1661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or banking investment? on: June 01, 2023, 07:15:08 PM
I believe bitcoin and banks are well renounced investment platforms but many people prefer bitcoin investment despite is very risky because of high demands and rising price interest and banks on the other hand saves millions of people finances all over the world yet their investment interest is very small but less risky than bitcoin. Which do you preferred your money to be save in as investment? Bitcoin or bank! What's your reason?

It will be much easier to build a bank for yourself rather than risking your money to a bank that got a very low annual interest rate, so low that it cannot even keep up with the overwhelming inflation. Using a bank as a storage place is not really a bad idea as long as you don't plan to store it for long before inflation catches up to you, and as people prefer nowadays, they are more into bitcoin rather than a bank even if it's a risky investment because in bitcoin, their money has a chance to grow and it is also a hedge against inflation.
1662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 01, 2023, 05:56:16 PM

I think the over 216.5 is worth considering, considering that the Denver Nuggets will win.

What if the Nuggets do not win? There is no assurance that the Nuggets will win. Although they are playing at home, it is not guaranteed that they will win as being overly confident often leads to mistakes. That is why only a few succeed in gambling.
And that is what exactly I'm hoping for because I will be putting my bets in-favor of the Miami Heat to win the Game 1 @ Ball Arena. Sure enough, even if the odds is telling the opposite thing, I'm still holding out that little chance with the Heat because there is no assurance that the Nuggets will win after all. Anyway, good luck to all!

Speaking of my bet, here's mine.
Miami Heat -8.5 @ 2.01 + ML @ 4.2 vs Denver Nuggets
1663  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: June 01, 2023, 04:57:04 PM

Miami Heat -8.5 @ 2.01 vs Denver Nuggets .. Good luck sa inyo!
1664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 01, 2023, 02:32:05 PM
Nuggets on Game 1 for me too. Although I doubt the high spreads if it can be covered.

If you believe that they will win in game 1, trust them to cover the spread. Currently, the Moneyline (ML) odds for the Nuggets are only 1.28, so I think that is too low for gambling unless you have great faith in them and would like to bet a decent amount. However, if you're not betting a lot of money, I think -10 with odds of 2.03 would be fine. Sometimes we have doubts about whether the spread will be covered, but often, when we have doubts, it's the easiest bet that we should take.

In the end, you just have to be confident and trust your analysis.

Money line is not that sweet because the Denver Nuggets now are listed as a very heavy favorite because of what seed they've finished the regular season plus they have pulled a stunt that very few can make and that was sweeping a team in a conference finals. So, if you're looking a heavy payout, handicap will be needed but giving a +10 advantage on the Heat might be a bad choice. Nobody can guarantee that of course, so who knows what will happen on their first game.
1665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which New Technology will be adopted by the Gambling Industry? on: May 31, 2023, 06:57:11 PM
With technological advancements, a gambler can now enjoy his favorite casino game from the comfort of his home and even on the go. Convenience, accessibility, and expanding selection of online gambling platforms are sure to entice more players in the coming years. What do you think will be the subsequent big adoption in the Gambling industry in the future?

According to my understanding, there are two important innovations that will be adopted by the Gambling industry.

VR/AR Casinos:

Apple is in the process of launching its own VR/AR headset. After the release, I reckon that  Virtual Reality casinos will get a boost and will revolutionize the way we experience the thrill of the game. Imagine being transported to a virtual casino floor. With realistic sights and sounds, and interacting with other players from around the world.  I am assuming that VR technology is poised to create an immersive gambling experience like never before.

AI:

AI is gaining a lot of momentum in different business sectors. Considering its ability I guess casinos can use AI to monitor, analyze betting patterns, detect fraud, and prevent multiple security issues from AI bots. I do feel this technology might have been already implemented by gambling platforms. If a user can easily create bots to generate profits then casinos can also do the same for security purposes.

What do you guys think?

Both things will be adopted by the gambling industry soon and I think that they are already around the corner considering that these innovations are already in the works right as we speak, and some companies are even on their final phase and tests before they will release it. So, it will be a battle of which company will release it first and can produce some in the market so that these gambling industries can already get ahold of it.
1666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 31, 2023, 06:15:05 PM
What you guys think on Denver-Miami series? What you would bet on? I think Denver is in advantage and will try to play agressive and make Miami take hard shots, so I would play Miami under first game.

I think Denver Nuggets will be champion.
I will place my bet for the first match when the odds are clear.
I can bet on Caleb Martin again. Because he is so good right now.
For me, I already learned some lessons not to underestimate the Miami Heat this season especially the part where they have eliminated the #1 seed in the semis which is the Milwaukee Bucks, and after that, even if they are against the Boston Celtics as well as their odds, I still chose the Heat to win the series and bet them game after game which eventually turned profitable to me and to some of my friends whom I shared my predictions with.

So, yes, that will mean that I will be with the Miami Heat in Game 1 at Denver and I will be putting my bets about a few hours before the 1st game will commence.
1667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 31, 2023, 05:48:13 PM
Haney tries to follow in the footsteps of Mayweather but I think he is so far behind the Money. When Mayweather fought Castillo and won via controversial decision the former immediately give Castillo a rematch and there, he proved that the belt rightfully belonged to him.

For Haney, if he thinks he is better than Loma, even if they fought four times, he would still be victorious if indeed his skills and talent are way above Loma so why the talk?

Mayweather's name in boxing is 'Money' because money follows him every time he fights. In the case of Haney, he isn't a pay-per-view (PPV) attraction like Mayweather, so he still has to prove himself more before reaching the status of Mayweather before retirement. Mayweather has fought the best in the boxing world and has dominated most of the fights he won. As you mentioned, he even gave rematches, which sets him apart from Haney.

I think there are two similarities between both boxers: they are undefeated and sometimes considered boring.

He only tries to copy what Mayweather would do in this kind of scenario where his chances are literally not that high if he will permit Loma to have his much-wanted rematch, besides, I think he already knew that he definitely lack on promoting a fight as that is not his forte. The only who is best in copying Mayweather's tactics that I see is from the welterweight division, which is Errol Spence Jr., a PPV King who numerously had big fights wherever he goes, especially now if they he will indeed share the same ring with Crawford.
1668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 31, 2023, 03:53:08 PM
This is still very early, but I'm sure that we have heard Rolly Romero calling out Ryan Garcia after his controversial win against Ismael Barroso to capture the vacant WBA 140 lbs title. And with that, Ryan already responded as says,

https://twitter.com/RyanGarcia/status/1662519299083493378

We've seen Ryan Garcia already back in the gym, this time and obviously everyone knows about it, he has move to Derrick James as his new trainer and trying to be a slick boxer, hehehehe. And if ever this fight would materialized, this one is good to be honest, both has power, both has been drained at 135 lbs when they fought Tank Davis, so at 140 lbs and fully rehydrated, there will be a lot of fireworks and power in this fight. We've seen that Rolly is vulnerable to left hook, while Ryan's weaknesses is his body. So very interesting clash of styles, so hopefully we can see this fight later this year if everyone is really on board on pushing this one.

I smell that Ryan Garcia is just bluffing. But in Romero's case, it makes sense since he might not be able to hold the belt against the real contenders of the division. Garcia just came from a KO defeat so it's like an easier defense but financially big. But unless I can hear from Oscar De La Hoya, Garcia is just talking so people would see that he is not scared of Romero. But maybe this is doable if Garcia is really, serious. Both seem weak in the division but very popular so it is beneficial for both of them. And Garcia may not be able to get another title shot if Romero losses the belt to someone really good.

But there's also the promotional and network that both camps need to address. It is obvious that Garcia is the bigger name so I wonder if PBC and Showtime will allow GBP and DAZN to the event so the fight will go on. Just like when GBP and DAZN allowed them during the Tank-Garcia fight.

What we are witnessing from Garcia is just trying to re-live his hype so that when the comes that he will fight, he will always have some people who will support him because even if we say that he not doing any good in defense, he is still a talented boxer because of his left fist that could potentially defeat any KO directly if they will receive that punch neat and clean. For now, this kid is just trying to be relevant after what happened to him, and I don't really think that he is already that ready to fight someone.

Miami Heat +2.5 @ 2.05 vs Boston Celtics

Game 7 na, do or die sa parehong kupunan. Naku napaka exciting tong laro na 'to.

Quote

1670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 29, 2023, 07:45:25 PM
I seriously did not see this coming, every game I say that Heat will win this time, first it was sweep, then I said 5th game, now I said 6th game and was wrong, well it's about to be 7th game and I wonder what's going to happen. I can't wait to see this because it would be worlds first ever 3-0 comeback and that has a nice ring to it, wouldn't mind it at all.

I think I am going to bet on Celtics, I bet on Heat so far so long and lost, and I think it is obvious that Heat is losing this due to not having enough confidence in themselves and Celtics has a huge momentum. Obviously Heat had momentum of 3-0 as well, and they lost, so Celtics does have the exact same 3 in a row momentum as well and maybe they will lose too? Hmm.. maybe I will refrain from betting this one and just watch as a fan of the game.

A tough match to bet, both teams will do anything to win this match. On the one hand, there is the demoralization of the Miami Heat, but on the other hand, there is the Boston Celtics, who want to achieve an unprecedented success in history. Their motivation is quite high and they are very close to winning this series.
I would love for Butler to win this series, but I don't think that's going to happen. I'm looking forward to the match Smiley

It will be a big disappointment and an embarrassment for the Miami Heat if they will fail to win this time, there are just too many games that they have wasted when they could've already fought their way to finish the series but they cannot just force it because the Celtics has been giving them a tough job in completing what is needed. Hence why we have come to Game 7 that will happen some time later. It will be a very tight game for sure as neither one of them is willing to give a huge gap, and I'm looking forward to see a low scoring game as well.

It was a tough job indeed for the Miami Heat, that is why they failed to finish the series much earlier after having the 3-0 lead and which they blew afterwards. The way I see it, the Miami Heat already picked some lessons on their three straight defeats and as we can see in Game 6, if the Celtics wasn't that lucky to shoot the ball in just a matter of split seconds, the series could have had already ended by this time. That said, I'm looking forward for the Heat to finish what they have started.
1671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 29, 2023, 06:20:48 PM
Anyway, we have to get over that and just see if the Miami Heat could turn the tides in TD Garden. I believe Jimmy Butler should play like how he was in that last quarter of Game 6. Aggressive, attack the paint, try to get some foul as early as he can, and corner the Celtics by putting them in foul trouble. That is where he is good at so he better be in a position where he will get most of his score from the stripe.

Boston Celtics versus Miami Heat‍ - Miami Heat ML
Over 201.5

Good luck guys and enjoy the game later.  Wink

They could talk about it and all, but the thing is, they already lost the game and there is nothing they could do as I think it was already agreed before they even moved the clock as it will be a big misunderstanding it they will just move it without consulting somebody about it. So anyway, this will be a do or die game for the both teams and honestly, I definitely did not expect that Game 7 will be much needed in this series especially after the Heat had a 3-0 lead but they blew their chance of, and here they are, fighting for their survival.

For my bet, I will be leaning on the Miami Heat @ 3.60 to win the game and I'll be adding some little handicap of Heat +6.5 @ 2.12, just in-case it will be needed.

Good luck mga kabayan!

Good luck kabayan!
1673  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US default a reality? on: May 29, 2023, 12:21:58 PM
Default in such a large country is impossible, it has many allies and creditors who will help prevent this. A lot of things revolve around the United States, and such a default takes place only if it is, as you wrote, technical. In fact, it doesn't mean anything and it doesn't make sense to move from place to place and so on.

I'm already expecting to read some statements like this. Although it is indeed hard to imagine that USA, a powerful country, will undergo such default but being a large country with lots of allies and creditors will certainly not help them prevent it from happening or at least cannot help the USA in this instance. Since the USA reached its debt-ceiling, I think it is already safe to assume the likelihood of having a default due to their present situation plus there's the move from China and Russia of using the Chinese Yuan in purchasing Petrol which could put some fuel to the fire in-relation of the current situation of the USA.
1674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be pulled by the hype of meme coins on: May 29, 2023, 11:48:26 AM
The potential of meme coin came to limelight after Elon Musk got involved in dogecoin. This brought about a new dawn to the possibility of meme coin and resulted in several developers coming out with their version of meme coin. Shiba inu was another successful meme coin to get the support of the community, but as it stands the era of meme coin is fast fading away and it's not advisable to keep investing in meme coin.

Well, truth is, even before Elon Musk emerge of being vocal about his Doge investments, people especially investors with little less knowledge or even the knowledgeable ones are already looking forward in investing towards these coins because of the big profits that it could possibly bring into their pockets, although speaking with big profits, we are also talking about big risks as these two will always share the table. Hence why investing towards these coins is not really advisable because the risks aren't really worth it.
1675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 28, 2023, 08:32:01 PM
This is for Filipino boxing fans in this forum.

Tomorrow, PH time, Melvin Jerusalem will make his first WBO minimumweight title against Puerto Rican Oscar Collazo.

What makes this fight interesting is that Jerusalem is placed as the underdog against Collazo, who by the way has only six fights as a pro boxer. On the interview, Jerusalem said that he is motivated by the underdog tag and I'll bite that  Grin, so I'm placing a bet for him ML @3.51. Hope he will retain the crown and continue the streak of upsets done by Filipino boxers.

Unfortunately, I have to be the breaker of this sad news, but Melvin Jerusalem lost the fight as he was stop in the 7th rounds by Collazo. Melvin did start great in the first four rounds, but it seems that Collazo is just taking his time and trying to read Melvin early.

As it become move evident that Collazo is the more powerful puncher between the two and for 3 1/2 rounds he started to battered our very own Melvin. And as tough as he is, Jerusalem says "no mas".

Well, at least our very own Melvin tried his best in defending his belt against the challenger but his time has come to give up his precious belt for the meantime but I think he will try to bounce back next time if he will have the chance to repeat the process. Overall, that is his 3rd defeat in his career but he's still young enough to do more fights and possibly be a champion again. Hopefully next time, fate will be on his side.
1676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: May 28, 2023, 07:32:34 PM

Depending of the outcome because if it's already clear enough that one party has been dominating the opposite party, then maybe a rematch wouldn't be needed unless of course if there is still a hype surrounding them afterwards because that will be factor that will be looked by the promoters and organizers to push through a fight.

Anyway, let's just focus first in their first fight because we've waited this for months and months, and a rematch might look a bit blurry as of the moment knowing that it's another discussion between both camps that will go back and forth and possibly, worth a couple of months again before these two camps will agree.

Rematch will be useless in the eyes of the promoters and the boxing community if one fighter totally dominated the other fighter, for high level like these two its good to have a rematch but will totally depend on the outcome of the first match and how attractive it is to go for a rematch.
if the fight is too close they can still go for it and we'll have another hype like the first fight if the fight ended by total domination of another fighter the dominant fighter can opt for a higher take of the purse on the rematch.
So much speculation on the rematch but what we really want is to get this one over and hopefully, we'll enjoy it and live up to its hype, and be worth the spectators' money.

A rematch clause is just written on their contract if in-case such incidents will happen where the bout is close enough and the defeated side still got a chance to make a difference on their next fight, hence the name. But if there will be no clause like the one that is mentioned, then it will be useless to do a rematch even if the bout will come out so close because in most cases, the winning side will just proceed in the next phase of their career and declining about the possible rematch as they have the right to decline anything that is not written in the contract.
1677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 28, 2023, 07:01:14 PM
I would say that Celtics got lucky on this one, they are on the brink of being eliminated as the Heat made a massive comeback and then Marcus Smart missed that shot.

But who wouldn't think that the ball falls on the hand of White at the right time and was able to put it back. Very sad lost for the Heat and now they are going to go on a hostile Boston Garden and I now I'm thinking that the Celtics could be on the verge of making a history as the first team to make a comeback from 0-3 deficit. And unfortunately for us who bet on the Heat at ML when we thought of cashing it out already.
It was a dramatic end as that buzzer beater follow up is really something that you can't imagine after that long shot from smart.

I was under the impression that Heat will secure the rebound and make sure to tap it away from any Boston players.
or secure and get that offensive rebound to win the game, but Boston is really lucky as they manage to have that
chance to follow up the ball and win the game. Game 7 now for these series anyone can win and take the ECF title
a do-or-die finale.

This is it. The game has reached Game 7, and Boston could make history if they win. Regarding the betting odds, it's evident that Boston is heavily favored to win. However, I have a feeling that the Heat will not give up easily. They have already won twice, and Game 6 was very close. So even though Boston is the heavy favorite, I wouldn't mind betting on the Heat with significantly favorable moneyline odds.

BETTING ODDS FOR GAME 7
Boston 1.27
Miami 3.95

I think I'm just gonna lean heavy on the under.  Both teams will be tight and the game will be a drag out possession type game.  Can see this one ending under 200 honestly.  Odds aren't good enough to take the Celtics not worth the ML they are offering.  Will see as Monday comes but for now I like the under.

I was lucky enough to bet on the handicap in favor of the Miami Heat, although they did not win the game, their score helped my bet to cross the line. Oh boy! That was the most thrilling game in this post season and if it wasn't because of White, the Celtics could have already rested right now but he was the reason why the franchise managed to force another game and it will be played in their homecourt.

Current money line is enticing enough but it's still too early to make a bet, I'll try to make some before the game will commence or even do a live bet in Game 7. Congratulations to all who trusted the Celtics!
1678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: May 28, 2023, 06:04:18 PM

By now the injury must have been dealt already and overtime its already cured. If its not the fist that's broken, it wouldn't be a big deal in the fight. Inoue is not old yet, there is no way he can't get used to the weight after few months.

One more advantage with this fight is that Fulton vs Inoue fight will be held in Japan. He'll do his best to impress his fellow country men to give them an spectacular KO.

On paper, it seems that almost all advantages are pointing towards Naoya Inoue, leaving the current 2-belt champion, Steph Fulton, as the underdog in their upcoming bout.

Personally, I cannot really bring myself to oppose whatever is laid in-front of us now and favor the champion because even if Inoue is just the challenger here in Fulton's division and this is his first fight at 122, it's just real hard to go for the opposite way and bet against the crowd favorite.

It might be hard to think about the possible outcome for now because I also don't want to underestimate Fulton, but in this instance, I will go with the Japanese monster.
1679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 28, 2023, 05:27:48 PM
So if we are to based on Haney's tweets, he did not actually re-sign with Top Rank. And with this version of old Bob Arum not careful with his words once again, an affected Haney might really return to Eddie Hearn once again. DAZN has the deeper pockets over ESPN should it won't be surprising if Haney joins Matchroom again.

Haney's camp are being open about their struggle to make the weight. Loma was part of his contract with Top Rank so Haney will definitely move up in weight with or without Top Rank. Top Rank already offered Haney earlier the winner of WBO champion Josh Taylor and Teofimo Lopez while Matchroom offered WBC champion Regis Prograis. The only reason I can see Haney remaining in the division is a fight with Tank Davis which I believe is too difficult to make. PBC only picks weaker opponents for its bigger star.

The WBC retained Loma as its #1. Although what happened in the fight will only make Loma's ranking higher if he is not #1 since he actually won the fight, only that he lost to the judges' scorecards. If Haney moves up in weight then the WBA regular holder Tank Davis will automatically become the WBA Super champion. Loma is most likely #1 by the WBC, IBF, and WBO so he can choose any of the belts. Top Rank can make a double-header for Loma and Shakur before they unify their belts. But it will be very hard for the 4 belts to get unified again. Tank Davis will only fight Loma maybe 2 years from now when he depreciates big time but he will never fight a prime Shakur Stevenson.

This scenario is actually not that far from happening and I'd say that this is the nearest scenario that could happen. Devin Haney and his camp sheltering under Eddie Hearn's umbrella is very possible because if he did not re-sign under Bob Arum then that is already a sign that he's no longer going back under Tank Rank and will see his future fight under DAZN Matchroom.

And for Haney's future fights, Tank Davis seems almost impossible to do for now given that he (Haney) doesn't have enough time left in his present weight class. So I think his last foe will be Shakur Stevenson, which is the nearest, but if that will not happen as well, then we might see Haney fighting in the next weight class and possibly facing the WBC champion, Regis Prograis.

Hard to play in a pressure game but Heat should think that they are not ahead of the series but instead, consider the next game as a do-or-die game for them.

That should be the mentality indeed. Avoiding another loss and the added pressure of traveling to Boston for a Game 7 would be crucial for the Heat. It's important for them to stay focused and give it their all in Game 6. Jimmy Butler has often been the X-factor for the team, and if he performs at his usual level and Miami's 3-point shooting remains consistent, it could lead to an exciting and victorious game in Miami. Let's hope for a fantastic performance from the Heat, and perhaps we'll see balloons drop in celebration.

Yes, it all boils down on Jimmy's performance in this game, for the Miami Heat to clinch or go to Boston Garden to fight a game 7, but it's going to be very hard to do that.

So pressure for Jimmy right now, but we will see if he will responded by like having a 50 point performance to seal the win for them. For me it's a hard matchup for the Boston, so Butler might explode again in this game.

Bam as well for me will be the other player that needs to step up and if they don't want to lose this finals.

It will be over for the Miami Heat if they will wait until Game 7 will happen because that game will be played in Celtics house, which mean that the home team will have the much-needed advantage and I know that the Heat doesn't want that, so they better play wisely later because the Celtics have already proved in front of their face that they can control and dominate the game if the Heat will lose their rhythm. So, it's gotta be fine as wine or else the Boston will take it towards their house.
