Its sad but a lot of crypto services and users are moving away from Bitcointalk. There is a lot of drama here and people are getting banned for a few wrongdoings. To be completely honest this place isn't very welcoming to newbies like it once was.
I agree with you, bitcointalk has become the most popular but also the cruelest forum. just look at some cases yesterday 600 accounts were banned in a day. this will be history, and it's really difficult for beginners to survive here especially with the merit system. People from the early days had a much easier task of leveling up their account. It is still achievable with the merit system but much more difficult. I often see many good posts go unmerited so just because you are a good poster doesn't mean you will rank up, you have to post more in certain sections like meta if you want to rank up quickly. Bounties are not much in demand and considering the fall which had taken for long time people have left hope as well. Also now with the bull run back people prefer to invest in top coins as those are more safe to get your returns back. |

Now I am not an expert in gambling but this day was a really eye opener for me, you can never win in gambling. Imagine when you can't win in lotto , soccer betting or whatever you call it, you don't have a chance in slots.
That is good that you have realized that gambling is not for making money but if you play within your limits then you can get entertainment with these games. Some games need the knowledge to guess results better way like sports betting but there is no guaranty that you will win for sure. If you want to win then you should be lucky for that day otherwise whatever we do not so easy to win money in gambling. Lottery, dice and slot games completely depend on our luck because we can't estimate the outcome. You can earn money in gambling until you if not good at strategy or how lucky you are. So you dont expect that you can really win. But then if you continue in gambling and you will try a big bet maybe youll win. Chances of winning in the long run is much lesser than in the short term. And if played just to make money form gambling then probably you would end up on the losing note as not many have being successful eventually at the end of the day. |

Not really on a daily basis but 3 to 4 times a week after I made a profit in trading I allocate an amount to see if I can transfer my luck to gambling, and sometimes I won but most of the time I lose, gambling is not for me but still I am entertained because of the excitement I've got.
Ensure that you always are in positive at the end of the week because your hard work in making money in trading should not get wiped off in gambling which means in the end you do not have anything inspite of making efforts every week. |

It's hard to predict the exact year or the right moment when this will happen, but I also think Bitcoin, and maybe Ethereum, will become mainstream and widely used in the future. Regarding Ripple, I don't agree at all.
Btc would be the king for that time and ETH could still be one of the best coins existing if seen it’s future demand and potential . It is also a time to keep some coins for the long term perspective as you would make a lot of money on this coins . |

This is a classic strategy by buying at a low price and to make a profit by selling when prices are higher, but also not easy to do because predicting price changes is difficult.
Best thing is to continue buying on dip as market will run way ahead than this prices of 8k levels. So better if you have money and can invest in crypto then keep buying some qty on every dip so that you have some good pool of btc over the period of time at best prices and make some reasonable gains from rise. |

Also, the pay grades should be in sync with the revenues they bring. If I am not wrong, the batsmen have more fans (in general) when compared to the bowlers. This is true that fast bowlers run are no more like Brett lee or some body like him who used to run a lot to deliver a ball. Yes but credit cannot be taken from the batsman who runs a lot even to take single or even if ball is going to boundary. They also have higher chances of injury as ball can hit them if they miss it. |

That's kind of family bonding, so it's just for fun but if it's serious game, I don't think it's good. If you were the parents, would you like your kids to learn gambling, especially that you know how addictive gambling is and they would turn them like you are. Gambling with family depends if it was just for fun, past time, etc, then I guess, it's not that bad.
There's no wrong to gamble with family that's alright, there are some cases like OP because they make serious on playing. I'd love to have fun with my family, but I think this is really an expensive way of having fun just try to encourage your family to have fun on other things so you can save your family and don't be like the family of OP. I think it is more fun to gamble with family as well at times because with friend you get carried away considering they are winning and you losing still you think you too can win and keep on playing. I think that no one can win in a scientific way in a game where you don't control anything.Betting on horse races has no clear pattern and is one of the most difficult to predict.There are people who corrupt the races for their own benefit and make a heavy underdog win the race, in this case is an example of you having no control on the outcome of the event.
Their cant be much pattern in the horse race as its not a mechanic machine which gives any random numbers. Its a living being and anything can happen when the human and living being are involved unless and untill it is fixed. |

If someone has got experience and can trade well then it is the best job as per me where you can make daily money. t times you may end up in loss but that is fine overall you should be good in making money on the monthly basis. |

Poker players very seldom hope for a good hand and try to make strategies out of whatever hand they get. Try watching professional poker games. It's about reading your opponent and making them commit mistakes.
Yes, skills do is needed with playing poker. The impossible is happening, I enjoy watching those professional poker leagues. Strong hands are losing while the weak ones wins. How is that possible? well bluff is the key and as said, you should be able to read your opponent's next move and on how they react with your move too. I'm not a professional poker player but I know how to play and I actually did those bluffs in real tables. People at poker become more better player when they get more experience and have hand on the game. So strategy and experience is what makes the player better at Poker and thus it is true to great extent that longer and effective you learn more better player you are in the poker. |

Various methods, but mostly paper wallets stored in only areas I am aware of. Not necessarily at my primarily dwelling at any given point in time.
If you do not require it for long time then offline storage is the best method . And if some has very less coins than can store in multiple wallets or exchanges which has good security so that you would have diversified your risk to different wallets . |

I already did store coins for myself,specialy bitcoin I have a separate wallet for future consumptions(hodling) and i got funds for current expenses and investments,people using crypto in the future is not imposible because of evolving technology
