1761  Economy / Economics / Re: How to spend money determines whether you can avoid unnecessary problems on: May 15, 2023, 06:33:43 AM
Life is all about choice. People tend to spend their money on what is important to them. But I totally agree with your examples on how people spend money on what they don't necessarily need. Recently, I was guilty of this wasteful spending. I did a monthly Netflix subscription and I just watched one movie for less than three hours because I had no time to watch movies. I regretted this financial waste and will never try it again.

Many people claim that their earnings is not enough but they can afford to buy several bottles of beer for friends in a bar. They would buy shoes or clothing that they don't even need. I have a friend that bought five pair of shirts and forget that he bought anything like that. He later saw the shirts wrapped inside his wardrobe after seven months. He doesn't really need them.

If you are a low or average income earners, the only way you can save is to spend on mostly basic needs and avoid spending for fun or pleasure. Food, clothing, housing and other important expenses should be paramount. Others can be set aside until ones income has been diversified or increased.

Yes you are right, some people pretend that they are financial week or they can't mange their needs with their basic income but actually they are not able to manage their money in right way . I have seen one of my collogue purchase E newspaper subscription  for 1 year which cost was around 1k but right after 2 weeks he was start having less interest on such news because of his personal work he had no time and latter on he regretted he have done waste of money but he never learn from mistake what he have done and at the end of the month he always have financial crisis.

The truth is these problems are so common, so common that we can still trace it back in the days of yore. It's not that we lack money because it doesn't really matter whether we are having a steady income of few thousands on a weekly basis or not, it's our discipline towards the money is the problem. We tend spend it like we have an endless source, only to find out that we're already out of it before the next pay slip comes.

I'm speaking from experience because I've been there and done that, but fortunately, I got out of that toxic situation and managed to get some help about how to end purchasing my nonsense needs.
1762  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: May 14, 2023, 05:22:04 PM

Salamat kabayan!

Boston Celtics -6.5 @ 1.91
1763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where is Satoshi? on: May 14, 2023, 04:56:32 PM
These problems can be sorted out smoothly without having the creator's help, Satoshi Nakamoto.

I mean what is the use of the bitcoin's developing team right now if they can't even solve this kind of problem, moreover, we shouldn't forget that bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency which that means that Satoshi's role is already finished when he successfully created bitcoin and its blockchain. We never know for sure, he might be working behind the shadow right now using another pseudonym to help resolve the existing issues.
1764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Cas Nghitumbwa imero vs(May 13) on: May 14, 2023, 05:37:20 AM
Many options to choose from but it makes it even harder to choose Grin

I personally will bet on Casimero via decision @ 5.40 and throw some few for Casimero to finish the fight within 10-12 @ 6.40 .. I know that Casimero is looking forward to make some statement in this fight to make a huge climb in the ladder but I will not rule out the factor that Casimero's opponent might turn this into a survival game again. Just to be sure though that's why I took the decision and 10-12, but that's not even guaranteed hehe.
Somehow my bet went through just like how I imagined that this will end in the judge's hand.

Anyway, Congratulations to all bettors who also won this bout, and for John Riel Casimero of course! Cool

Anyway, many fans are looking forward for Casimero to fight Inoue but with his current performance, I don't think it's sufficient to defeat the monster. But at least he won and it's a good opportunity for him to have a bigger match. So congrats to Casimero.

But don't worry yet because that fight will not happen anytime soon. Casimero will continue to fight to improve his ranking, while Inoue has been given an exemption not to go through the journey that Casimero had, since Inoue's championship fight was rescheduled for this July. Let's see the outcome of that, and if Inoue wins, well, maybe Casimero will have a chance to fight him if he becomes a top challenger, assuming Inoue doesn't go directly into a unification fight.

Yes, soon enough that will certainly happen as long as Casimero will continue building his own hype and winning his bouts as well.
As per https://www.boxingscene.com/rankings, John Riel Casimero is now on the #5 in WBO's rankings which give him good chances to fight the winner of Fulton vs Inoue or the Mexican Panter, Luis Nery next. Hopefully that will happen this year too.
1765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Keep hodling your Bitcoin on: May 14, 2023, 05:02:31 AM
Most of the people that post such a subject are to encourage new people in Bitcoin because for anybody who has been in the system for more than a year won't be scared about the drop in the price but rather look forward to when there will be a pump in the market.

It's not that new and if you have been here in the forum for a few yeas now then this type of discussion should not surprise you.

Fact is, it is easy to say those words that we should keep on holding our assets despite the market's declination because that is what we should do. But in reality, we cannot really blame these types of investors who gets easily scared in time they see a declination because in the first place, it is their money and not ours, they are in control of it and we are not.

I reckon that we should let them be because as an investor, we should know what we're trying to get into and these declinations are just normal just like how the price increase are normal. Let's be thankful instead because weak hands are being removed as we only need more of those solid hodlers.
1766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH gas fees are a joke. on: May 13, 2023, 11:54:44 AM
Since then, the cost of ETH gas has been very expensive, so many people have switched to BSC or polygon. So far there is no way to reduce ETH gas costs from metamask because gas costs on metamask are automatic so they can change in an instant. Maybe one of the ways that you can transfer USDT with low gas costs, you can migrate to the BSC or polygon network.
That has really been a problem for the Ethereum network. Before, I used to gamble using ETH and USDT on the ETH network. However, when the gas fees became unaffordable for most gamblers, I switched to USDT TRC20. It's very affordable, and the confirmations are instant. I no longer follow ETH since I have withdrawn my investment and sold it for USDT. However, I'm interested to know what they would do to make micro-transactions possible in the future.
1767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 13, 2023, 11:09:46 AM
End of an era at GSW in my opinion. It was a fun ride with epic memories but I don't see them having a bounce from this in the next years. Also , some trades might occur in this summer.
They need to revamp their roster because not everyone was playing on the same page. I believe the players who were expected to contribute significantly, such as Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole, have not lived up to expectations in the playoffs. I mention them specifically because they are high-paid players, yet their performance has been inconsistent. The Warriors are still a good team, but some lineup changes could potentially make them a championship team once again. Additionally, they should consider adding more big men to their roster so they are not solely reliant on outside shooting.

It was normal for Lakers but also for Heat to win this series and I still don't get it why Heat is not 2nd favorite in this one ? They can beat either Denver or Lakers if they will reach the finals as I don't see neither Celtics or 76ers to beat Heat in next series.
You might not be the only one who thinks that way, as the Heat have been underestimated due to their performance during the regular season. However, it's possible that they could surprise everyone and win the championship in the NBA Finals. Such an accomplishment would be significant for Jimmy and the team.

We have plenty of betting odds available here:

https://duelbits.com/sportsbook/boxing/match/41184637-Nghitumbwa-Fillipus-vs-Casimero-John-Riel

For Casimero fans, this is what you've been waiting for. If you believe that he can knock out his opponent in 3 rounds, then the 1-3 range with odds of 6.40 is good for you. It's great that it's already available now, and I believe the outcome will be a KO since both boxers are capable of knocking out their opponents.

It's a matter of how you trust Casimero here now, with that betting odds you will be able to pick whatever you think that Casimero
will be able to knock his opponent down.

One correct guess will give you a sweet outcome, though it's still a tough guess and upset still possible as we don't know what preparations did Nghitumbwa has done during his trainings.

Almost a fight night, one more day and we will witness Casimero back inside the ring! Good luck to all bettors.

1769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: May 12, 2023, 08:31:15 PM
And while waiting for this fight, I just look at Alejandro highlights here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdy1wY9qznE

So what do you think guys, does he have a chance against Nonito? Good fundamentals I must say and he has a decent power and speed. But we all know that Donaire has boxing IQ, he reads his opponent in the first couple of rounds and once he got the feel of it, he might take over the fight. And I guess this is the best thing we can do know, look for highlights first and see if Alejandro can withstand the left hook of Donaire.

Looking pretty good and just like what you said from that video, his fundamentals and the power may equal Donaire in terms of
skills and flexibility, but experienced wise, the advantage will remain the same.

Donaire will take his time to observe his opponent and will try to absorb the punching strength of his opponent, then will start to adjust with what strategy to work on in winning the fight.

Unless Santiago will surprise him and take the early attack with everything he got, that might work if the timing of speed and powerful combinations
Lands on Donaire and knocks him down. Still early to conclude, though, much better to see them fighting inside the ring.

All these talks and both camps in preparation, still there's no solid update regarding about this fight.

I seriously hope that Donaire will do something because for what it's worth, his time to retire and hang his gloves is getting near and near each time that passes by. He surely doesn't want to do that without taking a chance to be a champion once again and to have at least a nice exit before that time comes but by the looks of it now, it seems that this fight is in vain because of the Probellum's current problems.
1770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any benefit of bitcoin to the government? on: May 12, 2023, 08:00:08 PM
As far as I can tell, the government has no direct or indirect benefit from the bitcoin or any transactions especially if the said government is not supporting it. But for the other countries such as El Salvador and Central African Republic (CAR), it's government is benefitting from the bitcoin and its transactions because they are accepting it and not banning the use of it.

It will be okay if only governments are just looking forward to having some benefit from the use of cryptocurrencies, but that is not what they wanted, they want to take control of it which is impossible because it's decentralized and that is exactly the reason why they are not supporting it.

New poster here, just wanted to share the winnings from my session today on a new casino as I'd like to leave a good review. I deposited $100 to start with and proceeded to hit a few 20x multipliers on $5 bets getting me up to around $370. I then waited for red streaks of 4 or more and then martingaled it all the way up to $2800 then went down to $2519 when I cashed out.

Deposit and withdrawal was instant, the game is very fun it's like dice. Overall 9/10 would recommend - only thing is they don't offer any deposit bonus it would be nice to have some sort of offer in the future!

I'm impressed with your success, but honestly, it's difficult to trust our money with an unknown gambling site. If you are a representative trying to market the site, why not create an ANN thread in the forum? This way, we can see if people would genuinely trust the site. Currently, most of the comments I've read are negative, stating that the site is a scam. If there is a representative available, they can provide an explanation from their side.

I happened to follow the discussion and decided to bet on Cambodia. It became evident that Cambodia would win as they were dominating the game.

Watching the game was quite thrilling for me since all I wanted to see was Cambodia win by 11+ points. Luckily, my bet paid off tonight.

1774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 11, 2023, 03:47:58 AM
I guess when teams back are against the wall, their superstar will have to come up big. And when teams like Knicks and Warriors on the brick on elimination, superstars like Brunson and Randle carry the team in their shoulders.

Similar to what Curry and the others superstars for the Warriors team, they can't just let this game slip away from him at Chase center. They are in a double digit lead and we all know that they are a big 3rd quarter team and chances are high that they can get the job done here against the Lakers.

I don't want to admit it, but the Warriors are controlling the game now and it's their pace. Their 3-point shots are falling and Draymond Green scoring 18 points already is a big bonus for the team, as he's not known for his scoring. All he does is contribute on the defensive side and find an open shooter.

As someone who bet on the Lakers, I need them to bring the deficit down to single digits so they'll have a chance in the fourth quarter. Let's see what happens.
1775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Effects of war on bitcoin on: May 11, 2023, 03:14:48 AM
Different countries issues is the reason why bitcoin is suffering price loss, when countries are not at peace with others, the whole nations suffered economic crisis, I remember when the price of bitcoin start going down was same season Russian x Ukraine start economy wars. Bitcoin seem to remained statics because of sentiments by this countries attitude towards the resourceful digital products that would have swim financial hardship.
I believe that it will not significantly impact the overall crypto market since we are decentralized and not owned by a single country. Look at what happened in the past with China's ban on bitcoin. Although the market panicked, bitcoin eventually reached a new all-time high. Bitcoin and fiat are different; during times of war, fiat will suffer, but bitcoin will prosper. That's my take.

Golden State Warriors(-225) VS Los Angeles Lakers(+180)

The Struggle is real some fans of the Golden State Warriors including myself are now doubting if they can still come back from a 3 - 1 deficit, this is the harder comeback they will make for sure in their whole career, and if they still lose this game it is goodbye to them well right now even though I am doubting them the Warriors always doing something spectacular and getting back from this kind of deficit, the game will be at Chase Center the home court of the Warriors and right now Patrick Baldwin Jr. can not play for the Warriors while the Lakers still have Mo Bamba, Anthony Davis, and LeBron James doubtful if they can play for the Lakers, but I really doubt the Warriors even though that was the case my pick are still the Golden State Warriors,

This is the best game to bet on the Warriors, as they're very dominant at home. If we believe the Warriors can still make a comeback, starting with a bet on their home court in a do-or-die game is a good strategy. I understand that the spread is too high, so it's wise that you took the moneyline, and I think you did the right thing.

It's going to be an exciting game for sure, and based on the trend so far, the home team usually wins and covers the spread as well. So, even with a high spread, it won't matter if the Warriors win by a blowout, which I hope is the case.

Usually but not most of the time because the Lakers managed to snatch a first win on the Warriors homecourt in Game 1 and I will not be surprised if it will happen again later and the Lakers will move-on towards the Western Conference Finals. It will be hard game for sure for both teams especially for the Warriors because this will be their last chance before they will be eliminated from the series.

This will be interesting and good luck bettors.

Lakers ML @ 3.60 vs Warriors
Heat ML @ 2.44 vs Knicks
1777  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: May 10, 2023, 07:57:45 PM

Knicks vs Heat -4.5 .. Good luck sa atin kabayan hehe.

Warriors -7.5 @.194 vs Lakers.

What time is the Gilas game today? I checked my bookie, but I couldn't find a specific game for today.

Does anyone know which bookies are offering betting odds for the games today? Or has the game already ended? I just want to place a small bet to enjoy watching the game in case it hasn't started yet.

I think this is the game you are talking.

I believe Gilas already had their first win, but their biggest opponent in this tournament is likely the host country, as they have a lot of naturalized players. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to watch the game, but I'm planning to watch the highlights to see how the Philippines dominated Malaysia.
1779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 09, 2023, 07:49:01 AM

It was all thanks to Lonnie Walker IV, who played brilliantly and didn't miss many shots. His confidence is sky-high, and he even made crucial free throws to seal the victory. Lebron also deserves credit for his leadership; he trusted his teammates and didn't force the issue, which led to their success in a very close game.
15 points in the 4th quarter alone, and had some important shots in the final minutes of the game. For sure nobody expected for him to step up in this game. When Russell is not having a good game, somebody must step up offensively, and that's what Walker IV did. Reaves is expected to step up offensively, so as Lebron, and even if AD didn't play that good in the 2nd half (only had 4 FG attempts), they still won.

That kid is clever; he was very clutch in that game. With his lack of experience in the playoffs, I didn't expect someone like him to step up in such a huge way. The Warriors surely weren't prepared for him, and I'm sure they'll be figuring out how to defend against him in the next game, as he did a lot of damage. Actually, the Warriors could have won that game, but unfortunately, they aren't the same team anymore and can't protect their big lead, as the Lakers can easily come back with a big run of their own.
1780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs John Ryder - May 6th in Mexico on: May 08, 2023, 08:24:14 PM
Yeap, imho Ryder showed more heart in this fight than Canelo. We saw usual Canelo, everything was expected from him. Ryder did a really great fight. A lot of people did not trust in him, he was a huge underdog and many predicted early stoppage. However the fight went full distance. Even despite huge dominance on score cards, I liked how Ryder showed himself in that fight. Ryder even managed to take few rounds.

I just wander what Canelo is going to do next. Another victory among middleweights. Another predicted victory. Are there any fighters left who havent lost to Canelo? I see only one way for Canelo - to try again to fight in light heavyweight.

I expected a knockout win for Canelo to somehow impress his fans after his loss to Bivol but that didn't happen because like you said, Ryder showed up into the fight prepared for whatever Canelo brings into the table but just wasn't enough to get that win as we all know that in order for Ryder to win he must dominate or KO the Mexican.

For me, Canelo should fight Benavidez first and if he wins, he can do a rematch with Bivol and enough with those tune-up fights that everyone knows whose gonna win.

Ryder said that he broke his noise during this fight, first time that it did happen to him, but he was really a tough mofo, and just decided not to get knockout. If that is other boxers, they could have taken a dive and Canelo winning and fans very happy with that result. But not Ryder, shows resiliency and make the fight very competitive at least in his part.

I do agree that it's better to g for Benavidez to defend his belt again. One thing that Ryder said though that Canelo is starting to decline at this point. And this is what the majority saw in this fight. So it's going to be interesting if he chooses David next as Benavidez is younger.

Yes, it's evident enough that John Ryder was strong enough to endure Canelo's punches but he still got knocked down somewhere in Round 5 and I reckon that if only Ryder packed a strong punch, he could've give Canelo some harder time rather than waiting until the fight ends. And I do agree with John Ryder, Canelo seems declining and we can see it because that's not how he usually perform in some fights.

Given that comment, it's much safer for Canelo to face Benavidez rather than visiting Dmitry Bivol again in his own division where a loss is almost inevitable in Canelo's side. Safer because at least with Benavidez, he got more chances but the kid pack quite a strong punch which also gives some risks to Canelo.

Looking forward for Canelo to fight either Bivol or Benavidez before this year ends.
