1781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: Best wallet for Android? on: January 23, 2023, 09:05:16 AM
My main is one of the mostly advertised on these pages. So far I had to pay 7-12% to perform exchanges. But usability of the wallet solves more problems then it creates potential issues. Therefore I stick to it. Can't wait to pay for services and goods directly from wallet to seller!
That was quite expensive. Which wallet are you referring to? AFAIK most Bitcoin wallets (at least those that are open source) don't have a built-in exchange, so all you need is to send your BTC to an exchange. It doesn't take a lot of money depending on the network condition. 7-12% of fees for one trade is quite irregular even among closed source ones unless you're talking about the exchange fee itself, not the TX.

There are many bitcoin wallet for android. But now a days those wallet isn't safe for using. I prefer hardware wallet for holding any cryptocurrency's like BTC ETH many more. you can buy leger wallet for keep your fund safe. Personally i use safepal hardware wallet for my own fund.
Safety depends on how you use them. It is not safe even if you use an HW but then put your seed online, or use a weak password. Don't think that HW will solve any of your problems. Even a mobile phone wallet is good enough as long as you set it up properly. Obviously not the best choice for a cold wallet, but for small transactions/hot wallet, using a mobile phone is still okay IMO. CMIIW.
1782  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 1inch Network's HW on: January 22, 2023, 12:35:41 PM
Looks cool, but no button might be a bit troublesome if the screen is prone to failure. I'd wait for further reviews that test how reliable the screen is since I've seen a few posts about LED failure on multiple HW devices this past few days. Personally, I want a USB-C just in case the battery dies, so I can still use it with my laptop/phone.

At the end of the day, we need more testing. Q4 is still far away. It is their first product too, so we'll see. Hopefully, they don't cheap out and make it so expensive that it no longer looks appealing for somebody that wants alternatives from Trezor/Ledger.

It seems that a new trend in HW design is emerging and now most devices will look about the same (with similar functionality). Remember Ledger Stax.
I can see the similarity. Not really surprising new products will try to imitate the design since Ledger is one of the popular manufacturers. It is hard to tell if the product is designed after or before Stax was announced though. More competition is good anyway, I don't mind a similar-looking device if the features, security, etc are competitive.
1783  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is bitcoin mining risk for begiiners? on: January 22, 2023, 08:34:30 AM
Bitcoin mining is viral, many videos on social media prove that how people can make money with mining. I've talked several time with friends and asked me on how to mine bitcoin because he only knows 6.25 BTC (Million dollar money) reward but he doesn't know how difficult it is and what resources he does need.
Unfortunately, that's why companies pay for ads. They just want to get their product sold. Customers need to do their own research before they buy, even if they don't plan on buying a mining rig. You should explain to them why it is not a good idea then. Even though it is viral, and many people are interested in the idea of getting "free money" while doing "nothing", doesn't mean anyone can do it. Don't fall for marketing tactics.

I don't know why you don't mention the Pool?, as I know no one can't mine with a solo mner right now.
If you're quite bored and want to try your luck, you can try lottery mining[1]. As the name implies, it relies heavily on luck so do not expect any return at all. CMIIW.

1784  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: January 22, 2023, 08:21:07 AM
I basically use them when I have a huge task at hand bigger than the Android smart phone but I do share hotspot through the phone to my laptop.
If you regularly share your cellphone network with your laptop, maybe consider buying a dedicated USB modem instead. I've heard that hotspot sharing for a long time can degrade your battery quickly since it makes your phone too hot. It also affects your phone even if you use a USB cable to share the connection, CMIIW.

The problem with smartphones is that it's easy to touch with fingers wrongly, what disturbs and annoys the gambler during his game's session a lot, besides being dangerous to touch somewhere by mistake, placing a wrong bet size. Also, it's not possible to see the whole page on smartphones, so you need to scroll a lot of times, and any call or notification the gambler receives meanwhile is going to distract him and overlap the casino's site or app. Desktop, on the other hand, is like a complete control panel where you can track and control everything with much more accuracy and calm.
Touching the wrong thing can be solved easily by a confirmation dialogue, even though I doubt any website will place such a thing on their website for every possible action that the user can take. That being said, most phones have larger screens nowadays, so a user can switch their phone if a mistouch happens regularly. As for the UI, I heard most websites support mobile view nowadays, so if your preferred platform still doesn't support it, maybe they need an update. Sometimes a developer would just release an app though.

If you connect the internet connection from your cellphone to a computer using WiFi, I think the internet speed depends on the network on your cellphone. But it will be different if you use a special connection, such as subscribing to the internet using a LAN cable provider. The speed will be faster using a LAN cable, but it depends on how much speed you get from the provider.
The WiFi device itself might affect the network too, but I don't think it's easy to find such devices. Most laptops and phones nowadays support WiFi AC (even AX), and mobile phone networks even at 5G probably won't top the bandwidth at all, unless you live in a very technologically advanced place. CMIIW.
1785  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What is mining's actual process? on: January 22, 2023, 07:56:17 AM
Then can someone mine future's bitcoin? (take advantage of time while others compete within 10 minutes)
What does this mean? Everybody competes with each other to find the next block afaik. Do you mean can somebody skip the next block and mine the next 2nd/3rd block instead? How would that block be valid if the previous block is yet to be found though? You might be referring to orphan blocks too I guess[1]. CMIIW.

Seeing you've forked Bitcoin on your previous posts, I think you're quite knowledgeable when it comes to mining software. Some of your questions, especially the software part can be answered easily if you check out the GitHub page imo.

1786  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Hardware Wallet on: January 22, 2023, 07:38:40 AM
Tiba-tiba rusak gan.

1787  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trying to steal our Bitcoin or simply hatred for Bitcoin? on: January 21, 2023, 03:33:01 PM
It's just a tactic to make their trading work. They want to influence the market sentiment, and it works to some extent. Don't listen to what they say, just look at what they're doing. There are many websites that documented many people saying that Bitcoin is dead/a scam, and then a few months later they say the opposite.

It is not only JP Morgan, just take a look at the news. From the recent FTX collapse, the bankruptcy of various crypto lenders, etc you will easily find who says what and whether they are being a hypocrite or not. They just want money from retails, and there are tons of ways they can do that, including spewing bullshit on a TV or newspaper every day.
1788  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Akankah Altcoin kategori AI & Big data populer kembali di 2023? on: January 21, 2023, 03:27:03 PM

1789  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Sertifikat gratis belajar bitcoin dari bitcoinSV academy on: January 21, 2023, 02:27:09 PM

1790  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Hardware Wallet on: January 21, 2023, 02:06:56 PM

1791  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Platform Exchanges Di Indonesia on: January 21, 2023, 01:48:57 PM

Saya pengguna Pintu gan. Menurut ane murah, dibawah 5000 rupiah.
1792  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase closing my account for no reason on: January 19, 2023, 11:50:33 AM
Unfortunately, this is subject to happen at any time since most centralized services claim in their TOS that they have every right to close your account without having to provide you with a valid reason.
I can find this right to close an account if the user does not agree to the E-sign agreement.
Quote
You may withdraw your consent to receive Communications electronically by contacting us at https://help.coinbase.com. If you fail to provide or if you withdraw your consent to receive Communications electronically, Coinbase reserves the right to immediately close your Coinbase Account or charge you additional fees for paper copies.
Source: https://www.coinbase.com/legal/user_agreement/united_states

But you can find more details on their user agreement for other countries such as:
Quote
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to any or all of the Coinbase Services and/or deactivate or cancel your Coinbase Account, without reason by giving you two months’ notice. You acknowledge that our decision to take certain actions, including limiting access to, suspending, or closing your Coinbase Account, may be based on confidential criteria that are essential for the purposes of our risk management and security protocols. You agree that Coinbase is under no obligation to disclose the details of its risk management and security procedures to you.
Source: https://www.coinbase.com/legal/user_agreement/payments_europe

Based on that statement, I do agree that even if you ask publicly, they won't reply to you, if they ever do it at all. To put it simply, Coinbase might consider OP accounts to have some risk if they continue to allow him to use their exchange, whatever that is. I'd not stress too much and simply move on if that were the case OP, try to find other exchanges or start using DEX to avoid being ditched by an exchange again. Do correct me if I'm wrong.
1793  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Has an exchange ever blocked your Bitcoins from Signature earnings? on: January 19, 2023, 11:25:57 AM
Never experience it myself, even though I participated in various campaigns in the past (most of them were mixers). I never mix my coins and just sent them directly to my preferred exchange, but things might change depending on their policies. If they ask for personal details more than necessary, I might use a DEX or do P2P if I need to convert my earnings to fiat.

Things might change if my government or the government where the exchange is legalized requires an exchange to block mixer transactions though, they might look for popular addresses and then block any tx related to that address. Either way, I think you can still mix or use coinjoin or just use other exchanges. CMIIW.

1794  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How To solved Electrum Signature verifiyed on macOS Monterey version 12.6.2 on: January 18, 2023, 05:44:15 PM
In the final step, if the solution does not fix all bugs then all the adapters that support (macOS) they should be bought and used.
I'm a bit confused about what you're trying to say here. Just in case you misunderstood me, I'm not using a Hackintosh but a Macbook Air M1 with a dock (from a third party, did not buy it from Apple), which is why sometimes I have issues with my connection. That's why I ask you whether you have the same setup as me or not because if that is the case, the culprit is probably your dock or your Mac version, not Electrum itself.

At the end of the day, since you solve the connectivity issue by updating, it's clear that Electrum is not the problem.
1795  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Exodus wallet, Latest PC version 23.1.12. Bug or issue with my device? on: January 18, 2023, 05:21:40 PM
I don't look at the rest that much but this case seems like a classic victim of phishing. Whether he uses Exodus or not doesn't really matter if he inputs his seed (or passkey, as he mentioned it) to some random website, after some random guy that said he is an Exodus employee told him to do so. That being said, I do agree that it is better to use other apps if there are too many cases where users' funds are stolen without any clear reason why. CMIIW.

Anyway, has your issue been resolved OP?
1796  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Auction house looking to add crypto payments on: January 18, 2023, 10:55:32 AM
thx for all the help guys do you guys know if any accept usdt?
Most of the popular ones mentioned above support USDT, or other stablecoins if you're interested. Just check their about page if you're unsure, or use a search on Google with simple keywords like "Coinpayments accept USDT" to see if they accept them or not. Self-hosted BTC payment gateway usually only supports BTC though, CMIIW.

As for detailed fee comparison, I think you'll have to compare it yourself if you want some in-depth analysis. I found some simple comparisons online but the information is usually outdated, and most users here would probably use BTCPayserver anyway. You can probably find this thread useful too[1]. Some posts on that thread have good suggestions if you want to look further, but keep in mind that most of these are BTC payment processors, so you have to check manually check them to see if other cryptos are available or not.

1797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: my friend lost the password for his crytowallet. what he could do? on: January 18, 2023, 10:08:19 AM
If all above failed, Contact the wallet support: If your friend is unable to regain access to his cryptocurrency wallet, he should contact the wallet's support team for assistance. They may be able to help him recover his funds.
Unless I'm mistaken, OP friend uses Bitcoin Knots, which is a fork of Bitcoin Core. It is a decentralized wallet where you manage your own coins, I doubt any support will be able to help them recover his password other than suggesting some methods that have been mentioned above.

The wallet is with Bitcoinknots, How we could know the type of encryption they are using?
As far as I understand it, BTCrecover supports variations of Core like Bitcoin Unlimited, XT, etc, so I think you can give it a shot even if Bitcoin Knots is not explicitly mentioned. CMIIW.
1798  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Web3ramen -Web3 tools under one roof on: January 18, 2023, 09:41:28 AM
At this moment it's based built based on revoke.cash as reference, but with the intention to build a "revoke all" function which is possible, just need more time to test it out. In comparison to Etherscan built-in revoked, i believe it's limited to ERC20, ERC1155 and ERC721 (do correct me if im wrong).
Yes, that's what I understand too. However, I believe other explorers also have a similar function. I can see the appeal for an all-in-one revoke tool for different chains though, but if I don't use that many chains maybe I'll stick with an explorer instead. But, I might be interested if the tool is open source and can be verified by others, regardless if I use multiple chains or not.

Yes publishing the source code is in the pipeline, but reason not at this point because i'm planning to have at least 2-3 tools published before doing so. As this is my 3rd week since launch, im spending more time in adding some other functions, based on feedback and also some inspirations from githubs. i want to have some sort of "volume" of tools usage in this coming months.
I see. Do you plan to publish it on your GitHub then? If that's the case, I'll probably wait until the code is available to use the platform if I feel the need to revoke some contracts. I believe some people don't feel safe using a closed-source platform even if it's so convenient unless we use a throwaway wallet to test the tool.
1799  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Web3ramen -Web3 tools under one roof on: January 17, 2023, 01:53:16 PM
What's the difference between your tool and using another tool like Etherscan built-in revoked, or Revoke.cash other than the support for multiple networks? Also, is there no plan to publish the source code so others can verify it? Some of your competitors have a Github page/open source code, if it were me I'd be more interested in using them regardless of whether I can verify it or not. Especially after the recent fall of some exchanges, so many scams using smart contracts, etc.
1800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Massive amount of GPU returns at my local computer store... on: January 17, 2023, 01:44:08 PM
4080 and 70 Tis, maybe. Don't get why NVIDIA could charge an arm and a leg and think they could get away with it.
They have a huge market share and some buyers don't really care about the ripoff I guess. But they definitely took it a bit too far this time because almost all reviewers and your average joe refuse to recommend their GPU due to the insane pricing. Hopefully, AMD can be better next time, even though I feel like it might take a few years or that's too much copium too.

Really surprised that they didn't just decline returns if someone is returning like 10x GPUs, which is clearly not for personal use but for scalping. Very surprised that people are still trying to scalp GPUs these days when ETH POS was months ago.
I might be wrong but I recall seeing some posts/news about some stores refusing to accept returns/refund for GPUs. Can't find it anymore though. It is not really impossible if a store implements them though, especially if the buyer is suspicious.
