1361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How honest and transparent are casinos? on: April 04, 2023, 01:38:33 PM
We live in a technological age, where all transactions can be verified (Casinos do this for every transaction, just look at your bet history) ...so it should not be impossible for them to implement something that displays the recipients of every drop that are done.  Roll Eyes

We should hold all casinos accountable for their actions, because we fund their businesses.
I can understand your point of view. I don't think it is hard for them to implement something like that either. The question is probably what data they need to share so that others can verify it, and if the users are comfortable with their data being shared or not. On another note, whether they want to spend some time and money doing something like that is another question. For example, they can say that they already prove their trustworthiness to some extent with their verifiable gambling history or something similar, so there is no need to do that. Especially if they already have a good reputation in the community.

I don't think they will ever bother to make something like this verifiable. Judging from how most users seem to not care and just focus on whether the platform will cheat over their gamble or not, that's where they will redirect you if you ask how can they trust them.
1362  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Did I can make platform without KYC verification on: April 04, 2023, 01:23:14 PM
My question is can we make platform that can we verify account by deposit only .
Account have two wallet one of crypto and other with real money he can swap and withdrawal money or crypto anytime
Deposit for verification? That sounds like what scammers like to do. What does it prove anyway? If you want to ensure that buyer and seller honor their trade, you need to set up something like a multisig. An initial deposit doesn't serve anything. That can work if you're building a forum and deterring spammers from registering on your website, but it has no value on a trading platform. Especially if you want to integrate fiat and crypto, you'll need more than just a multisig if you want to prevent others from scraping users' data from their marketplace information.

I also believe that even if all of the parties involved are anonymous, as long as your platform can ensure or prevent scams from happening, anyone would happily use it. Try to host your business in a country with friendly regulations for anonymous exchange if you want to do it. That being said, I doubt you can be free regardless of where you do your business if you integrate fiat into your platform.
1363  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [List] Dompet Bitcoin - Wallet Sofware on: April 04, 2023, 12:27:54 PM
yang saya pahami dari fitur custom backup tersebut, berarti data-data wallet disimpan di cloud mereka untuk keperluan restore. Saya pribadi agak "risih" sebenarnya jika ada backup itu ini terutama menyangkut data wallet disimpan di cloud meskipun disana tertera : "(protected by a custom-designed secure technology)";

Quote
Do I still need to write down my recovery key if I use Stack Wallet Backup?
Yes. Stack Wallet Backup is a convenience feature that makes it simple and easy to restore all of your wallets at once. But sometimes technology fails. In the very unlikely event that SWB does fail (due to file corruption, file misplacement, etc.) then having your seeds written down ensures you still have access to your funds. You'll just have to restore them all one at a time.
Sumber: https://stackwallet.com/index.html#features

Tapi kalau pengalaman om menggunakan fitur tersebut memang refer ke cloud backup ya pilihan terbaik adalah diignore saja dan menggunakan manual backup. CMIIW.

1364  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [Berita] Chipmixer disita !!! on: April 04, 2023, 11:56:07 AM

1365  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Hardware Wallet on: April 04, 2023, 11:48:48 AM
1366  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best Exchanges without KYC? on: April 03, 2023, 01:04:20 PM
Changelly: This is a cryptocurrency exchange that enables users to exchange one cryptocurrency for another without KYC verification. The trading fee is a 0.25% exchange fee plus the network fee.
ChangeNOW: This is a non-custodial exchange that enables users to exchange cryptocurrencies without KYC verification. The trading fee is 0.4%.
I don't recommend these two if OP or anyone is planning to trade for large amounts. You can search for their reviews on this forum, such as this one[1]. It is not limited to one or two users too, there are many reports regarding their selective KYC scam. Some even report that their money is still not returned after they do KYC, and so on. Try to research them on your own if you want to get the full picture before you decide to trade there.

1367  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Airbnb Crypto Project - Concept notice on: April 03, 2023, 12:49:49 PM
1. The Ctravel token is there to represent the company on the cryptocurrency market and also to reward the user when he rents an accommodation he receives a % in travel which is similar to cashback.
I more or less understand it. But is there a need for a token other than to get more funds for your initial funding? I mean, if we look at projects like Bitrefill, the existence of tokens is unnecessary. You can provide ETH or BTC or something similar if you want to provide a loyalty program. You can address the issue of funding with crowdfunding and something similar I guess. Even if you don't have a token, as long as your platform is good enough, I bet it will still be popular.
5. I really intend to solve a problem related to cryptocurrency, whether it is this one or another, it is not a problem.
Not to say that you'll scam people, but I doubt you can assure them your project will last with just a promise. I guess if you can provide an MVP or something similar, more people will take your project seriously. If not, and you start asking for funding without anything to prove your capability, I guess it won't go anywhere.
1368  Economy / Speculation / Re: I missed the bottom or i have time to invest on: April 03, 2023, 12:20:34 PM
I am thinking to invest in bitcoin for 6month or a year, is it good price to invest ? i will make profit from this point?
Nobody knows, the general rule is to invest the money you can afford to lose. If that is okay with you, the best time to invest is always "right now". Just take a look at the recent months, so many news and fundamental changes makes Bitcoin price so unpredictable if you only look at the chart.
or is it possible for price to go low then this?
Yes.
and i DCA or just invest all at once and why?
DCA is your choice if you don't want to risk it all, at the same time you can also lose some potential gains assuming this is the lowest price for the next few months. In short, both has risk and benefits, choose what you can stick with if things go wrong.
and what is your experience in past halving ?
is it beginning of bull market?
Bull markets don't happen a day after halving start, but most of the time they do happens shortly after that. By shortly, I mean months, not days or hours.

At the end of the day though, asking random strangers on the internet for trading advice is not always a good idea. Don't just simply believe what we've said.
1369  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Trust wallet update on: April 03, 2023, 11:47:31 AM
Does anyone know how to avoid dusting attacks with Trust wallet? Because I just withdrew some USDTs through the Tron network from a casino, and I immediately got 2 dust transactions in TRX at my address used for the withdrawal. I don't like very much this kind of things since the allegations of an Operation Choke 2.0 against the crypto ecosystem from the US/Biden administration.
I don't think those attacks are targeted at any specific wallet though, so you'll get more or less the same thing if you use another wallet. I believe this is not related/addressed by the latest update either so you should make a new topic IMO. What we can do is probably disable those tokens from Trust Wallet so that you don't send them by mistake. You also need to isolate them if they target your BTC address or the like of it, so you need a wallet with good coin control to do that.

As far as I'm aware, any address is targeted by these kinds of attacks. They probably monitor platforms like casinos that you used to see which address is active or not, so there is no way to protect yourself unless you stop interacting with any contracts. CMIIW.
1370  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for a software development partner on: April 03, 2023, 11:34:06 AM
I am not asking for any investment, so I see no urgent need to prove anything to anyone.
I can understand your point of view, but again I doubt anyone would accept your words at face value since you're new on this forum. Giving proof that you do have a business that is running and doing what you've described in your post is one of the ways you can increase your credibility. You can choose not to and wait until someone ask for private communication or something else, it is not mandatory. If you plan to hire and post on the Services board though, I doubt you'll get far without at least doing something similar as I mentioned above.

Anyway, best of luck to you OP.

1371  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Signals vs Own Analysis on: April 02, 2023, 02:35:03 PM
I think enough has been said about trading signal groups. Most of the time they're just a pump & dump group where the owner will buy some coins, put the call on the group and then dump on newbies like you. If you can't make an analysis on your own, using a bot to analyze the market is better compared to following trades. At the end of the day though, bot or something similar is just a tool. If you don't know what they're doing and what indicators they're using, you won't get anything.

Try to check out demo trading that is available on some platforms if you want to get familiar with some trading tools/indicators. You don't have to spend money when you trade there. After you're familiar with some of them, spend some time trading on an exchange or P2P market, if that is available to you. Trading needs discipline, you can't buy them with money, unfortunately.
1372  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance - a new problem on the horizon? on: April 02, 2023, 01:49:51 PM
I also have some money deposited here so my question is what will happen to everyone's money if the allegations against Binance are proven. Can those who have deposited money in this exchange withdraw their money?
If you're worried then I suggest you start withdrawing now. If you don't have other platforms to trade, maybe it is time to consider looking for an alternative. Whether or not they will users to withdraw after they got fined is a different question. My guess is they will allow users to withdraw, assuming they still plan to run their business normally in other regions and avoid backlash/negative image. Unless they do some dumb shits that prevent them from processing users' withdrawals, I don't think they will just close and run away.

However, now the world has changed dramatically.  Now regulators make many decisions based not on economic, but purely political considerations. Probably, the leadership of Binance is forced to cooperate with the special services of different countries, and this significantly increases the risk of criminal prosecution of the management of the cryptocurrency company and the presentation of property claims to it.
Hard to tell how much political interest contribute to the recent fines and prosecution, but I do agree that it should contribute to some extent, especially after the recent bank runs. There are so many spin articles trying to blame crypto for the bank collapses, so it is understandable that they enforce this further by suing other entities. At the end of the day, all of this doesn't matter if you never use a centralized platform in the first place, so I guess people should look into P2P alternatives from now on. CMIIW.
1373  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wallet that allows Multiple Mnemonics on: April 02, 2023, 01:05:57 PM
Because of that I always recommend people create wallets offline which high spec PC (same as mining) to create a more powerful private key of course.
I don't think there is a direct relation between a powerful PC and a 'powerful private key'. As long as they use enough entropy to generate the seed, it should be more than enough for your daily purpose. You can go all the way with generating all randomization sources manually though, like what has been discussed there[1]. Do correct me if I'm wrong though, but I'm pretty sure nobody has ever told me to buy a high-end PC to create my wallet.

1374  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How to close a crypto exchange easily on: April 02, 2023, 12:56:12 PM
I think that one of the most important problems is the lack of guarantee of clients' money or the lack of separation between their money and the developers so that the money is spent for their personal interests.
Since some of these charges also revolve around the exchange ICO, I guess any exchange who do something like that in the past is likely going to get fined too. I don't remember if there is a law regarding those things when they do an ICO, but it seems like SEC is going all the way to make sure they can milk exchanges dry. Kinda hard to guess what's their goal other than enforcing more control and making sure they can gatekeep any US crypto business in the future. CMIIW.
1375  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Airbnb Crypto Project - Concept notice on: April 02, 2023, 12:14:17 PM
Other than Airbnb, there is also ShareRing which is probably competing with your project directly, although they do branch out to other stuff right now. That being said:
1. Why the need for a token? What does it contribute to the platform other than giving extra initial funds for the development and probably won't see any usage sooner or later?
2. Why is there a stacking, lending, dao program if your goal is to solve crypto rental market? I doubt any traveler would look at a traveling app and say "damn, this lending proposal is good, I should buy it".
3. Don't you think creating a third-party lending platform that allows users to pay their Airbnb or something similar with crypto is more valuable compared to this new, ground-up renting platform? If no, why? Is there any law that prohibits you to do this? I assume it would work like how people can buy gift cards with Bitcoin, even though the platform where they use the cards doesn't support Bitcoin payment directly.
4. I don't believe that people will willingly support and stay on your platform if it is not competitive. This "us vs them" mentality is not going to work if your platform is terrible, has no control over the rental house, doesn't offer protection, etc. How will you compete with Airbnb in its customer service department other than being friendly toward crypto?
5. I've seen similar projects in the past, with more or less the same proposal. They do an ICO and then close their business without ever producing anything. What is the guarantee that you will at least deliver some beta apps if you plan to do the same?
1376  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Feasibility of limiting the computational power of each node on: April 01, 2023, 12:24:12 PM
So, for example, one computer can only output 1 GH/s mining hash rate, and if they want to increase it legally, they have to add more computers. Is this what you're trying to say?

If this is the case, I can see a lot of people using other clients or just straight up forking the network if they think it is worth the cost. Whether it is hackable or not is just speculative at this point since there is no code to scrutinize. Even if it is unhackable though, what I mentioned previously is still likely to happen. What is the purpose of this limitation btw? To prevent centralization or something else? I don't see how it works if the former is the purpose. CMIIW.
1377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN SUPPLY LIMIT on: April 01, 2023, 12:12:53 PM
In 2023 they are mining with higher input cost because they can get profit from mining. Same thing might happen in 2140 is my belief.
True. If some reports about mining companies are to be trusted, we can conclude that their recent mining profit is still negative, but they keep their business afloat by selling coins mined a few years/months before. I can't say for sure if this is a spin from the media or just business trying to deter competitors from competing on their business though.

At the end of the day, the market will find the equilibrium and some miners will definitely stop mining due to mining costs, the question is whether the security of the network is good enough to sustain the network when that does happen. Considering how the BTC hashrate keeps rising though, I doubt we'll see that happen in the near future. CMIIW.

1379  Other / Archival / Re: [BIG LIST] Hardware wallets (80+) on: March 31, 2023, 01:15:35 PM
Now I see they accept purchases even if it's one pcs. But the selling price is higher than at ledger.com.
I think that is understandable. Other electronics products are also more significantly expensive due to taxes, etc. I assume official resellers need that extra cut to make it profitable since they have to follow all the procedures to import and so on. I'm pretty sure this is more or less the norm for a country like Indonesia.

At the end of the day, P2P is probably browsiek only choice if he wants to buy with BTC.
1380  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: To what extent can Artificial intelligence (AI) Enhance BTC mining. ? on: March 31, 2023, 12:31:01 PM
it helps in monitoring mining equipments and analysing data, also helps in maintenance, tracking performance, identifying faults with the equipment and this in turn enhances good and accurate Mining of BTC.
In my opinion AI is an important component of mining which should not be over looked.
Isn't it doable already with the built-in RIG software or mining software? You don't need AI to tell you one of your fans is failing if the software already tells you that. Even if you want to automate this process, I think you can simply build a bot that notifies you if anything went wrong, without waiting for AI companies to feed their machine learning system tons of miners' stats over the past few years. At the end of the day, they will just look at the manufacturer guide and see if any faulty conditions exist on the owner rigs, no?
