1701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not believe every crypto news you read online on: December 04, 2022, 08:07:13 PM
When you see a crypto news saying that investors are leaving shiba inu and polygon or avalanche for a new project do not always believe, this is a new way to attract the public investors that have no time to do their own research first.

Almost all news is triggered to manipulate and create a certain movement. If such news appears, it means that someone wants to dump the price or pump it up. In general, there is a lot of information noise in the news environment and it is quite difficult for an inexperienced investor to discern what is true and what is not. People with weak conviction will definitely react to such news, convinced investors will simply ignore such news.

Yeah! It's good that there are so many ways to keep up with the latest developments in crypto, but some of them might not be entirely accurate.

I'm a big fan of cryptocurrencies. I made my first bitcoin purchase years ago, and followed it up with many more success stories through the years despite bitcoin's rollercoaster ride. However, I also see plenty of well-meaning investors getting duped into falling for scams, ICOs that are total fads, and shady exchanges. Even worse, some people take tips from random mediums and lose money because they didn't double-check the information with trusted sources. You must do your own research to be sure that a news source or other advice isn't misleading.

The idea could be very successful, but you need the community to trust it first. I love your initiative to raise some funds for people but only if you can provide a service that is trustworthy and reliable. I'm not sure what the community would think about it, but I hope you get some traction!
1703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Types Of Online Casinos To Avoid.. on: December 03, 2022, 08:04:11 PM
There are literally hundreds of online casinos out there, spread across the internet in a maze of different affiliate sites and players' forums. Many casinos have been around for years, while others came and went before they could even be fully reviewed. In any case, there are simply too many to be able to keep track of, and many of them are simply not worth your time. Which means the best way to find the best online casino for your needs is to do some research and read reviews from reputable sources. But this is impossible if the casino does not have an online presence or a community on social networks and forums like this one. Just remember not to trust any single review site or player too heavily. It's up to you to research what kinds of things you should look for in a quality online casino - from design, quality of games, promotions, payouts and more - and then take those points into consideration when reading the reviews. It's important to remember that the best way to pick an online casino is to do your research. The internet is full of unreliable information and it can be hard to tell a safe bet from an online casino that you'll never hear from again. If an online casino wants your trust, they need to be more open and make more information available. Only then can you decide whether or not they're right for you.
1704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paper wallet address generator Help on: December 03, 2022, 07:19:08 PM
I have a issue that , how they create Public and private key ? Bitaddress storing our private key and public key? , if any hacker steal servers all will leak?
basically how we can trust the bitaddress?

You don't have to be online to run that code, in fact, you shouldn't run it online. It's best to copy the full webpage to external media (or download from github, as OmegaStarScream suggested) and run it on an air-gapped device.

If you generate a private/public key pair offline, then there is no chance that your keys will be archived on a server. Besides, the code is open source, meaning that anyone can analyze it and understand how it works and what it does.
1705  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 7 Rules for Writing a Good Post Title on: December 03, 2022, 06:35:35 PM
OP, why did you stop at number 7? According to the source you linked, there are two more "rules" that you didn't mention:

Quote
#9: The level of jargon in the title should match the target audience
#10: The title should adhere to your target journal's guidelines

I think you're right that there are some important things to consider when writing a title. However, I think the most important rule for submitting topics here is to make sure that your title clearly and accurately reflects the content of your post. If you're writing for a general audience, it is acceptable to be more creative with your title. But if you're writing for a more specialized audience, like scientific journals, then it makes sense to use more formal language.
1706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 03, 2022, 05:00:07 PM
Full-time:
Netherlands 3-1 USA

M. Depay 10‎'      H. Wright 76‎'
‎D. Blind 45‎+‎1‎'
D. Dumfries 81‎'

The Dutch team has knocked the USA out of the World Cup. The American dream is over.

The Netherlands is through to the quarter-finals. And they are the first team to do so. In a game that wasn't quite as close as the scoreline suggests, the Dutch outclassed their American opponents from start to finish. Although the USA were better on the possession of the ball and created more chances with as many as 17 attempts on goal, the Dutch outwitted and tactically outplayed the Americans and were ruthless in front of goal when they got their chances.
1707  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 LionSlots777.io - Best Slots Casino on: December 03, 2022, 04:54:09 PM
Maybe we should give OP a few more days to fix their website perfectly, and correct the things that should be done for their platform, after all, it's only the third day since he posted the casino he's campaigning on here.

None of the college students enrolled today and then graduated the next day, let's give OP a chance, let's not justify it because nothing starts. Let's just follow it for now after 1 week.

But why? Why should they get a chance? Have you read the thread and what other members have said so far? There is a lot of evidence that this is a shady business and people should stay far away from it. If they have evidence that shows the business is legit, then I would love to see it. But without solid proof, it looks pretty shady and I don’t think anyone should waste their time or money on this casino. But it's really up to you. If you want to give them a chance even after all these red flags, feel free to do so. But I would not recommend it. It looks like their only goal is to take people's money and run.

And as for "fixing" their site, they had plenty of opportunity to do that BEFORE they decided to promote it here. It's difficult to believe that their website just happens to look like a bunch of other scam gambling sites. Or that they accidentally copied the complete Terms of Service from Stake Casino - because it seems unlikely for two companies coming up with identical policies on their own, independently (basically zero chance). The AML policy is also illegal because LionSlots777 has never been licensed as either an online casino or registered company in any way shape or form. If they really cared about fixing their site, they would have done so a long time ago. And if they are legit and want to prove it, then I would love to see some proof of that.

So, I ask you again, why do you think they should get a chance? If you're going to defend shady sites like this one, then that's your choice. But if you're going to make a blanket statement, at least tell us what it's based on.

Let's see if the last 16 starts tomorrow, will there be any surprise results? One thing I do know is that most games will be low-scoring and there will be a lot of games going into overtime.

It's always like that in global competitions like the World Cup. There are always surprising results.
I will tell you one thing, if you want to make some money, always bet on the underdog!  Grin  Grin
1709  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 LionSlots777.io - Best Slots Casino on: December 01, 2022, 11:18:40 PM
Welcome to the forum, LionsSlots7777. I have examined your casino website, and I have some feedback for you. First of all, I noticed that your Terms of Service are copy-pasted from another site. This is not a good idea, because it suggests that you don’t take your business seriously and aren’t willing to put in the effort required to be a successful casino operator. You should change this, because it looks unprofessional and could lead to legal issues down the road. I would recommend that you either write your own Terms of Service or hire someone else to do so for you Also, your website design is very bland and boring. It doesn't stand out from any other casino website that I have seen before, and it looks like you used a ready-made casino script without any customization. This is not a good idea because it makes you look unprofessional and untrustworthy. This is why I don't think that your casino will be successful in the long run. You should consider changing the design of your website, and I recommend that you hire a web designer for this purpose.

Anyway, that's my honest opinion. I hope that you will take it into consideration.
1710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would be an ideal KYC solution? on: December 01, 2022, 10:43:50 PM
The points i want to make here are,

1. If you play with small stakes, KYC is really annoying and likely to make you quit.

2. If you play big and win, the casino will think you are not a true player and ask for KYC.

3. If you want to withdraw the money you won, then why should a casino know your identity? Isn't KYC because of AML laws? What does winning at the casino have to do with money laundering?

4. There should be a cash out threshold in the casino that should trigger the need for KYC.

5. The KYC process itself is time consuming and will go on and on until you say ok enough already and leave this casino forever.

6. The casino will try to make you believe that KYC is a legal requirement, but it's not always the case.

7. Some casinos have no business asking for your identity and should not be allowed to do so. For example, unlicensed and unregulated casinos.
1711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 01, 2022, 05:15:05 PM
many chances for belgium to score in the second half but Lukaku couldn't capitalize on it properly, should have scored it would have helped qualify from group F but unfortunately it was a draw while morocco won against canada

In the end, it was a draw. Both teams had plenty of chances to score, but neither could find the back of the net and we ended up with a tie. Lukaku looks like he's going to cry as he misses two golden opportunities. I feel sorry for him. Croatia survived the group stage, but they will have to be much more aggressive if they want to advance any further.
1712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 01, 2022, 03:58:44 PM
Half-time:
Croatia 0-0 Belgium

Both teams appeared very subdued in the first 45 minutes of the game, as the fate of both nations was riding on this match, with neither team having a shot on target. Belgium seemed determined to play defensively and hit Croatia on the counter, while Croatia tried to keep possession of the ball.

Canada 1-2 Maroko
Hakim Ziyech (4')
Youssef En-Nesyri (23')
Nayef Aguerd (40' OG)

1713  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is Satoshi a Russian? on: November 29, 2022, 10:11:22 PM
This has made me think that Satoshi is a Russian.
<...>

This is a wrong conclusion. The forum activity you have shown refers only to local boards and doesn't include the main forum boards. Do you know how many Americans are active on the forums? Or British, Canadian and Australian members—how many of them post here regularly? Besides, Russia is a very large country with a larger population than many western nations. Have you ever considered that maybe the Russian local board is so active because English isn't as prevalent among Russians? Russians tend to use their native language and the Cyrillic alphabet. Many Russians also speak other languages, but students can choose from different language such as German or French—not necessarily English.

USA win 1-0 and are through to the Round of 16! Definitely a well-deserved win for the USA. The USMNT looked confident on the ball, which is important for a team that has struggled in this World Cup so far. They came out strong and played well in the first half, with a goal from C. Pulisic giving them a 1-0 lead at halftime. The second half was a bit more even, but the USMNT defended well and made some key stops when they needed to. A win is a win, and this one puts the US in great position heading into their next match against Netherlands on Saturday.
1715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn 9-10% APY using USDT and a simple strategy on: November 29, 2022, 07:20:06 PM
Very strange reaction... Why do you think Eonian is centralized? We are building Eonian - a decentralized yield farm. It is purely a smart contract protocol where you can check the code and see that no one except you has access to your money.

For me personally very heartbreaking to see such a position  Sad . We spend months researching all possible hacks and vulnerabilities in smart contract protocols, then designing them in a way that prevents anyone from stealing users' money, multiples times reviewing each line of code and cannot normally sleep while thinking what else can be done to save users which will trust us.

That hardly means anything these days, and there is no such thing as an error-proof code (or smart contract).  Not even audited ones.
If you've done your research, you should know this. But what does that mean? It means that if you've written your code well and audited it thoroughly, there's a good chance your smart contract won't have any bugs. Of course, this doesn't mean that it can't be exploited by a bad actor at any time (and it has been). Take the example of Luna and their supposed algorithmic stablecoin UST. There was no hack, there was no bad code exploit, and yet...

And then I heard that FTX was making whole money management in messenger, and thousands of users were trusting them millions of money Cry . And now you are saying that because of FTX, our project is also bad!

Yes, it's unfortunate what happened to the FTX exchange. However, there is a big difference between a legitimate and regulated financial institution and shady unregulated DeFi projects like yours. So when you make a bold statement like "Investments without risk", who is liable if things go downhill? Who will make investors whole if there is a hack or if you go bust?

If you think that serious investors are willing to take on the risk of your project, you are wrong. If you think that regulators will let DeFi projects like yours operate without a license and proper oversight, you are very wrong.
1716  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to get bitcoins for free? on: November 29, 2022, 06:08:07 PM
Thanks for the recommended sites but based on most of the comments on this thread I think it'll be better if I just dedicate my time and energy on learning about bitcoin first.
I'd still check out the sites though. Thanks.

This is a great attitude to have, and we highly suggest that you take the time to learn a lot about the technology behind Bitcoin. Of course, it's not an easy undertaking, but if you can make it through all of the technical jargon, you'll be well on your way to getting in on the action. Just remember to stay safe! Cryptocurrencies can be very volatile, and there are plenty of ways to get scammed. There are also many people who would love to take advantage of novice investors. Take the time to educate yourself about all of the different scams that are out there and how to avoid them. For example, if you see an ad on Facebook that promises to give away free Bitcoin, don't click it!  Wink
1717  Other / Meta / Re: Russian Local on: November 29, 2022, 04:44:03 PM
once again I am convinced how stupid and indifferent the Western nation is. when Russian bastards come to your house, rape and kill your children and loved ones in front of your eyes, then remember about "freedom of speech" pray to the creature that Ukraine won this war. Otherwise, you all just die!

This kind of comment makes you look like an arrogant hypocrite. First of all, what would be the effect of removing pro-Russian comments from that forum? How would that be a good thing? Would it help Ukraine win the war in any way? It would not. The only thing that removing those comments would achieve is to remove the possibility of discussion. You are trying to silence your opposition - something that dictators and fascists do all the time.

Second, you don't know the people here and what they do outside of this place. Some of them are probably Russian nationalists, but there are also many Ukrainians here and even Westerners who support the Ukrainian cause. I don't think you are in a position to make such judgment calls. So when you declare people "stupid and indifferent" because they don't agree with you, it is not only offensive but also immature and ignorant.

Finally, what gives you the right to dictate what others should say or think? Who appointed you as judge and jury? You have your opinions and they have theirs - that's all there is to it.

1718  Other / Meta / Re: Russian Local on: November 28, 2022, 10:50:43 PM
OP, there is no rule to force you to read posts from people you disagree with or don't care about. If we wanted our forum to be an echo chamber, and not a place where people can post free speech, free thought and free discussion, then it would not exist at all. Now remember that someone has to hold an opposing view in order for there to be a debate in the first place.

I love how this forum can be so friendly and caring at times, while having some really heated discussion as well. You'll never see this in a place where everyone is striving to be politically correct and just won't speak their minds. We all have an opinion on something, no matter what it is and should respect each other enough to share our thoughts rather than always try to find a way to put each other down. Now I am not here to give a nice speech about discourse and how we need to be civil to each other, blah blah blah. I'm a big boy and I can read shitty posts and take them for what they are - opinions of people who I don't care about. So you should also be able to read shitty posts without being offended by them.
1719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 28, 2022, 09:31:07 PM
You guys saw the penalty decision leading to the second goal?

IMO, it was very unfair. The defender did not intentionally touch the ball, heck, he didn't even have any idea where the ball was because he was on his way to the ground. How the hell is someone supposed to land on the grand softly minus putting out their hands?

I disagree with you to some extent. For me, the difference between a handball and not a handball is subtle but important. If his hand was already on the ground, then there's no penalty because there was no movement of hand to ball. However, if his hand was still in the air and the ball hits it, then it's a handball.

However, given the circumstances, I don't think a penalty should have been awarded in this situation. The referee made the correct decision initially, but was forced to change it once he received information from the VAR room. The referee, in this case, had no choice but to award a penalty. And it was obvious that he did it reluctantly.

I agree, we should give them a chance to explain themselves first.

We should play fair here and let this casino have a chance to explain about the accusations and give them a chance to defend themselves. Honestly, I wouldn't play on this casino either, because they are new and there's a chance they are cloning bet365. But I don't think it deserves tagging yet. There's a case with another casino promoted here, Punt.com, which is almost identical a copy of Stake.com casino, but no one has tagged them for that.
