1641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Classic for margin trading? on: March 14, 2020, 05:46:43 PM
So now I’m exploring margin trading for altcoins. What do you think of ETC margin trading? Where do you trade? Maybe also recommend some platforms and strategies?

Dont margin trade any crypto. Now this drop was easily predicted, since recession was inevitable, but in general Bitcoin market is highly manipulated by whales. Price will drop or increase with zero reasons and you will stay without anything.
1642  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why bitcoin should be bullish at this moment! on: March 14, 2020, 05:13:43 PM
Payment for goods and services through cash can transmit Corona virus, doing transactions through bank, especially cash deposits can also transmit the virus. The safest way that we can create values and pay for goods and services during this time still remain blockchain and those selling off at this moment are doing so because they did not spend time to study the Blockchain technology and how it works.

But you can get virus on goods also so is pointless to abandon cash. Bitcoin would make sense only when paying digital services.
1643  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin fall bellow 3000$ and Gold price will increase? on: March 13, 2020, 10:46:05 PM
Today we are seeing huge dump in cryptocurrency that we have never seen Btc down by 27% and because of it other major crypto currency falling. This might be affected by a coronavirus and get worse in a few days. what do you think Bitcoin next stage is it below 3000$ or it will recover from today's fall?

Also, do you think the Gold price will rise significantly now?

Price of Bitcoin can go under $3000 this year and price of Gold should not raise significantly just now. It probably will next year.
1644  Economy / Speculation / Re: Jimmy Song 100,000$ Prediction on: March 13, 2020, 07:42:32 PM
Jimmy Song didn't had a "100k prediction" he just said "when bitcoin reaches 100k, that doesn't have any time table on it, it could be in 5 years and he would still be right. Dude is simply saying that bitcoin "ONE DAY" will be 100k and you will regret for not getting it.

I personally regret that I sold my coins instead of keeping them, so my problem is different than not just buying but actually being smart enough to buy bitcoin thinking it will go up but then sell it when it "peaked" at 1000 dollars and sold it for some reason like the idiot I am. Bitcoin will go up, but I doubt it will ever go up like it used to, from 700 dollars to 20k in one year, we will never see anything go up that much ever again, that was probably the only time we could have been rich very easily in our life time.

If you sold your coins now you have perfect chance to buy some. It seems price of Bitcoin will not go that high this year, so you have plenty of chances for cheap Bitcoin left.  But basically if you are smart you should be just buying whenever you can. Spend $100 a month or whatever you can afford. After few years you will be set nice.
1645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are calling projects as scam when they are in a bear market? on: March 13, 2020, 07:06:42 PM
I kinda noticed that people will just easily call a project scam without even researching about the project, their judgement is solely based on the price and does not consider that most altcoins are affected by the bear market. If they can't change their mentality, this would affect the reputation of the project, this is like destroying a project's reputation in bad times, instead of helping them.

Word scam is used to much in crypto. Some projects specially ICOs were total scams. So those that started them just took money and go lying on the beach somewhere. Others were that those that started project have no knowledge how to make it. So is made bad and even if it would be perfectly made would bring no profit to those that bought ICO coins. Those coins are of course not even share of a project but just a useless coins/tokens.  This people are nor really scammers since they are doing what they wrote in their white paper. But on other hand they took investors money and will not give them anything useful in return.

For coins that should act as a currency all premine is a scam. Money made out of thin air. There are quite some such.

Price at all this is totally irrelevant.
1646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Game Over? on: March 13, 2020, 06:41:40 PM
Game Over?

It will be game over for many coins. Alt coins already had a 2 years bear market that ended in December 2019. Now when bull market should start we will be hit with recession and general uncertainty in economy. It will negative influence crypto for at least a year. Maybe several years. People will forget many coins even exist.  Coins with strong community and people in that community that are not here to make profit, but chance something will just simply continue to work  and develop their coin further.  In 2022 we will for sure have much more clear picture.  But for many coins will be game over until then.
1647  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin is made for times like these why is everyone selling at a time like.. on: March 13, 2020, 05:45:01 PM
If bitcoin is made for times like these why is everyone selling at a time like this?
China quarantined fiat FFS.
This tells me 100% BTC is only a financial purpose and not a practical purpose overall.

Just venting a little. This selloff is nuts.

Bitcoin is not made for times like this. Bitcoin is made for financial crisis. Collapse of central banks.  Bitcoin is also not ready to replace fiat at this moment. So even if in half year time central banks collapse I dont see that Bitcoin will be useful replacement.

What happened yesterday and what happened last year is totally normal. Same can continue this weekend and next week. It can or not. We will see. On long term all this is good for Bitcoin since it slowly destroys central banks.  Good things for Bitcoin are not just that price of Bitcoin increase. Good things are that people talk about Bitcoin and that they use it.
1648  Economy / Speculation / Re: Types of People on this Corona Virus crisis which group you belong? on: March 13, 2020, 05:21:33 PM
Brave hodlers
These peoples are the one still believe with the potential of cryptocurrency even the market now is dripping with blood. Ignoring the volatility and still relaxing while others are in state of confusion.

I would not call it a brave holders, but a lazy holder. You simply dont need to do nothing. Nor sell, nor buy nor pay taxes.

It was long ago obvious at least tome, we will fall in huge recession. So if I would be a trader I would sell weeks ago, but then would be question when I would buy back. I am pretty sure I would not wait until even close to perfect moment. So I should not be so sorry not to trade even when I am positive price will decrease. Profits are always way lower then maximum profits.  Not to  mention there was still chance I was wrong as I was so many times in past.  And If I would trade on all my calls, then would probably have no more coins to worry about them now. Smiley

Lazy holders for the win!
1649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 13, 2020, 01:24:56 AM
It is funny to see that Dow Jones was last time this low as now in mid 2017, at almost same time as Monero was last time sub $30 as right now.  Bitcoin still need to drop a bit to sync with Monero and Dow Jones.
1650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Grin Observer - GRN/BTC - Price Movement and Discussion on: March 13, 2020, 12:58:19 AM

I guess goal need to readjust to 10 cents. Original Bitcoin miners are getting recked as we speak. They will not be doing any pumping anytime soon.
1651  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 12, 2020, 11:34:23 PM
Luckily most of us dont live in Thailand https://twitter.com/MailOnline/status/1238012197537755136   No matter what will happen always remember it can get way way worse.
1652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which tokens do you like to stake/hold for profits? on: March 11, 2020, 01:48:24 PM
Which tokens do you like to stake/hold for profits?

What you earn from staking is so small compared to how much some coin/token increase/decrease value in one month. I would not bother with thinking of how much you can earn by staking but rather buy coins/tokens that will have use case in future and its value will increase in next 10 years.  Also if sole use case of a coin is to stake it sounds a lot like a ponzi.
1653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This 7 News of Last Week will help you to understand the Market Sentiment on: March 11, 2020, 01:19:08 PM
1. In the past week, four countries have embraced Bitcoin (BTC) and other cryptocurrencies as legal tender and/or financial instruments.
https://en.ethereumworldnews.com/why-more-governments-will-embrace-bitcoin-btc-and-crypto/

2. The Supreme Court of India on Wednesday overturned a 2018 ruling by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), which prohibited Indian banks from dealing with cryptocurrency exchanges
https://edition.cnn.com/2020/03/04/tech/cryptocurrency-india-ban-struck-down/index.html

5. France has officially recognized Bitcoin as a legal financial instrument. The court reasoned that Bitcoin lending is the same as any other “consumer loan.”
https://beincrypto.com/france-says-bitcoin-is-money-as-industry-cheers-bullish-week-for-crypto/

That is all ongoing battle. Governments set laws that are against country court system. Then court overrule those laws and dictate government to change them. Governments then or change and make new one or just ignore court.  One court ruling dont change anything. It will take many many years for this to change. Governments dont want to lose control over printing money.
1654  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Seasteading on: March 10, 2020, 02:54:16 PM
I just found out about it. I heard a long time ago about casino ships in countries where casinos are prohibited, but I hear about accommodation for the first time. If you do this, you need to carefully consider where to get food, where to take out the garbage, etc. But the idea is good!

The casinos on ships are not in the countries. The ships might be registered with a country. But when they do their casino activities, they do it outside of the 12-mile limit, so that they are in international waters.
Many governments want to legalize international waters. The UN has been trying to do this for years. The point is that legal anywhere is important only when there is military or police strength to uphold and enforce the legal activity.
Might doesn't always make what is right, but it always makes what exists.

Yes it is not about prohibited or not but about paying taxes. There are casinos in Florida so should be slowed also in Miami port. But If ships would allow gambling close to Florida coast then they would need to follow Florida gambling regulations and pay taxes there. 15 years ago I worked on a cruise ship and casinos simply started working after ship go to international waters. Same with the shops. On cruise ships that also makes sense. When on sea everything is open, when the ship dock then people go off the ship. So there is not even need to have casino and shops open. Even most bars are closed during port days. And crew members can go off the ship or take a long sleep.
1655  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID-19: Do not worry the market worry on people. on: March 10, 2020, 01:59:57 PM
It is recession fear. Why? Because in last 100 years recession on average come in about every 8 years. Now already 12 years passed from last one. A lot of things already happens last year to predict recession. Now with world economy going on halt on many parts of world recession is very possible.
1656  Economy / Speculation / Re: Im calling the bottom [TA] [7650 was the bottom] on: March 10, 2020, 12:57:51 PM
Whole chart that you presented happened in economic bull market. If recession happen then economic bull market will turn into economic bear market. If Dow Jones goes sub 15000, then $7650 for sure will not be the bottom.
1657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON’s Effort at Cryptocurrency Domination Sees Steemit Partnership on: March 09, 2020, 08:42:50 PM
I think this will blow up in Sun's face he has already angered the community around this project, and with any project the adopters are by far the most important aspect of a project.

If the fact that TRON plagiarised their whitepaper did not have any effect, then this will not either. Scammers and scams will keep flourish in crypto.
1658  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Coronavirus Hits CPAC - Ted Cruz puts himself under self quarnatine on: March 09, 2020, 07:58:45 PM
14 Day quarantine is now underway for him.
My reading of his statement is that it will actually be something closer to a 4 day quarantine. He had contact with the person infected with coronavirus 10 days ago, and the statement read that he will remain in self quarantine until 14 days has passed from when he had contact with the person.

You're without a doubt right, I kinda skimmed through his statement so that's what happened. But the other lawmaker that is under quarantine is Rep Gosar from Arizona. He's said that he had sustained contact with the infected person as cpac, so I assume he meets the criteria to be put under quarantine.

Why not. 4 days break. How can that hurt. Self quarantine is the only smart thing people do.  If he is infected he will most likely noticed earlier then in 4 days. Also you can do so many things even under quarantine. It is not end of the world.
1659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Reason behind recent drops in crypto haven on: March 09, 2020, 07:12:34 PM
Reason behind recent drops in crypto haven

Come on. How many times oil drops fro 20%? How many times that happened in last 50 years?  How many times FED and "Chinese FED" at same time as an emergency adjusted interest rate? I could point probably like 10 such events that all points to the upcoming recession.  Drop of Bitcoin price is also one of the signs.
1660  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin is supposed to go up of this corona! people are doing it wrong on: March 09, 2020, 06:39:43 PM
sell all your stocks and buy bitcoin
use 90 percent of your cash to invest in bitcoin.
so sell everything as fast as you can and buy cypto...

If you fell like trading, then I doubt today is best day to buy.

sell all your real estate , they will be seized by government for free for building hospitals, just like in china.

LOL like any other government is as efficient as China to be able to make that happen.
