1721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: About people that bought too early [and lost them] on: January 29, 2021, 07:55:41 AM
For someone who has had Bitcoin and forgot the keys would have been looking for a way to recover and access the wallets. Well it's a very frustrating situation, anyone who can't find his wallet details after several trials should just relax and hope some miracles happen if not then learn from it and move on.
Don't blame yourself, did your past self know that the price of bitcoin will be this high? If not then you are regretting about something that you don't have a control with. I do agree that it is frustrating but what can you do, you already lost it right? On the plus side, you are one of the contributors to the increase of the price of bitcoin so give yourself a pat on the back. The worst that you can do is you get obsessed to it and get lost in your way of life that the only thing you are thinking is those lost coins from the yesteryear, unable to move forward and didn't have a chance to turn your life back around. About those people claiming they lost more than 2 digit of bitcoin, I think that they should get their storytelling skills up a notch because some people can easily see through their BS.
1722  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How trading bots can help you automate your portfolio on: January 29, 2021, 06:43:13 AM
I actually bought one for trading forex...
I know its not crypto related, but yeah, the robot has been working like magic, whether your data is on or not....

automation is such a big help, so if you have found one that works, and doesn't blow your account, keep it, making money passively is a privilege....
oh if you want to get the bot you can message me its only $800.....
Nice shilling. Does your bot return a big amount of profit in a weeks time that your asking price is 800$, that is a lot of money for something that is not even a famous trading bot. To everyone that reads this, do not follow the guy above, 800$ for a trading bot is the biggest scam ever, if it was real, the person should've posted the name of the bot in the first place, there are Open Source bots out there and they are free, just tweak some of them with some codes, there are people that can help you here if you want a bot. I do agree with @Murpheus about trading bots a good thing because of automation, you can do more things.
1723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whcih countries will be forthcoming on adopting Bitcoin on a natioanl level? on: January 28, 2021, 03:37:30 PM
Canada? And there may be a few more developing countries.
Good answer but I would like to nominate not a country but a continent, and it will be Africa, the adoption there is so fast and the rate of inflation in some countries like what happened to Zimbabwe and the crime rate relating to stealing fiat from other people there are a good indicator that a cashless transactions are the best course of action, it is also worth mentioning that technology is widely embraced in this continent. If their governments were to do an economic experiments on national scale, I think that it will work out there unlike in Western countries like US were regressive minds are plaguing the country and progressive people are shunned, Asian countries are rife in corruption so it will be difficult to do a clean experiment there without some official lining their pockets, the closest will be the Middle Eastern Countries.
1724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Arctic Circle - The northernmost mining farm in the world! on: January 28, 2021, 02:23:45 PM
I think these outposts way in the northern area of the world should be valorified through bitcoin mining operations. Not only Siberia, but Canada, Alaska, Iceland, Scandinavian countries are all excellent places to develop the industry.

The efficiency is greater taking into account the reduced costs of cooling down the rigs. I don't know about the illumination costs, but I guess it shouldn't represent a significant cost if the LED technology is used.
It is efficient yes, but the problem that I can see is the employees that will be working on this mines, you have to have the facilities that are suitable to stay at this places at the ready and functioning, we can't have people there freezing to their death because heater does not work, supplies won't be a problem because AFAIK most supply drops in the Arctic are calculated for a one year duration. My question is even though the cost of energy to operate is low, will the profit that it will produce be enough to make that kind of facility in the first place and if so, will making it a large scale operation be better?
1725  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I am being mercilessly scammed by somone from the bitcoin world on: January 28, 2021, 01:39:45 PM
It is a trick to lure you to their site and get you scammed with whatever unjustifiable sentences they'd use afterwards, just stay off their mails. You can easily unsubscribe, mute or even ignore them from henceforth. Don't pay them any attention.
The solution that you provide will not solve everything that, unsubscribing, mute or ignore will not be enough if that email account has been compromised. Check for your account if it has already been leaked online. This is a scary thing because you might be using that email for something important or personal and suddenly it is mixed with scam offers that you might accidentally click on and you might think that it is a legitimate email. I myself have multiple emails that have different functions, one is for everything not so important things but needs an email and the other one is exclusively for private matters.
1726  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Exodus wallet phishing on: January 28, 2021, 12:45:26 PM
I don’t know from where they are getting crypto based user database and sending emails to attract people on their money stealing trap. We have seen similar attempt in the past and still this scammers are running their phishing platform to steal exodus wallet users credentials and fund. This time they are using a new created domain.

You have done a great job by detecting this phishing website and their activities. You can notify exodus authority about this by sharing your topic link which will help them to warn their platform's current user.
There are a lot of people that are selling data on the Internet, you just need to pay the price. The only thing that I believe that can help mitigate this kind of phishing attempt is to regularly check your email if it has already been breached or is stolen because a site it is used on has been attacked and data leaks happen. The site that I use to regularly check my email is haveibeenpwned.com. There are a lot of phishing sites out there, this is a good job done but with every 1 being exposed another 5 pop up but that does not mean that we are not fighting the good fight, they will eventually lose word combinations to use for their phishing websites.
1727  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Plagiarised Bounty content on: January 28, 2021, 10:03:44 AM
This is a pretty tricky situation, both parties does not want to give in. Is there other contents that are being plagiarized? If the only thing copied is the rules of the campaign then what seems to be the problem? Honestly, I don't see any problem that they are copying the rules of the campaign, shouldn't it be better that all campaigns follow the same guidelines in the first place so the possibility of brain drain for bounty hunters when it comes to bounty campaigns is zero to nothing. This is just my opinion though, maybe next time try to do a little courtesy and at least ask for permission if you are to copy something or get an inspiration.
1728  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] tmax-ad.com (HammerEx) / MRC ICO on: January 27, 2021, 01:54:35 PM
Hello, I confirm this site is a scam. I have been lucky, I did two small withdrawals to get back my money (just some hundred of euros), I even had a profit of 88 euros. I have been always very kind with the girl who was contacting me via whatsapp, so probably she was thinking I am so silly that, after these small tests, I would "invest" 10.000 euros.
At my attempt to withdrawal more big amount, the site showed "frozen balance". The admin wrote via email a first time asking to sell all MRC and then the "financial department" will calculate the 20% of taxes I should pay on the profit.
A second time he wrote that I am not authorized to use the "institutional code" (the same I used for all operations).
It seems the girl blocked me on whatsapp, but my account on the site is still active. I continue to make my "silly" face, I want to see if I get more infos.
I forgot to mention that the girl sent me many photos of herself in her private life, but many are of some model I found then on the web.
Is it possible to report here the pictures?
By the way, stay away from this site.
Good thing that you got some money out of it even though it is a scam. This is a social engineering type of scam, using a girl to talk to you into investing into something really smells fishy. This scams are made by the same group of people if I may assume because they all work the same and the only thing that changes is the name of the website/project/coin. I want to corroborate the quote above regarding the website, I have checked and red flags are popping out of this website. The pictures that the "girl" was using are stealing the pictures of some people. You can drop a link of the picture since you are still a newbie, a higher ranked member will just post it if they want to and if they find that it helps with the scam accusation.
1729  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips for Trading on: January 27, 2021, 12:50:25 PM
For new trader i want to share my experience. Follow and hope you will enjoy it.

Not Loosing Money is more Important than Making Profits.
A regards this, i think as a trader you should not be scared of loosing money; because how can you trade every day without a record of loss? Instead a trader should realize that making more profits than losses is vital; and this is were emotional balance and stop loss comes into play, Always do your researches too; and take a loss in trading as a lesson instead of a loss.
I think what @Hobo66 say do make sense, better to get a 0 than a -1. Understandable that at first you will be losing money but when you have been trading for years now, I think that having a loss should be a problem for you because it indicates that you did not improve overtime. I do agree with your other advice, they are just some of things that I follow. I would love to add that you also should create a safety net for a possible loss especially if you are just a beginner trader, an emergency fund will take you a long way to shoulder some day to day expenses, most recommend a 6 month period of funds but I would like to advice to stretch it to a 1 year.
1730  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Suggested Sites Day Traders follow? on: January 27, 2021, 12:05:06 PM
You cannot find that much here but you have a lot of choices if you browse through the Speculation, Altcoin Discussion and Speculation Altcoins. It is unpredictable whether you should start selling or not. And most of the day traders have their guts and own decisions if it is time to sell or not. You can find many technical analysis made by another person through the forum and you can learn from those from the sections I have told you.
I wouldn't recommend listening or as much learning solely on this forum, do your homework and research yourself, remember that what works for one does not mean that it works for many. Remember that it is users opinion and not a fact so take everything with a grain of salt when you are asking for their analysis or experience in trading, it is a dangerous path. Although the @passwordnow's advice is a good idea, I would love to add that you should read from other websites or multiple sources for insights and to help in not making a tunnel vision decisions. Also be careful with what you are reading, FUDs is as old as bitcoin so you will have a hard time identifying one so be smart and apply some common sense when you are reading.
1731  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the crypto market saturated? on: January 27, 2021, 09:49:59 AM
It is not saturated, it is just full of junk projects, copy cats and scammers who don't bring any extra value to what Bitcoin or Ethereum are already offering.
I'd say that the crypto "market" still has massive room to expand. Think about the infinite amount of dapps and services you can build using cryptocurrencies especially in the financial services sector.
If it is full of junk projects, copy cats and scammers then doesn't it mean that it is saturated? I think the problem here is that most of the time, the people that get into cryptocurrency does not have a prior knowledge about it, some of them jump in and either get lucky or get screwed by a scam, those that get lucky are either learning or they are naïve to the point that they are hyping things that looks feasible in paper but couldn't really function in a real time application. I do agree that it has still a lot of room to expand, the problem is not the material, the real problem is the people and this people really knows how to put the blame on something or someone except for themselves, maybe if we were to up the education standard in the school's curriculum, we might be able to produce critical thinking people at best and at minimum, maybe a person that has a common sense.
1732  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: That AI bot that can trade on my behalf without me making the trades on: January 27, 2021, 09:01:11 AM
We have lot of Open sourced trading bots available for people to use or can even buy the one with subscription fee which only execute the trades based on the algorithms set by the users.

AI technology exists but still in the early stage so you can't find such AI trading bot can make trade for you can actually make millions or even in billions everyday but it is still few decades away and may not be available for these kind of usages for sure.
Open sources are good but you need to have some programming prowess or at least skills to tweak it to your liking, it is still the best one though as some trade bots are not that good and the subscription to use one is not worth your time if you weigh the profits overtime. There are some bots that can make you serious money if you have the skills to tweak it to make profitable trades and you have a lot of money to spare, for example, you can make millions with trading bots if you are a manager of more than one accounts in trading and you have a lot of investors that are pouring money. AI has advanced, OpenAI is a promising one and I think that if companies were to focus their efforts in creating an AI for trading then they might be able to do it at this moment.
1733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Future is still bullish. on: January 26, 2021, 01:58:22 PM
I am absolutely sure of it. Despite the fact that the price has fallen again, it will also rise very soon.
The market prices have gone this far and I think that the only way for the bitcoin market is up. The down in the prices as I much as I want to believe is just a hiccup but we have to be realistic, the run is slowing down and individual investors and old coiners have been selling their coins for a big profit and nothing we can do about that, the institutional investors are slowing this month and I think that it will be a detrimental factor for the rapid rise of the bitcoin market. Maybe if a certain price point is broken, we might feel a little smooth sail along the way.
1734  Other / Politics & Society / Re: People around the world cant go with covid restrictions on: January 26, 2021, 12:51:24 PM
The lockdowns would not be needed if not for those who refuse to wear masks. A lockdown is needed to contain the area of contagion to small boundaries. Once that is done and the virus has played out amongst the infected hosts, the rest can resume normal lives with masks and a bit of social distancing.
Unfortunately, people just want to go ahead and celebrate with a big party the moment the lockdown lifts. The cycle keeps repeating with scared leaders and a citizenry that sees lockdowns as infringement of their rights.

How much entertainment do these people need??
Amen brother, if people are not ignorant about science then many people could have lived and the pandemic lockdowns and quarantines around the world could have gone shorter if people followed the regulations seriously. The problem is also the fault of the government, if they were responsive and knows when and where to allocate their resources then their management and containment could have been more efficient but no, they need to be able to stay in power and they need some sacrifices to do that. If only the pandemic only affected those ignorant people specifically, I think that I would not feel bad that they will die, especially those who break restrictions to do recreational things that does not involve finding a job or stuff. This people do not know entertainment, they are selfish and ignorant retarded babies that always seek attention, in short, they are a joke of a human being.
1735  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: cryptothrills.io is a scam. on: January 26, 2021, 11:58:59 AM
I have checked their ANN topic and i saw they are giving you response there. You should give them few extra time to  solve your issue. Follow their ANN and let them know what actually happened with you.

Don't forget to give updates here.
Wow, this website wants to clear the air surrounding this, good for them that they want to look into it. The chat evidence is a little suspicious though, what is the need to deposit bitcoin when they clearly said that it is free, I am pretty sure I have seen this kind of parlor trick in some circuses that I have gone when I was younger, people reeling you in with some initial wins and then when you are hooked, they then present you something that seems to be a winning game and get you to play big money and then throw a metaphorical sucker punch behind you because the game was rigged all along and you are at their mercy in the first place, I will call it fishing. I hope that this will not be the case for this website because they seem to willing to clear the allegations.
1736  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FREEWallet.org is a SCAM on: January 26, 2021, 09:35:55 AM
By the way, they will ask you for ID card, hand-held ID card photo, bank card, bank statement, handheld APP ID photo, 2 inch photo, utility bill only to sell it via blackmarket
That is what I was thinking, they get more out of the people that they are scamming, it seems like they are data mining these poor users that had their money and identity swindled by the same group. And this thing can't be denied because multiple users seems to agree that Freewallet is a scam website. There are a lot of websites that are acting this way for awhile now and it is an alarming rate because any website that you have trusted might pull a fast one on you and ask for the impossible KYC.

I've been using this wallet for a while and never had any issues. I must say that I always keep relatively small amounts, it could be. I personally have not experienced any problems with freewallet.org
Good for you that you are not a victim of this website, a lot of users have flagged this user and it seems unusual visit for a happy client for a website that has been bombarded with accusations that have proofs.
1737  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam]: Stellar phishing site on: January 26, 2021, 08:42:03 AM
snip
How can this happen? I mean, what can a file with no extension do? Especially if I hit closed early. I ran the Anti virus and it found nothing suspicious. Do I still have to be afraid of anything?
I do not have that much experience with cybersecurity so most of the replies there are just a paranoid precaution because I do not know a lot about malwares and stuff like that but I know enough to know that they pose a real threat. Hopefully, you did not get the malware as you have mentioned that you have closed the download early and a good thing that you did scan your computer, but beware because all malwares are not created equal, some pretend to be a good file or worse an armored virus. Heed my advice about using VMs for this kind of things because I know that you are a curious one. And yeah, don't be afraid of anything, you did what you can to prevent the entry of the malware right? Don't second guess yourself.
1738  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: January 26, 2021, 07:42:06 AM
There has been a strong imbalance between supply and demand for food this year due to tough restrictive measures to combat the coronavirus pandemic. As a result, food producers could not sell their goods and it simply deteriorated, and the population did not have the opportunity to buy it, since the markets and trade network did not work.
However, there is also a more global problem with food. The population of our planet is growing, but the amount of fertile land is not increasing. Moreover, its area is decreasing due to human activities and environmental degradation. Therefore, the problem with food, and in the future with drinking water, will only grow.
There always has been an imbalance between supply and demand for food, it was just exposed because of the pandemic, back then it was more subtle and nobody really cared but now that everyone is watching the news, the eyes of many people were opened to the existing imbalance that has been plaguing them for a long time. The imbalance also amplified that existing problem because as you have said, pandemic has displaced some market providers and have their crops being wasted in storages. The problem with growing population is that most of the serious offenders are religiously tied so they do not approve of controlled reproduction, the fertility of land can be rejuvenated if governments around the world started to focus their efforts into creating an efficient way to grow crops and invest tons of money for agricultural research. The prices of the food will go down but I do think that it will gradually increase as there is inflation.
1739  Economy / Economics / Re: Why criminals prefer cash (Fiat) on top of crypto? on: January 26, 2021, 06:41:37 AM
I think they prefer cryptocoins...like hackers
Conventional crimes are not yet ready to adopt cryptocurrency as their means of handling money. You have to understand that hackers(black hat hackers) and drug ring are a different kind of criminal. Hackers knows the in and outs when they are in the cyberspace so they wouldn't have a problem with cryptocurrency, meanwhile criminals that are not in the realm of cyber space like drug rings as I said earlier have problem trusting technology, they know that authorities are on their tail so anything that they can't control like data flowing on the Internet is not the best option, not to mention that schisms and treason can be a thing in this rings which means that if they were to deal in cryptocurrency, one of them could simply take it without everyone knowing where it went. Criminals also have a hard time going for new technology so they stick with what works for them the best.
1740  Economy / Economics / Re: What We Should Learn From Elon Musk Influence on: January 26, 2021, 05:44:00 AM
The answer is obvious mate. This is not a million-dollar question. When visibility increase demand follows it. But this effect, in the end, will be a short term effect. Be careful.
I wouldn't necessarily say that it is short term, it is more of a "at the mercy of the Hypeman" in this case it is Elon, if he were to change his standpoint then definitely others will follow what he says cause we all know, sycophants love what their idol says. This type of thing has been observed a long time ago, there was a concept created that was conducted where judges are rewarded for selecting the most popular instead of their personal choice, this is called a Keynesian Beauty Contest, which theorizes that the price fluctuations are based on popularity and not your personal choice which means that if Elon who is followed by millions of people say that something is good or bad then that can spell a disaster or a prosperity for the companies, services, products and things that he will mention.
