1781  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-30] McDonalds to accept Bitcoin by 2018 on: December 02, 2017, 01:52:17 PM
I don't know why people are reacting negatively about this, Bitcoin was created to be a currency to be used for purchases. Why would you think that this kind of news is irrelevant on the current price increase. If we are always going to consider bitcoin just being an asset then it will really pop after some times. Bitcoin needs to have more uses than being an asset for it's price to stabilize in the future. I think this kind of news if implemented would really help entice more investors to be in bitcoin.

Absolutely right! Real adoption is much needed to support BTC prices in the days of low demand, else Bitcoin will fall steep in coming future like SpeakAsia did leaving investors dizzy.
I think all positive news should be embraced rather than judged as fake or real because it will ultimately help Bitcoin community. Besides this, Bitcoin is increasingly demanded among various sector nowadays and increased adoption have been noticed. I was recently reading Cointelegraph's article about PWC now accepting BTC. So if even if McD news is hoax, Bitcoin increasing adoption can't be questioned.

1787  Economy / Economics / Re: We gonna talk about that flash crash? on: December 01, 2017, 04:29:36 PM
That's not the first time Bitcoin crashed that high. Recently on 12th November and 17th July, Bitcoin had similar crash! Basic reason for this is that crypto market is still not mature completely. 90% of the investors entering in market now are aiming for quick profits. That's why with small fall, we will see adjacent big fall due to panic selling and similarly with small rise, we will see adjacent big rise due to possible opportunity.
But still nothing to fear as HODLER because market demand is constantly rising at the moment and price is successfully backed by it.

Rewards
0.00025 BTC for the following
1. Following Gunbot on twitter.
2. Retweeting 10 of Gunbot's tweets.
3. Tweeting 2 custom tweets with #Gunbot #TradingBot #Poloniex #Bittrex #TradingView #GrumpyKitty #Referral
4. One tweet that says "You can purchase Gunbot for 15% off using "GrumpyKitty" discount code".

Is this some kind of marketing manipulation?
Title says 0.00025 per Tweet. Thread says 0.00025 for 2 tweets and 10 retweets!!
Not wise!

1795  Economy / Services / Re: Do You Have a Coinbase Wallet? Get 5,000 Satoshi For Sign-Up & Quick Task on: November 28, 2017, 09:54:25 AM
While your intentions may very well be good, to me this has a sketchy feel to it. Targeting people with coinbase accounts, maybe hoping to get some people who will use the same passwords that they sign up with on your site. I would recommend any user that tries this offer to have thier 2FA on thier coinbase on.

I think you are going wrong way . I am dead sure it is something about "affiliate system" in which the owner will get paid by coinbase . I had used coinbase once and have left it due to their high fees . I will give this website a shot as its design looks great .

Both of you are on the wrong way, OP is asking for Coinbase email because internal transfer between Coinbase accounts via email is free of fees.
Sending small amount like 0.00005 BTC isn't possible if send via Blockchain transaction using BTC addresses.
1796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the BTC dominance in Coinmarketcap is decreasing? on: November 27, 2017, 07:05:20 PM
according to coinmarketcap information btc dominance percentage is less compare to early days.what is the possible reason for that?

The simple reason is the increasing cap of other coins. Ethereum has grown from $330 to $490 marking increase in cap by 50%. BCH increased from $350 to $1650 marking increase in cap by 500%. Several other coins like XRP, LTC, XMR, DASH also boomed.
This is because cryptocurrency market is now stable from any kind of FUD. Hence, BTC investors once again diversifying their portfolio. That's it.
1797  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: taking some money off the table - what to sell? on: November 27, 2017, 06:14:19 PM
I purchased some bitcoin back in June, so I have equal number of bitcoin, bitcoin cash and bitcoin gold.

If I'm looking to sell enough to recoup my original investment (about 20% of current value), which of the 3 would you suggest I sell?

Thanks.

Sell off your BCH and BTG as soon as possible. Their demand is just a hoax and not having real worth. They can dump very hard any soon.
It is always better to keep Your BTC with you, such forks have become common these days. Keeping BTC will ensure, you get other forked coins too. For example, I received Yobit notification about something called Bitcoin Liza. Keep hodling BTC, keep selling forked coins and you will become rich soon. Cheesy
1798  Economy / Economics / Re: Good sites to track the fee price on TX? on: November 27, 2017, 05:49:30 PM
I've used some sites in the past, though I must admit I really didn't like the nature of the coincap site which was pretty much just a waste that I felt like I was given information that wasen't helping me in the least. Is there a site which tracks the tx fee over a period of time? To show increases and decreases which would be vital to showing if the changes in the Bitcoin code (such as segwit) are actually doing something or are just a waste all together?

Would be nice if someone knowledgeable could provide a list of things.

1799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes a altcoin valuable on: November 27, 2017, 05:20:12 PM
I'm developing an altcoin that is based on social sharing. What foundational technologies are going to make it the most valuable? What makes an altcoin valuable? I'm wondering if it is just how much people hear about it? Thoughts?

More than technology or usability, its speculation or we can say community awareness which determines price. I have seen many ICOs not even launched their product or service but still coin price went 10x the ICO price just on the basis of investors' speculation. For instance, check POWR.

Let me give you example, Apple shares decreased horribly the day Tim Cook announced 20% fall in Apple China's sale!

Same theorem works in crypto world too. Coin is wholly owned to open market and its price fluctuates hugely by buzz and FUDs!
1800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The 6 Most Important Cryptocurrencies Other Than Bitcoin on: November 27, 2017, 04:48:25 PM
Excerpt from: investopedia.com/tech/6-most-important-cryptocurrencies-other-bitcoin

"Bitcoin has not just been a trendsetter, ushering in a wave of cryptocurrencies built on decentralized peer-to-peer network, it’s become the de facto standard for cryptocurrencies. The currencies inspired by Bitcoin are collectively called altcoins and have tried to present themselves as modified or improved versions of Bitcoin. While some of these currencies are easier to mine than Bitcoin is, there are tradeoffs, including greater risk brought on by lesser liquidity, acceptance and value retention. Since Bitcoin prices are soaring new highs, we look at six cryptocurrencies, picked from over 700 (in no specific order) that could be worth your while.

What's so special in article? He/she simply picked other 6 coins from Top 7 according to CoinMarketCap of that time. For me only Bitcoin is important cryptocurrency, all others are merely used for trading purpose by ivestors.
Some will argue Ethereum is also very promising cryptocurrency and has more utility than Bitcoin. Then can someone explain me why it was struggling between $200-370 from last 6 months and why it suddenly rose above $450, almost near $500? Is there any sudden rise in its adoption? Absolutely not, all cryptocoins are merely players of traders' hands. Coins become important according to situations, not by specifications.
