Either we are going to see one more squeeze to margin call the longs or we are leaving those behind waiting for $13k coins...
183  Economy / Speculation / Re: Peter Schiff Advices Don't Buy the Dip on: June 19, 2022, 05:03:47 PM
The dude has been on Tucker Carlson and FoxNews.... credibility -----> Window
It doesn't take a fool to see the market is in the bear run, tho. His point is quite common among traders right now. Doubt we're actually hit the floor yet so trying to buy the dip at this time is unwise.

We are also far far away from the top so any investment will most likely be big profits within 4 years.

Time to drink.

lucky you, sniffing glue is all i can afford now

I was sniffing gasoline for a while there but that got too expensive.

Jenkem for me  Cry
185  Economy / Speculation / Re: Today is the day on: June 19, 2022, 11:53:52 AM
The bear season isn't finished yet, I think we have to prepare for the worse and more dead times for Bitcoin.

I have seen recently that Bitcoin is moving back close to $20k, a short pump might lead to something a huge dump in return. I was thinking now for $15k, might this be possible?

It has to say that the month of June is more troublesome, I expect more panic selling rather than accumulations.

It's both
- Average joe is panic-selling
- Margin traders are getting their asses sold
- Whales are accumulating
186  Economy / Speculation / Re: Peter Schiff Advices Don't Buy the Dip on: June 19, 2022, 11:10:46 AM
I think better advice would be to not buy when Bukele is buying the dip  Grin
Every single time that wanna-be trader has bought the dip it went lower and lower just a few days later.

Right now he hasn't yet bought despite getting a 30% discount so by all logic this should be the real bottom, despite what Schiff says.

When the price was $60k + a lot of people were thinking I should have got into Bitcoin when it was $20k or I should have bought more.
and when we hit $60k again I'll bet there will be people cursing themselves for following Schiff's "advice".

You're ignoring the people that
- bought at 50k,  40k and at 30k thinking it won't go lower than this
- people that sold at 60k, 50k, 40k, and 30 k and are laughing their ass off seeing how they can buy 3 times more coins in some cases now

Everyone is saying weak hand, hold till death, but at the same time, some of the weak hands are raking a profit now!
You can say that, there is nothing wrong with it at all. However, the problem is not finding the optimum, you think people can find the optimum but they end up failing, the advice to hold is the one given to people who can't do that. If you bought at 3k, sold at 68k, and got back in at 20k, then they can totally do that, nobody says hold to that person.

However, if you buy at 3k, hold when it was 68k, sell at 20k instead to take profit and it goes to 30k instead, that would be wrong right? So this advice of holding is not to people who trade amazingly, it is to people who make wrong moves and end up losing all of their money, which happens daily.

Also you need to take into account your security.
Making profits means having your coins in hot wallets or on exchanges which can get hit hard in these dire moments.
I take a more defensive posture with cold wallets instead of optimizing profits.
187  Economy / Speculation / Re: Today is the day on: June 19, 2022, 09:26:10 AM
I do not think that today's description will be accurate because the price may be lower in the coming days, but we are in the time range in which the price of Bitcoin is very low and therefore ideal for those who want to invest in the long term.

All the technical analyzes that I mentioned will not help the price to be higher than the current level and it may drop to more than 90%, since it is the first time that many things are happening, but the most important point is to buy more or not to sell at least.

$1000 btc would be a dream come true
188  Economy / Speculation / Re: Today is the day on: June 19, 2022, 09:25:30 AM
If you look at logarithmic models then this was expected to happen after the next halving.
And yet people still thinks that bitcoin is going to see it's end everytime the market is on its red days. My newsfeed is full of these kind of people again, they're prophesizing that the cryptocurrency market is facing its end, I just laugh at all of them though, while they're panicking, here I am stockpiling my stash and waiting for the prices to go down much more.

Yup aren't we all. I'm panicking where to get the investment funds from, to buy in this fire sale...
189  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 19, 2022, 09:21:43 AM
I  have a gut feeling this is going to stay low until 6th of July.
Then the SEC approves the Grayscale ETF. Institutional investors will buy in at a discount and everything goes up like a rocket... Smiley

Wish I could share that thought, but I suspect that there will be a lot of selling coming from that. Think about it the discount is currently 35% or something if it would become an etf the price woould immediately spike to parity then people would sell the shit out of it, as it would be a 35% increase straight away.

I could easily be wrong but that's how I see it. If you see the discount decrease a few days prior chances are that is insiders buy for that outcome.

I also hear though that there is no chance it will get up. I don't think this dump will help.

You are not wrong, however...

See the big picture here. The SEC approval paves the way for businesses to officially enter the Bitcoin realm.
Many of the biggest companies want to invest in Bitcoin and that means billions of $$$ having access to Bitcoin.

That's providing the biggest companies still want to invest after what has just happened and also if they are willing to invest during a recession.

Once the liquidations cease and all the rotten flesh is cut out of the system the healing will start...

Bitcoin is a better option than a savings account Smiley

195  Economy / Speculation / Re: Terra cofounder Do Kwon is the one who is pumping Bitcoin on: June 18, 2022, 10:09:00 PM
I expect crypto, like stocks to retract. But for some reason i hope Saylor will survive this bear market.
We've had so many idiots associated with crypto; Mcafee, Musk, Garza, Da Kown, it's good to have a normal person, a business person, being associated with crypto right?

New faces come to the crypto market every time and they try many things but fail. Elon Musk is another name that has tried to make a lot of impact in the crypto market and he has taken advantage of it. Such people will keep coming as time goes on and we have to see their nonsense activities. Micro strategy took entry into the market at a time when the bull market, I do not know if it was the decision of their financial advisor or the decision of the CEO to take entry at a high price!

Just an idea based on what I think I know about the american system....

Buy high with a long term horizon
Get a tax deduction on the losses you can spread over the years to come
It goes back up an you have profit and low taxes

198  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitoin prediction - 1 Million dollar by 2025 (Expert) on: June 18, 2022, 09:41:30 PM
In my opinion, the price of bitcoin reaching $1 million seems difficult to happen. Although anything can happen in the crypto market, it seems too much to predict the price to reach $1 million in 2025. Moreover, in 2022, bitcoin prices continue to weaken and it is still difficult to rise to the area above $40k. Even reaching the target of $100k as predicted by some experts before always failed.

Using power log law growth you get $1M in 2029 at the earliest. And $1M is inevitable in 2033.

2025 should be between 99k and 340k

I am in utter disbelief we just shouldn't be here.  Cry

You are right.  But markets give 0 fucks about that.

I am just angry that every penny of capital I have either already IS bitcoin, or I need for my family and cannot risk, though the risk grows smaller and smaller.

Me 2 but my GF convinced me to put in that little bit more <3 Smiley

I have quite some BTC but I'm giving ETH a shot with some on-the-side-cash

I had a few billion of shibas/shibes wtf u call them, and I was so pissed that I had to pay ETH for the transaction. I had to send from my hard wallet some LTC on the swap wallet to buy 0.02 ETH for the fee. I was so mad that day and the stench of ETH stood with me in my mind for so long.   Roll Eyes   Roll Eyes

Well I remember BTC having a >$50 transaction fee at one point when the market was crazy...
Things can get fixed... Smiley
