1661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: August 05, 2019, 09:57:55 AM
Is it really because of performance? age? competition? that's why no team from 82 teams aren't showing interest for this guy?
Do discrimination still exist in the NBA? I hope it's not the reason and i tend to believe too that it's business decision. When Yao Ming is still active in the Rockets roster, they got fans from Asia specifically on China because of him and it's good for the team and the NBA as well.
Yeah, I also don't see any discrimination at all. If I am on the head management of the team, there's a certain point in my mind to also think of trading Lin or the worst case is to abandon him because of his performance. What did he contributed on the finals? Almost none AFAIR! Even VanVleet made a greater performance than him. For me he was just overrated. With his current state I will not be surprised if he will left NBA forever and just play in the Asian region.
After doubts, Melo confident he wants to play

What do you think guys? Which team he will play, hopefully he will be back soon, he might have already realize his past mistakes and change it to fit in a certain team. According to him, he can provide leadership within a team, you thoughts?
Hmm, very hard to tell right now because the news which are spreading are only rumors, some even told that he will go to Lakers. Anyway, here is the list possible teams he can play with.
1662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bad days for crypto on: August 05, 2019, 03:52:12 AM
[snip]
At this end of the day we can see prices continue to rise and reach 11k and it looks like a bad day might be passed easily. Talking about the 20k prediction at the end of the year, it seems that it will not be achieved if market conditions continue like this which is very difficult to get a 100% bullish trend.
As of now btc's price is currently $11.5k+ and continue increasing, that was a good news tho. I'm just not sure when the price hike lasts. But in contrary, I'm also not expecting that we can hit $20k this year. I'm getting a little bit skeptical because the pace of improvement was slow. But well, -ber months is now approaching so we can expect btc to soar even further and I think we can considered ourselves lucky if we able to reach $15k to$17k before December ends Smiley.
1663  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin on $10k level - your preparation towards this price on: August 05, 2019, 01:09:55 AM
Congrats and more power sayo Smiley.
Do you think its worth it or hinde?
Hmm, for now hindi ko masabi kung worth it nga ba dahil hindi pa naman ako nagse-sell. I'm still on the process of saving btc kahit pakonti konti (ang dami ko kasing kailangan pagkagastusan *sigh).

If you check the current price now. Malapit na siyang maging $11,000 which is good considering na umabot ang presyo ng Bitcoin noon ng $4,000. Maraming nag sasabing analyst na baka lalong tumaas pa ang price ng Bitcoin by up to 5000%. Kung Tama ang prediction at Bullish na talaga ang Bitcoin, Baka ma reach natin ang all-time high at the end of the year.
I'm sorry to burst your bubble but achieving a 5000% increase is very far from the reality (at least for now). Mate, if I were you I'll stop now listening to so called "analysts" kasi wala naman talagang sense. Marami ng nagpredict pero walang tumatama accurately so why still listen, right? Though it's good to be optimistic, sometimes too much is bad because what they are now creating false hopes for everyone.
1664  Economy / Economics / Re: What are some not so obvious things that damage a country's economy? on: August 04, 2019, 02:53:30 PM
If you're thinking about indirect losses then the best answer to your questions are disasters.
Some people aren't talking about it too much but the government spends all of the money just to fix the result of the disaster. Those disasters are happening due to irresponsible people on this earth. Multiple declines in revenue and the goods and services are the result of indirect losses.
So true especially that we are one of those few countries within the Circum Pacific Ring of Fire. Now, you just made me  remember the latest calamity our fellow Filipinos from Batanes are facing recently. Consecutive earthquakes shocks which 5.9 magnitude as the strongest caused many injured, few dead and damaged to property that reach up to P50M (around $1M). That's a huge loss not only to economy and lives but also historically saying because old heritage sites there was also damaged Sad

Anyway, the less obvious things that deteriorate our country which I think is substandard infrastructure projects by the government and also corrupt officials (they remain secret unless they're exposed Grin).
1665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 04, 2019, 10:47:58 AM
^^ Dominant win by Colby. He swarmed Lawler from the very first round and didn't give him the chance, the pressure, his take down techniques, one bad dude.
We have the same observation dude and I wonder why it seems Lawler's team didn't cope with it? I admire Colby's stamina to give endless strikes to put Lawler against the cage and add takedown attempts, that was very effective. Honestly, I thought Lawler couldn't make the 5 rounds of competition because he is really struggling from the rear naked choke attempts by Colby om the early rounds. Good thing those are not so tight that's why he survuved Grin.
Dana should give the man the chance to fight for the belt.
Yeah! There's a high chance for it to happen, actually Dana mentioned it as well. The Rank 1 vs Rank 2 contender will fight head to head! Quite interesting. Let's see who's a better wrestler
1666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tone Vays has won me over: There is Bitcoin...and shitcoins. on: August 04, 2019, 07:44:18 AM
But I feel like we were all blinded in 2017. I have 20,000 Cardano, and all I see it do is lose Satoshi value. I feel like I’ve had enough!!
Yeah, it's pretty obvious that you got blinded by the hype on the last quarter of 2017and now you are regretting for riding on it. Well, don't treat yourself like you are the one who lose because most of us did. Alt holders (I am not, I just stick to btc for some reason) out there experienced the same but look at them they are still continuing their business. Losing doesn't mean the end of the world, it is a new beginning for you to become a better investor.

Hmm, if you are just a long term hodler then you might be in a big trouble right now because we don't know when the market pumps once again. So if I were you I'll try daytrading knowi g that i have a huge number of Cardano.
1667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best solution to handle gambling addition, in a country. on: August 04, 2019, 04:47:56 AM
Banning gambling is not going to solve the problem indeed. People just go to the other countries and play there and when they do that the government is going to lose lots of tax income too.
No, removing the root is always the best solution for ridding of the problem. For example, if the drainage system is blocked with garbage, the best solution would be cleaning the drainage or try to expand it? Of course the first one. I hope you got what I mean Smiley

Rebutting the loss of tax income? Nah, there are still many sources available. There are the tariffs on imported products, government-run lotteries and tax from private corporations. I think it's better to sacrifice the fraction of total tax income in exchange of healthy countrymen.
I believe it is all about educating people. It people can grow a well established consciousness over the years since the day they were born, it is easy to deal with any kind of addiction.
Indeed. That's why parental guidance is vital in this matter, parents are the one who should guide their children on doing good deed first and foremost. With this plus the seminars conducted by private and public sectors about gambling addiction awareness, for sure they can build a more well-oriented community.
1668  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Philippine's 5 million users on: August 04, 2019, 02:57:01 AM
That's the question! It's good to know na 5 million users na ang users ng coins.ph which is a good indication ng paglago ng crypto community sa bansa ang kaso nga lang hindi maalis sa isipan ko ang pagdududa. I'm curious kung ano pinagbasihan ng coins.ph for such statement, if they based only on the number of registrations then hindi pa rin ako masyado impressed kasi marami dyan na gumawa lang ng account after mahype saglit tapos tinamad din or kaya naman yung mga tao na nagregister for referral tapos after makuha ang pakay ay umalis din. Mas maganda kung naging mas specific sana sila, mas maganda kung hindi lang users but active users ang sinabi nila because there's a lot of difference between the two Smiley.
1669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is better Government run Lottery or private run Lottery on: August 03, 2019, 09:17:21 AM
I wasn't expecting that this one could be worse Grin. Is this really a government-run lottery in Indonesia? I can't believe it. With such rules and mechanics, the transparency of the game itself is very doubtful. They should start doing it the electronic way because it is a must.
- Paid actors with sleight of hands; etc.
I guess this is the best way to cheat that game especially that bulk of coupons around your body can serve as your blind spot to do the trick and the act will be a lot easier if there are no CCTVs in there.

Great job asu, you should apply to be one of the merit source in the Philippines.
Congrats mate, I'm also in favor of what mirakal says. You deserve to become as one of the merit sources here in our local board.
Push mo yan nasa likod mo lang kami.
Congrats sayo asu! Sinasabi ko na nga ba hindi talaga ako nagkamali sa pagpili ko kung sino ang next na pwede maging merit source Smiley, look at my post here. But anyway, ikaw sheenshane? Wala ka bang plano maging merit source? Sa tingin ko qualified ka rin naman.
1672  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: This will be serve as my first post. on: August 02, 2019, 04:09:10 PM
This will serve as my first post.
I understand if you have the habit of greeting everyone before entering a community kagaya na nga lang ng sinabi mo but IMHO doing this is not necessary. Besides we can get to know you more throughout your journey here, right? Maging active ka lang and mas makikilala ka namin along the road. No offense kabayan, alam ko namang good ang intention mo pero kasi yung mga ganitong bagay ay hindi usual na ginagawa dito (based on what I observed so far). Imagine mo ilang libo tayo dito tapos isa isa tayong magpapakilala, Boom! There would be a spam fest for sure. I might be just overthinking or paranoid but I hope you get my point Smiley.
To make it clear, merit and smerit are two different things. In addition, for every merit you get you will also be granted with 1/2 smerit however you can't send a fraction of an smerit so kailangan mo pa ulit makatanggap ng isang merit para makapagsend ng full smerit. I want to discuss it further but I will just refer you to theymos' post para mas lalo mong maintindihan.
Nice mindset, tama yan! Dapat "Learning before Earning". Keep it up.

Ps: Sorry kung hindi masyado warm ang naging pagwelcome ko sayo, don't take it seriously. Once again, welcome here and enjoy Smiley.
1673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Philippine Basketball Association Semi Finals Discussion on: August 02, 2019, 07:53:14 AM
I think Game 4 will be the last game for the ROS so for those ROS fans here, just don't watch Cheesy.
Well, do not conclude yet until the game is over but to be honest I also have a gut feel that SMB can now sweep ROS tonight. I'm not a Beermen fan but lately I'm getting curious whether TNT's Trollano, Pogoy and Rosario can do their sneaky tip ins and offensive rebounds against the Kraken. Hmm, I don't think so since Fajardo is a better center than Aguilar and Slowter Grin.
1674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Philippine Basketball Association Semi Finals Discussion on: August 01, 2019, 01:59:48 PM
TNT must win the game tonight, they are working well in the past games and I think they have a better chance to get the championship again. Though Ginebra is not an easy team to beat for, this is a good match to watch for considering the crowd of Ginebra its really amazing. Let's see who will win tonight.
Hello there, I'm a genie and your wish is my command Wink jk. Congrats, your hopes do come true and I also agree with you. TNT definitely deserve the spot for the finals because their harmony as a team was way more obvious than GSM. How impressive to see a small line up beating those giants when it comes to offensive rebound and still pull off the series despite of their import having a foul trouble. Just wow! Congrats to TNT and better luck next time for GSM fans out there (like me) Grin.
1675  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: What is the best for you to earn? A Poll for people on: August 01, 2019, 01:16:14 PM
[snip]
Hindi ganun kalaki ang income gaya ng ibang means but earning a minimum of at least $4-$5/week is not that bad, right? Kesa naman wala. Grin
1676  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: What is the best for you to earn? A Poll for people on: August 01, 2019, 04:19:48 AM
IMO the best way of earning is working on a job for exchange of crypto. So the best talaga para sa akin yung mga sig campaigns, selling signatures and avatar, campaign managing and offering any services you could offer kasi wala kang magiging lugi. Talagang effort at time lang ang puhunan which can be negligible if we will having an assessment Smiley. I go for sig campaigns and investing for now.
1677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anthony Pompliano Says Country That Adopts Bitcoin First Will Have Advantage on: August 01, 2019, 02:43:26 AM
It's plausible that either US or Russia could mass adopt crypto but China? I'm getting a little bit skeptical about it for now because their government is having mood swings. I mean they banned ICOs before but now they're into crypto once again. I don't see on which side really they are.

Anyway, Land of the Rising Sun was halfway there already lol. They are now starting to embrace cryptocurrency. It was amazing to see that they are just a small country but have a very huge dream Smiley.
1678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is better Government run Lottery or private run Lottery on: August 01, 2019, 01:39:50 AM
Gambling is still a gambling, it causes bad effects for us so I don't it doesn't matter if it run by government or private sector. For tjis reason, it makes me hard to choose between the two. But if I really have to then I'll go for government-run because I can assure of its legality and the prize pool is way bigger than the other Grin.
Philippine President Duterte suspended the operation of the government-run lottery
By the way, the president Duterte finally uplift the suspension on lotto operations. Take note, lotto operarions only, STL and Peryahan ng Bayan are still closed. I think that was good than nothing, at least you can still gamble Smiley.
1679  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [DISCUSSION] What have you learned on BITCOINTALK FORUM? Share Your Experiences. on: July 31, 2019, 03:52:26 PM
Aside from btc related stuff (buying and selling, storing, sending, ways of spending), gambling, trading, politics and economy, the composition of this forum and how it works as well as the happenings in crypto sphere, I also learned a lot of lessons here which I could also apply in real life situations. I learned more about:

1. Communication Skills - My English written and comprehension skills are enhanced. Though hirap pa rin talaga ako sa mga malalalim na vocabulary words tsaka sa tamang paggamit ng phrases but mas improved na siya compare before. Another, nagiging mannerism ko pa rin yung paggamit ng words such as "that" and "because" but I'm already working on it.
2. Research - Mas naging matiyaga ako lalo na magsearch ng mga bagay bagay ranging from the jargons I can't understand up to the ideas na bumubuo sa mga post/thread ko.
3. Time Management - Natuto akong hati-hatiin ang oras ako at iwasan na ang addicting games especially that I have to reach my weekly quota on my campaign.
4. Proper Ethics - I learned how to behave properly and talk to different members with different temper.
Nakakaya man aminin somehow but that's true Grin.
6. Less Expectations, Less Hurt - Natutunan ko to live more without worries. Kung hindi ako mabigyan ng merit then it's fine, okay na sa akin yung hindi ako kabilang sa mga toxic dito. Kung hindi ako matanggap sa campaign ay okay lang din, iniisip ko na lang na marami pang chances na darating at magkakatrabaho na rin ako soon so money talks will be not a big issue anymore. I learned to not let these things stress me out, I just continue being patient and calm.

Other things I wamt to learn? Hmm, sobrang dami but here are some:

1. Btc/alt Mining
2. Daytrading
3. The blockchain tech itself
4. Encoding and Programming (BBcodes, Python, Arduino)
5. Meta related topics
In fairness,

Pero I'm not so sure kung same thing lang din if sa PC.

You can take a look at this, malay mo mas maconvinced ka.
