Filled survey, left 4 in question about how well it was organized. Not because it was something bad, but there is always room for improvement.
Didn't fully understood question about league system with relegations and promotion. Let's say we play in EPL and after season someone drop to Championship? If yes, I doubt that we would get enough users for it and probably many will lose interest if he would have to predict 2nd division games. Or after relegation you would continue in EPL, but you would have to predict together with players who are in 2nd tier?
1662  Economy / Reputation / Re: I have spent 100 days of my life logged on bitcointalk! on: December 20, 2022, 10:27:08 AM
As we can see OP is not a bot clearly and he made an accomplishment that is only possible by spending time on the forum. And for that logged in time, we members not receive anything and I don't say that we need something for that. While OP is sharing about his achievement, all I can do is appreciate him and if you don't see that as appreciatable and you have your reasons that is okay.
There is no single bad word about OP from me and offcourse that he isn't bot. My point is that total time while logged in isn't most significant achievement.
Offcourse, it matters how did you spend your time here. If during your time here you learned something or contributed to forum, offcourse, it's worth appreciation. But sometimes people spend hundreds of days here without doing anything valuable.

You just posted a link to the @HersonVestnik yourself as your source of information. Should I show you their logo or did you not see it the first time?

Here is their logo
https://talkimg.com/images/2023/09/10/meGU8.jpeg

Then you should be recognized as a supporter of the Z movement?
It turns out that you consider yourself entitled to publish any links when it suits you, but you criticize other people for the same.
LOL, offcourse that I know that's pro-Russian channel, but where did I used it as source of information. I just showed obvious example from Russian media how they're making fake stories.

Quote
But you obviously underestimate them. Why do you think they lied in their articles about Russian strikes on the territory of Poland, was it not for the purpose of escalating the conflict?
Because initially it looked like it was Russian missile. I just remind you that on that day Russia made massie attack on Ukrainian infrastructure and it wouldn't be nothing surprising that their missile landed in territory in Poland, same like there stories about missiles landed in territory of Moldova. There was no logical reasons to think that it was Ukrainian missile.
BTW, there wasn't just Brittish newspapers, but basically press of whole world..
P.S. I'm very sceptical about information Brittish press, especially tabloids, and not only about war topic. They would do anything to get more clicks.

Apparently, you mean this post in Telegram?
https://t.me/margaritasimonyan/12433
Yeah, this one. Offcourse, I don't read her minds, but from context it looks that she was thinking that it was Russian missile. How else you would explain words ''how did you wanted''?

Quote
Have you seriously concluded about Simonyan's thoughts on this text? Especially for you, here is the next post in her telegram, which she published 10 minutes later.
https://t.me/margaritasimonyan/12434
I'm not subscribed here channel, so, I didn't saw this posts. But actually it's not even here text, it's just repost from other channel.

You are again manipulating the facts.
Who debunked, are you? You couldn't even write a post without lying.
Where do you see manipulation on facts and where exactly is lies in my post? Your fakes were debunked multiple times by me and other users. I'm a bit lazy to dig deep in past, but here is one example with Bayraktars:

What about Elon Musk's Twitter don't you like? Twitter Blue: The New Freedom of Speech?, The Space? Although he may have annoyed some people, the fact that there are now twice as many people using Twitter as there were before he took over suggests that Elon is managing it properly, unless I'm missing something.
There is lot of things that I don't like on Musk's Twitter. First one is selling verified badges for $ and how many scams happened after they introduced such policy. Freedom of speech? It doesn't exist on Twitter when Musk is selective and keep double standards when choose which accounts to unban. Also, he is planning to increase number of characters from 280 to 4000. It means that Twitter will turn into another Facebook with long texts. People preffered Twitter exactly because of short and fast messages.
2x more active users than before Musks's era? It sounds too good to be true, but ok.
1666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽️ Betnomi.com ⚽️ Bundesliga Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: December 18, 2022, 10:56:11 PM
There have been various rumours in the last few days, but I think that it is currently most likely that they will bring back Alexander Nübel, who is currently on loan at AS Monaco.

Nübel, however, does not seem to be sure yet whether he really wants to return to FC Bayern. As a young goalkeeper, he of course wants one thing above everything else, time on the pitch. And if Manuel Neuer should return in six months, Nübel will certainly not simply sit on the bench as second goalkeeper.

That's why the development at FC Bayern is truly exciting. It could even mean the end of Manuel Neuer on the big European stage. Even though I don't think Neuer will just admit defeat like that. Didnt he recently say that he want to be Germany's goalkeeper at the EURO 2024?
I read that there is an issue between him and Bayern goalkeeper coach Tapalovic. If Bayern won't get rid of Tapalovic, he won't return to the club. Offcourse, it's only rumours and it migh be false. Now I see Gladbach goalkeepr Yann Sommer mentioned as main target.
BTW, just now I realized that Neuer is already 36 years old, I thought that he is few years younger. But 36 years isn't that much for goalkeeper, without injuries it's possible to play at top level until 38 or even 40 years, so, it's nothing surprising that he is planning to lead Germany in Euro 2024.

Congratulations to @casperBGD for winning competition! I won't lie, I backed @Harkorede in the final. His win would mean that I got eliminated in Round of 16 by future champions Cheesy
Also, big thanks to @Trofo and @cryptofrka fro making this competition and all these difficult and creative question. And offcourse Sportsbet for generous support.
I think everyone will agree with me - first attempt didn't failed and I'm waiting for future competitions.

From 2013 to 2017, the Twitter channel was more active and useful. And there's nothing wrong with what the OP just did; there's been a lot going on with Elon Twitter, and I'm just hearing about this development for the first time and found it useful. Bitcointalk Twitter contains a large number of bitcointalk historical tweets and should be protected at the very least.

I'm aware that the forum is terrible at maintaining anything outside of the forum; the forum's YouTube channel and Discord both failed, so I'm not surprised.
OP did nothing wrong with this topic indeed, I also wasn't aware about this thing that Musk is planning to do. Actually, it's not that easy to follow every stupid thing that Musk makes. I agree that Bitcointalk twitter is part of history and I also would prefere to keep it alive, rather than get deleted. But if it will get deleted, it won't be that big loss. Things that Musk isdoing with Twitter is ridiculous and I'm not sure that theymos want to be part of it. I wouldn't be surprised if Musk will destroy Twitter himself with his actions.
1669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's FIFA World Cup 22 Prediction Pool Discussion thread on: December 18, 2022, 08:03:36 PM
Until 80th minute it looked quite boring final, France weren't able to make anything and it looked that even players don't believe that they can make an comeback. But after 8th it turned into one of the best World Cup finals ever and without any doubts, best that I saw.
If yesterday I thought that best goalkeeper of tournament is either Livakovic or Bonou, today I'm confident that's Martinez. He was doing amazing things today, especially THAT save on the final minutes of extra time.
And Messi, what a tournament he had and finally he achieved everything what is possible in football. Simply GOAT.
Damn, even few hours after final it's still difficult to pick words for me, so much emotions.
BTW, congratulations to @darxiaomi with Argentina win. Though, I'm not sure that you will notice my post, I imagine you're celebrating now with whole country  Wink

Mbappe set a record - no one except him scored 4 goals in the World Cup finals. Given the fact that he has a long career ahead of him, this may not be the limit, in addition, he is only 4 goals away from Klose's record - he will definitely break this record as France is consistently participating in the group stage of the tournament.
That moment when you score a hattrick in World Cup final and it wasn't enough to win. What a player. But everything is still ahead for him. He already have World Cup trophy and probably 3 more chances to win it again. Beating Klose's record is only matter of time.
1670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's FIFA World Cup 22 Prediction Pool Discussion thread on: December 18, 2022, 02:33:00 PM
It's good that all France players were able to recover for the final game and both teams will play with best their squads.
Only more than 20 minutes left until game and hype is very big. I'm not going to predict something or share my bets, simply just let best team to win and I hope that there won't be contraversies, scandals and mistakes of referee.
1671  Other / Meta / Re: theymos! Please use the forum account on Twitter to tweet on: December 17, 2022, 11:28:38 PM
If Bitcointalk twitter account weren't used for more than 4 years, maybe it's not important thing at all and even if it will be deleted, it won't be big loss at all. Twitter never been important channelf of communication for Bitcointalk.
And I think that Bitcointalk shouldn't follow and agree with every stupid thing that Musk does.
1672  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: December 17, 2022, 11:21:38 PM
1. Regarding the "wall of text", I'm thinking about formatting it in the form of comics, so that it would be easier for the famous analysts here to perceive information.
This is a joke, who didn’t understand, because after the events with the blown up gas pipelines, it seems that the most wonder guys gathered here, who really believe that Russian troops are shelling themselves in Donetsk, Luhansk, at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant and exploding their own pipelines.

2. I don't remember that I was quoting the RT site. Can you provide at least one link to confirm that you are not trying to manipulate facts?
But even if I quoted this site, their activities cannot be compared with the well-known British sites, which a month ago lied recklessly that Russia attacked Poland and killed two tractor drivers. These unscrupulous swindlers could become the perpetrators of the third world war. These (owners and editors of British newspapers) are real criminals and the most shameless creatures.

Further, when I quoted Konashenkov, it was in relation to the number of Turkish bayraktars shot down, as far as I remember. And then some local users, like you and Suchmoon, tried to prove that they were delivered to Ukraine much less than they were shot down in the reports of the Russian army. The situation regarding bayraktars is reflected in this post.

3. Regarding the "debunked fakes" give me links to your revelations. I hope this will not be the same slag that you reposted from Medusa, who posts information without checking it.
Russians is definitely shelling themselves, sometimes just for nice image. Look at this video for example:
https://t.me/HersonVestnik/12073
It's Lancet drone attack against S-300 system. The problem is that this system belongs to Russia. Just look at Z symbol on it.
Now I won't go through history of your posts and won't check every link that you posted. I named RT and Konashenkov more to summarize what kind of content you're posting and consider it as credible source. I remember someone posting links to RT, maybe it wasn't you. But you post links to Russian Z telegram channels, what isn't better source at all.
British newspapers could become perpetrators of third world war? I think you overestimate power of them..
BTW, soon after this accident happened, I remember that Russian propagandist Simonyan posted on her Telegram that now Polish people will know how people of Belgorod in border feels living in constant shelling from Ukraine. I'm not sure does this post still exist or no but even russian propagandists were thinking that it was Russian missile.
Your lies were debunked multiple times already, but offcourse you will call it fakes because it comes from Western or Ukrainian sources and it doesn't fits Russian narrative.
1673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's FIFA World Cup 22 Prediction Pool Discussion thread on: December 17, 2022, 06:02:55 PM
Congratulations for all Croatians here. Winning medals 2nd World Cup in a row is something amazing, Very rare thing, but it was good 3rd place game, these early goals guaranted it. Croatia win is deserved, they controlled game in 2nd half, Morocco players looked visibly tired.

Man, i understand your point but in football doesnt work that way, nobody remember the third place, in olympics yes its important but not in football.

Do you see the game for third position in UCL, in UEL in Libertadores Cup? No, doesnt exist. The third position thing its more a historical one from the amateur era.

I know for Morocco can be important being third, but for the world of football you will be remembered for reach the semifinal, no more.

Im a big fan of football and i dont remember without searching the third place of Mexico 86, Italy 90, USA 94 and go on.

EDIT: Congratulation to reach the legendary range !! i just see that.
I have mixed feelings about 3rd place game, but today we saw that this game really matters for both teams and how Croatians celebrated winning game - it was important for them.. I agree that not many will remember 3rd place winners and in most cases such game is waste of time. But in countries like Croatia, Poland or Turkey such achievement always will be remembered.
1674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's FIFA World Cup 22 Prediction Pool Discussion thread on: December 17, 2022, 12:19:29 AM
@casperBGD Also definitely agree Asia getting 33% more slots than S America does seem a bit overrated -- but at the same time, this is AFC slots, I believe, which actually includes almost the entire Middle East (and Australasia). I've been saying for a while there are some Central Asian club outfits just a tick below the likes of Iran and Saudi who probably are at least as good as some UEFA and Concacaf teams (and the fact UEFA actually admitting Kazakhstan who left AFC).

And then apparently Russia is seriously considering to join AFC from UEFA, they'll probably take an extra spot.

It's football gerrymandering and money...
There is some OK level teams in Asia which currently don't qualify to World Cup and would benefit from expansion of tournament. Uzbekistan, UAE or China for example. They're better than weakest UEFA teams. But they would struggle against mediacore UEFA teams. Kazakhstan example shows it well - they never had real chance to qualify to major tournament through UEFA. Considering extra WC slots for AFC, I wouldn't be surprised if they will consider to return to Asian confederation.

I think its a shit game, for me this game doesnt have to exist. Because if you are a player, with how many force do you play this game? Its not at the same level to a competitive one.

Asides of this i think Croatia will win, for what i said above, Morocco team can go back to the normal, they lose that extra energy bring by make the impossible, or being the cinderella.
If we would have France and Argentina fighting for 3rd place, then I think that such game isn't needed at all. I doubt that they would be very interested to fight for it. But for Croatia and Morocco 3rd place would be big achievement and I expect that players of both teams will have motivation to fight fo it.
1675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euroleague 2022/23 Season on: December 16, 2022, 11:56:55 PM
We should have a Euroleague thread but I couldn't find for new season. Maybe we can go on with this one, OP can update thread name.

I watched last minutes of Partizan - Anadolu Efes game, it was intense game and had close ending. Efes made it down to one in last minute but Nunnally made a 3-pointer. After that Efes found an easy score but Nunnally didn't miss both free throws. Efes found one more chance after a successful 3-pointer but when the difference was 3 points they couldn't get the ball into play and blew that last chance.

Anadolu Efes looked pretty far away from their last season's performance. Partizan is giving good signals but their squad is limited. You can see Obradović's touch though. Nunnally and Exum are scorers, there's also Punter from bench but they need better Center and Power Forward. With this squad they will finish in middle places.
Thanks for bumping this topic. It's sad that Euroleague isn't getting much attention here. I think that this Euroleague season is most competetive ever.
I watched Partizan - Efes game and I like to watch Partizan playing. They have potential to fight for playoffs, but as you said, short bench can be big problem for them. I think that Lessort is perfect center for them, but they need backup for him. While Efes, they never show their best basketball in first part of season.
Later turned to Monaco - Alba game and with ended buzzer beater of Okobo and Monaco win:
https://twitter.com/EuroLeague/status/1603871239000449025 It's a bit strange that on last posession ball weren't in Mike James hands Cheesy. Meanwhile it was already 11th lossfor Alba in a row  Shocked. But for me Olimpia Milan is biggest disappointment. With such squad and professor Messina they can't be in the bottom of table.
1676  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World population is now 8 billion. on: December 16, 2022, 08:28:19 PM
Something doesn't works here. Remember all these conspiracy theories that Covid was made to reduce World population. Lather when vaccines against Covid were made, we got same conspiracy theories that vaccines were created to kill people. But still, population of of World continue to grow despite these things.
Now seriously, it's sad. It takes about 11-13 years to World population to grow by 1 billion. But it's nothing positive when huge part of these people living in bad conditions and birth rate in poor countries isn't controlled at all.

While population is increasing with exponential rate there are counties where birth rate is still very low  like South Korea 0.9 child per women. https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/total-fertility-rate
It's not just South Korea. It's same thing in most of developped countries like Japan, whole Europe and North America, Australia. Birth rate there is between 1-1.5. Such numbers means that population there is getting older there and eventually declining.
1677  Economy / Reputation / Re: I have spent 100 days of my life logged on bitcointalk! on: December 16, 2022, 08:04:21 PM
Even then, reaching post milestones is relatively easy, and could be done in a short period of time. I think the better way of measuring someone's achievements would be the impact they've had on others here. For example, there's a ton of users here that are known for what they've done to make this forum a better place. You only have to look at the community awards, and who gets nominated due to their achievements or impact that they've had.

Merit is another way; since that's generally only given for impactful or substantial posts.
I agree merit is better way to measure achievements and use it for milestones. Though, as said above, it have some downsides. Reaching x number of posts can be relatively easy, but still, it requires more or less eforts. While basically to reach 100, 200 or 500 days  while being logged in is enoughto keep tab with Bitcointalk open on your browser without doing anything.
You have very good point about community awards shows who contributed most in different ways, but at the same time it's also popularity contest.
1678  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: December 16, 2022, 07:43:35 PM
Speaking of disappearances, did we ever get Veleor's take on the "negative offensive" around Kherson or the 100 HIMARSes destroyed by Konashenkov? I don't recall. Veleor usually brings the full digest of Russian propaganda, much better than be.open's lazy channel 1 parrot act.
I'm sure that sooner or later he will come back here again, dropping another wall of text full of Russian propaganda with links to ''very credible sources'', like RT or Konashnenkov. But when someone debunks his fakes, he usually don't bother to reply.
1679  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: December 15, 2022, 10:30:28 PM
This reasoning doesn't make any sense when you look any closer.

If (and they don't) US had their precious bio-labs in ukraine then that would be the reason for defending it?

Then don't you think that destroying those labs would come way cheaper then funding a bloody WAR for a year. Do you know how much building a new factories full of labs costs versus a WAR? Do you know what one missile costs? You might not realize that only thing they would need to preserve from those supposed labs is data to build them in anywhere else.

I can't believe i have to say this out loud but this biolab excuse is just total nonsense.
You're trying to find logic in his posts? Give up, mate, it's pointless thing.

Many in Russia are of the opinion (including myself) that the special operation to liberate Donbas should have started eight years earlier. But in fairness, I note that not only Ukraine used this time to strengthen its combat capability, but also Russia - to diversify and minimize the risks associated with Western sanctions. Russia's disconnection from SWIFT, Visa and Mastercard in 2014 would have been a disaster for the financial sector, and in 2022 it went almost painlessly. From a food importer in eight years, Russia has become a major exporter. Therefore, I am not inclined to dramatize about the hypocrisy and duplicity of Merkel, in this world everything happens only on time.
Oh, guess who is back. We haven't seen you for a while, probably since shameful retreat of Russians from Kherson. It was a bit boring without you, it would be interesting to read your insights about it.
Sanctions went almost painlessly? It's same like "special operation" goes as planned.
1680  Economy / Reputation / Re: I have spent 100 days of my life logged on bitcointalk! on: December 15, 2022, 09:23:49 PM
Congratulations with your milestone! It's nice that you managed to catch it exactly when it happened. You spent more than 3 months of your life here Wink. BTW, I think there is not that many forums which shows how much time you spent on it. I never paid much attention how much time I spent (or sometimes wasted) here. Now it's almost 148 days.

What a journey! This must be an incredible achievement, investing so many times of your life in something.
Members like you make this forum what it is today, keep going.

I think it's not needed to overstimate such achievement. It's nice thing, but not same like making x number of posts or getting like 1000 merit for example. Not about OP, but it's easy to achieve such thing without doing anything, you just need to keep your browser tab with Bitcointalk open. There is some accounts there with more than 20 000 days logged in and 0 posts. Offcourse, they're bots, it's not possible for real human to achieve such things - after all, 20k days is more than 50 years.
