
I know lots of people are so religious they believe what their pastor tells them. I'm not saying prophecy doesn't work for those that believe in it, but all I'm saying is to everyone reading this, Bitcoin price movement doesn't work by prophecy or prayer.
It's true that the price of Bitcoin does not work by prophecy or prayer, but you can pray to be successful in what you're up to. This will come to reality if you also work hard and not just waiting, like if you want to achieve something, it will only happen if you take an effort and work hard to make it possible. Instead of prophecy, the belief of these people who are investing in Bitcoin is the reason why they're holding. We have different reasoning on why we chose to believe but regardless of what you do, dont rely too much on prayer, prophecy or anything that has no concrete basis to be accurate.
