Hi Mat would it also possible for you to send me some guide regarding with 2 rx570 i'm just starting to try mining here from my place and upon reading this thread i find it very interesting to begin with your guide, kindly send me some basic ideas on how this device works correctly and stable, thanks in advance.
Sure, but I don't really know what you mean by guide? This and and bios mod guide are the only I've made so far.
What miner you want to use? I can advise you with config. Send me an e-mail monerobiosedit@gmail.com

A small remark.
I am currently mining etc, not eth. Noticed that devfee switches to Eth and generates new DAG each time it switches to devfee, please consider using etc devfee also.

Thanks, I will change this next release.
Same with musicoin would be good.

would you be able to get Rx580 8gb cards to 900h/s, stable with low power consumption?

My Rig with 6 Rx580īs doing ~4400h/s with 600watts from the wall, using xmr stak amd
With SGminer maybe... 850-900H/s with low power consumption, it also need good config.
1244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: FOR THE RECORD: Does Motherboard really matter in mining? on: September 06, 2017, 08:01:41 AM
A motherboard that has been designed for mining specifically will be by and large the most hassle free and the easiest to setup for mining with 6 or more GPUs with the least troubleshooting, hair pulling, and downtime. We came to the decision that at this point we won't use anything other then dedicated mining boards. Down time is lost money, let alone the aggravation of dealing with it and losing that time to do other things that need to be done.... they just aren't worth it for us at least.

In my year and a half of experience, Mining specific motherboards have given me WAAAY more trouble than regular or gaming motherboards.
I prefer the latter because of the ease of setup ( for a total newbie it may be more complicated to setup a non mining board, but once you know your way around a few bioses, its fairly straightforward ) and stability, because their availability is much better and because prices are much more reasonable.
Sure in the long run maybe the mining board has better components that would last longer, but I doubt it seeing the cheap ass thin pcb's and lack of features on both Asrock or Biostar (I own 20+ of each btw so I speak from experience).
Suffice to say is, if one of the reputed motherboard manufacturer make any mining boards, I will buy them without skipping a heartbeat. I await the Asus mining boards for now.

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree based on my own experience.  Our dedicated mining motherboards have been the most stable and the simplest to setup.... they also only cost $80 or so right now and that's cheaper then most z170/z270 motherboards... price and availability are fine here in the USA at least. Since my wife does the majority of the work once they're set up it's very important to us for them to be rock solid stable and easy to setup or or troubleshoot if something does happen.
Well in US maybe Cheesy in EU there is bigger problem... prices are pretty high compared to normal mobo. And their desing is pretty much save on everything, they not put even control leds on them Cheesy  I like my Z270 mobos :3

I still like LBC, we need to wait until final release.
1246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Rebrand - RX570 / RX580 - Official Thread on: September 06, 2017, 07:55:13 AM
Hello All.
I was able to get 6 x RX-500 series running on windows 10 x64. After two days the stupidest thing I tried worked  Grin.
1. use DDU to clean the PC from any previous drivers.
2. Disable 4G decoding so you can log into windows (only  for Z170,H170, etc.)
3. Extract older driver for RX 400 series in Drive C: (I use 16.9.2 )
4. Extract driver for RX 500 series in Drive C: (I use 17.4.3)
5. Copy and replace all content from "C:\AMD\Non-WHQL-Win10-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Crimson-16.9.2-Sep21\Packages\Drivers\Display\WT6A_INF\B307117"  to "C:\AMD\WHQL-Win7-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-17.4.3-Apr17\Packages\Drivers\Display\W76A_INF\B313057" (Basically you copy the old driver over the new)
6. Install the VGA cards manually from Device manager in Windows pointing path to the new driver 17.4.3 in this case.
7. Reboot and enable 4G Decoding in Bios
8. Enjoy if it works for you.

You can try with different driver versions if they work for you. I`m happy whit the 16.9.2 for the moment but any driver that works whit 6 and more RX 400 series GPUs should work  Grin.

I know  that this solution sound stupid but it`s tested on 8 different rigs whit Asus Prime Z270-P and H270 Motherboards and works like a charm.
I`m pretty sure only handful of files need to be replaced but I don have the time to test more elegant solution.

Sorry for my English and grammar. Grin

sorry for pushing old posts, does this method work with the aug 23 AMD blockchain drivers?
Thanks.
There is no problem with 6 GPUs anymore.
1247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Asus prime Z270-p on: September 05, 2017, 08:53:34 PM
I've got the ASUS Prime Z270-P as well and have been running into issues with 810..

I've got the same PCIE screen representing only 1 slot..which deviates from previous things I've read as well.
I have same bios, no problem at all...

I plan on using Gigabyte H110-D3A mobo. @sevenmiles do you know if it's good for Kaby ?

Gigabyte H110-D3A supported CPU list here
Supported from first release, I see no problem.
1249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How will AMD Vega affect GPU mining? on: September 05, 2017, 08:51:04 PM
why?
i see Vega 64 - 43.5 MH/s @ 130w

but wait confirmed
I think it's not true. 43MH/s is possible probably with tuned miner even more, but 130W maybe in GPU-Z... not at wall.

Find list of supported CPUs, if Kaby Lake CPUs are not supported in the first version of bios you may need other CPU for bios updatu.
1251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Kaby Lake vs Skylake CPUs on: September 05, 2017, 01:04:44 PM
I have 1 rig with G3930 and 5 AMD cards, no problem, 6 was working good too there. And also same CPU with 6x GTX 1060 and running pretty good. Both mobo has Z270 chipset. I had those Celerons with better price than older G3900.
1252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Innosilicon A4+ Coming soon - Pre-order and possible group buy on: September 05, 2017, 11:10:50 AM
Nope, I'm hoping for group buy with better price.
1253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASUS DUAL RX580 O4G OC - GPU frequency drop on: September 05, 2017, 11:09:25 AM
Core voltages are probably too low for your cards. Set them to higher like 950mV and you will see.

I'll try with higher voltages and see how they behave. Can you recommend optimal mem and gpu MHz to match with higher voltages?
Thanks a lot.
Let your core clocks like they are now. Memory OC to max until you have memory errors.

I suppose these numbers are from GPU-Z or something like that? You know that's not final power consumption, right?

1256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How will AMD Vega affect GPU mining? on: September 05, 2017, 08:36:03 AM
Vega is not good for mining. 2x RX 570 or 580 will beat it in hashrate even with price. HBM2 memory is as bad for mining as HBM.
1257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] New ETHASH Miner - Eminer v0.6.0-RC1 Released (Windows, Linux, MacOS) on: September 05, 2017, 08:11:37 AM
So far so good. I love it! :3 Your OpenCL kernel is AWESOME! I've same hashrate as with CUDA (+/- 1%) currently on 1 rig testing. But the biggest advantge for me is that voltages are stable, that was what I hate on NVIDIA cards... Now I can try undervolt more.
Web stats are also very nice, that's why I also like XMR-STAK.
I will report in few days how it's working. Thanks for your work.
1258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Database for AMD RX 4xx/5xx BIOS on: September 05, 2017, 07:39:16 AM
Turns out that Hynix strap from BuriedOne is the same one bundled with the new version 1.6 of PBE. LOL. The latest version of Polaris Bios Editor v1.6 from jaschaknack makes it simple to apply the right performance timings for your card. With the 'One click timing patch' option it will apply the bundled performance strap to the correct timings. I tried it with several brands of RX 570/580with Hynix, Elpidia and Samsung memory and they all now get 29 M/s+ stable. Much better than randomly copying timings from the diffrent straps. Some cards like the Sapphire Nitro+ have two diffrent sets of straps from diffrent brands of memory and PBE will corretly detect and apply the right strap to the right timing. Great update!

https://github.com/jaschaknack/PolarisBiosEditor
Yeah I like those names, "Good Elpida timing" Cheesy Only true name has Uber-Mix Cheesy But there are Hynix and Samsung memories that they aren't supported. Also it won't work with every card, those timing strap aren't the best, beware mostly with Hynix. 8GB Hynix can do much more with better timing.

Will you add also support for CUDA? I've haven't test your miner yet, but from my view NVIDIA OpenCL is not that good compared to CUDA.
I'm now running all my NVIDIA with CUDA 9 drivers, there is no difference in hashrate from CUDA 8 with Ethminer neither with CCminer.
1260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Solo mineable currencies with 2x 1080ti on: September 04, 2017, 09:42:23 PM
lbry is too hard for solo mining i think. With 2 1080ti's it will take 15 days to find a block.
You don't need to find block.

You don't need to find block when solo mining?
oh solo mining... sorry I've missed that part -_-
Yes, you need to find block.
