Um so i m mining EXP with r9 270.
Its going ok till after random amount of time.
Then Screen goes black for a moment, monitor turn off, and goes back after 5 seconds. Whole hashrate goes to 0 till i reset miner. What to do?
Bad drivers, hw problem, overclock too high. |

Matthev I am using the BIOS you sent me for RX580 GIGABYTE with 8GB Samsung memory. I am getting around 29.5MH/s now. My core is set to 1300 and memory to 2000 like you said. Can I push anything more out of these cards or nah? If so how?
It depends, I don't really know what I sent you  But Samsung it must be Uber-Mix 3.1, you need to find highest memory clock speed with no errors or at lest with a very low errors. It should be running more. I can have 30+MHs with shitty Dual 480 8G and that's with stock config in claymore... where to find them?
are they different for different brands/memories?

I think I'm doing something wrong.
My card is an rx 580 8GB, samsung memories.
I had :
-24.5 MH/s out of the box.
-27.1 @ 2220 @ 0.95
Now I have:
-29.2 @ 2230 @ 0.95 with 1750 into 2000 straps.
I think I should be able to squeeze something more but going higher with ram speeds will crash my system regardless of voltage.
You can't set voltage for memory. 2230 is pretty high, you have good memory. You need performance timings like Uber-mix. |

Enable 4G above, set primary GPU to auto and connect video cable to one of the GPU not iGPU. This should work. At least for me with 5 gpus worked just fine with Z270 Prime P. |

Thx for your answer its strange because I had same probleme with rx480 Nitro + OC 8GB samsung.
Maybe I am doing something wrong ? I just copy the 3.2 straps to 1750 and 2000.
Is there other thing to modify in the bios ?
Ubermix 3.2 where is this straps dont find it in PBE thread ? I have see the 2.3 ligthmix.
Yeah you could edit lot of stuff, but the most important gain in hashrates are performance timings. If your card can't handle Uber-Mix 3.1 than 3.2 should be good, or you need to set lower memory clocks. If you can return the card, do it, the 3.1 is the best you can have, without it that's just little bit better than stock. 3.2 is somewhere in that thread in the end it was few days ago. |

On a sidenote, I've got my two 7-GPU rigs (RX 570's) hashing away and they're only sucking a combined 2200W at the wall. Quite amazing considering my 6x R9-280X rig used to draw almost the same amount of power on its own back in 2014...  what mother board does 7 GPU now ? Asus Z270 Prime P can have 8, And Z270-A 9 gpus. On a sidenote, I've got my two 7-GPU rigs (RX 570's) hashing away and they're only sucking a combined 2200W at the wall. Quite amazing considering my 6x R9-280X rig used to draw almost the same amount of power on its own back in 2014... That's horrible. I have 2x RX 470, 1x RX 480 cards and 1x R9 380 (need update but there are no AMD cards...) with 560W at wall. Also I mine XMR with STAK, but when I use Claymore I have 100W more from wall with about same hashes |

It's all about timings... those basic copies straps aren't fastest. Any ideas on how timings could be improved for Elpida memory? I've got 14 of those Asus RX 570 Expedition OC's. They're all featuring Elpida mem... So far I've only copied the 1500 straps upwards and played a little with the clocks. Wonder if there's any more room. I have good Elpida timings 29MH/s. PM me. I have 2 x AMD Radeon RX580 Gaming 8GB with samsung memory. from box ethereum hashrate was 24.5 mh/s than I change timings with Polaris Bios editor. I copy from 0:1500 to 0:1625 > 0:1750 >0:2000. after this I get 29.8 ~ 30 but after 2 minuts go down to 20, 14, 10, 7 till 4.1 Then I returned everything back and copy from 0:1625 to 0:1750 >0:2000 and I get stable 27.8 ~ 28.1 power consumption 130 watt per card. can any help me with proper timings to get stable 30 mh/s thi is original BIOS image  Did you check for memory errors? Overheating? Use Uber-mix 3.1 or 3.2. Or PM me. |

I have the SAPPHIRE PULSE RX 580 8GB HYNIX. I modded the bios copying the 0:1750 string to 0:2000 and 0:2250, this gives me 25,5 m/h, and 27 with core at 1100 mem at 2150 and vcore at -96 and powerlimit at +30. i found this http://1stminingrig.com/best-bios-rom-for-sapphire-pulse-rx-580-8gb-oc-hynix-memory-30-mhs/ but my firmware is 256kb and has different timings, mine does not have 1:x og 2:x so i can't use it. Any suggestions to getting this to 30m/h? These cards are strange. I've tried using 1500 straps and running them at 1250/1800 for 25.5mhs. The 1750 strap allow the mem to clocked at 2050+ but still give only 25.5mhs. I've also tried playing with the powertune settings in the bios, rasing tdp/tdc/max powerlimit/small powerlimit with no effect on hashrate. It's all about timings... those basic copies straps aren't fastest. need one advice better to get Sapphire RX570 Nitro+ 4GB or RX580 Nitro+ 4GB?
Both 4GB versions, the first one is 280Euros the second is 316 Euros. Who has this cards can give me an advise ?

Looks good but what about error and power consumption ? Ah yes and do you try dual mining ? I have 4 Nitro LE 8GB Hynix but only 1 can reach 30mhs eth 900Mhs Dcr at 1200/2130 -138mv 124-9 Watt. 3 Other are like 1200/ Ram 2117/2095/2085 at 29+eth 880 dcr 2 are at -144mv. All with no error. I use some strap that some one send in this thread. What strap are you using ?  Now I buy a Asus 580 strixx OC 8GB that come with samsung ram. I copy the Ubermix last straps to 1750 and 2000 but I must downclock ram at 1980 to get no error and get only 27mhs. I try the lower version of Ubermix but when I start mine at 2000mhz mem and got only 27mhs push it to 2010 and the error start. I am dissapointed about the ubermix strap. Some one have better strap ? You have bad luck for memory... If you can't run Uber-mix 3.1 you will never have best performance... Use 3.2, but it's a lot lower hs but stable. I'm looking for a recommendation on which card to purchase:
Sapphire Pulse RX 570 4GB
Asus Strix RX 570 4GB
Asus Dual RX 480 4GB
The prices for these cards are all the same, but I could get the Strix soonest. I will be primarily mining ethash, likely dual mining.

I have Asus Strix 470, best fans I've ever seen, but no memory heasink so far no problem. Asus Dual 480 is bad, it has Samsung memory, but 8G version is good, but have same performance as Strix 470 with Samsung memory... and O8G was dissaster, I returned that card, it couldn't handle any overclock and also Uber-mix timings wasn't working milions of memory errors. This card have also bad cooling fans are noise and no memory heatsink... it have some errors on memory because of heat! |

Hello guys, any of you tested MSI RX 580 Armor 8G OC HYNIX ? I can't do more than 27 MH/s with straps 2:1750 and OC 1150 / 2150. Did all straps like 2:1500 - 2:2000 = crashing after Windows booted up. 2:1625 = with stock setting crash after miner starts work. 1:1500, 1:1625, 1:1750 = no effects at all. Any ideas? NVidia gotta be LOVING this.... The Vega Frontier edition is supposedly going to be out in June or early July - but that's the WORKSTATION version, not a consumer one, and will probably be priced accordingly. The consumer Vega cards are due later this year, apparently. 500 bucks :DDDDD Who wants my RX 480 8GB? Just 489 bucks I'm not sure why everybody is excited from Vega? It should be high-end like Fury, so it will cost fortune and also HBM has pretty bad timings. That's what makes all AMD cards good for mining and all those bios mods are about. |

570 and 580 are good after VEGA or need to wait for the beginning of June, when will the first test of VEGA in mining?
VEGA isn't worth for ETH or XMR minings same as FURY I would say. Will it work cross brand? not sure it is working on Asus Strix?

That 470 4Gb where you have UberMix 3.1 is Samsung mem? I just really wonder if I can use it on 470 gfx. Everywhere is written it's for 480/580... I would like to try that on my Samsung 470, but dont want to brick it  On my 480s the 3.1 is much agressive and I am getting mem errors fast. I am trying now 3.2b (didnt't found 3.2 final non beta) and it looks more stable but on higher frequences... Yes, I have Asus Strix RX 470 with Uber-Mix 3.1. I'm testing it right now, after few hours stable at 2030Mhz it can go even above 2100MHz but almost no difference... I have Asus Dual RX 480 8G with 3.1 and it has same hashes as the RX 470, but other Dual O8G didn't working more than few minutes with 3.1... and 3.2 had a lot lower hashes so I'm returning this card. It doesn't matter what core the card has only it matters memory manufacture! I bet if you could run 3.1 on 1800 or 1900Mhz it will be better than 3.2 on 2000-2100Mhz. |

I have Uber-Mix 3.1 on RX 480 8GB and RX 470 4GB they mining almost same on XMR. I will PM you file with timings, you can test them all and let me know which one is best. It's decoded from HEX but also those numbers and letters like 777000A means lot of things, there is another tool to decode this to correct specs. It looks like this. CMD_DLY = 0 And so on it's long So, I have used the BIOS provided and I verified in GPU-Z that the memory is DDR5 (SAMSUNG) on all cards. Bad news. Somehow it is STILL hashing only at 17MH/s now! Even if I restore to original BIOS which was actually exported from ATI Flash and not GPU-Z. Now, what doesn't make sense is how come it does not return to the original hash rate even though I flashed to the original BIOS. Additionally, I did update to EthOS 1.2.2 from 1.2.1 and everything went smooth. Does modifying BIOS in Windows also require special configuration in EthOS (I assume so and I do have global mem set to 1250 and just set globalcore to 2000).
I am completely lost as to what is going on. I do have 3 more identical cards sealed in the box which I am going to open, benchmark to check if they get to 24MH/s and extract the BIOS to hopefully restore to 24 and not lose money by being down.

I don't mine ETH neither have RX 5xx series and ETHOS... It should work if this bios is correct one. Try 1300MHz clock and 2000Mhz memory this should be running like hell. Could you try to mining in Windows? Also in Windows you maybe need wipe drivers after flashing. It sometimes doesn't work very well. Try flash orig bios, reboot, then modded one and also run DDU. Reboot and install AMD drivers, apply patch and reboot again. If it's still not working there is problem with card or with bios. |

Here are the original and modded BIOS roms based on the instructions. Both are for my set of GIGABYTE Aorus Radeon RX580 XTR 8G. However, no matter what I have tried, Windows 7 hangs as soon as the "Your VBIOS has been imported successfully" message and I have to hard reboot. Cards were definitely updated because as soon as I boot into EthOS, I get dready super high speed fans....and 17MH/S. Begging for help because these cards are just collecting dust instead of mining. I've insert Uber-Mix 3.1 to 2000Mhz so you need 2000 and more to be running. Check for mem errors. I don't have RX 5xx or even Gigabyte cards, so I can't really tell what you need more, TDP and clocks are set very high for stock... so I didn't change it, should be fine. BTW did you use GPU-Z for backup? RX 4xx bios have 256KB, but yours have 512KB? I think it's not right. It's made for Samsung memory only. You need different timings for every manufacture (Hynix,Elpida,Micron,Samsung). No matter if it's RX 480, 570 and 4 or 8GB. You can google them or made your own, all important what use to decode and encode is in the thread i've posted here like 10 times. Or PM me I can give you timings I'm using right now (I need tester for Hynix anyway I don't have any Hynix card but in future maybe so I need to test what timings are good.) |
