If he gets 980hs with claymore that means he can get about 1050hs with sgminer, which to admit it would be a surprise cause he is using the ubermix strap, not some heavily customised strap.
Indeed but on windows, I've hit 1kH on linux but clocks were insane -> core 1450, mem 2300 +50mV @tw ~185W.Don't actually know the difference in hashrate compared linux/windows but there was some in favour of windows of course. Yeah, 1400MHz on core is necessary, memory depends on timing and vendor.

nice link, mines monero. pretty smart redirecting service, didn't know this exists It was even on The Piratebay for few days Not the redirection, but background mining, it start to be on lot of sites with good traffic First bold sentence in this thread. READ IT!

@Mattthev - Just took a superficial review over this thread and your shitposts on other threads. When did you last visited your shrink? You are not helping my man, you are making things worse following your guides. Go get some mental help - you need it.
You don't need to follow my guides. You can google every link don't need to click on my links.

Hi,
I'm around 750 with RX480 and RX470...
Can't get better result !
Thx
You need better timings or maybe config for miner.

Thank you for this thread. I want to say that I have zero mining experience, and very little capital so I want to start small. I think I can understand your guide on how to start,,, but would you be able to show me where I can also find a beginner's setup guide? I have never set up even a computer (I am more noob than you will imagine) so I just want to see if I can find a list of hardware (minimum specs) along with guide on how to install them myself. I can go and buy a ready computer but I know I can save much more if I do on my own.
Any assistance is appreciated!
Start your thread here on bicointalk, guys here will help you. You don't need something special except good PSU and mobo if you want more GPUs. 3-4 GPUs would probably run on most cheap mobo with newer chipset. For 6 and more you need Z170 or Z270 is better choice or mining mobos. CPU take cheapest Celeron or Pentium that will fit. 4 or 8 RAM, 64- 128GB SSD. Gold or platinum PSU. Available GPUs for Monero take cheapest RX 570 or the one with memory heatsink for better peformance, do not buy mining cards.

Gigabyte RX 480 G1 Gaming 8G core - 1300 mem - 2055, Samsung, ubermix3.1 timings
Claymore 9.7 - 980 H/s XMR-Stak-AMD - 964 H/s
Not bad results I think
Not very possible i would say. 880H/s MAYBE. With hard OC it may break 1000h/s, but these values seem for my very low for this hashrate. Yeah it might be typo.

have you maybe a tutorial or guide? i have a vega 56 and my h/s is only 1100 :/ Is that stable? This only shows after 60 sec. It is up and running so far. Speed approved by the pool! https://i.imgur.com/yuHESeX.pngOne time I had a glitch when speed was down to 1680 after gpu-z start. Then I closed miner, reapplied HBCC trick and run miner again. 1990 was back again. Very stable. Important thing is to keep temps low! Yes, he does, follow the bitcointalk link he posted, he sell it for 0.4 ETH.

Hi All! I got one modded BIOS for my "Asus ROG STRIX RX 580 O8G GAMING" card (I saved my BIOS, uploaded to a website and got one back from a modder). BUT without checking what exactly he had modified, I doesn't want to flash it, so I compared with SRBPolaris V3 my stock BIOS version with the modded one. This is what he has done: - copied the memory timing of 1750 into 2000 strap - changed the GPU default frequency from 1360Mhz to 1088Mhz - changed the Memory default frequency from 2000MHz to 2140Mhz - changed the Max Power limit from 180W to 160W in PowerTune - changed the TDP from 145W to 122W in PowerTune - changed the TDC from 149A to 126A What do you guys think? Is this so OK if I want a little bit more hashrate and less power draw, with stable long term mining? Thx a lot Somebody? Or did I asked something offtopic? It's Anorak's way. So ask the one who did it for you, why he does it like this. For me this isn't good mod. OC memory to some value without knowing the card... you might enjoy some BSODs.

|
|
Well, I really can't reach those values, but meanwhile I modded 480 bios as well, copying memory timings.
Now RX560 gets 12.5 Mh/s and 480 4Gb gets 26.5.
Almost 40 Mh/s with around 170/180 W power draw, I think it's very nice.
If it's power draw in GPU-Z that's not so good. 26.5MH/s for RX 480 is very low.

Looking for guys with Hynix H5GC8H24MJ cards for testing timings. Contact me via e-mail I will send you the timings. Only for those who know how to mod bios like this and will share results with me. Thanks.
I'm curious about the new Gigabyte RX 580 Gaming 8GB from September or August with top 1500MHz strap? Does anybody have it?
|
|
|
@Mattthev can you share, so I can take a look ? I also don't understand why I cannot move the slider for the 4th card in power voltage this new version in Afterburner but I can in first 3 cards in the rig, same RX but old versions... Gigabyte wants to block and no more selling to miners ? The timings is not publicly released I only give it to testers right now, since I don't have this type of Hynix. For those who want it, need to have some skills with this type of bios modding and send me feedback for the timings, I have 2 versions now. I wrote about it in my bios modding thread, I will post it that again. Contact me via e-mail. For the voltage problem, did you use DDU? You may try OverdrivenTool with voltage offset.

This is new Hynix memory H5GC8H24MJ, I'm testing timing for that with some guys. But I've never seen 1500MHz as last... It's been tested with MSI and Powercolor. ETH is only around 30MH/s now, but Monero can do 900H/s. Send me an e-mail I will give you testing timings if you will share results with me.
This is how new cards version look in bios Maybe for Gigabyte, but MSI and Powercolor has also 2000MHz strap with this same memory version.

Your links are totally useless for Vega64 with blockchain drivers and contain long miner redirection virus. Total bullshit
What virus? It's javascript miner and it's stated there. I got at least some tips from that. I don't have any Vega so you might do a guide and I will add it to first post or point it to your post. What is bullshit about that? I'm pretty sure that the reddit post was one of the first and it contains all the info you need for setting Vega 64 to mine more effectively.

Hi,
Says Mal can someone here adapt a guide to the Vega 56 and Vega 64?
Somehow I have my problems.
thank you

Still awaiting my confirmation It's now approaching 1 week. How much money did you pay for x10? Price was $1188.

Right now I use minergate to mine XMR, I have several rigs, but I cannot really manage all my rigs by simply using minergate.
This post is really useful for me, and I will keep it and update my mining software.
It's really helpful, especially I have a lot of Nvidia cards.
Don't use Minergate! Gigabyte RX 480 G1 Gaming 8G core - 1300 mem - 2055, Samsung, ubermix3.1 timings
Claymore 9.7 - 980 H/s XMR-Stak-AMD - 964 H/s
Not bad results I think
That's great, but your memory clocks seems low for this high hashrate. You may try SGminer it perform better.

Hello, im a noob (more noob as you think) in this "game of coin", but somewhere i need to learn. You guide is great, but i got lot of problems to start...
I have 1 X RX Sapphire 560 4Gb, gives me 11 mh/s on ethereum, but i realy haven't mined it I'm mining Bytecoin with Minergate (you know, i'm noob!) and go to 300 - 350 hs/s
I got lot of problems also for modding this card. Anything i touch with SRB Polaris, the driver go crash, or card freeze pc (Win 7 64 bit) I tried anything , also some patch for "unlock" some block on drivers (mine is Crymson 17.8.2, but tested also .9 and .7) , nothing... driver crash.
Using MSI Afterburner let my driver crash also and when i use Trixx there are no differences in mining overclocking or underclocking (tested on Claymor for Eth) Realy no differences, fixed from 11.3 to 11.4 mh/s. When driver crash, 1,9 mh/s....
I downloaded SG Miner, it wont work, and i don't understand something :
- May i use my HitBct or Youbit wallet address ? - How can i have worker / user and password account for mining pool ?
Now i'm just setting your start.bat configuration, but i recevice this errorm than close shell : Operation successfull , saved specified value In Italian : Operazione riuscita : valore specificato salvato.
Please help me , i want to learn but i cannot find step - by step guide.
Thank you !
Ok, but this thread is only about XMR.
