1761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Overview on DeFi - a new hot trend in crypto on: July 31, 2020, 04:58:17 AM
Decentralized Finance has taken the industry by storm and the concept has continue to gain great momentum and recognition with a lot of projects springing up with the idea of #DeFi. Unfortunately, this is giving rise to a whole lot of scams and half baked projects. One must really be careful about investing in any cryptocurrency project claiming to be a decentralized Finance project.

2020 is the year of Defi projects, after the hard experience from the pandemic, the market is slowly coming back so is the economic activities, eth is on the rise because of Defi projects according to some, this is just the beginning of what will come afterwards, it looks like this new trend will be the preferred concept by many developers, many Defi related projects will come but only few will be genuine hence it is very important to be vigilant.
1762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you going to keep quit about bitwings? on: July 30, 2020, 06:30:26 AM
It's going to be lots of trouble for the company if they fail to pay bounty hunters in the end, I doubt they will live up to their standard because making that much ethereum from a cloud mining phone is a big lie, doesn't make any sense but I will like to see how this will go

I really doubt they will be affected in the way you think... not that am in support of their behavior... Just that other project have done what they are doing now to hunters and get away with it without being affected, the lack of appropriate body to report issues like this is the reason why I think this will be another similar case like digitalbits, Jinbi and the likes,
Although I would sincerely hope to see this guy's receive the punishment for screwing hunters over to serve as lesson to others.
1763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Extstock scam or legit? on: July 30, 2020, 05:14:12 AM
I'm still wondering why people are still joining less popular or even unknown crypto exchanges in the web when they always have the choice to trade in reputable ones. It's like inviting yourselves to a scam waiting to happen. It's really not worth your money to try out new exchanges first since you know that there is a lot of history on less reputable exchanges locking out accounts or freezing their money for unknowing reasons. Also did their support contacted you already? If so what was the reason they prohibited your account from withdrawing?

Yeah, because such exchange often turns out to be scam or shady, many of this unpopular exchange are not to be trusted, you will discover that their customer service is active the way it should, so even if you encounter any problem while using the exchange, there is hardly any help that will come your way, they just use the exchange as a trap for innocent people,
It is better to be mindful of the exchange we use especially if they are hardly known by the crypto community.
1764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not fall for all DeFi HYPES on: July 29, 2020, 02:14:49 PM
Investors are looking for what will generate more profit to their investment,  and now defi projects seem to be the perfect option for them to do so, ofcourse not all the defi project are for long term base, some are just created for a short term, hype, pump and dump,
Scammers will certainly create their own defi to deceive investors, so it is important that people take care and not rush into any defi project that pop up in the market.

So why do I think this has the potential to grow and multiply by the hundreds your investment in the next few years? Its because as said before this company targets the mass market without requiring the costumers to have any knowledge about cryptocurrencies. Customers can buy the service with their credit cards and the system automatically converts them to INXT(their token), investing that fiat money the market in exchange for the token that is used to pay hosts. This means that there will be a growing flow of fiat money to that market buying from sell orders driving the price upwards.

In my opinion, project with good utility and real use case will prevail, this are the type of project that will be successful in the long term,  imagine when many people start to buy and use their services in a large number and that money is injected back into the project, this will definitely push the price, ones the demand of their service grow so will be the price, I hope the team will stay dedicated to the project.
1766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best deFI tokens out there on: July 29, 2020, 10:37:15 AM

This coin has been listed at Kucoin and at times it has increased by more than 20x and this is an investment that brings huge profits to investors.

This is one of the Defi projects that many people are interested in and I also participate but I'm not lucky because I can not buy this coin. There are still other potential projects besides PlutusDeFi and it is advisable to spend some time researching because the Defi trend is being talked about a lot.

It is very possible because I read that seed round price was at $0.01 which has really given investors nice profit considering the currentprice at $0.20, they also engage in token burn to reduce the circulation and maybe this will help the price of token in the long run, defi project are becoming popular and so far most are doing well in terms of price so am guessing this is a good investment.
1767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: July 27, 2020, 05:36:07 AM
In corona Pandemic, I have no job to earn. So I am joining several campaigns from bitcointalk?

What are you doing now?

Then you are doing the right thing, all you have to do is look for a bit legit projects (because 90% of them are shit and scam) in the bounty section, you can do all campaigns in if you find a good project, this will boost the amount of tokens you can earn in a single campaign, when you do video, social media, Signature and translation (if you know how) by then have earn much. But bare in mind that this reward will not be paid to you immediately, this varies from project to project, but bottom line is you are earning some tokens that may have value in the near future.
1768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too dumb to undrstand on: July 27, 2020, 04:27:11 AM
This is why I tried to tell my sister to just buy byc from me lol that way she won't be sending her information to anyone. Even cashing out BTC actually will still make you not anonymous.
You will have to submit data to any 3rd party you will use for recieving fiat.

The only anon transaction is when you send BTC to another BTC address if that's what you look for.

That's a brilliant idea from your part, if the op can have someone trusted to buy from would be his best option, or he can look at the few dex we have around and decide, unfortunately buying btc from cex is a pain now, everyone must go through kyc in other to access them otherwise you can't do anything about it.
1769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum : Its not too late on: July 26, 2020, 05:49:40 PM
Am really impressed about eth price movement this few days, I got the $300+ notification from coingecko this morning, this is how eth price behave, anytime the price decide to move, it moves fast, even btc hit 10k today, if your target is long term, then of course it is not late at all, between I believe the price might correct back down to buy from the dip.
1770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hidden altcoin gem on: July 26, 2020, 03:25:23 PM
Literally lots of alts are making moves right now after bitcoin break past $9400. TA wise it's not that surprising. You can find 10 more coins that do +50% in a single day.

Of, and if a partnership with Paypal or something like that is true, maybe newspapers talk about it everywhere. I don't see one though. Unless you mean you can use Paypal to buy NWC, which is probably gonna happen to other coins too. Might as well said has a partnership with Amazon when you use their AWS Cloud.

It’s indeed true. You log in to the NewsCrypto platform and on the dashboard just click “Buy NWC”. From there, you’ll see the Paypal option. When you click on that, a popup window from Paypal will come out and complete the payment either with your Paypal balance or credit/debit card. They also accept direct Visa and Mastercard payment as well.

I verified it myself and it was indeed for real. NewsCrypto’s Paypal integration is taking a huge step for others to adopt this popular payment processor in purchasing cryptocurrencies. NWC’s on a roll!

Yeah I just followed the link on your signature to their website and it looks pretty impressive, although I usually see this sig with you but never occur to me to enquire more about it, a partnership with PayPal is certainly huge one, this will draw more attention to the the project, I like the fact that they are self funded, which means they are ready for business.
By the way, is this a free advertising you are doing for this project wearing their sig or they have a campaign here in forum?
1771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sell or keep holding HEX? already gained 50x on: July 25, 2020, 01:53:18 PM
You have already made a huge profit out of your investment, in my opinion I would say sell 80% and leave 20% for future price pump if it happens, 20% is enough for you to ride whatever price it will be in future, because as it is nobody knows if the price will Sustainable or will dump, for you not to lose out I think you should consider selling some, just my opinion.
1772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 VS Cardano | Earning Passive Income in Cryptocurrency STAKING! on: July 24, 2020, 08:05:21 AM
I think I will go with cardano on this mainly because of the price difference, ada is relatively cheap in price and almost anyone can afford to buy a good some for staking to bring decent profit, eth on the other hand is already expensive, and for you to get a good return, you will require some decent amount which is not cheap at all, so, my verdict goes with cardano, they are both solid project.  Cool
1773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Testnet finally less than 2 weeks, ETH Dominance 10%...Are YOU ready? on: July 24, 2020, 07:33:05 AM
I am really looking forward the launch of Ethereum 2.0, I am sure it will be amazing and will boost Ethereum blockchain speed and adoption significantly. Still, I am not sure it will be launched this year.

Yeah, the time is gradually getting closer for the launch, yesterday eth was on fire,  sometimes eth can be very surprising when the price is ready to increase rapidly,  with the upcoming eth 2.0 launch i think it will not only boost the network speed but also will boost the price, i will like to be optimistic and hope the launch will occur as scheduled.
1774  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance compared to other Crypto Exchange. on: July 23, 2020, 10:07:52 AM
Bittrex has lost ot far back as at 2017, Binance leverages in the incompetencies and shortcoming to build an exchange that will be most welcome to the crypto community and that is what we are witnessing it today. As at today, in terms of user experience, liquidity, services etc, Bittrex cannot contend in the top 40, an exchange that has one be in the leader seat
Bittrex also does not understand the problem of their traders as I had a issue where I mistakenly deposited waves platform bitcoins into their address and when I asked them please can they help me out then they just denied me and told me there was no way to recover it. I know it is my fault but a true exchange should listen to it's members.

I feel so peace of mind when I trade at binance because it feels like safe as a bank and their support team quickly replies and is actually very friendly. I don't trade much but whatever trades and buy/sell of coins I make, it happens all on binance because they are just too far ahead of their competitors.

Exactly bro, the feeling of trading on Binance is not comparable to other exchanges, Binance customer care are always ready to take care of all your needs no matter how complicated they might appear to be,
Once upon a time bittrex was my favourite exchange but since the time they had a change of interface, I was no longer enjoying being around that exchange, to me bittrex fell from top to bottom,
Binance on the other hand work their way up so carefully, from bottom to top with a gap far ahead from the rest, do we still wonder why Binance is at the top on cmc! Everyone can agree they deserve it.
1775  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Finding Altcoins With Potential on: July 23, 2020, 09:51:27 AM
^ When you say 10x profit, this project seems like a Ponzi scheme, is that right?
I don't want to have investment hanging around, without closure if there is really a potential profit.
Definitely right, you can't force people here in the forum to invest because all here know how to have research. Much better if we prefer on bitcoin and stick on it while the dominance was slowing down.

What do you see in the project that made you think it is ponzi! Are they offering any percentage for investment or base on referral program! I understand this is some what new project and people should be careful how they invest on new project this days, too many scams in the market it makes it difficult to really know which is good or bad,
I believe the @op is just sharing his thoughts base on his experience with the project,  nobody can tell if this can make 10x or less, this are all speculation base on the project potential yet not a guarantee, it is up to everyone to do their due diligence before taking any step.
1776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Working for 4 to 6 or 12 weeks even 6 month's, ending up unsatisfied on: July 22, 2020, 08:58:00 AM
life on its own is not fair, people use others to get to a position in life, same thing in bounty hunting or investment, the whales are in control of the market, they have the funds to contribute to new projects, they receive big bonus for their contribution and eventually dump on small investors and bounty hunters,
when this dump happen, the blame will be on hunters regardless if the reward for hunters has been distributed or not,
it is like a vicious circle, where the whales buy, sell and re-buy from bellow, there is hardly anything you can do and if you are a hunter and work a long time on a bounty and you get little or nothing from your work, you have to accept it, you can't do anything, even if you try it will still result to same outcome, in other to avoid wasting time on worthless bounties, try and really look for a unique project to campaign for, the market is saturated with shit project hence it is important to look for something worth the time.
1777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin dominance falling, time to bag in some alts? altcoin party? on: July 22, 2020, 06:57:57 AM
Look before you leap i would say, yes the btc dominance is reducing but still not enough to go jump into alts at this moment, one thing i have come to understand, market is unpredictable, any unexpected thing can happen, btc have been stable for quite some time now and many people have different interpretation to it, but whatever the case maybe, i won't start buying alts just yet, even if you must buy, then stick to the well known top alts, avoid newly listed just because they have low market cap.
1778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Allegedly Coinbase prevented 1,000 customers From Sending Funds to the Hackers on: July 21, 2020, 02:51:09 AM
Crypto exchange Coinbase has said that it prevented little over 1,100 customers from sending bitcoin to Twitter hackers who hijacked high-profile accounts to advertise a bitcoin scam last week.

If Coinbase didn't take the step, these customers would have collectively sent 30.4 bitcoin (currently worth about $278,000) to hackers, the exchange's chief information security officer, Philip Martin, told Forbes. Notably, this amount is more than twice the actual amount ($121,000) that hackers collected via victims.

https://www.theblockcrypto.com/post/72200/coinbase-says-it-prevented-over-1000-customers-from-sending-280000-worth-of-bitcoin-to-twitter-hackers

---

Excellent operational work. If all exchanges had taken such measures in time, the hackers would probably have received significantly less.
What do you think?

Very good move by the coinbase team, but i wonder how they managed to figure this out that the receiver's address is for hackers or they where just being suspicious?
If other exchange were more observant as coinbase was, they would have been able to prevent those who fall victim from sending their funds across,  am still finding it hard to believe people can just send over their money so easily to any information they come across online without any proper verification.
1779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO might soon become an history in crypto world soon on: July 18, 2020, 06:53:32 PM
Eventually project team will make the decision of which fundraising system will be much better for them to raise funds to support their project, I also think ieo are not 100% the sure way to raise funds especially for new startup projects because the conditions of some exchange are often too difficult for this new project to meet up with, at the end, the project will not be able to raise the desired funds required to start project development,
Am not very familiar with dyco but whatever will be better and much secure for new projects to raise funds will be a great idea, if dyco system of fundraising will be better than what we have at present, then I think project team should make their decision accordingly.
1780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: IDEX Market Google Store SCAM ALERT on: July 18, 2020, 06:35:39 PM
It's crazy considering how much time it takes nowadays to publish a normal app in google play store and how strict their reviews are but see this one scam app could go through easily. I must admit that google play really bad in term of reviewing apps in google playstore compared to app store. Maybe, security is not their first concern.

I don't think so much time is being put in anymore to publish an app in Google store this days because I think this is the second thread am reading about a possible scam app on Google play store within 2 days,
if they are actually as strict as you said then such app won't find their way in the app store in the first place,
Yeah I can agree with their should I call it weakness in security,
maybe a critical look into all the various apps we have on Google play store will reveal even more similar scam app who knows.
