1781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China: Bitcoin a hedge against confiscation of wealth? on: January 11, 2021, 07:08:42 PM
This is China we are talking about, they can secretly detain anyone and torture them until they reveal whatever information China is after. You'd need to leave zero traces while obtaining bitcoins so that the government won't get any suspicion.
Bitcoin is freedom if you are living in countries like China or any third world country where the government is targeting a certain section of the population which is not acceptable elsewhere else. Recently i heard about a news that the co owner of Alibaba Group Jack Ma is missing as he said something against the government, not sure about the authenticity of the news but if you are living in a country that targets anyone who is questioning the government then bitcoin is one of the solution where you could save your wealth.
1782  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Casino & Sportsbook - Play Smarter 🚀 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: January 11, 2021, 01:59:11 PM
It was previously unknown to me site, BitEdge, but I see that all the winners are decent betting sites that surely deserve some awards.

I only don't understand how could Best Dice Site be not PrimeDice? Isn't it the best dice site by default? Smiley
Even i was thinking this as i thought PrimeDice was the best dice site by default and they did not even give them the runner up award. I am yet to play dice in any other site mentioned here.

@OP i have a request regarding the withdrawal fees, since the minimum withdrawal amount is reduced to 0.0005BTC is it fair to have two withdrawal fees for faster withdrawal and delayed withdrawal as the current default withdrawal fees is 0.0001BTC.
1783  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🎲Tower.bet 🎲🔥 New Platform arrived 🎲Crash 🎲 HiLo 🎲 Wheel 🎲Contests 🎲 on: January 11, 2021, 12:57:26 PM
The highlighted restriction is truly bad. This is like forcing an user to gamble, depositing funds in his account is purely a self decision. He decides whether to gamble or not. Maybe can have the limitations on the withdrawal limit. Some sites have withdrawal limit of 0.004 btc and one needs to deposit and withdrawal if the wallet balance got reduced below the limit.
If you are depositing money to a gambling site then you are bound to gamble and no one is forcing you to gamble but once you deposit the only reason these gambling sites have these terms and conditions is because they wanted to avoid their wallet being used as a tumbler to break the transaction chain and some of the sites have increased their withdraw fees to avoid these kind of users.
1784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 11, 2021, 06:52:34 AM
Paine dropped a catch and India needs some luck as well to survive these last few overs.
Tim Paine dropped three catches this morning and they dropped a total of four catches today alone and they cannot win matches dropping matches and India is putting up a bold fight and now less than 5 overs and even if Australia is able to pick a wicket now is it possible to take 5 more wickets. Jadeja will be coming out to bat next even though he is injured and this is going to be a draw until you see a hat trick Cheesy.
1785  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bit coin crashing ? $3,000 by noon today on: January 10, 2021, 09:49:27 PM
Is this the start of free fall ? I dont see bitcoin loosing so much in one day ever before . I'm so glad I cashed out on Friday.
Welcome to the world of cryptocurrency, the market has seen tremendous rally in the past few months and you think a drop of $3000 is a big surprise. The market rallied a lot in the past few days and you should expect a similar crash as well as there will be many investors who invested last year looking to book their profit and these sort of 7% correction is a common theme in the bitcoin market.
1786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people seem to value 1 full BTC? on: January 10, 2021, 08:34:07 PM
I see lots of people placing value specifically on owning full (1) BTC. Is this just a flex, or is there some advantage to this, versus just owning some fractions of BTC?
The choice is yours whether you wanted to hold the entire bitcoin or hold some fraction of a coin and you invest according to your budget. If you look at the current price you cannot expect a normal citizen to invest his entire fortune to hold the coin rather they will invest a fraction.

If you are talking about whales and institutional investors then your view is right as they will be investing millions but you cannot expect the same from the common investor.
1787  Economy / Speculation / Re: $80k within 6 weeks, new ATH October 2021 on: January 10, 2021, 05:52:01 PM
The mania is pretty much here already. If we were going up slowly it would be one thing but to go from $20K to $30K in 17 days and $30K-$40K in 5 days. Basically at this similar rate we will be having $10K moves every 2-3 days or so. Its not sustainable in my opinion. We might reach some top, like $50K and then consolidate for a few months and then again maybe break that ATH again.
When it comes to bitcoin it is really hard to predict how the bull market will perform as the price would take us to new territories we earlier thought is impossible for a new market like bitcoin and that concept just hit me twice in the past as i had a valuation in mind that the price could rally but it breached those valuation by a big mile and even though the market went down drastically the highs were astonishing and this is the third rally i will be part even though i did not make much profit in the first rally as those were my baby steps in the market and i cannot predict exactly how long the market will rally.

All i know is i have the patience to see the rally and only plan on selling all my coins once i see the market is preparing for a huge sell off, till then i will be holding the rest of the coins.
1788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Oh that feeling... when the price goes crazy...after you sold! on: January 10, 2021, 02:49:08 PM
You must be happy you still have some BTC. There are people who also sold all their BTC this time when BTC reached close to 20000$ mark because they don't want to wait again for 3 years.
Anyone who knows to read the old price charts will understand the once the price reaches the old all time high valuation the price would further rally and if anyone was afraid that we would see a correction and then the price will not rally then it is your fate of understanding the market. Even i sold when it crossed the all time high valuation thinking we will see a minor correction and wanted to purchase again but that never happened and i never sold after that as i will be selling only if the market shows some sort of weakness.

I had these terrible feelings in the past when you see the market rallies just after you sell the coins but now i am more matured enough to understand the market and i sold a few only because of the pandemic when it crossed the all time high valuation.
1789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 10, 2021, 10:54:23 AM
I have never seen women's cricket before. But since the Women’s World Cup I’ve been trying to keep track of the different series of women’s teams. And sometimes I bet on my favorite team. Women's cricket and boys under 19 are very under-rated
Even i started watching Woman's cricket just to place a bet on the match especially when England and Australia are playing and even though the odds are not that big but it is a sure shot win and it is easier to identity the winner. T20 matches are more competitive than ODI for Women's and the sports book needs to provide much better betting options for these matches.
1790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 10, 2021, 05:45:13 AM
Australia finally batted well in this match and put a target of 407 runs for India and till now they started carefully and they have two injured players and hence the openers should stay in the crease as long as possible and it will be a battle whether they can chase the score down or bat as long as possible and draw the match as the target is not that easy to chase. My bet is on Australia to win as a couple of wickets will open up the cracks in the Indian batting lineup.
1791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The fate of privacy cryptocurrencies on: January 09, 2021, 11:59:43 PM
What is the fate of privacy coins? I am thinking these type of coins will find it difficult and can later all vanish and exist no more.
The privacy coins will not vanish altogether, they will be forced to trade in decentralized exchanges while the centralized exchanges will be forced to remove them by the authorities and it is not that surprising as we all knew that would happen. The price will be affected once that happens and now i have notification mail from a few exchanges that they already plan to remove the privacy coins.
1792  Economy / Economics / Re: Need not just stimulus but usdt stimulus on: January 09, 2021, 11:30:14 PM
Exactly my point. Yes, government provides stimulus in various sector like housing, agriculture, local businesses but for traders? I never heard of that, at least in my countries.
The only possible way is that you need to stand in the election and win and then you start changing the law and include these kind of stimulus. If people like Trump who was not a full time politician can become the president then you can also try and become one and then change all the rules that favors you Tongue. Is your government providing stimulus for housing for the ultra rich as well. If you really understand the meaning of stimulus then you will understand the difference Grin.
1793  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if Bitcoin goes off this Institutionalized expected Bull-Run? on: January 09, 2021, 07:17:30 PM
Institutions are smart people smart money so why they buy at any given market price when they can save and get it cheaper in a correction or a crash?
That is not how institutional investors conduct business, they have a target at hand and they will be booking their profit when they seemed fit. The crash happens when they start booking the profit.

Everybody saying bitcoin supply is running out but high demand is still there but if thats the case then how bitcoin dropped over 10% today when there's clearly supply for this demand causing it to drop over 10%???
The supply of bitcoin is not running out, it is true that there is a limit on the number of coins but every ten minutes new coins are generated.

If supply is trickling little drops like a tap then bitcoin price should increase 5k daily right?
A daily increase of $5k daily  Cheesy.
1794  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin hits $40k on: January 09, 2021, 05:23:47 PM
by seeing the price of BTC rising very high over its ATH, then it makes me jealous, because the price of Ethereum hasn't risen as high as the price of BTC, because for now i'm only invest in Ethereum, but at least i'm happy if the price of BTC has risen very high, so this proves to people that investing in cryptocurrency can get a big profit and of course it will make many people start to investing in cryptocurrency, so that in the future this will make the market cap and the price of cryptocurrency will increase higher than now (including the price of Ethereum).
Looking at the growth of bitcoin in terms of valuation if you think that the rest of the cryptocurrencies will rally then you will end up regretting as there are many evidence in the market and you cannot trust the entire market. The top coins can be trusted and it will give you the profit if you had the opportunity to invest when the price was really low, right now i will not dare to invest in anything and i will sit out waiting for a correction to invest again and in the meantime looking for the right opportunity to book my profit.
1795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: January 09, 2021, 03:39:58 PM
~
We can see that Manny Pacquiao is really eager to have some rematch with Floyd but theyre still trying  to ignore and avoiding it which means they aren't interested anymore with this fight or rematch even if they do know that they can make out tons of money with this match yet majority is been longing for this one.
Manny Pacquiao will be eager to fight Floyd Mayweather again but he will not wish to fight professionally again, with all the retired fighters doing exhibition matches we can expect them to fight in an exhibition bout later down the road and they could raise huge amount of money with just an exhibition match and the professional record of Floyd Mayweather will remain intact as well  Cheesy.
1796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 09, 2021, 02:13:55 PM
Test status hasn't changed anything for Ireland. They are having test status only in name. They are not allowed to play tests against teams other than Zimbabwe and Afghanistan. On top of that, the share of revenues that they receive from the ICC remain far below what other countries such as Zimbabwe receive annually. I don't have high expectations from Ireland. They will end up like what happened to Kenya two decades ago.
If Ireland improves their performance then they can face other established teams, if not who will be watching one sided carnage, they need to play much better innings against Zimbabwe and Afghanistan and then if they perform well then they will get the opportunity to play against top tier teams. Regarding the revenue they just got the Test status and you cannot expect them to get a substantial share just like that and i think it has to do with the revenue they generate as well.
1797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 09, 2021, 06:59:10 AM
I love to watch him but at batting pitch i always fell asleep when he starts to defend, bat and bat. Although now he's started playing a shots, which is requirement as they are going bit slow.
If you are too defensive then you forget to score runs and in the end fall short. He was playing the long innings as he was trying to save the match from an innings defeat Cheesy. The Indian middle order is filled with bowling all rounders and the tail end will throw the bat at anything and now Australia is in a good position and Pujara needs to play the long innings in the 4th innings to save the match.
1798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 08, 2021, 11:57:47 PM
Australia picked the wicket of Ajinkya Rahane and now the Indian middle order will be tested. Pujara is playing a real Test and he faced 93   balls for his 14 runs and he needs to stay in the crease for a much longer period of time if India needs to reduce their deficit as they still trail by 220 runs and if Australia is able to pick a couple of quick wickets then they will have the momentum and can win the match.
1799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sold out my satoshi on: January 08, 2021, 11:35:10 PM
That was very bad time for me, when i sold out my Bitcoin. When bitcoin price was 9k+ usd, then i sold out my all Holding Satoshi for my personal problem. But now current price of per Bitcoin is 41k+ usd.
You will not be the only person in that situation, last year was the worst year financially for everyone and some were forced to sell their coins to sustain the bills once your salary is delayed. I did not expect the price to rally to $40k in a short period of time but it is what it is with the bitcoin market as you cannot always understand the logic behind these huge rallies  Cheesy.

There is nothing much to be disappointed, the market has a cycle and you will get an opportunity to invest again.
1800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is ETH overpriced? on: January 08, 2021, 11:08:51 PM
Today it has slightly improved. ETH 2.0 is not here yet but there are Layer 2 solutions. ICOs are dead,,, yes replaced somehow by DeFi but those not to the ICO scale, and dapps are becoming more mature. Perhaps 1400 is not overvalued anymore?
We are seeing the same old scams under a new name and the maturity of the market will be determined if they can sustain that in the next five years. I am not aware of ten ICO projects that are still sustaining and the amount of money raised are wasted and the developers made all the money and we will see how long the DeFi market will last. There are several changes in ETH 2.0 and only time will tell whether it can sustain the promises they are making this time.
