1221  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Miners Should Consider the Lower Transaction Fees on: May 12, 2023, 01:02:25 PM
I do wonder though, do we need more scaling discussions again soon? LN in its current state is not helping as intended - and larger money sum transactions will continue to be only available on-chain. I feel there are some similarities with the 2017 situation.
I get a feeling that if centralized services like exchanges allow LN deposits or withdrawals we'll see more people use that. I believe the average joe doesn't have enough incentive to use LN as of now since they rely on centralized services most of the time. I pay for some services with BTC (like VPN for example) monthly and most of them also don't use LN to accept payments, so that's that. Maybe I can try to look for one but there will be other issues like trust, unreliable downtime, etc. CMIIW.
1222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: gift card Website for trading with crypto on: May 12, 2023, 12:04:28 AM
I'm not familiar with the first one but buysellvoucers do have an account in this forum IIRC. If I'm not wrong, it is this one[1]. They also have an ann thread over there but there are not many reviews[2]. I guess most people are just buying instead of selling gift cards so you don't see many reviews. I think I guess you can take a look there and ask if you do have some questions. Btw, you already made a similar thread asking about this. I think you can just bump that thread in the future instead of making a new one.

1223  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: VPN Service Provider. BTC / USDT Accepted on: May 11, 2023, 01:50:58 PM
The theme you used looks like one of those ICO project scam websites. I also suggest you take a look and consider changing it, unless you really have a tight budget (which doesn't really convince me to use your service). Your price is cheap but other competitors exist at that same price point like Windscribe. I don't really see the point of trying your service unless you provide better features.
1224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much does Bitcoin affect other cryptocurrency? on: May 11, 2023, 01:05:09 PM
My real question maybe is. If cryptocurrency´s follow each other. whats the difference if you invest in BTC or ETH or USDT for example. If you invest in all three $1000 each.
How will it look at each invest after example 12 months? I understand its impossible to predict something like this, but some guideline.
If they follow each other very often with +/- then the profit/loss should not be a huge difference?
I don't think you want to 'invest' in USDT, maybe you mean other altcoins that have more volatility like the ETH you mentioned. If you take a look at how the market behaved in the past, I believe you can learn a thing or two about the altcoin movement when Bitcoin is pumping and then went sideways.

As others have mentioned, if you choose a more volatile alts with low supply, for example, you'll get a higher return compared to if you buy BTC. For example, some meme coins only have 1000 supply and it is priced at $1 each, so going from $1 to $10 is giving you a better return compared to BTC going from $40k to $60k if you buy it at $30k. But the risk is probably not worth it most of the time. I'd rather keep buying BTC and just use a disposable income if I want to speculate on some alts. CMIIW.
1225  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Miners Should Consider the Lower Transaction Fees on: May 11, 2023, 03:03:59 AM
Let the lower transaction should be charged less and the very big whale transactions should be done according to the unit. Don't equalize everyone as one and charge them equal.
Is that even possible though? You can probably suggest or make some commits if you have some idea on how to do that. At the end of the day miners are driven by profit most of the time, that's just how the market works. If anything I believe the recent spike is just because people find a new toy and would probably stop dumping a lot of money just to print token when they realize the demand is not that high. The market will balance itself, even at the time of writing the fee is coming down gradually.
1226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction concluded but did not reach the recipient (bitcoin Wallet) on: May 11, 2023, 02:42:22 AM
Are you referring to this website[1]? If that website is not a scam then they'll send your BTC back. I doubt a casino needs strict deposit time windows since they don't function like a marketplace unless they automatically convert your coins to fiat. I guess this fit more into the service discussion since there is nothing wrong with your transaction.

1227  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Chipmixer, blender.io fake mixer is still active on the internet. Avoid google🔎 on: May 11, 2023, 01:12:24 AM
And same case here, it is on the Big G search engine. We all know that Google doesn't care about this, but it won't take time on our side to report this kind of scam sites that we can find.
They do remove some malware sites once in a while, but the fact that people managed to publish ads is definitely a problem. Even their app store is plagued with malware. Fortunately, we can just use adblocker to solve most of these issues. You should use ToR anyway if you plan to use a mixer imo.
1228  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bhutan Kingdom is looking for Mining partners to expand their project on: May 10, 2023, 12:52:52 PM
Bitcoin miners would find it a good partnership considering the nature of the country; monasteries, mountains, fortress, and its green energy.
I'm not sure how this would affect miners in general though. Aren't this mining operation owned by the state/government-related company and not individual miners? They are looking at investors, and not miners to join them if I'm reading it correctly. I don't think anything changes that much if you own a private mining business. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if the government welcomes miners from other countries with open arms if anyone wanted to move there as long as it is profitable.
1229  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: always updated bitcoin fees image from mempool.space on: May 10, 2023, 12:40:58 PM
Nice tool. Btw is it possible to make the image customizable? For example, I want to add/convert the fees into USD or other fiat currency.

I also think it would be a good idea to add a simple explanation for each term to avoid confusion on the documentation link you shared above. At the time of writing, I only see the command example but no explanation for the term used.
1230  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Off-chain mixers on: May 10, 2023, 12:57:00 AM
why service like ChipMix was so popular since the chip appeared to be just a private keys.
While it shares some similarities to trading private keys, I don't think you can really be confident with random users on some marketplace giving you private keys for money. As others have mentioned, you do need some trust to use a service like that, but they were able to build that through one thing or another in this forum, which is impossible to happen for private trading private keys IMO. Not to mention other safer alternatives exist if you want to do P2P.
1231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Application to hide where bitcoins come from on: May 10, 2023, 12:34:42 AM
Not sure how you get the idea that a mixer (what you're trying to build) is hated in this community. If you take a look around you'll see many users wearing mixer signature campaigns. Also, not everyone uses mixers because their money is tainted, some of them just like privacy. If you do want to build a mixer and want some input, I believe you need to at least propose your own approach first. IIRC, Chipmixer and the latest Whirlwind did this. Nobody would willingly give you suggestions to improve your platform if you don't even know how you're gonna approach it.
1232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Ordinals make having a copy of the Bitcoin blockchain justifiably illegal? on: May 10, 2023, 12:08:28 AM
My fundamental question was can the illegal material be removed so that blockchain isn't corrupted without having to do a hard fork or something like that, and the answer is yes. There's an article I found that addresses this issue pretty well: https://www.wired.com/story/why-porn-on-the-blockchain-wont-doom-bitcoin/
I'm not sure the article you linked suggests that we can remove material from the blockchain. As far as I understand it, the author basically says that the law would not be that rigid when it comes to blockchain. People running a node share similarities with those who run a ToR exit node or something else, and nobody is going to jail just because of that. I think he brings up a good point regardless. I do believe intent does matter and the government is not stupid enough to jail people just because they run a node.
1233  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: List of VPN Service Providers - 2023 on: May 09, 2023, 01:50:05 AM
Some may want VPN for streaming, some may want it for gambling, that's why I included them, ExpressVPN, Cyberghost and some others are very popular for that purpose.
I'd rather discourage them, especially after you've mentioned many times that those VPN companies with trials available are being owned by such a shady company. I think that reason alone is enough to stay away from them regardless of your activity on the network when you're connected to their service. I'd rather be paranoid if the company I'm dealing with is proven to never cares about my privacy. Not to mention most paid VPNs offer a money-back guarantee for at least a month.
1234  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Off-chain mixers on: May 09, 2023, 01:17:10 AM
I don't recall any mixer offering something like that. You will have to make some transactions at one point or another. As for exchange services, there are many P2P options such as offline trading. If that is not possible for you then I doubt there is any other choice. Don't even try to buy private keys, they are a scam. Alternatively, you can go the roundabout way of buying physical Bitcoin or collectibles and then sell them later, or use them. CMIIW.

Are you asking this for your Bitcoin transaction routing project?
1235  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [Tutorial] Memasang Ekstensi Dompet UniSat Dan Mencetak Token BRC20 on: May 09, 2023, 12:50:23 AM
1236  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Info Fee Mempool Terupdate & Penjelasannya on: May 09, 2023, 12:38:50 AM

1238  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [INFO] Informasi Phishing, Malware, Virus Dst (WAJIB BACA) on: May 08, 2023, 11:56:05 PM

1239  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Dust Attack Pada Jaringan Bitcoin & Altcoin on: May 08, 2023, 11:33:20 PM
CMIIW.
1240  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Tornado cash still up and usable? on: May 07, 2023, 09:04:29 AM
I cannot be certain if their mixing process is reliable because I never used Tornado Cash and even if I used it, I would never tell anyone that I have used Tornado Cash or any mixer hehehehe.
Understandable. It would be interesting if somebody test the service and make a detailed report just like how there is a paper on Bitcoin mixer. But I guess there is just not enough demand for that since altcoin mixers barely exist nowadays. CMIIW.

In any case, many people used it before the sanction. One of them is Sifu who is a famous scammer. His tokens were never traced after it went through the mixer. Also, Tornado is still very much alive in Binance smartchain.
I see. I guess that's why they decide to go with IPFS to prevent domain takedown or something similar (CMIIW). At the end of the day, you can't really make a decent profit if your service is unused by people due to a lack of UI.
