1661  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-06-04] Analytical Firm Calls Bitcoin "King of the Assets Class Hill" on: June 07, 2019, 03:41:40 AM

Things are looking rosy and excited for bitcoin and even other top alts, that is if you take an eye bird's view of the whole digital asset industry. I am sure that this analysis has not failed to attract many fund managers and that is why even with the current dip things are still so positive with bitcoin in comparison with other investment vehicles like gold, stocks, oil and other commodities.
1662  Bitcoin / Press / [2019-06-06] FOMO Fueled May’s Rally on: June 07, 2019, 03:24:22 AM

Bitcoin (BTC) and ether (ETH) are trending down slightly following the slump from the recent rally. Top cryptocurrencies are seeing a mix of ups and downs, according to data from Coin360.

After its surge to $9,000 last week, BTC is down by 1.67% on the day, and is trading at just $7,676 according to CoinMarketCap. The leading cryptocurrency has fallen in market capitalization by about $10 billion since May 30, with a market cap of approximately $136 billion at press time.

Investment advisory group San Francisco Open Exchange (SFOX) released a volatility report on June 6, saying that the crypto market has transitioned from “mildly bullish” to “uncertain.” SFOX cautioned that the bullish growth in May could have been unsustainable growth due to investor FOMO (fear of missing out).

Further Read: https://cointelegraph.com/news/major-coins-see-red-following-reports-that-fomo-fueled-mays-rally

I am actually not anymore surprise with this assessment because FOMO has always been there as far as cryptocurrency is concerned. People are greedy and we don't want to be left out with a good opportunity to earn some hard cash -- a big reality whether you are into bitcoin, gold, stocks or anything that is presented as a way to gain something. So what is new?

Should we then conclude that bitcoin is now facing a bleak future just because the rise has been only because of FOMO?

1663  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [06-07-2019] GateHub hacked, nearly $10 million has been stolen on: June 07, 2019, 03:08:26 AM
I am always sad to see another cryptocurrency exchange become a victim of the hackers as this can surely undermine the trust and confidence of the users to many platforms in this industry. People are surely thinking how safe are their coins and tokens with the exchange they are using. As what I said, the Binance hack was not the first nor will be the last. How long will this phenomenon be occurring? Nobody has the answer as this scourge many consider to be the main risk that an exchange is facing all days all nights. What is more alarming is that hackers are now using more sophisticated way of getting in where detection can be difficult...the hackers are evolving that is why I consider them two steps ahead of the game...

Let's hope that GateHub has set-up an emergency fund to cover the loss of innocent users -- similar to what Binance has which should now be the standard in the industry, if I may add. By the way, beautiful looking diagram, though it is deadly.
1664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: looking for a legit outlet that I can purchase Litecoins with Bitcoins on: June 07, 2019, 02:57:35 AM

There are still some cryptocurrency exchanges that don't generally require KYC or they allow you to do business up to a certain extent without the need for KYC. I am sure that Binance still is under this category but with a limit. You can also take a look at Mercatox popular the Russia-based exchange. I am sharing with you here links for further discussion of the matter:

1665  Economy / Speculation / Re: How to know Feb 7 was the optimal buy point 2019. on: June 07, 2019, 02:40:04 AM

The current fundamentals to BTC , BCH, ETH, and LTC are available. Trading without knowing the fundamentals and risk is like flying without an altimeter. Don't be a fool, know your risk.

I am impressed with this analysis and data presented on your site. Indeed, this can help for us who are into bitcoin so that we can ascertain where is the floor price against the actual coin price. Interestingly, when the coin price is below the actual price miners would be participating in the market buying more bitcoin so these people are themselves playing with the market this way. I am not good with technical terms and understanding with cryptocurrency so this guide can be of big help to widen my knowledge. Thanks for sharing, Aaron.
1666  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Decentralize on: June 07, 2019, 02:04:03 AM

Why we need to prefer decentralized exchange and decentralized products?

Okay, this is one of the basic but very important question when dealing with things like the exchanges and even the blockchain, cryptocurrency and bitcoin. So why are preaching the good news of decentralization away from the centralized controls of many institutions traditionally serving the society? One thing is control...with centralization we are at the mercy at the powers holding the key to the centralized platform. Of course, the best example of this is the government and the many financial firms holding the sway and influence of our economy and money. With centralization, we are ceding the power on our hands and hand it to people whom we don't know much. With decentralization, there is no single entity or an elite group that's controlling the deciding power. Now, you decide, whether decentralization is for you or you still prefer the centralized set-up of things.
1667  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I am in need of a legit Bitcoin tumbler similar to Bit Blender on: June 07, 2019, 01:27:03 AM
HI As I am sure you all are aware Bit Blender is shutting down. Can anyone refer me to a similar one. That is easy to use. and provides a bitcoin
address to have the funds transfer to, then mixed, then to withdraw???
Someone referred Bitcoin Cloak, but I don't see where they provide a bitcoin address to have the funds transferred to the site, to begin with.
I need your help!!! I hope to hear from someone fairly soon.  I have heard that LE are setting up some mixing sites. Don't refer those lol!!!

Have you tried ChipMixer yet? I had a good experience with them way back in 2017 when I was dealing in buy and sell of bitcoin for a client somewhere in Europe, the site and service are excellent though this is my own personal point of view. Just try them.
1668  Other / Off-topic / Re: Good food experiences "place to share some places etc" on: June 06, 2019, 03:25:46 PM

All of this was top class imo and I would surely do it again, also the wine pairing, personal, chef cock etc all was PERFECT!

Of-course this isn't the type of resto on a weekly, so feel free and share whatever kind of resto experience you would like from very normal, standard towards high class .... really whatever.

Hope nobody is hungry by this post, surely i'm getting hungry again Roll Eyes Cheesy

And you expect us not to be hungry with the beautiful dishes laid down before my eyes, that is digitally? Those are amazing foods and they are artfully done and presented...who can resist those offerings. This must be a great restaurant...what with Michelin brand of approval!

Belated happy birthday to you and may you have 100 more years to enjoy life, foods and cryptocurrency.

By the way, are they accepting bitcoin?
1669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PARTICIPATING IN IEO AFTER IT HAS BEEN CONCLUDED. on: June 06, 2019, 03:09:36 PM
I have often seen so many projects get sold out immediately after they are being launched on IEO launchpads like that of Binance, and ever since i have been hearing of IEO, i have never for once succeeded in making any contribution, so does it mean that once an IEO gets sold out, investors can never invest in the token again? or how does it work please?

After the IEO of a certain project has concluded, mostly likely you can buy the tokens or coins at the exchange where it is held. But we know that the possible return on investment (ROI) or gains may not be the same compared to those who bought them during the IEO. With Binance's latest offering the Harmony (ONE) project, it was done in a lottery so it is not easy to enter but afterwards the coins are traded in Binance. Just make sure that you are not American citizen otherwise you are disqualified.
1670  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-06-06] Traders Wager On Bitcoin Hitting $50,000 Soon on: June 06, 2019, 02:48:22 PM

Fortunately, some trades are optimistic about the direction of the most valued cryptocurrency, bitcoin. In a recent report by WSJ, it shows some sizable numbers of traders wagering over bitcoin’s price.

These traders are just following the trend right now but once solid evidence will emerge that bitcoin winter is coming back they can easily change their attitude and stand, I am sure. At any rate, the market remains positive that the current dip will not last for weeks and that bitcoin can soon get back where it left off. Or so we are hoping that way as I hate to be negative for bitcoin...if we were able to wait for more than a year in the winter then there is no reason we can't wait for days.
1671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Token of Future---- XLM, TRX, XRM? Worth holding for long time? on: June 06, 2019, 02:03:28 PM

As I am new to this, not very new but in comparison of all the senior members here..

what's your view on the above tokens?

I have started building my Portfolio....Please suggest some more tokens to be included, apart from BTC and ETH.... ( these two are all time favorite for anyone i guess  Grin)

Those are actually good coins to invest with. I am assuming you have already included ETH in your portfolio so you are not mentioning it here. Okay, I have some XLM and TRX and I am gonna hold them maybe until next year and see if they can use their potential to go upwards. You can also include BNB if you may. There are also many other coins worth taking a look. Just go to CMC for guidance.

1673  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-06-04] Bitcointopia Founder Sentenced To 21 Months In Prison on: June 06, 2019, 01:43:40 PM
21 months is prison is just a joke punishment, the authorities in this way send messages to others, but also to this scammer that these crimes actually can be very profitable at the end. What is clearly visible from the behavior of this person is an obvious intention to continue to deal with fraud, even after he was arrested first time. I'm not familiar with the mode of execution of punishments, but it's possible that he is comes out of prison earlier. I would bet he will continue to do what he was doing before, and now he has some extra time to come up with a better fraud.

Morgan Rockoons is deserving of this punishment and he should have gotten more if I was the judge handling his case. And not because he was doing an exchange business but because he scammed people out of their money for non-existing properties. Scamming should have a minimum of 10 years in prison if we are going to send a strong message to many scammers (more are born every day, I guess) all over the country. And this is regardless if one is using bitcoin or fiat money as mode of payment or transfer of money.
1674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin or coins you never gained money with? on: June 06, 2019, 01:31:35 PM

I was thinking, I already did some money with BTC, ETH, XMR and a lot of other coins, but there are a coin I never gained a penny
XRP - Ripple
This coins always tricked me, when I bought a lot of coins, the coin fall in value
After I sold every single coin I have, XRP reached his ATH I never thought it was possible, when XRP hits number 2, only behind BTC
I never bought XRP since this fact  Grin Grin Grin

I am still hodling some Ripple but because I bought them ATH at around $3 yes I never made any money with this psuedo-cryptocurrency. Some are saying that this got enormous potential but considering its circulating supply it can take a lot of demand and adoption before it can get back to the $3 level. I am actually planning to soon dispose of them and convert them to bitcoin (especially now that btc is on dip which is the best time to add more btc).

1676  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-06-05]Former Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpeles to Serve as CTO of New Japanese Blo on: June 06, 2019, 11:54:26 AM
Its their decision on letting this ,an to be the new CTO.I dont know why they do consider out this man if they are fully aware on its past issues.

He is japan where they respect americans and anybody who look like tourists.
He can pretty much blend in there unnoticed. Sad
Truth but it wont happen on the eyes of crypto community in Japan.

Tristan Technologies Co. is making a gamble with Mark Karpeles and let's see if this is really worth it all. i am sure they can see a good potential with the man considering his past experience with MtGox fiasco. Maybe they are thinking that he will instead use his bad experience and big lessons in managing this new platform. Okay, maybe we should give the man another chance to prove himself.
1677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Switzerland - new crypto paradise in Europe? on: June 06, 2019, 11:41:17 AM
Looks like Switzerland is going to overtake Malta as the cryptocurrency bastion in Europe. Thanks to clear, simple, transparent and fair regulations, the number of exchanges which are operating there is still growing (more info here). You think this country has a chance to strongly influence the market with that approach?

I am aware that Switzerland is vying to be the cryptocurrency capital I think not just in Europe but also for the whole world. The regulatory and political environment in this country is getting friendly to many possible fintech companies who dream to relocate or start a business in there. One thing I noticed is that the political leadership of Switzerland is not interfering much with the cryptocurrency industry because they know that since there are already regulations in place then just let the laws be implemented for all players. It would be exciting how Malta and Switzerland are gonna compete with each other for supremacy in the expanding and lucrative cryptocurrency industry. The loss of many countries who remain closed to this development has become the gains of Switzerland.
1678  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-06-06]President of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro: ‘I Do Not Know What Bitcoin Is’ on: June 06, 2019, 11:28:15 AM

The president must be living in the cave for the past 10 years because he never encountered or have read any news regarding bitcoin. And I think it is not just bitcoin that he is not aware of but also the whole of cryptocurrency world. He must not have heard that Venezuela issued its own state-backed cryptocurrency. Brazil's Jair Bolsonaro must be an ignorant man or he just pretended to be. Now, I am wondering if there is a future for cryptocurrency in Brazil taking into consideration that its own president seems not to be in anyway interested with it. Okay, I am really hoping to be wrong.
1679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP News Update: June 5th, 2019 on: June 06, 2019, 10:47:52 AM
Another news today is that a large Thai bank has confirmed it will use XRP in their system. They will update it in the future on their media

This is one of the best news for XRP and can be more important than the published news above. Banks are the targeted market of XRP and if more and more banks will adopt the XRP platform then it can mean a lot to the coin. I am not a big fan of XRP though I am holding some (bought them when the price was around $3) somewhere.
1680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: International University of Europe adapts blockchain for transforming in future on: June 06, 2019, 10:29:09 AM
I've found a university that provide blockchain course - European International University. Could u tell me, if u know what else uni-s provide crypto studying? I guess it'd be smarter firstly to study then adapt crypto market in own life.

The blockchain technology is getting the attention not just by the mainstream media and famous personalities but by many universities as well. Right now, one can already study the blockchain technology as offered by big-named schools.

This is the list of 10+ universities offering various blockchain courses for students interested to gain more knowledge on the said area:
