1641  Economy / Economics / Re: Does it helpful when blockchain integrated to government system? on: June 07, 2019, 12:54:09 PM

Blockchain technology is considered to be revolutionary and game-changing that can hopefully transform many entities and organizations for the better and that certainly includes the government. However, we know that most governments are not open to the use of the blockchain on their ecosystem. Now, is it possible that one day we can have a government that incorporates some of the blockchain technology and really make it work? I am seeing a big potential on the electoral process maybe that this the best way to have a taste of blockchain in the government.
1642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Breaking News! Third world nation bans BTC. 10 years in jail for holding crypto on: June 07, 2019, 12:30:24 PM

In case this proposal can come into law, it would be a sad day for many Indians who believe in the use and advantages of cryptocurrency. Now, I am wondering how will the government determine if one has a bitcoin or any type of cryptocurrency? Will they be searching the computer files of someone suspected to "possess" such an asset? This is insane because this measure would virtually equate cryptocurrency with that of possessing an illegal drug or paraphernalia thereof. This is insanity at its best but once this can be the law there is nothing we can do to counter such a move from the government but to follow or maybe just hide.

It would be interesting how the cryptocurrency community in India will be reacting to this proposal. I am hoping that this can be the fire that can ignite them to fully unite and have their voices get heard. I am still hoping though that soon a better climate for cryptocurrency in India will ensue.

1644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving: Hype to Speculate? on: June 07, 2019, 10:40:26 AM
The halving is another way for hype which will make the miners to get more funds from the mining to cover the expense in running the business.
Which equally means that every cost on the current mining will be same but the gain from the mining will be cut in to 50% which gives reasonable account for the btc to surge in other to cover the cost of running.

I am now wondering if miners are partly responsible for the hypes that will happen as the halving is coming as it is on their pocket interest that bitcoin really go up while the incentives from mining is cut half. I understand that if the actual price of bitcoin is lower than the cost, miners will themselves buy more bitcoin on the market for holding.
1645  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has the dip passed? on: June 07, 2019, 10:24:23 AM
I have been in here from December of 2017. This means I had never experienced a complete bear market before. So I want to ask the veterans: Has the dip passed? What is your opinion of it?

There is no definite answer for that except that we have to wait for some days. In case bitcoin will start moving beyond $8,000 then we can say that the dip is waning. Bitcoin is right now hovering at $7,900+ which can be an attractive entrance for people planning to join the bandwagon. I am just hopeful that the bullish mode will eventually prevail here.
1646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scrabble: "Bitcoin" already included in it's 6th edition on: June 07, 2019, 10:06:09 AM
.. snip ..

I am sure this is just part of the growing awareness of the people on bitcoin. To be included in the new words of the scrabble game, the word has to be popular already and in use especially in online interactions. There is no doubt this can be helping for the mainstream adoption but of course there is no magic bean here. Certainly, the road to mainstream adoption is not just one event but rather a compounding effect of so many factors and even personalities contributing towards that goal. And of course, we are not there yet.
I agree, but I would say this is a welcoming news for bitcoin. This game has been around for more than 70 years now and it's one of the most popular games specially around the 80's-90's. So for me this is a good news, might not be the one reason for mainstream adoption, but this little steps will grow overtime and who knows, maybe scrabble players will be curious about this word and might try to invest in the future.

I am sure that scrabble addicts will get to know more of the word 'bitcoin' while they are playing the game. Anyway, this is just telling us that indeed bitcoin has already entered the general consciousness of many people and that there are now institutions recognizing this fact. Of course, this does not mean that just because it is part of the scrabble we can now see mainstream adoption but certainly this can help a little.

1649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some IEOs could also turn out to be scam on: June 07, 2019, 09:13:36 AM

New exchanges do not have the reputation to validate a project, they are just after the profit, SO they might promote a scam project either intentionally or unintentionally.

I am already aware of this problem. As far as IEO projects are concerned, things will boil down to the reputation and track records of the exchange where the crowdfunding is held. We should be avoiding exchanges that are not reliable as they can be introducing scam projects for the sake of money. Just because a project is doing an IEO does not automatically mean that it is genuine and will succeed in the marketplace.
1650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Video game ICO in 2019? on: June 07, 2019, 08:56:33 AM
I know ICO's were a thing back in 2017, but are there any reasons why one might still do one today? I'm a game developer with experience in crypto and I'm looking to leverage my experience in both. I know that app stores want to keep in-game transactions within their store, so they get the cut, but can this, perhaps, be remedied with web assembly or game streaming services?

Please explore more of your ideas and then determine its market viability. Game streaming services is considered as the future of gaming and I am sure that this can be a very competitive market with many big players all vying for share of the action. Now, as to doing an ICO that is already frowned upon right now but I am suggesting instead to work with a crowdfunding platform maybe similar to IndieGogo. I am wishing you success!
1651  Economy / Speculation / James Altucher: Bitcoin At $1 Million By 2020 Is Still Possible on: June 07, 2019, 08:45:13 AM

I am aware that there some people who think that James Altucher has no reputation to start with and that we should not listen to whatever he is saying no matter how positive it can be for bitcoin. But then again, maybe we should give him some space to make his point. In one of his latest interviews, he talked about enlightening things worth of our time, I guess.

"Best-selling author and former hedge fund manager James Altucher is not backing down from his $1-million-dollar bitcoin call that he boldly made back in 2017. His timelines may be a little different however. Altucher made the call two years ago when bitcoin was trading around $11,000, he called for the crypto to hit $1 million by 2020."

1652  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptonites -"Bitcoin is BATTLE-TESTED". Side-Chains, 2nd layer & KEY FACTS on: June 07, 2019, 08:33:49 AM

Nicholas Gregory made a good job here in this interview to clarify many things by simplifying things that can be beyond the normal comprehension of an average guy like me. The analogy on side-chains is good and the impact can be seen soon. There are many developments being discussed and it is really amazing to see them discussed on the level I could easily catch up. I am not wondering why this man is quite optimistic on bitcoin...he knows what he is talking about and he knows about this technology and platform like the palm of his hand. Thanks for sharing.
1653  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin believers/investors are foolish or low IQ people ? on: June 07, 2019, 08:01:54 AM

Few months back when I was reading this forum, somebody said Bitcoin investors and supporters just think of Bitcoin $5000 or $10,000 or $40,000. They do not know anything. $1 to $5000 in 10 years and Bitcoin people still say Bitcoin is an investment and not super-HYIP or ponzi.
Talks of Bitcoin as global currency and Bitcoin taking over Gold and Silver. Just like billionaire Warren Buffet who keeps saying buy Apple inc. shares and other shares and thereby pushing DOW Jones to 25000 with the help of financial cartel because people are too foolish and they believe in $1000 to $10,000 in 12 years.

I find it funny how you describe Warren Buffet like a fool and yet he is very successful on what he is doing. Actually, Warren Buffet is like you as he doesn't believe on bitcoin and its potential both as a currency and a store of value. Lucky for us, bitcoin is now an unstoppable force though it is not really perfect and can be risky if one is not careful -- anything that can be very rewarding has more chance it can really be risky. So my advice to anyone afraid to lose money and not seeing the reward potential: there is no need to be a part of the bitcoin train. Bitcoin is open to all but not all can be open for bitcoin...a fact that is shared also with any other investment vehicle. By the way, how do you define a PONZI?
1654  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best site for cloud mining? on: June 07, 2019, 07:15:52 AM
Hello friends plz suggest me best cloud mining site ? now i have account at main miner @ 10$ plan,  hash rate 1,  and getting daily 0.26usd.
Any other site suggest me or this one is good? i want to reach mininum payout then go for big plan. Want to check this iste is legit or not ..
thx and regards

I will not be recommending you any cloud mining program because 99.99% of them are scams or will be scams soon when the greed wallet of their operators can reach the full capacity. Please be careful in dealing with them and if you ever invest any money then make sure to get your capital as soon as possible. Take a look at this article why this is so:

https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-mining/cloud-mining/

Ok bro, thanks for reply I am new on Bitcoin, How can i make my own mining setup ? i have free electricity ( Solar System ) i think its a plus point for me Smiley

You better buy a bitcoin mining equipment which can surely be profitable for you since you have the supply of solar-produced electricity. Here is a good guide for you:

Man, good luck with your endeavor and please update us for any development.

1655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Global problems of cryptocurrency that cannot be sold by humanity on: June 07, 2019, 06:43:38 AM
1. The exchanges are weak. There are more and more cases when hackers steal a huge amount of money and we can't do nothing with it
2. There's not enough privacy and security. U say blokchain is private and secure but what about frauds that leads to kyc protocols integration
3. Manipulations on the market. Usual ppl just lose because of that
Do u have any solutions?

I am sure that solutions will be provided as the whole industry is evolving. As to exchanges, I think one solution that should be explored and improved on is making things decentralized -- the current set-up of many decentralized exchanges has many rooms for innovations. Blockchain technology is very secure but platforms outside of it are not though they are related and can be working with the technology. As always, human nature and sometimes human errors get in the way, and this is a gray area of concern however this is not just unique to this industry. As to manipulations, that can be so hard to control because we are in an open yet still limited market so an action of one may affect the whole ecosystem. It would be hard to legislate a law prohibiting any reaction to an obvious manipulation.

We should be looking at things from a bird's eye view...we are still on the 10th year of things so we are still so young. The most important thing here is that 1. we are recognizing the many problems and challenges affecting the whole industry and 2. we are continually looking for ways to deal with these problems. Remember that the failure of this industry will be the vindication of those who are opposing us.
1656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stores that accept bitcoin as a payment on: June 07, 2019, 06:23:26 AM

Hello! I've found a list of stores that accept bitcoin as a payment. But I'd like to know: are there more common stores (like Walmart, Starbucks) that accept crypto currency? or maybe something better like physical exchange or btc ATMs?

I think Walmart has not yet decided to join the bitcoin bandwagon though sooner or later there is a big possibility that they will if they can see a big market waiting for this service. When retailers can sense of an opportunity they are like sharks or vultures that will certainly want a part of the action rather than continuously an observer. Starbucks has already team up with an app and yes it is now accepting bitcoin.

https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/news/bitcoin-stores-spend-where-starbucks-whole-foods-crypto-a8913366.html

Retailing is one area that bitcoin can influence and though the adoption is slower than expected, I have no doubt we will eventually get there. The potential of this market is staggering and can open up many doors and windows previously closed for the king of cryptocurrency.

1657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scrabble: "Bitcoin" already included in it's 6th edition on: June 07, 2019, 06:02:24 AM
For those scrabble lovers out there, "Bitcoin" is one of the latest word added in their dictionary. Grin I don't know if we can consider this as getting closer to adoption, but we will take everything in stride.  Grin. Maybe next year we will see a lot of altcoins being added as well.  Smiley

I am sure this is just part of the growing awareness of the people on bitcoin. To be included in the new words of the scrabble game, the word has to be popular already and in use especially in online interactions. There is no doubt this can be helping for the mainstream adoption but of course there is no magic bean here. 1658  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Fraudsters (article) on: June 07, 2019, 05:01:16 AM

http://promo.raidofinance.eu/fraudsters  -- here we published an article

I guess it's too short (it should be bigger twice for a better result). What do you think?

You can publish a short article but come up with greater results depending on how effective and relevant are the information contained within. The article is basically talking about ways and means that scammers can fool people out of their money and the things that RaidoFinance is doing to stop hackers and scammers getting into its own system. I already heard those scams though they are sprouting everywhere as they are appealing to that greedy part of the human nature. KYC can be helpful though not a big guarantee of anything but better have it than nothing, I guess. You should be using more sophisticated technology to fend off any hacking or intrusion attempts.

But honestly no need to create a separate thread for that and just post updates on your official ANN thread.

Thanks! But I know nothing about ANN threads -- what does it mean?

Go and see more of the forum. ANN means ANNOUNCEMENT a portion of this forum where projects are shared to members and the general public.

1659  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: If you love Bee and wish help ecosystem join us Beekeeping Plaftorm on: June 07, 2019, 04:49:02 AM
Do we really need blockchain technology for this? Or are you just riding the popularity of this technology? Sorry but I felt I need to ask this questions.

Only the people behind the project can answer those important questions and they must convince us of the use and importance of this project. I actually love the bees and this is one of the agribusiness that I might concentrate on next year. I know the importance of the bees to the food production anywhere in the globe -- without the bees humans will have a hard time surviving on this planet.

Yes, the fact is that the blockchain technology can be utilized for any industry including farming and bees certainly deserve a special attention using this technology. I am hoping that someone from this project should convince us of the authenticity of the project, the genuineness of the people behind and the viability of the plans they are thinking for the project as a whole.

In today's cryptocurrency environment where scams are abounding, nobody should blame investors if they are very cautious.
