1661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: April 04, 2017, 09:21:19 PM
Gambling is not wrong for gamblers but for some players who are quitting it is worthless. Gamblers are risk takers because they know they can afford their lose so most of them are rich people. So for those who are poor, think many times before engaging on gamble games because it can make them more poor.
You are right man, I started to think that gambling is not for poor peoples, Or maybe it's too risky for them, because if their financial situation is too bad, they can make it worst by doing gambling. so i don't advise them to gamble, of course there is a chance to win a big amount but the problem is too risky.
Rich people, they can do gambling every day. gambling can't affect to much there Financial situation.

Honestly, gambling is for everyone, that is why there are games where we can bet a small amount.  And with the creation of Bitcoin, we can even bet less than 1 cent in different online Casino.  For me the reference if gambling is for only rich people or not is the minimum amount that a person can wager.  And it can affect rich people too if these rich gamblers fail to manage their bankroll.

Thank you for your reply

Your Bitcoin is in the middle of the transfer, due to the low transaction fee, no miners are interested to accept it and put it on the next block that they will mine.  Unless you push it thru Viabtc accelerator or any other transaction accelerator  and be confirmed, it will stay in a limbo for sometime before going back to the source address.    Anyway, I guess it will be confirmed you just need to wait.
1663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Erik Voorhees: SegWit should be activated on: April 04, 2017, 08:35:42 PM
Too bad, neither SegWit nor Unlimited will reach their target support %.
I could see BU reaching 51% though, where if they forked at that point, it wouldn't be anything out of the ordinary.
BU was looking good about 2 weeks ago, after the antpool news. Since then they lost some support and slowed down, they won't win unless they persuade (pay?) another big pool to join their cause.
I think SegWit is a good option, much better and than BU and it wouldn't divide the community as much as BU would.

segwit would divide the community. but while you are in the cesspit of pruned no witness nodes being reliant on upper tier blockstream nodes, you will be told to go back to sleep and everything is alright

I guess any implementation will divide the community.  May it be Segwit by BCore or Bigger Block size by BU.  I cannot see any solution that will not split the community the way I see the reaction of individual.  Though I hope if ever BC's segwit or BU's larger block size is implemented, would have a minimal negative effect to Bitcoin in its entirety.
1664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What keeps you coming back??? on: April 03, 2017, 08:32:28 PM

Yes it is their addictive personality and their fool mind that they make a trap for themselves in a way that they run after money in gambling and do not want to accept their lose. While those who accept that gambling are games and some will lose and some will win then they do not run after their lost money and gambling is a better way to remain secure.

Some people are different from the other and also if you accept it as a game , that doesnt mean that you will not be coming back and play again. I treat it as a game however I do come back regularly to play and I dont see it as a wrong thing to do. I only wager small amount so it doesnt really matter if I win or lose

Treating gambling as a game to entertain will certainly make you come back if it keeps you entertain.  Setting addiction aside, the reason why people keep on coming back to play gambling game because it give them a chance to win, and people are hoping to win one day and get rich.
1665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: April 03, 2017, 07:45:55 PM
There are people who got addicted on gambling. I known a person here in our town who is really addict, he do playing everyday start just for a pastime but later on he is already affecting the live of others. Gambling makes addicting because of the fun it gives, he don't have much problem in money and he don't have to work.

Ahahah, everyone you say does have the possibility of being correct. But all you see are not fully owned by most of the addicts in gambling. For those who get addicted in gambling is far more spent a lot of money just to satisfy their ambitions and want to get a big advantage, indeed it can be done but 99% of people that do it wrong in taking a step. They tend to do less or just relying on appetite than their mind

to me i think it is because that to most of the people gambling look like as in easy way of making money, as in most of gambling formats you you do not need for any skill or experience and you totally depend on your luck, where yo do no need to work hard.

We do need experience and skill even if gambling is believed to be a game of chance (not luck).  First we need experience on how to control our bankroll.  Experienced gambler can make their small bankroll last more than those  novice who have more bankroll, and even making profit out of their small bankroll.  In games like poker, blackjack, or any strategy games, player need skill to outwit their opponent.  So who say gambling does not need experience and skill?  Novice do.

Honestly even if I do not gambling often,  I believe that skill and experience is need on everything, gambling included.  If we failed to acquire these two, experience and skill, we will lose to the house more often than not.

I also agree that the chance of winning is a motivation to play gambling and it was a noob of me to just realized it recently.
1666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: RIP Bitcoin, better luck next time on: April 03, 2017, 07:17:39 PM
I have read several times here that claiming bitcoin is dead. As what you can observe, bitcoin is continuosly growing each day. It become adopts by many usually because of its fluctuating price. The demand is high, the massive adoption has been increased indeed. So, I can say bitcoin is really alive to its finest.
As I write this, Bitcoin is selling at  $1135.25 after having going down well below $1000 couple of days ago, is that the sign of something that is dead or even dying? For how long would some people remain blind to the fact that Bitcoin no army can stop an idea, whose time has come. All the stumbling blocks won't stop Bitcoin, if anything they would make it more resilient.

For those who are here in the Bitcoin world and saying that Bitcoin will be dead, please take your leave from here.
There were many people and there were many RIP moments for Bitcoin in the past but I don't think Bitcoin will die anytime sooner. It's growth is tremendous and more people are coming into Bitcoin than people who are complaining.

You can just ignore them Smiley they are just FUDSters that wanted to take bitcoin away from your hands in a very low price.  Their tactics which is proven that had been effective to those who are trading emotionally.  Because if they really hate Bitcoin or does not like it, they would have gone in this forum and won't bother to post anything related to Bitcoin.
1667  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin benefit of saving for a long time? on: April 02, 2017, 10:21:31 PM
I think that just keeping bitcoin for a long time now is the wisest act. The price fluctuates very much, so it's better to wait for a significant price increase. And it can only happen in a few years

If you don't want to take any risky of investing it anywhere then its best to save your bitcoins for future by keeping them safe in your wallet as price is tend to rise in long term but make sure that you manage to hold enough amount of bitcoins as lower amount will not give you higher benefits.

I agree, it would be better to accumulate Bitcoin and save it than buy and save without accumulating Bitcoin.  It is the accumulation that will make you maximize the benefits of Bitcoin price increase, though you should also set a plan on when you will stop accumulating Bitcoin and just keep the one you bought .
1668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do I heed to do something with my coins before and if there is a fork? on: April 02, 2017, 09:24:22 PM
You could do what I did. Sell every coin you have and wait until the community gets their heads out of their asses then buy them back later, maybe.

it doesn't make sense to sell, in no case you will lose your coins, at best they get more value because out of both chain, BU itself is not going to destroy bitcoin, only moron panic dump will

therefore there is nothing to do for the average joe that want to be safe with his bitcoin, and the exchange were clear about listing BU as an altcoin, this is another point in favor of doing nothing

Problem in what QA said is that, what if the price goes up after he sold his coin.  Then he have to rebuy it at higher price?  I would listen to what Amph said, Ill just keep it in a wallet where I have access on its private key and if ever a HF happen and chainsplit occur then I have my coins at both chain and that is a bonus for me Smiley.
1669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I think the potential for Bitcoin is ONLY JUST BEGINNING. on: April 02, 2017, 09:12:57 PM
Segwit only solves the problem temporarily...There has been yet a good proposal to scale bitcoin longterm.

Segwit can enable other updates to Bitcoin, so probably it is the start of Bitcoin scaling.  Increasing blocksize will only solve the problem temporarily until network is congested again and needs to increase again which result in hardfork after hardfork.

1670  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait? on: March 29, 2017, 09:13:08 PM
I can say wait!  Hold your bitcoin for 5 years and you will see a significant increase in price of Bitcoin. I am confident that bitcoin will increase in price for a long time.  Selling it at the current dip is a very wrong move.  You can have more price value if you learn how to wait patiently.
1671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins with a solid team support on: March 29, 2017, 09:07:35 PM
As you see today, most of the newly released altcoins are just scam coins.Which of the new altcoins do you think are legit and have a solid team support in background?

There are quite alot of coins that have serious support from the dev.  To name some,  Ethereum, Dash, Monero, WBB, Litecoin and a lot more.   These coins are so serious that they had their github too active.   Just pick one from the list and you will have an altcoin that have lots of supportsfrom  its developer.
1672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🔴 ICOBID PLATFORM RELEASED 🌟🔴 GREAT REWARD 🌟🔴 HOLDING FOR REVENUE SHARE on: March 29, 2017, 09:02:20 PM
I think BITTREX more real than polonieux...  More simple -  TRADESATOSHI ...

I guess i have to agree with you, it is better to add in a smaller exchange when the market is not that big enough.  Tradsatoshi would be a good add on exchange.  But I have not traded in this trading platform yet so I do not know how active that trading site is  and how it will help ICOBID in terms of exposure.
1673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no competition on: March 29, 2017, 08:45:56 PM
I think altcoins are the one that should be considered as competitor of Bitcoin.  But alas, it seems Bitcoin is a mile up ahead agains this altcoin competitor.  they may have the technology bu Bitcoin have the base users.  that alon can dictate on which one will be successful compared to other cryptocurrency.
1674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Minexcoin - A new era of payments on: March 29, 2017, 08:18:53 PM
This looks interesting but I have some questions here.  I read that  one of the plan of this project is to have a low volatility (fluctuation) of the price of your coin.  How will you manage that if you are about to release it in an open market?  I am quite curious on how you will do it.
1675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen with Bitcoin if it never scales? on: March 29, 2017, 07:15:35 PM
Bitcoin will be forgotten.  That will probably will happen if Bitcoin never scales.  No one will use an obsolete currency specially the kind of currency where bitcoin belongs depends on the technology and scalability.

What do you think that might happen with Bitcoin if no scalable solution becomes accepted?

Will it remain as a store of value, while other altcoins take the lead for everyday transactions? Or will another cryptocurrency take its place as the top in marketcap?
-> Probably bitcoin will no longer be used for micro transactions but it can remain as valuable assets. Actually most of the people are buying bitcoin as investment rather than to use in their daily life, so new money may keep on pouring causing pump on price in future too.

Something that ceased to update/upgrade will never be valuable in technology, they will become obsolete and forgotten.
1676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin progress in 2017 on: March 29, 2017, 10:53:01 AM
Great work op highlighting the achievement bitcoin has made over the years, and great to know that
bitcoin have been making progress each year it just shows that bitcoin is still on the rise.

most important is that with the current situation that bitcoin faces it is nice to see a good
new especially with this dilemma over Bitcoin and Bu.

It is true even with the recent FUD ( I called them FUD because they are just creating some uncertainty over the matter that has not yet happening)  many people are putting their savings ang faith to Bitcoin.  And if ever a split is created, we should be happy because with the lowered price came the two chain with our Bitcoins in it.  So that is double our amount of coins.
1677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin saving on: March 29, 2017, 09:57:13 AM
Is anyone in here familiar with the 52 weeks money challenge?
Since it is new year I've decided to take that challenge as a refresher and to try if I can save money using that pattern.
Question now is do you think saving with bitcoin will work? I you are familiar with the 52 week challenge it is where your daily deposit in your saving will have an increament of which amount you started in week one. Since bitcoin is so volatile do you think i'll save more if it is in fiat or in bitcoin?

I believe saving with bitcoin will work in that 52 week challenge.  Forget about saving fiat currency since it is destined to depreciate.  With Bitcoin there is an option for you to appreciate or even double in figure if it performs well in the market.  Even with this blocksize debate, peopel will get used to it and eventually focus on the good thing of Bitcoin.
1678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I think the potential of BTC is over on: March 29, 2017, 08:59:32 AM
In the future,BITCCOIN Will also continue in the position of the virtual currency system Ranked first?

Although most of the virtual currency acquired from BTC the original design, but the virtual currency would significantly more than BTC development.

The intelligence of the ETH contract, for example, the DASH of pos node development are far more than BTC

And BTC is now facing a simple Blockchain congestion problem

In the future, all kinds of virtual currencies rise, BTC will in no. 1?

Please friendly to your comments.

I said the wrong place please correct me

My English is not very good, I'm sorry Smiley

You make good points.  Bitcoin still has potential because it is the first mover, but it is quickly losing ground to competitors.  I feel a lot of people here are in deep denial about what is really happening, but I am still hopeful.

We have competent dev in Bitcoin, definitely they will come to their senses else if their only objective is to destroy Bitcoin then the doomsday cannot be stopped.  I am also hopeful that this  political conflict will come to an end and let Bitcoin move forward.  I believe that if this two (BU and BC} come into terms no one can stop Bitcoin to continuously rule the cryptocurrency.
1679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ANY STRATEGY TO WIN IN GAMBLING? on: March 28, 2017, 11:52:06 PM
Your asking for an impossible method dude. Its called gambling(GAMBLE) which means risk, so there are only two options either win or lose.

but if we can maintain when we are playing gambling, i think we can have strategy that could make us to win in gambling games. but still its small chance for us to win the games. as long as we can controlled our games then we can trying to make simple strategy that will help us to win in gambling.

I don't know what we need to maintain to have a strategy since you are missing some word there.  Though I always believe that right timing on quitting while winning is the best strategy to bag a winnings.  If we keep on playing while we are winning there maybe a possibility to lose our winning and even our bankroll.
1680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It is not worth it, right? on: March 28, 2017, 10:08:34 PM
Many people here are asking "How gambling can benefits us by winning" on it using strategy like Martingale, or pure luck when we are playing DICE?
But I'm just wondering when do people will realize that gambling can never be the one that could benefits us, because the truth is, we could lose the thing that we can't lose to afford before we could be benefited by gambling.

Just don't gambling seriously and you'll be fine. But if you are that type of gambler that always sees that it can benefit us then you'll meet your end very soon. And it's up to the gambler if he wants to gambler what he cannot afford to lose, that type of gambler is the confident gambler which thinks that he'll benefit from it.

But there are those gamblers who are willing to put everything in the line just so to win but lose anyway. They already know the risk but they still go and try their luck, to the point that they lose and not benefiting them. Or let say, you gamble and experience a loosing streak your expectation in the roll of a dice is to lose again, but suddenly you win, you feel happier even though if you sum it up and the end you still loses.

They can afford to lose everything just for the sake of gambling.  This kind of people are aiming for a one time bigtime in gambling. Probably lazy people who wants to earn money the easiest way even if they have to compromise everything.  It is a sad reality in life.
