I wouldn't say the PBE v1.6 bundled straps aren't that good. For most of the cards I have they worked great. With the Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 8GB it gave me almost 31 MH/s and with the Sapphire Pulse RX 580 4GB I'm getting almost 30 MH/s. The others like my ASUS STRIX RX 480 8GB cards are over 29 MH/s. Probably not the best timings possible, but in most cases definitely better than just copying the original straps down. Also just because someone shares a Bios made with publicly posted straps doesen't mean it's bad. As I remember, YOU were busted by Wolf0 for SELLING his straps which were NOT posted publicly. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1954245.msg19577024#msg19577024Well, I specifically said " It's not bad, but also not very good." and I also said: " But still it's better than copy 1500Mhz straps". BTW: It was Eliovp timing strap. I paid for that timing elsewhere, didn't know it was his. The timing strap is publicly released.

@Mattthev Can you help me out at all please on what i should use if this is bad.
Thanks
It's not bad, but also not very good. I don't like downloaded bios from the internet... if you want free bios mod do it yourself it would be at least the same as the downloaded but much safer.

No it's not. Comparing the Bios BBT posted in the video to the original Bios, it looks like he just copied the original 1500 timings to the higher frequencies in both sets of straps. I also tried it with the PBE v1.6 'one click' straps, but the BBT Bios worked slightly better.
Oh sorry my bad. It was his another video where he has bios with that timing, I haven't looked at this one... Yeah that timing strap in PBE is not very good.

And what hashrate do you have? I don't think it will work better for RX 480. But it might.

I have four of the same Powercolor Red Dragon RX 570 4 GB cards. I get 28.25-29.25 MH/s ETH and 730 - 745 MH/s dual mining DCR after flashing the Bios BBT posted in the description of the video he did for those cards. I'm using 1200 MHz core clcok and 1975-2075 MHz overclock for the memory in Afterburner with a -96 mV undervolt and -15% Power limit. Great cards, only after using HWinfo to check for memory errors, I found not all cards can take 2075 MHz for the memory, so I have to use 1975 MHz. They also run hot when dual mining. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VC3WQLEDZN0&feature=youtu.be&t=6207Well, it's not his. It's the same timing strap mentioned before. You also need to undervolt in bios if you want to use AB or use better utility. I will post link to new OverDrivenTool for blockchain drivers.

Dont blame the protocol because you had some junk wifi router. You have no idea what you are talking about with networking, please dont spread falsehoods.
Yes, it was weak router, but same is with fast ethernet, why use this old stuff? As I said at first gigabit all the time, it's cheap and powerful even for future use.

Were you just emailing them or did you use skype? They have been slow to reply to me.
I use both, but I've received no answer yet.

I've placed my order, will see if they even contact me back.

Open your routers with fast ethernet and look at the chipset. I would say it can't support 12 rigs with 13 GPUs and same with old crap switch with good ping. I had 4 rigs connected to old TL-WR741ND V4 I think it was. Ping was two times higher than with TL-WR1043ND and few devices on WIFI and the old TP-link was almost dying. OP doesn't ask about internet connection speed... Price differences between routers and switches with fast and gigabit ethernet are minimum... Gigabit for future use is clear choice.

Hi, I have little idea how much internet bandwidth a mining rig requires. Does it vary greatly between a 6 GPU or 13 GPU rig ?
For 12 rigs in front of a 16 port Switch, is a 100Mbps Switch fine or should you go for 1Gbps ?
Gigabit all the time. Fast ethernet is really old. All those routers, switches and hubs with Fast ethernet will use old and slow chips. You need best ping possible.

None of the mining cards I saw were better than gaming ones...

@Mattthev and Kozzz : Thank you for your response I have few more questions I have 2 RX580 on this rig : Sapphire RX580 nitro + 4Gb (elpida) gpu 1180 + mem 1850 timming : 777000000000000022AA1C0073627C41B0551016BA0D9606006C060104061420EA8940AA0300000 01914292E692E3B16 gatelessgate : 700mhs --> do I have possibility to increase it ?Sapphire RX580 nitro + 8Gb (hynix) gpu 1180 + mem 2200 timming : 777000000000000022AA1C00B56A6D46C0551017BE8E060C006AE6000C081420EA8900AB0300000 01B162C31C0313F17 gatelessgate --> rawintensity:512, worksize: 4, gpu-threads: 2 --> can't get more than 630mhs! any idea why ?I don't use gatelessgate so I can't tell, but your timings aren't the best. Elpida is copied stock timing strap from bios, isn't it? Hynix is the leak timing strap, but it's better on ETH than on XMR from what I know. With better timings you should have increase in hashrate, also try different miner. You don't need new blockchain drivers for Monero, I have all cards on older 17.6.2. drivers

Anyone know what happened to Nanopool (xmr.nanopool.org) ?
I don't mine on Nanopool, but if you have troubles start your own thread, you will get better support.

Just place them on the 1:2000 (or 2:2000), set VRAM clock to 2000, save and flash your bios. If you are going to run your vrams at >2000mhz, only patch the 2000 timing.
On SAPPHIRE RX580 PULSE 4GB (elpida) @ 2080mhz I do 31,2MH/s (no errors on hwinfo). Not bad for a "free" timing. Give them a try
Why to do it like that? If you want these timings use the PBE One click and that's it...

wow, fantastic guide. im using the xmr-stak-amd and my hash running so stable. usualy i check my miner using teamviewer but now just my ip. hehehe thank you boss for the best guide. Yeah, those web stats are awesome :3

MatthewV: When you say lower voltage in bios what do you mean? Undervolt - Directly on the VBios Config? (My Exxperience with Bios Modding was at the time of the 8800GTX and the propose was for Games not for mining, so if you could elaborate on this I would appreciate).
In the mean time I have found some one placing their memory timing from a Rx580 and all the timings were exactly the same of my original memory timing as my one is a 8gb hynix.... so I yried the timing on the card the: 777000000000000022AA1C00B56A6D46C0551017BE8E060C006AE6000C081420EA8900AB0300000 01B162C31C0313F17 I tried on the 1725 2000 2250 and is going up to 25.5 stable I would say.... even do my card is Rx470 its working for now... 45 to 50 degrees celsius......
Still no way close to the 28/29mhz objective.... If anyone has a new timing of config to improve the hashrate with stability let me know... I would say I am doing what I can for my self and community as I am leaving behind every step..... (I am not a quiter so I be around for little nit more I would say)
I've mentioned in the guide how to do that, it need some improvement it's not really clear. I will update it. You may use static voltages like 950mV for exact clocks, or you may use dynamic voltages those are stock in bios. I don't know what clocks are you using so for stability you might use 1250MHz with 65285 voltage or 65284 if you are using lower clocks. The voltage table must going upwards. Voltage must be same or higher than the previous one. You also need to OC the memory for best performance.

LOL D3 for that price... But L3+ has trustable price.

Funny you give them away for free now. I recall earlier in this thread you're selling them (even when they're not yours) and just reverted when you've been called out. I might not have my "own" thread like these but I help if I can, not only in this board, but on other boards and forums as well. If you're a good samaritan, why not post all the links to all BIOS mods you have in the first page of this thread? Why there's still a "PM me" thing i'm seeing? Let's see if you can do that. Why would I do that? I'm not a charity. BTW again thanks for promoting this thread, half you your post are in here.

That's impressive, I wouldn't tought Vega would be this good for Monero. How much did it cost?
