In this match the middle order is performing extremely well, when the batsmen gets strong automatically a pressure gets developed over the bowlers. This can be now felt over the bowling from South Africa. This time we can see the score above 500 as the previous match. Anyhow by today India will declare. Other than Rohit everyone has scored a 50+ and Rahane is reaching close to the 50 runs. Mayank Agarwal start on both the test match has given a huge relief to India as they can build on partnership in middle order and get the score pass 400 easily . ^Oh you're right. I did say they'll easily win. Forgot to add "possibly win". Anyways, I like to lose these bets so I'll again bet on SA this time too. When i saw that part about an easy win on the final day i made the bet  . My advice for the second test is that be cautious as the Pune pitch used to help spinners a lot and then there is the weather issues in the past that could affect the pitch and i am expecting a spinning track and remember South Africa is not great against spinners and if it is a spinning track then guess what the result could be  . It would be a spinning track I too expect it. But hopefully climate remains good and we have complete match . Also would like to see if any changes would India team making it or going with same combination set of players . |

South Africa had no chance after losing early wickets, they couldn't put any partnerships together to even try and play for the draw. Ashwin has had an amazing career so far as in this match he tied with Muralitharan for the fastest to 350 wickets which took just 66 test matches. Could we see Ashwin overtake Muralitharan in the next 10 years? With the way he is bowling it wouldn't surprise me to see this happen.
South Africa is not a good team to perform that well in subcontinent wickets and Ashwin bowled really well in the first innings and Jadeja in the second innings but i was impressed with Mohammed Shami in the second innings where he was able to pick 5 wickets in a dead wicket in India and that too in the final day of the match is quite impressive, he was able to land the ball exactly in the cracks in the pitch and was able to extract the advantage and hence he was able to trouble all the batsman and that is how he was able to pick all the wickets is impressive. I think Indian bowlers came back really strongly after the first innings and this helped them to clinch some quick wickets in second innings which actually helped India to win the test match . Else till 4th day second session match was heading towards the draw likely the way SA team batted in first innings was splendid . |

The match might end in a draw if SA is able to play the entire day tomorrow as today being 4th day and India have lead of around 120 and would any today and say will have a lead by 350- 400 max if they bat fast . So only way to win is to get all out SA team tomorrow .

De Kock is the only one who is experienced to cover up the lead for South Africa. I was kinda expecting spinners to take some wickets but both Elgar and Faf Du plessis played some fine innings. Without their contribution I don't think they would have been able to chase the score. 3rd session of 3rd day now and we still have to go through Second Innings. I feel like this one is going towards draw being the likely outcome. We should give credit to SA's Batsmen they attacked the Ashwin-Jadeja effectively. I also feel that Indians were sloppy with their fielding. Saha dropped Elgar, Rohit dropped De Kock when he was around 15ish, Rahane was sleeping too  . Virat looked defensive with fielding positions. Jadeja was rusty too. Usually, he keeps run rate in check from opposite end but today he was expensive and surprisingly he didn't had a good day on the field also, call it off day I suppose. About Draw scenario: I have to agree with @Haunebu. The match can only get exciting from here. Only Rain and Kohli's decision (2nd Inning declaration) can act as a party pooper SA have really played well and credit goes to them as at a time we thought their could be follow on possibility if I’d is have them but now they are just 117 runs behind and 2 wickets left . India now will have to play some good cricket if they want to win the test from here . |

India is in total control of this game and SA still require 150 runs to avoid follow on and 6 wickets in hand . Just a thought if India wrap up before this and will they give SA follow on will they bat and let SA face the 4th innings pitch on 4th and 5th day if required .

Pakistan might have won the match but I think they failed to impress everyone during yesterday's match. Sri Lanka on the other hand showed some fight with its newbies. If they hadn't lost the 5 initial wickets, I think they would have had a fighting chance of winning the match. So, I think betting on Sri Lanka on tomorrow's match is worth the risk It was Pakistan home ground and expected to sweep it easily but with some courageous fight we got to see something worthy else it could have being just one sided match with no interest at all . Srilanka would like to give more chances to this youngsters which will help them in future . |

The second match between Tamil Thalaivas and U Mumba was an important match for U Mumba. Winning this match they have entered the playoff. If the match has got tie or lost they need to wait until the next match to take its place in the playoff. Tamil Thalaivas have a good team, but the small mistakes caused a huge difference by the second round starting. Somehow Tamil Thalaivas managed to reduce the score difference by the last minutes. Yes just a point ahead by Bengaluru , Mumbai was able to make it . Leading team is Delhi with 82 points followed by Bengal with 78 and Haryana at 65 points . Mumbai is at 4th with 59 points and quite good difference among top and 4th position team . |

Overdependence on Ashwin can backfire. Ashwin is a bowler who has performed poorly on normal tracks. Almost all of his good performances came on pitches which were doctored to suit him.
There is no doubt that the pitches starts to get cracks in the fourth and fifth day and it will be spinning tracks, Ashwin has a bag of tricks up his sleeves as well to trap the opponent and we have seen that throughout his career and one thing i noticed is that, everyone was performing to their optimal when Dhoni was the captain and when Kohli became the captain he started experimenting new players and hence there is a lot of competition for bowlers. Only if someone gets injured another player gets a chance which is weird considered India used to struggle to find genuine bowlers for decades. The pitches from fourth day will support spinners as in India the pitches are and that way and it supports as well . Now another thing is that rain is unpredictable and this year across India has being heavy rainfall so rain might also hit the game and pitch may just become more bad and so will be outfield . Accordingly team combination has to be selected . |

It was an amazing match ystd between Haryana and Fortune Gaints where Haryana defeated the giants by just one point and final score was 38-37. In another one sided match between Delhi and Pune , Delhi won by 20 points difference and score settled was 60-40.

I watched the Nepal vs Singapore match, and it was pretty exciting. Nepal is one of the emerging powers and their captain (Paras Khadka) slammed a century that day. And their leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane is quite popular across the globe, in the T20 format. I don't know much about Vanuatu or Malaysia, and I haven't heard about any of their players.

Let's name it Yeah everywhere this time rain has interrupted the match and this has being frustrating for players , audiences as well. Also they have only one big player in the team who is Rashid khan. If you remove him out of the team, the team is just ordinary which have no chance to win even against small teams. They should make themselves better before thinking of playing more series with better teams. Think of the Srilanka team in 1996 which had so many good players that they even won the world cup.
It is true that Rashid Khan is a good player but there is some good player besides Rashid in the Afghan team. Such as Hazratullah Zazai, Mohammad Nabi, and some new spinners. If you notice the last BPL series then you will find that Hazratullah Zazai played very well and the Mohammad Nabi also played IPL as an all-rounder. Yes now their are some new players which has emerged and helping the team not to just be depended on Rashid Khan . In a way it is good if considered from the team’s point of view . Last years IPL it was Rashid Khan performance which helped the team to come so ahead in the tournament . |
