AS SOON as I put it into the HUB, my AMU 1 (BE) unit gets continuous HW errors, and reports speeds of like 500+ ghps.

Check the power output on your hub.

Agreed.  This screams power issues.

I run my hubs off the same PSU I run my Blades off, so there's 80A getting rammed up the hub's chuff.  Never any issues with power. Wink  I did have similar issues when I ran the hubs off the power bricks supplied with the hub.
1762  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: GUIminer doesnt see ASIC USB Eruptor on: November 12, 2013, 09:11:56 PM
The latest version of GUIMiner is nearly a year old, and even that was a bodge job to get stratum working properly. That's an eternity in Bitcoin terms.  It's pointless old crap now, really.

what should I check next?

How to upgrade to a recent version?

Good one Helldiver
But I just when back to 3.1.4 because that was the only one that worked I have 3.5.1 installed  Now they all just hang when I start them.

Have you tried clearing out your .conf file?  Any time BFG craps out like that on me, it's something broken in the bfgminer.conf...

me too...   back up and remove that .conf

I removed it yesterday, deleted everything on this computer and restalled everything about 2 hours ago and it still doing the same thing.  I did everything that I could think of also read through most of the thread bitcointalk.

Where is bfgminer?  If it's somewhere in your user folder, it may be a permissions issue.

Copy the bfgminer folder to the root of c: and see if that helps.

Pencil trick working here too.  Shame about the HW errors.

OK, got 3.6.0 on.  Had to do it manually, rather than via LuCI.  Roll Eyes

Still showing 100% errors.

Edit: Did you get around the hidapi thing then?

Initial testing on 3.5.2 on OpenWRT is still showing 100% errors. Sad

Set source manually to src/gz bfgminer http://luke.dashjr.org/programs/bitcoin/files/bfgminer/3.6.0/openwrt/12.09/ar71xx - it's still showing 3.5.2 as latest...

Due to OpenWRT not supporting the BlueFuzzies, I'm moving over to RPi - really don't want to be running a PC just to run a pair of Blues...
The endian issues with the BigPictureMining driver should be fixed in 3.5.2+ - do you still have problems on OpenWrt?

I didn't try it with 3.6.0 - I'll try it later and see how it goes.

Edit: 3.5.2 is showing as the latest on OpenWRT...
1770  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How can you sure your cloud service does the thing? on: November 12, 2013, 05:42:41 PM
Surely the same applies to any pool?  50BTC for example, has left pretty much everyone out of pocket when their Gibson was hax0red.

1772  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: November 12, 2013, 05:26:48 PM
Does the version of bfgminer on MinePeon have the getwork proxy?

It should if you git pull the latest Minepeon.  I see BFGMiner 3.5.1 on mine which definitely has the proxy.

Excellent, thanks. Cheesy
1773  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: November 12, 2013, 03:41:46 PM
Does the version of bfgminer on MinePeon have the getwork proxy?

I'm looking to replace my OpenWRT system with a RPi/MinePeon system, and I need to use getwork proxy for my ASICMiner Blades.
1774  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Internet bandwidth requirements for ASIC's on: November 12, 2013, 03:29:03 PM
A few tens of kilobytes per second.  You could mine OK on a 128Kb ISDN line.  It'd be tight, but it'd work.
1775  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Are you using any Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) to protect your HW? on: November 12, 2013, 03:26:08 PM
For a cheap UPS the CyberPower units are fine.  Fancy LCD display, and seem pretty reliable.

I'm lost with all the changes.  Is the getwork proxy available on RaspberryPi?

Due to OpenWRT not supporting the BlueFuzzies, I'm moving over to RPi - really don't want to be running a PC just to run a pair of Blues...

1778  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your worst injury? on: November 12, 2013, 01:01:23 PM
Busted knee from accidentally driving a 68-ton EMD locomotive in to the back of a parked line of flatbed wagons.  Disused line + weeds = no grip.   Embarrassed

A year later (just before the surgery for the knee) missed the last step on the stairs and sprained my ankle.  Sprained ankle on one leg, knee surgery on the other.   Roll Eyes  Oddly, the knee was better long before the ankle.

It's only 4X and 8X slots that need to be open-ended to take 16X cards.
