I wanted to do something like this a while ago, but I don't make website & everyone told me no one will post.  Let's hope people post!

Two thoughts:

1) can we have people post how many bitcoins they have ready to spend?

This will help us understand how much capital stores can access.  Is it $100 worth of marketshare or is it $10,000 worth of marketshare?

2) we could verify these amounts just so that duplication of bitcoins for markets wouldn't happen by posting spending wallet addresses.

I'm sure this would be tough to track & have people be honest about, but it's a thought I had.

I think having market data on where the bitcoins are ready to spend is very valuable to help people like me focus my efforts on the markets with a critical mass of bitcoin users/spenders.

Yes, posting about how much you'd spend pre year would be good
I dont think we need to verify amounts, the fact that they signed says enough

I see Someone is playing with the map Smiley, please zoom out b4 saving the map
Thank you!

Great idea! One way we could do it is for each local bitcoin meetup to insist that the restaurant/bar they meet at on a regular accept bitcoin, and if they do, add their information to thebitcoinreview.

yes add the petition marker next to the meetup local, stat your demands, and start getting people to sign.

please make markers for anything "bitcoin local" related.

I was just thinking about this.  Great idea.

I want to make a point.  Which businesses will be most easily persuaded to give Bitcoin a go?  IMO, it will be the independent businesses.  My reasoning is that independent local business owners should be more accessible to Cash Mobbers to hear the case of Bitcoin.  Additionally, CC merchant charges weigh more heavily in the mind of smaller operations.

agreed,

place your general location on the map, as more people do this, we will be able to target the best location for the first restaurant/bar to accept bitcoin in your area

Help us bring bitcoin to our local area!

1) Show your local restaurant how much demand their is in your area. Add your name to the petition, if enough people sign up in your area, we could easily convince a restaurant into accepting bitcoin!
2) Using the Umapper tool, anyone can easily add themselves to the map. on the map you can write a post, stating your wish list or items you want to sell for bitcoin.
3) At the very least, put a marker in your general location, so we can better target the best location for the first restaurant to accept bitcoin, in your area

Edit the map! http://www.umapper.com/maps/edit/id/126278/

adding to the map couldn't be easier. give it a try!

Love this site. Have you considered a small bounty or bounties for css/layout improvements? A little padding around some of the elements(the logos specifically), a sans font, and some other font/background color combinations could work wonders for this site. -weex

I will be improving the layout, but right now I'm more focused on sorting out, and adding to, the content.
I will take this into consideration. Maybe in the near-ish future i will have a contest for a new look.

Thanks

can't we get these girls setup with a web site where they can sell a webcam show for bitcoin?

Bitcoin WebCam Girls  Roll Eyes
18231  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Stripcoin.com Bounties on: April 01, 2012, 06:10:28 AM
Roll Eyes

shouldn't we be posting Bounties for the girls video taping them self's doing naughty stuff?

It seems that requests for things are already being fulfilled by individual bounties. Last I saw, someone paid the girls to put a shoe on their head. I would like to work towards things more beneficial to the community. 8D

I see first we get them interested in bitcoin by making them take their cloths off, then we put them to work  Cheesy

My guess is that Jon is shorted with high leverage to around 4.20 and is just goading people to attack his fake bull position.

The bid curve is so flat immediately down-side of the monster wall that I don't see how anyone can take this as a genuinely bullish state of affairs.

notice that after the 5.00$ ask, its even more flat

the monster wall pushed us up 10cents and now look at the bids above 4.6

its looking bullish to me, with or with out this wall

also seeing the ask side grow and shrink grow and shrink all day long tells me it wouldn't take much to make these walls get scared

10:1 long is Crazy ya, but maybe not Totally uncalled for

Gentlemen, I have done everything with great focus and intent.

All I can ask is that you continue to act within your own nature.

18240  Economy / Speculation / Re: thebitcoinreview.com - Wants to make an educational video - Bitcoinia 101 on: March 29, 2012, 05:00:11 AM
we could also each fund the account with an equal amount of bitcoins, and each of us would have the password to this account

we'd figure out our strategy... and wait for the opportune moment to take a position, hopefully one of us well be able to hit our target

of course the video would only be made public once we split the profit

this might be fun! sign up Cheesy
