Man, so I can't just hit the mining button on the wallet client? Why can't someone just make an easy miner for all these coins. I need a degree in software engineering to mine some coins. And to think these guys wanted me to test out the program. I have to laugh at myself at that one.
I went to school for economics and finance. I took one C++ class many years ago. I know exactly jack and shit about this stuff. But I'm willing to admit I know nothing, ask for help and pay bounties where necessary.
That's the most you can ask for someone who doesn't know anything about this stuff.
The masses are coming to alt coins soon, is this how you guys are gonna treat everyone that's not just like you? You'll be greatly outnumbered and the bankers will take over so I'd definitely find another, more subtle approach.
Well you can mine with the wallet client, I believe. Just click on Mining. Put in anything for Username and Password, and put "127.0.0.1" for Server and "5587" for Port. Then click Start Mining. This will only mine with your CPU though, as you need a GPU mining to use your graphics card... and get better results! I got a degree in finance, too, but this is a hobby for me, so glad to help in any way I can ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

So hey, I'm trying to solo min nuggets. I downloaded the wallet. What settings are you using? TIA.
And thanks to r3 and shaky, they made a killer wallet. The Easiest I've ever used.
So somebody help me mine nuggets solo (its the only way for me to make some nugget coins, kinda sad) I only have a laptop so I wanna mine it before the difficulty shoots up. And soon the Golden Block will get hit as its randomly every 2 hours and so its overdue, it should hit any minute.
I'm using CGMiner to mine them right now... Made a file named "nuggets.conf" and tossed it into C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Nuggets\ Mine looks like this: rpcuser=Damnsammit rpcpassword=xxxxxxxx rpcallowip=192.168.1.1 rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=5587 addnode=69.85.86.195 daemon=1 server=1 gen=0 Then using CGminer, I executed a batch that looks like this: C:\#cryptocurrencies\cgminer\cgminer.exe --scrypt -o 127.0.0.1:5587 -u Damnsammit -p xxxxxxx --intensity 19 --gpu-engine 850 --gpu-fan 80 --thread-concurrency 7200 --shaders 2880 --worksize 256 --api-listen --api-allow W:127.0.0.1 Been going since the wee hours of last night, and I knocked out a bit of those non-reward blocks. Looking forward to the Golden Blocks as soon as r3wt gets the client updated ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Vlad, you need to calm the heck down, buddy.
My rig is pointed to your coin right now, as are several others, I'm sure.
r3wt is trying to help you, but you keep going off on people here.
Next time you read a post that upsets you, just smile and remind yourself of all of the things in life that make you happy, and then either respond in a positive manner or just ignore it. You seem super stressed about this coin.

Open up your wallet and click "Receive" and there should be a address there.

Seeing as how the OP is looking for 66.7% interest, I would venture to say that he would want more than that for a smaller loan.
IE: Think >0.085 BTC repayment

Everyone already touched on it, but just wanted to reiterate that intensity 20 is rarely the best setting.
Usually you want to play with that number and find the best one for each particular card.
For example, my 6850 runs great at intensity 19 (if I am only using the computer for mining, I drop it down to 14 if I want to use the computer for something else)
My 5850 will get nothing by HW errors at i20, and it gets a lot at i19. Similarly, at i18 it will run perfectly for a few hours, then start getting HW errors, so I turn it on i17 and it runs flawlessly without really suffering a lower hashing rate.
You just gotta play with it a little bit and find the best for each card
Edit: Also, what PSU are you using?

King, you want to be mining FTC or CAP right now and then using Cryptsy to convert it to LTC or BTC.
As far as a good rig... if you already have a computer with PCI-E slots, you can probably scour through Craigslist and find a couple of cheap cards.
I found a 5850 for $80 on CL and had a 6850 in my closet, so I am hasing away at ~700-750KH/s with about a $80 investment.
My power is $0.07-0.09/kwh so despite what everyone says about GPU mining being non-profitable, it can be.

Loan received. Will repay 0.12 on or before the 19th! Let's go Yankees and Tigers ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) When you payback, please pay to: 16ybYBNWdPH1D8CJLbA73F LewwnssjSAme My previous address has been compromised. Will do! Hahah cool address... almost looks like "loans" Those damn Yankees killed me this weekend! Going to make a few more bets tonight, but if I lose, I am just going to pay you back and be done with it lol

Did you find what was going wrong? Because, i've a similar compatibility problem with HD7950 and 5850. Lot of HW errors and regulars crashes :/
The HW Nonce errors with the 5850 were common for me when running at Intensity of 19... I changed it to 17 and it didn't really suffer much on the hashing speed, but it significantly cleared up the HW errors. As far as the crashes go, when do they happen? What is crashing? CGMiner or the whole computer? What PSU are you using?

I'm out because of the ridiculous amount of posts that is required to get some coins now. Might you move to a total posts/activity system again in the future I'll probably come back. Best of luck!
No joke! I post a lot on here, and I don't know how someone would get to 1000 posts a month without spamming lol

I had the hardest time getting my 5850 to play nice with my 6850.
After a frustrating few days of troubleshooting, I decided to chill out and do a fresh install of Windows.
Installed Windows 7 64-bit, and Catalyst 13.1, did all of the updates for Windows and they have been skipping along like two friends at recess ever since.

Good deal! I figured someone would beat me to it, but I was too tired last night to do it ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Looks good!

Well it looks like we got 36 blocks to go before rewards!

Sent you a PM on how to do this in Excel. I'll email you an example if you send me your address. This weeks payments are coming ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Thanks for your patience. On a side note, if someone can come up with a way track user post numbers easily and automatically I'd be happy to pay out a 0.15 BTC bounty. Can this be done in excel or a Google Docs worksheet with some sort of html / xml parsing? Can you elaborate a little? Do you just want a list of users and their posts for the most recent full week? I want the ability to type in usernames of participants in a spreadsheet and for the post count to automatically update. This will speed up my weekly tracking and make payouts easier. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=49269 - My profile The information can be found in each users profile ^. It would be handy if I could also see the users' current signature. Right now I'm doing this manually which is very laborious and time consuming. I have no need to see every post of each user (I trust that nobody here is getting their post count by trolling). I guess I could always stick a link by their name listing their latest posts if needed. Eg. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=49269;sa=showPosts

I'm about to go to bed, but can someone confirm that I have this set up right?
I made a nuggets.conf in the roaming directory ( C:\Users\Morrison\AppData\Roaming\Nuggets ) as follows:
rpcuser=username rpcpassword=pw rpcallowip=192.168.1.1 rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=5587 addnode=69.85.86.195 daemon=1 server=1 gen=0
And then set it up to run in CGMiner just as I have done the other time I solo mined (with CAPs)
It looks like it is running fine, but I don't know how to confirm it.
