181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will another altcoin rise to overtaken Bitcoin? on: April 19, 2020, 05:11:04 PM
Taking into consideration the nature and redundancy of Bitcoin technology and the difficulty in scaling, I am very curious to know if Bitcoin protocol will be dropped one day and another coin build to take its place.
This is a wet dream for all the new projects in the market and we have seen thousands of projects claiming to be better than bitcoin and in the end what happens, they either stop developing or either end up as a scam and many new projects and coins are coming every month and nothing is going to change, if any of the coins has the same transaction volume of bitcoin then it will slow down too, we have some forks and lets see what they will accomplish in the future.
182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 19, 2020, 04:23:45 PM
I think it's fair to say that Jon Jones changed some of his fighting style because he's aging. It's the same with other champs who manage to defend their belt for a very long time. You no longer see their explosiveness in the octagon like what we used to see. I think GSP is also a good example of this. I remember him being criticized for not finishing his opponents later in his career. He was even being booed before he retired (right after his fight with Hendricks).
Georges St Pierre was a wrestling based fighter and if you are not interested in ground fighting then you will be bored to death as GSP was never a one punch knockout fighter and that is the similar case with Jon Jones as he never finished anyone with power but accumulation of strikes and take downs, it is difficult to be at the top of division for a long time and Jon Jones, GSP, Aldo were special fighters who could dominate for a long time.
183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is like day trading ? on: April 19, 2020, 01:14:39 PM
This is the illusion of "calculated risk" when you perform TA. Even if you are an expert on TA, you cannot have 100% confidence in your prediction. You essentially "gamble" with the unknown. However, it's different than the pure "game of chance" when the results is solely based on the algorithm. The win chances and multipliers are fixed, wherein trading, it varies.
I understand what you are trying to tell about the illusion of calculated risk but there is one advantage you can make a decision on not to sell at a loss and that is not possible with gambling and hence you really cannot compare gambling and day trading as traders are not forced to sell and that is a major difference  Wink.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The next monster on: April 19, 2020, 12:49:36 PM
Maybe the best tech I have come across with an extremely dedicated team and great community. With it's easy to use staking platform, chain factory and Nerve - the decentralised digital asset service network I think this coin will start making moves into the top 20 over the next year. Constantly ranked in the top 10 projects on CCID (China based crypto ranking) it's only a matter of time before this project explodes.
I have not heard about that project but will look into it, but to expect anything from China to explode we are already suffering from one of the virus that exploded world wide and now i do not believe that comes out of China Tongue. I am not a big fan of staking platform as those platforms are really not decentralized as anyone with money for the maximum will always earn the profits.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: April 19, 2020, 11:43:54 AM
My income from bounty work has really dropped 80% now, I try to survive by trading and looking for a good airdrop campaign. But that was not enough, when I wanted to try to apply for a permanent job, economic conditions were bad because of the pandemic. There are no companies that open jobs. Can only survive with the remaining savings  Sad
Does that mean that you were surviving all this time even before the lock down with airdrops and campaigns  Shocked. Not sure what these bounty you are talking about either way good luck because you might not find work in the real world anytime soon as the virus is still spreading at a high rate and all the companies will be struggling after all these and might not even hire people.
186  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why bitcoin will never fall? on: April 14, 2020, 11:49:18 PM
Failure is subject though, mining? of course, because there are incentives to mine bitcoin obviously, individuals or big entities will continue to mine as long as they are going to make money out of it. We won't be hear, 10 years or more has pass and bitcoin is still standing, the price goes on a bubble in 2017 and even though we have been through a lot of tough times, it is so resilient. I don't know why you compare bitcoin to dollar though, maybe what you mean is that bitcoin is like a currency.
If mining is the only done for profit then once the halving takes place you will not find many miners mining the coin if the price does not go up as they will not even break even to the expense they are encountering mining the coin, the miners need to find a solution to overcome these situation if the price does not go up as expected.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Could Ripple’s XRP could reach $1 in 2020 ? on: April 12, 2020, 09:44:34 PM
Even if it did not reach the $1 price tag this year it still deserves to be in your portfolio and it's too early for us to think that it will not reach that $5 level, Ripple is a work in progress, this is the only coin that un seat Ethereum in it's standing although shortlived.
Hope you are aware that XRP is a centralized coin that cannot be mineable and hence you cannot compare with ETH, the only thing that can be compared is the unlimited amount of coins it can churn out and the expectation for some is that the price would reach a dollar which means it will cross a trillion dollar alone and the entire crypto market is just a couple hundred billion.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin Airdrop do you think will perform the best in future and Why? on: April 10, 2020, 10:15:19 PM
How exactly can any of the Shitcoins listed above, can steal your Bitcoin? AFAIK, you can simply move your bitcoin to a separate address and claim all of these fork/airdrop without any problem.
This is normal way to claim the fork coins but there will be people who makes silly mistakes and looses everything, even during the BCH fork we saw many fake wallets coming out and people making mistakes and thereby loosing their coins and the scammers will be looking for these mistakes, i am yet to claim all the forks mentioned and i have no idea which one will perform better in the future.
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The current world market situation. on: April 10, 2020, 09:10:01 PM
I do not know if everywhere in the world is going to worse. In the UK maybe and in Spain maybe as well as other countries but that is because they did not put things into lockdown immediately. But in China and Singapore for example, where they immediately did strict lockdown, things are already looking like they could improve later this year!
It all depends upon how the virus can be contained and stop the spread, if not it will be a huge hurdle for everyone, some of the countries are lucky that the virus is not affecting that much especially highly populated countries in Asia compared to the amount of patients in America and Europe, another possibility is that they are not revealing the real data or their testing process is not that great. Singapore is a small country and they could contain the spread easily than the big countries.
190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 09, 2020, 05:14:57 PM
It is clear the above news that the Serie A league will continue at the time of this pandemic they say it will continue in June (I hope that there is no change) in this season there will still be a championship which will not be as festive as the previous season due to limitations in the crowd so that this will maintain its safety.
Just a little difference with Lazio is not impossible that Lazio will overtake with their victory and let's wait for the next match in Serie A.
It is better that there will be no championship as the number of patients are increasing on a daily basis in Italy and the number of patients died is staggering and it will take a long time for everyone to come out of this physiological trauma that everyone went through. Right now you cannot tell that situation will be sorted out by June but we might see matches with empty stadiums if the graph goes down for a while.
191  Other / Off-topic / Re: Ripple's Partner Sued for Cancelling Deal Over COVID-19 on: April 09, 2020, 03:12:23 PM
Ripple's Partner Sued for Cancelling Deal Over COVID-19
SoftBank reasons are:

- the corona virus pandemic has impacted their business their business
- WeWork is under criminal investigation and that's why they have distance themselves.

Do you think that is is a valid reason? Does WeWork has the chance to win or settle this out of court and they proceeded with the lawsuit?
Every business is affected by this pandemic and they might reach a solution and settle off the court rather than suing them when their business is affected, no idea about the partnership that is discussed here but WeWork is having financial difficulties and they even cancelled an IPO they were planning earlier due to financial issues and with that in mind they need to pay a huge amount of money to the legal team which i think is not a realistic approach with their financial issues well documented.
192  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic outcome on: April 09, 2020, 01:09:44 PM
I have limited my funds from the beginning. I make a priority for urgent needs and never spend money on unnecessary ones.
This is a situation most of us are facing and it would be wise if we could cut down unnecessary spending as we have no idea about the extent of this situation and how long it will last.

I have heard from many sources about the possibility of a global economic recession, so I prepared everything that I can. FYI, in my city, the prices of daily needs are growing but all of us must stay at home and no jobs. In this condition, we must be smart to manage our money.
There will be a recession as majority of the market place are shut down and the production is reduced because of the seriousness of the pandemic and to enforce social distancing and if the production goes down the price goes up naturally. The only option is to wait for the government funds to reach you and survive this situation.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for games to earn/win free cryptocurrency on: April 09, 2020, 06:19:21 AM
Hello.  I am looking for browser based or iTunes app store games where you play for real cryptocurrency, ideally with no deposit required.  Playing SurvivalBet allows me to earn SIN, XLM, or DOGE by staying alive and it really got me interested in other games.

There is not much legit projects like that, there is a Brave browser which gives you BAT token for viewing the advertisement but the rest of the things you download and browse has the risk as they will be monitoring your activities and you might even install malware looking to make free money, faucet and other small games are available but for most part it is just a waste of time.
194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 08, 2020, 08:10:21 PM
Finally the mystery is revealed as to where the UFC 249 will take place, as per the reports it will take place in Tachi Palace Casino Resort in California and it is located in a tribal land and hence they will be able to overcome the restrictions imposed by the authorities
So the UFC will be the only sporting event that is taking place in the entire world in the past month and the location is determined but still there might be more hurdles to cross before the event actually takes place, if there is a restraining order by the court during this pandemic where ten thousand people already died in America and the situation is getting worse.
195  Economy / Economics / Re: Cutting of Salaries in Indian Companies - Failed Future? on: April 08, 2020, 04:40:04 PM
So the low end of the salary range there starts at $120,000 USD? I don't buy that. Maybe the OP may have mis-converted some numbers? 1 INR = 0.01 USD.
If that is the real salary range i would gladly move to India  Cheesy. I wonder majority of the population are under this salary range, i understand that there are many wealthy people from India but that is a relatively small population considering the billions of people living in India. If these salary cut is real that only the ultra rich are forced to cut their salary then it is not a big deal.
196  Economy / Economics / Re: returning to normal on: April 07, 2020, 11:05:22 PM
When you say that the virus is going to change the public behavior, how exactly do you mean? Are you trying to say that people will still continue to distance themselves after this? If you ask me, I’d say not likely. This will still come to an end, it is not here to stay. And when this is over things are going to get back to normal, just as it used to be before.
There will be a major change in the medical health system for each and every country and people will be more careful when they are in the public, it is not about distancing but i wont be surprised if people start wearing mask when venturing outside in the future.

Food can't be prepared out of air and vegetables are going to vanish soon, so an extremely bad mix of non-treated patients and ended economy is yet to be seen and we need to be prepared for the same. I'm seeing an era where possibly man will start eating man.  Undecided
These are situations that a government needs to take the initiative to prevent these from happening but cannibalism is a bit too extreme and i do not see that happening in a society in 2020 Cheesy.
197  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin fall bellow 3000$ and Gold price will increase? on: April 07, 2020, 09:33:34 PM
Can't say about Gold as it's completely getting out of my mind how the hell is this asset growing in price amidst global market falldown. But I believe that BTC may surely fall below $3k to make a new low and will start showing big green candles immediately afterwards.
The reason for the price of gold is moving higher is because people view it as a store of value and so is the reason the price always move higher during a war situation or during economic crisis, the stock markets will fall when there is a economic slowdown and the big time financial investors will start investing in the golden metal during that period and hence the rally.
when it comes to bitcoin we might see a drop in price once again before the big rally but the timing of the rally depends upon the global economic condition.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 1 JAN 2021 BTC WILL HIT 100K$ on: April 04, 2020, 11:53:41 PM
denial of Growth is in the market face and no signs of gains so far but lets see and Pray that at least by June this is over and we will see economic recovery soon.
The situation is not that easy like it is, even by June if the virus is controlled then it will take months for the economy to become stable, the factories had to start manufacturing and it will take over a year for everything to be normal again, the economic impact of these situation will be known in the next few months and how each and every government is planning to tackle these is still a mystery.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrities advertise scam ICO again on: February 28, 2020, 10:54:10 PM
People who advertise scams should be punished as well, celebrities are stupid people who will advertise and do anything for money and with these stupid people having millions of followers in social media they should have some backlash for pushing people to stupid projects and we had seen many scam and exit tokens in the past advertised by celebrities and we all know the fate of those projects.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin SV Could It Reach All Time Highs? on: January 29, 2020, 05:26:50 PM
If you have to decide between the two, I would go for Bitcoin Cash, but for me, I am not investing a bitcoin fork for long term, bitcoin would still beat all the forks combine as bitcoin is not about a faster or cheaper transaction, it's been use now as a store of value like gold.
I seriously doubt you can attract new investors just to view bitcoin as a store of value, you need to have the utility and then on top of that if it is a store of value then it would grow in adoption, if not the entire market will stuck to move forward, to be frank i am waiting for more development from the team in the future rather than going in one dimension as store of value.
