I still don't get why people believe pirate is short in any significant way.
Remember he has to payout in BTC. Which implies a bullish price for BTC if he ever has to buy it on the open market. he said he was in control of the drop from 7 to 4 he said he would be in control of the drop from 9 to 6 i believe him i believe he believes what he says is true.

7% interest has to come from somewhere easy way to do that is to buy low sell high?

Hang in there adam, it does seem rather odd how well this rise is orchestrated. A 5K buy here another there, are these players holders or is something else in the works.
How is it "ODD"? Because the price is moving up at a slow and steady pace? Seems less manipulated to me it being that way than a huge spike. the manipulator wants you to buy... he will do anything to make you think you should buy. when will the next major sell happen? depends how much money the lemmings are willing to spend at 9+ Honestly I've been expecting a the pirate scheme to default last week but the price keeps going up even on top of major hacks and the bitcoinica fiasco. I must be missing something. pirate is fucked, he wont be able to buy back as low as he wants. but he has no choice but to try to bring the price down. i sold some coins so that i could be one of the people buying back b4 he does. getting us to panic buy is easy, after all we are trading $ for BTC, a good trade at any price. getting us to panic sell will be where he fails, he will try and the price will go down, but it will shoot right back up, b4 he gets a chance to buy back.

Has anyone thought about the fact that a LOT of bitcoin's value is due to the success and survival of Silk Road?
have you ever thought that SR success is due to bitcoin's value ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) No, SR denominates in USD so that's not really the issue, right? Unless you mean the properties of bitcoin. Sorry for being off-topic. Way off topic. But if SR goes bust, aren't speculators kind of screwed? ya i mean bitcoin's properties ( this is what gives it value ) SR is riding on Bitcoin's success, not the other way around. if SR bust... 10 more will take its place, eventually a dedicated p2p application could be made to truly make SR unstoppable.

It's funny to read the speculation forum after two weeks vacation. Proudhon has admited he's a bull and adamstgBit has turned into a bear ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) being a bear sucks man... it sucks! if i get to buy back, i will never sell another coin again ....then you will miss the peak of bitcoins. i didn't sell them all, most of them are safe... very safe! ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) and on the exchange my holding are 50/50... IMO this is the way to go at this time. I bought at .75, 10, 3, 4, 5, 6 9 seems kinda high to me...

is their a estimate of the % of coins left over after all the hacking? what have they done with the funds they still have, what do they plan to do with them? at first it seemed like they were trying to find out who should get what, are they still trying to do that?
are these the questions they refuse to answer?

The predicted ramp continues... 9.54 high, and I see no reason to believe that it's stopping.
bitcoin rallied from 5 to 9 in 2 months now for 2 weeks we have been at 9 isn't clear we have topped off? even if this rally pushes higher... how much higher? the higher the fewer coins are needed to crash it.

I think we'll see a big drop in PM's and a HUGE epic rise in bitcoin. if you do not fear inflation with your currency why hold PM's?
its kinda like holding on to your sea shells after gold is discovered.
Yes, but over what timeframe? While Bitcoin does outclass gold in some ways, it won't be able to completely supplant the metal until communications networks are as resilient as distributed networks. That means meshnets must become ubiquitous. Even then, the final vestige of gold probably won't be released until supply is called into question. Inflation is the superficial fear. The deeper, more substantial threat is counterparty risk - the danger of trust being broken in custodians of assets. For at least the next few years, both the monetary precious metals and Bitcoin will offer the best protection of all financial assets. timeframe, 10 years All PM used as a store of value, will loss value... gold will be hit hardest. 1 Bitcoin will be worth 1/21,000,000th of all the worlds wealth ( more or less ) 10 years is a little ambitious for bitcoin to dominate. And yet you keep insisting we'll correct to 8 soon ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) . can't i have my cake and eat it too ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif)
