Here are the original and modded BIOS roms based on the instructions. Both are for my set of GIGABYTE Aorus Radeon RX580 XTR 8G. However, no matter what I have tried, Windows 7 hangs as soon as the "Your VBIOS has been imported successfully" message and I have to hard reboot. Cards were definitely updated because as soon as I boot into EthOS, I get dready super high speed fans....and 17MH/S. Begging for help because these cards are just collecting dust instead of mining. Thank you so much! https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B1WcnHjlDkk4SXBuTXpDcFIwdE0?usp=sharingMemory is Samsung? It should be cause vendor is 0x21, but you better check it! I've insert Uber-Mix 3.1 to 2000Mhz so you need 2000 and more to be running. Check for mem errors. I don't have RX 5xx or even Gigabyte cards, so I can't really tell what you need more, TDP and clocks are set very high for stock... so I didn't change it, should be fine. BTW did you use GPU-Z for backup? RX 4xx bios have 256KB, but yours have 512KB? I think it's not right. Use ATI flash for backup. https://mega.nz/#!UiQETCLY!ZyIufYF4GALlWLyhjRGgr1denEG2NYTfRPjDBOV-mM4

Could elaborate please? Noob here. I know how to backup and flash via ATI Flash/Polaris Editor but don't know Ubermix.
So you know the basics, use backuped bios in Polaris and cope Uber-Mix timmings in 1750 and 2000. http://www.overclock.net/t/1604567/polaris-bios-editing-rx5xx-rx4xxGo here -> first post -> performance timings -> uber-mix 3.1 If you get lot of memory error try lower clocks it should go somewhere to 2100MHz but there is almost no difference between 2000MHz and 2100MHz with this timing... If it didn't work you need not so agressive timings. In that thread is Uber-Mix 3.2 you have to find it.

I had iGPU set to the primary. When I disabled iGPU everything started working fine.
Can you give some details about your BIOS settings and the operating system you are using. I could not make it work more than 3 cards with Win10 or SimpleMining OS. It's kinda weird to me too. But set bios to default, boot with igpu (in bios is better to have auto for gpu, it's still reseting to whatever it want...) Uninstall AMD drivers, use DDU Reboot or power off (now you have to connect all gpus if you don't have), also enable 4g above in bios Boot to windows again with igpu, look if you have all the gpus in manager (there will be only Basic Microsoft...) just the count matters (if not use DDU again check all the connectors) Now install latest AMD drivers, after that apply ATI patcher. Reboot (while turning off switch video cable to one of the GPU best is the one in mobo PCIE x16) to be sure go to bios check if 4g above is enabled and set primary gpu to auto again... Now it should boot with all GPUs I've tested 5 max, it's like ritual to boot this but once you get it you can reboot how many times you want it will boot with all the gpus hopefully. Hope I could help ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

On that first post there is nothing about UberMix. So where is some info about it and how to use it? I have read all pages of that thread but no one was able to give me right info. It looks like ubermix is just for some choosen ones...
OMG ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) guys If you read all the thread there is a lot off version of Uber-Mix. But I recommend 3.1. First post -> performance timings -> Uber-Mix 3.1. There is also 3.2 somewhere in the end of the thread if your GPU can't handle it... I have RX 470 Asus Strix with Samsung and Elpida and I have 818H/s with Elpida and 800 with Samsung on Monero. But I bet this one is the best for Samsung, but you could use google and find another there are plenty of them. In that thread first post is also tool to decode that straps and make your own timings ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) BTW all these timings is very hard to set, it tooks hours and hours for maker and testers, so you should be more thankful that they spread it to public...

Does anyone know how I can get Gigabyte Radeon RX580 Aorus (Samsung memory) to hash at 28+ Mine was going at 24MH/s on EthOS, I flashed it in Windows and now my 6 cards only go at 17MH/s per card.
Is it possible and how? Thank you!
1st post performance timings UberMix 3.1 http://www.overclock.net/t/1604567/polaris-bios-editing-rx5xx-rx4xx

112W are too high for 30mh. You can optimize it more.
even with free energy? ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Yep, lot of extra heat.

Multi rail needs care with powered risers. Each rail is like a diffe[Suspicious link removed]u. You should make sure each card gets powered by only one rail. Mixing rails with slightly different voltage can have per flowing between rails.
I think......
But I have no idea how would I do that. If I have molex PCIe risers how I could tell which one is same rail as PCIe 6 or 8 pin? I'm now using single rail with no problems.

I have 2 HX1200i's and I use the default settings which is multi-rail. You have a good power supply there. I haven't had any problems with mine. I run mine with a constant 1000w load.
i use what is the default and on my rm 1000i is multi rail, multi rail is safer yes, it can spread better the wattage if you need it in multiple components, i heard somethign like this, single rail it's not used anymore, as there was some risky with it
Thx guys. So I will use multi too ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Hi Guys,
I've just bought 6 RX580 from Sapphire (nitro+ 8gb) and I discovered that the memory is HYNIX. I've played around for some days to achieve a good hasrate but unfortunately the maximum I've got is 25.2 / 25.5. I've seen a lot of video on youtube, read tons of threrad here but when I flash bios and change some value on GPU clock or Memory I can't get more.
I read for the HYNIX memory the value to change on timings is the 2:1750 to 2:2000 and actually it's the only way to get more (instead of changing 1:1750 to 1:2000). My problem is when I try to change memory clock (standard 2000mhz) every mhz up will be result on worst hashrate. A good compromise is underclok the GPU (1066 or 1033 mhz) and undervolt it (-100mv) while the memory is always 2000mhz and I got 25mh/s on 95w.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
Try 1625Mhz or even 1500MHz, but it couldn't work at all, try it on 1 card and only for 2000MHz. You could try some performance optimized timings, but they are hard to find. Best is UberMix but this one is only for Samsung. Uh... 1625Mhz, on THAT Hynix (the shit kind rated for 2000 actual and ending in MJR) is not gonna work well. 1500Mhz timings are gonna suck worse. Well yeah... you could find good timings in here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1604567/polaris-bios-editing-rx5xx-rx4xxMaybe this? I will try this one later. https://forum.bits.media/index.php?/topic/38510-ethtaimingirx470480570580-optimizirovannye-taimingi/Also I don't have any Hynix, only Elpida and Samsung so I can't really say...

I have same mobo, only tried 4 GPUs, but working good. It sometimes doesn't boot, but it's seems problem with gpu drivers... So set bios to default boot with igpu, use DDU (remove and power off), after that connect all the GPUs, you don't need 4G above for 3 cards, but you can use it. It should boot with low res, install drivers and reboot again, now it should be working good. I had problem with boot too, than Windows show boot repair options, it eneded with error but now it's start loading like Windows 7 loader instead of Windows 10 loader ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) No problem since then. Is your settings for the following items are set to Auto, Gen1 or Gen something else? Advanced-->System Agent (SA) Configuration--> PEG Port Configuration Advanced-->System Agent (SA) Configuration--> DMI/OPI Configuration Advanced--> PCH Configuration--> PCI Express Configuration Thanks. Yes, 4 cards working good. Only 4G above enabled and I turned off those leds.

Hi, do you use single or multiple rails PSU? I have Corsair HX1200 and I can switch to both so I wonder which is better? Or which one you use? I read that multiple is safer. Is that right?

I have Asus Strix RX 570 Oc 4Gb. Bad graphic card
What is problem? I have Strix 470 and it's pretty lovely card, very stable and cooling is the best I saw, only no heatsink on memory... Maybe the con is Elpida memory type, but 4GB version is not using Samsung one very often... I ordered another Strix 470 for testing with performance timings so I hope it could be even better. Now I'm getting around 700H/s on XMR.

This might be a Little off topic i went to buy a another 570 I ended up buying a GTX 1060 which btw I hate NVIDIA cards but building a small home farm month by month ... any way the 570 are either out of stock and over priced , i might as well buy a GTX 1070 for what some are trying to sell some 570's for,the one i have i paid 178 when they fist came out , i just hope it's because of no stock in the US i found some are tiring to sell them at GTX 1070 prices or more, the 570 aren't that good.
IS there something going on ?. i can't seem to find info on the Webb why the 570 went up so much in price other then supply and demand .....
It's all over the world, not enough chips? I'm buying RX 4xx series, returned cards for good prices.

In the VBIOS, can you set the memory voltage?
No, it's always 1V, controller can be undervolt.
|
|
|
And you lower mem voltage too ? -cvddc AND -mvddc with same values ?
You can't set memory voltage... only memory controller.
|
|
|
What are the cons? I'm only using this machine for mining.
Look at the forum where you download the patcher, all info there.
