881  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on a recovery mode on: September 09, 2021, 02:33:46 PM
There is no need keeping tabs in every btc drops because the market always finds a way to recover, the dip was sudden and took most people unawares but good thing the market is gradually coming back, most of my alts drop by 10% - 15% as well, glad to see them back green.
882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Babel Fish | Money Protocol on: September 08, 2021, 06:40:29 PM
Yeah for a long term investor this is the perfect time to dca if they buy high, and for new buyers the best time to get in especially those who couldn't participate in the fish sale, I know many people complained of not being able to buy (myself included) here is an opportunity,  fortunately for me I bought during launch,  sold close to ath, and ready to dive in again, probably will hold for sometime depending on the market situation.
883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto dip today on: September 08, 2021, 06:33:12 PM

I think the dip already happened yesterday and it was also a pretty hefty dip. Bitcoin went down from 50k to almost 44k in just 30 minutes, so that was definitely more than just a normal correction. The same happened with ETH, it went down from 3.700$ to 3.100 $ within 30 minutes. I am still not sure though what has caused this massive and fast price crash. Maybe it was because BTC is now an official method of payment in El Salvador and this did not have any positive effect on the price so that many people became nervous and decided to cash out some profits? At least it seems now that the dip have stopped and BTC is now again pretty stable at around 46k.

It would have been the opposite with the El Salvador news but it seem odd and very unusual with that sudden and unexpected dip, El Salvador case should have been something positive enough to spike the price not dumping it, I don't think this is the case, perhaps something different from it, although very hard to say, am looking out to see a better explanation to the sudden dip, am positive about the market so no panic sell for me.
884  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can you make money day trading Bitcoin? on: September 08, 2021, 06:22:43 PM
Don't you think the title should be adjusted to fit the content of your post since from the writeup it shows you understand trading much better than some of us, anyone who aspire to take trading as a full-time job should be ready to equip himself with enough knowledge to succeed, trading is time consuming, challenging and needs lots of patience to manage the outcome (profit/loss).
885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Babel Fish | Money Protocol on: September 07, 2021, 01:51:07 PM
The hype on sov was much higher than that or fish, sov had pomp and his syndicate that support the project from the beginning and there was much influence on the project, that support the price a lot at the launch period, fish has no such support, only listed on Sovryn platform, not much exposure atm,so a lot of patience is required.
886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Cardano hit $3? on: September 07, 2021, 01:37:33 PM
It is possible but nobody can tell you the exact time or date when this will happen, Cardano is a solid project that has been proven overtime with consistent development of project, price is already in a good place to easily attain the $3 target, I hold some ada as well so I expect something positive in due time.
887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stocks Vs Crypto, Which is Better? on: September 07, 2021, 01:07:08 PM
I really do not think one is better than the other because they both have advantage and disadvantage,  crypto is high risk but gives good returns depending on your understanding and level of patience,  stock is less risk but won't give high returns as crypto, stock is less volatile while crypto is, at the end it all depends on individual preferences.
888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Accumulation time is coming guys on: September 07, 2021, 12:40:31 PM
I think accumulation already ongoing for some time now, some already accumulating since last time the market drop a lot,
I also top up my btc bag when price drop to 32k and I know many people did same thing too with other good project, some good alts like sol, avax, icp, ada I also bought few, although I dispose my sol quickly thinking it will correct but unfortunately it keeps growing, am holding the rest let's see how market react.
889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The introduction of NFT has made the world become selfish, called it adoption on: September 06, 2021, 07:53:26 AM
The idea is to make the art sector inclusive in blockchain, give art creators a decentralize space to showcase their creativity, but it seems the trend has create more interest and hype than expected, i don't think it has anything to do with selfishness, it is normal for people to show much interest in the new trend happening, crypto has more people showing interest in it than before because the trend still keep growing, it is the same with nft.
890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never judge a token by it's name, Dev aren't your friend on: September 06, 2021, 07:36:55 AM
I saw Cake at 0.5 and thought that was overrated, after all, a financial project called "Pancake" with a token called "Cake" couldn't be serious. I followed it for 1 month and when I saw it, it shot to 8 dollars, so I waited for it to fall and bought the 6. It was one of the best moves I made, but still, I ended up missing the timing, because it reached 40 dollars and I ended up selling it at 15, in that insane fall

Not everyone who get into btc at early stage were able to make good profit out of it as well, hold is easy to pronounce but not easy to practice after all, if you had exercise some patience to hold for a little while you would have rip more from your investment, however, you should consider yourself lucky to have sold high instead of the other way, bottom line is patience is important on potential project in other to rip maximum benefit.
891  Economy / Economics / Re: El Salvador retirees protest against Bitcoin as legal tender on: September 06, 2021, 03:29:47 AM
I'm not sure why they are protesting this?

They're essentially getting a free injection of capital because of BTC. If any other country was getting citizenship requests that are backed by millions of dollars in pledged investment to my home country I'd accept them in a heartbeat.

Just some archaic thinking. Let it sit for a while and they'll change their minds for sure.

People don't adapt to change so easily, I guess this protesters are not yet fully understand how the crypto space operates and what benefits they can actually enjoy by using it, perhaps there should more awareness on this fir better understanding to enable easy acceptance.
892  Economy / Economics / Re: Where to invest my 10,000 USD on: September 06, 2021, 03:24:47 AM
I recently got 10,000 USD after my FD (Fixed deposit) matured and now i want to invest all those in the crypto world as the returns are best here.
Please suggest me different places where i can invest these 10,000 USD in the crypto currency world as i never done big investement in crypto before so please give me some ideas.

I suggest that you don't just put everything in crypto.

$10k USD is a nice chunk of change and I'd probably allocate around 50% of this to stocks and 50% to crypto. That way you make sure that regardless of what the outcome with stock market or the crypto markets are, you are able to fall back on a safety plan.

Also, have you got an emergency fund? Generally 6 months of your expenses is a good place to start.

And let's assume he only wants to invest in crypto, my two suggestions will be btc and eth, the two most safest crypto in the market, buy if he wants to risk it, then he can add some known alts, but with that money and being a newbie in the crypto space, btc and eth is the right place to put it. Hope you made a good choice.

894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do crypto projects get funding? on: August 28, 2021, 09:09:20 AM
Private investors should be first on the list, in most cases they are the reason why some project even get the chance to see the light of day, without the financial support of this people some project will not exist, most Private investors are taking a risk in investing on what is still a dream before it becomes a reality, ieo, sto ido only happens much later and can be considered as 50% of walk done already,  the real risk takers are the early investors and this is why they often get a larger percentage when the project becomes active and known.
895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't invest more than you can afford to lose? on: August 28, 2021, 09:00:54 AM
High risk high reward some people will say, if you don't take a bold step you can not make it big, and on the other hand, it is advice to invest what we can afford to lose, very good advice but if you are looking to make it big, you may have to come out of your comfort zone, all investment involves risk reason why it is important we understand this risk and be prepared for whatever the outcome, to me, I would take a chance with a trusting project but not in the sense of investing my life savings - not at all, only invest more than usual so that the end result will be satisfactory.
896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is EOS dead? on: August 28, 2021, 08:51:22 AM
not over, not only EOS but there are many like this,, Ltc xmr dash is also the same actually... many focus on the top 1 - 5 coinmarketcap especially on BTC and #Ethereum, the community on the platform is also quite large, it's just that we need to wait for the right time, if BTC continues to be bullish atlsesion will also follow and hopefully can go to ATH,

People are more interested in new projects now that brings better chances of profit than old reluctant project, all this project you mentioned fall into this category, nft and defi are  the-in-thing and everyone wants a piece of the pie unfortunately, eos may be doing well development wise but popularity wise they are not, too many attractive projects to choose from which makes it hard to pay attention to old ones, in the exception of btc and eth of course.
897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why such high fees in ETH? on: August 27, 2021, 06:32:50 PM
Tell me about it, the gas fee is just getting worse am afraid, everyone expected the fork to fix this gas issue but apparently we are stuck with this, whether we like it or not we must pay high gas fees to transfer any erc20 project,  this is reason why chain like solana are striving high and gaining more traction, I can't seem to understand what is happening to eth, I don't think this issue can be address anymore, better new devs start looking for alternatives.
898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Solana Pump on: August 27, 2021, 05:48:36 PM
I finally got some sol coins to hold long term, the way I see the movement of sol, it can hit $100 in no time, even though I seem late to the party it is better than when sol become trading at bnb current price,  I believe it is very possible to see sol that high in the near future, as long as the network keeps developing and expanding sol price will be unstoppable.
899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Big sad on: August 27, 2021, 05:38:09 PM
I havnt been paying attention to the price of my crypto due to school, and other stuff going on. A month ago I turned 2/3 of my cardano into bitcoin. I looked today to check my gains/losses. I would have doubled my investment if I kept my cardano. I am not gonna let it get to me, but it could have been pretty cool if I held it. hats off to the people that have the patience to hold coins going nowhere for a while.

Hold sound simple but sometimes appear to be the most hardest thing to do, not everyone has the patience to hold to long enough to profit from it, I also miss the opportunity to buy Cardano below $2 but I hesitated and the opportunity slip through me, this things happen, we can't always get it right but we can try, and if you are in for long term, it is not later to buy ada at current price because there is lots of potentials to be seen.
900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South African Man Loses $900,000 Worth Of BTC After Accidentally Deleting Keys on: August 26, 2021, 06:35:37 PM
One thing is for sure, I don't want to be in his shoes, I don't know how I will react to such a grave mistake, am just feeling really bad for this fellow,  crypto is a very sensitive space and things like keys and wallet phrase should be properly kept in a secured place because once anything happened to this phrase and keys, uour asset has gone down the drain, this is such a bad situation.
