doesn't allow links from improper sources as it turns out to be phishing links, but that's the reasons why you need to careful where you get informations from at first)
I think there is a bigger issue at hand if somebody posts phishing links randomly without knowing anything other than being banned on the forum. If that happens, pretty sure their device is probably hacked and their password/account/etc is not secured. That aside, obviously your posts will get removed/you will get banned if you share virus/malware/phishing links on the internet. That is not new, and OP or anyone should familiarize themselves with posting rules (especially since most of them are pinned) before making new posts.

I always tell beginners to read and scroll around the forum before doing anything else. There is no need to rush making posts here and there. Even if you want to rank up quickly, you're still gated by activity and merit. You need to make meaningful posts in the first place, and I doubt you can do that without being aware of the forum rules.
1642  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Thought one of my online wallets was hacked and robbed on: February 27, 2023, 02:12:02 PM
Funny how they went straight to the one and only well paying Blockchain wallet without even touching the other three which I never gave a shit about and had little security.
I think it is fair to assume that all of your wallets are compromised if at some point you accessed them from the same device. Better move all of your funds to a new wallet asap, better to be safe than sorry. Make sure you use a secure device or at least reinstall your system. We probably won't be able to find out how exactly they got your wallet, just make sure you don't rely on centralized service in the future and improve your security practices even if you feel you're doing it pretty well already.
1643  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency are spreading out now in our country nationwide on: February 27, 2023, 02:00:36 PM
   -   Yes it is from the Philippines mate, I was just happy because the mortgages and remittances in cryptocurrency and bitcoin were accepted.
Do you mean you can pay your mortgage in bitcoin or is it converted into local currency previously?
Good question. As far as I can tell, there is no explicit mention that their partners will accept crypto. Not to mention it is basically an OTC/exchange service. Their partnership nature is not clear either. Do you find other news/mentions from those websites regarding this issue? I can't find one on Monebeeys website. On their terms[1] page, If I understood it correctly, partners just refer to those who have business partnerships and most of them are related to offering a spot for OTC transactions[1].

1644  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need to better understand what market cap means on: February 27, 2023, 01:34:24 PM
Let's say that, the token has now a price of 0.002$
can we infer from this that , as the price of the token has been divided by 20, it means that the amount of money in the project
has been more or less divided by 20, and that there is currently only 240000/20 = 12000$ left in the project ?
I'm not really sure I get what you're trying to say, but I think you're mistaken in calculating the money the team gets when they do a public sale vs the value of the project itself. Most public sales participants or just buyers in general would use other currencies to buy the tokens. For simplicity's sake, let's say they use ETH. It means that at the time the sale ends, the team gets $240k in ETH. They can decide to sell some of them or keep them depending on their needs, it has no connection to the token market cap at all.

In an unlikely scenario, they might convert some of them to their own tokens, but that is almost impossible unless the team is so dumb. Almost every project will allocate some tokens to the team, so there is no incentive for them to convert those ETH to their own token. In short, the team/project is likely going to be fine in the short-medium term even if the token price plummets that hard. The buyers are the ones who got screwed.
1645  Other / Meta / Re: Whats Goingon On Bitcointalk forum? on: February 27, 2023, 12:14:24 PM
How did you post your review? If you have sufficient proof make a new thread on scam accusations[1]. Follow the proper rule to post the thread and explain your story there. Sometimes a seller will use a self-moderated thread to remove malicious posts so the fault does not lie on the moderator. Make sure to keep it in mind just in case you want to buy from somebody else in the future.

From my experience in this forum, no staff would encourage scammers. In fact, almost all members would actively try to hinder their activities with trust feedback, flags, etc.

1646  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: how much the budget on: February 26, 2023, 02:54:14 PM
i will add more service to my business.
That's fair, but I believe starting so many different businesses at the same time is not gonna make it. Not to mention what you're looking for might cost a lot, which might not be worth the cost compared to expanding your existing business and making it more profitable. That being said, I'm not an expert on business management either so you do you.

I think there is no other option other than following what has been suggested above. Ask for the price on the freelance marketplace or Services board if you don't know the market price. Don't just believe one source, wait for others to bid. Also, I suggest you keep it open to the public unless someone with a trade history sent you a PM. A lot of scammers are sending phishing links or even fake prices (which are usually very cheap but they don't accept escrow as a guarantee) nowadays. At the very least others can verify if someone is asking for ridiculously expensive prices or suspiciously cheap prices.
1647  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] | Best Bitcoin Mixer | Low fees | Fully automated on: February 26, 2023, 01:43:37 PM
Just asking question out of the blues, why we need privacy based browsers when we use mixing services or it is just an optional way to add more privacy to our transactions?
In general, IMO it is a good thing to add a layer of privacy regardless if you're trying to mix or not. If your ISP provider tracks you and logs the websites you visited, it can be a nightmare if those data got leaked and abused by other parties, or even your ISP in general. Such as blocking your access to some websites, an increase in scam e-mails, profiling, etc. On the other side, you can also argue that hiding your real IP address, in general, allows you to keep being trustless in the sense that you don't need to rely on the hope that Yomix or other mixers don't abuse your IP data or something similar. It is a win-win solution.

If using TOR really makes any difference then definitely we should have it either published on the YoMix site as well as have the corner of Signature code updated displaying TOR or relevant browser name for additional security or whatever purpose it may solve.
Nice suggestion. That being said, most users who use service like a mixer is usually well aware of how important privacy for their activity is. So using ToR is usually a requirement for them.
1648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RTX 4090 and others on: February 26, 2023, 01:25:39 PM
I think that this is a useless thing that is impossible to mine coins and play, due to poor cooling and the impossibility of self-repair. For 600 dollars I will assemble an excellent computer from components. My computer will be bigger, but I have no problems with the installation space.
According to some discussions I found on Reddit and other social media, most miners agree that Mac is not the best hardware if you are looking for profit. Most of them consider mining on Mac just for fun and supporting the network, since their latest processor, while powerful for many tasks is not good enough for mining. I personally own a Macbook Air. It is a good device for office work, light gaming, content creation, etc, but I'd never consider mining on it. I don't think it changes with Mac Mini since most of the time they perform at the same range. The key differences are extra cooling and no battery.

An image of the GeForce RTX 4090 with turbine cooling appeared on the network
https://en.gamegpu.com/game/v-seti-poyavilos-izobrazhenie-geforce-rtx-4090-s-turbinnym-okhlazhdeniem
Is this type of cooling still popular? I thought most companies and buyers prefer open-air fans or liquid cooling systems nowadays. AFAIK, blower-type cooling can be very loud, hence why it is not the most popular choice. I'm not sure about the performance but from skim-reading several articles there doesn't seem to be a big difference unless we compare it to liquid cooling. I guess the price is the key factor when a miner wants to buy GPUs since most of the time they are not that bothered by loud noise. CMIIW.
1649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to write a javascript based monero mining algorithm? on: February 26, 2023, 01:02:51 PM
So, you're trying to host a javascript-mining website that uses your visitors' resources to mine and send the profits to your address? Or are you trying to run your own cloud mining service? Both of them are terrible services and most of the time is known for scams. I'll try to be positive here and not jump to conclusion that you want to build a malware site that tricks visitors to mine with their computers.

If you do find a free mining script, I won't be surprised if it runs other malicious scripts without notifying you. Your best bet is probably to commission some developer to build the script for you. If you want to mine and earn Monero without doing any of that, just mine with a rig and mining software.

My other question: How can I write my own javascript based monero mining algorithm from scratch? Any lesson, training set, book, etc. about what I want. I couldn't find it. If there is a training set that explains in this way, can you write it?
Well, you will need to know some Javascript at least. There is no dedicated book/article that explains it since mining script is a niche program compared to other Javascript applications. If you don't want to learn from the big picture, your best option would be to find an existing Javascript mining algorithm software and then learn from there. Find out what this or that function does, ask around if you don't understand the flow of the algorithm, etc.
1650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto/Defi Tax Provider on: February 26, 2023, 12:31:28 PM
What do you mean by "DeFi"? Are you talking about participating in liquidity pools, staking, farming, etc on an altcoin chain? If that's the case, I've never seen one other than those mentioned above (note that I never actively try to look for one either). Most of the time these service providers talk about trades done on exchanges, at least those that I'm aware of. They use DeFi regularly, but it also strictly limits trading on decentralized exchanges.

Have you Googled it on your own? It seems like there are a decent of options right now (Taxbit, Bear, Zenledger, etc). I don't know how reliable they are since I never use one.

Also you could use Binance Ive just remembered that they just recently announced their Binance Tax feature, just check their blog post about the details.
CMIIW, this newly announced service is limited to France for now. That being said, the Binance tax tool already exists but it only helps with exporting trades history afaik. It still doesn't sound like what OP is looking for though.

1651  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Adakah Mixer Untuk Altcoin? on: February 25, 2023, 04:31:05 PM

1652  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Hardware Wallet on: February 25, 2023, 04:23:12 PM

tapi balik lagi, milih hw wallet bukan dr sisi design, tp keamanannya  Grin

1653  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Bulan Literasi Kripto (BLK) on: February 25, 2023, 03:46:13 PM

1654  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [INFO] Informasi Phishing, Malware, Virus Dst (WAJIB BACA) on: February 25, 2023, 03:10:28 PM

1655  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [Info] Sosial Media dan Review Campaign Pembayaran Bitcoin [Terupdate] on: February 25, 2023, 02:44:19 PM

1656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Index token for a investment fund on: February 24, 2023, 01:26:32 PM
but now we would like to switch it and possibily one day make that token tradable.
Why do you need to do that though? Is your company suffering from a lack of funds or something? From what I saw, most index tokens end up becoming worthless, so I doubt any big investors would buy your tokens. Even if you target the retail market, the question of why they would buy your token still remains. Not to mention, your index can be worthless if it just tracks your portfolio performance and you are the one who issues and burn the token, making it unreliable since you can just flood the market anytime you wanted to. Not to mention there are tons of similar tokens on the market with arguably bigger and more famous companies backing them.

I suggest looking for an alternative if the operational fund is your issue. Most small/medium projects that launch this token usually don't have any good reputation after they launch an index token since they end up worthless and illiquid. Offering a new tier of service or branching out to another investment service is probably a better idea, even if the execution is harder.
1657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: About 26000 USDT is stuck at CEX.io for more than 2 month!! on: February 24, 2023, 12:54:57 PM
If you don't mind could either of you also inform us when the issue gets resolved because i am assuming it didn't get resolved. I don't have currently any money in CEX.io but i have an account in there and depending on the time this gets resolved affects if i want to use their service in the future.
Both of them (CEX representative and OP) has been offline for a few days now, I think you will need to wait for a while until this gets resolved (if it ever will). Why don't you move to other services in the first place? I don't think there is a need to stick with CEX.IO since you have no money there.

If you want to trade your BTC for altcoin there are tons of options out there. If I remember correctly some members mention Kucoin if no KYC is what you're looking for. It still works but don't expect it to last forever. If fiat is what you're looking for you can also use dex. Just a little bit complicated but should give you better control over your money.
1658  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What's highest amount instant exchanges can be trusted with? on: February 22, 2023, 02:31:52 PM
I used different instant exchanges in the past but never go past $100 per transaction. Personally, I also don't trust any of them even if they claim no KYC for any trades, no auto-lock, etc. Whenever I trade using this kind of service, I always assume my money is gone if they don't send the promised coins/tokens I trade within 1 hour. You should not follow this. I think what I did was a bad practice if security and reliability are major concerns. I stop using them after most services that I use support BTC.

Would you agree that it's better to do several small transactions rather than one big one? Giving up bit of convenience for safety of your assets?
It is really hard to tell. Who knows, maybe they implement a volume policy without giving you any notice, so that if you hit that $1k mark, or whatever number that they set, you'll need to undergo KYC, or your address get flagged for malicious purposes. It means even if you only send them $10 per trading activity, you can still get flagged. I'd suggest following other methods suggested above, especially if the instant exchange service that you use is new or has a terrible track record.
1659  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: thoughts on babylon? on: February 22, 2023, 02:18:23 PM
I thinkthis has not been noisy in the cryptocurrency business industry, because when I looked at their YouTube video or blog, there were only a few viewers who looked and watched.
Are Youtube and blogs good metrics to measure if a project is popular or not? As far as I can tell, they are not really that popular for marketing purposes. Most new projects seem to use Twitter to do their marketing. That being said, there are some popular Youtubers who make crypto content, but most of their viewers don't really want to find new projects to invest in, they want content related to news, drama, or investigations.

It means that this was not liked by the majority of the community here in this forum and even on various social media platforms it was not noisy, in short it's not attractive for the investors anyway.
Personally, I do agree that this project is not that interesting. At the very least, it is not useful for my interest in the crypto market. But the reason why they are not popular can be many things, including the lack of marketing. In fact, I never heard about them even though I use Twitter regularly. They have decent followers but it seems most of their tweets are never shared by others, so that's that. I don't think they are looking for investors anyway, just that there are no live products that use them right now. CMIIW.
1660  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: how much the budget on: February 22, 2023, 01:23:02 PM
Out of curiosity, why don't you build a marketplace that sells your current business products? I saw your post history and it seems like you already have a fashion business running. Launching a new business is not a bad move but the field you're trying to enter here is way too different, you'll probably end up hiring a lot of developers or buying many plugins that might not give you any ROI in the future because the competition is so brutal right now.

If I were you, I'd try to expand my current business by investing in it. For example, building a marketplace as mentioned previously, spending some money for advertising in the forum or outside of it, opening a merchant account on other platforms that accept crypto, etc. But if you still want to do what you mentioned above, at the very least you should be prepared to spend hundred of dollars to buy plugins, hire developers, etc if you want to go with the budget option. Even a translation can cost you more than $400 per language if you want your website to support multiple languages (based on my experience). CMIIW.
