They've also applied for the iOS store, I think twice. The first time I remember they were rejected for a stupid reason... I think because you could send and receive funds? Apple wants to take a piece of every $$$ transaction so for now the Electroneum team is trying to get just the miner there (and with the basic overview of your wallet transactions I guess).

Apple even rejected Steam Link from their store for a similar reason... again for not being able to add fees in Steam store purchases.

I have the same issue but not with "all" miners. It's just some miners failing. I don't know if it's always the same miner but DSTM (for zcash) was surely one that failed to start after hours of mining.
By the way I have made my "HashRate" files inside the "Stats" folder read-only. Sometimes I run two instances of the miner for two different groups of cards, but if I don't have the files in read-only weird things happen when for example there are two instances of CCminers running.

This is the most transparent auto-exchange pool I've seen. You can check how many coins were sold and how many were bought from your transactions history. Check this with the prices you get from the exchanges and let me know if you see any difference.

You're probably mining for just 24 hours and since there's a delay until you accumulate enough coins to be traded the first payouts start coming later and they seem to be lower than expected. Run it for 48h and then see the average of the last 24h.

Too bad those guys are "legit thiefs". I should use the word that starts from "sc" and ends in "um" but it's way overly used... well... they're stealing your money but at least with your own approval, so I guess that title is what suits them best!
They're saying they charge 0.5% fee but their exchange rate is off the roof! With 100€ you should get 46 ARK and with them you get 35.61 ARK! That's not 0.5%.

I wouldn't call them "legit thiefs" if they'd come upfront and tell you "hey, we need 10% for our bank and exchange fees and another 13% for our profit", I would call them just "opportunistic exploitationists"!

1) Κάποτε ήταν 100 άνθρωποι που πειραματίζονταν με το  Bitcoin και η αξία του ήταν 1€

2) Μετά από κάποιο καιρό 900 άνθρωποι αποφάσισαν να δοκιμάσουν αυτό το Bitcoin και αγόρασαν μερικά νομίσματα. 1000 άνθρωποι το είχαν αγοράσει, άλλοι για την πλάκα τους και άλλοι για επένδυση με μακρινό μέλλον. 10€ η τιμή του Bitcoin

3) Η τεχνολογία προχωράει, καταστήματα αρχίζουν πειραματικά να δέχονται BTC, αυξάνεται η ζήτηση και η τιμή πιάνει τα 100€. Αρχίζει να συζητείται το πως κάποιοι εκατοσταπλασίασαν την επένδυσή τους και πόσο κόστησε η πιο ακριβή πίτσα στον κόσμο

4) 9000 χιλιάδες άτομα αρχίζουν να αγοράζουν και λόγω περιορισμένου απόθέματος η τιμή αυξάνεται γρήγορα στα 1000€. Πολλοί από τους πρωτοπόρους πουλάνε μεγάλες ποσότητες και η τιμή πέφτει

5) Καινούργια άτομα συνεχίζουν να αγοράζουν BTC κάθε μέρα με σκοπό να πλουτίσουν, έχουν κουραστεί από την άδικη φορολόγιση και τον φτωχικό τρόπο ζωής οπότε στην ιδέα και μόνο πως ένα σύστημα χτηπάει τους πλούσιους τραπεζίτες και κάνει τον απλό λαό πλούσιο, αρχίζουν να σημετέχουν σε κάθε ICO που υπόσχεται λαγούς με πετραχήλια, να αγοράζουν κάρτες γραφικών με 1500€ και λόγω του FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) να αγοράζουν στην κορυφή, αγνοώντας το στάδιο 6 που ακολουθεί...

6) Όσοι είχαν αγοράσει είτε για τη πλάκα τους είτε γιατί ήλπιζαν να βγάλουν 4-5 χιλιάρικα σε μερικά χρόνια, βρέθηκαν με εκατοντάδες χιλιάρικα ίσως και εκατομμύρια στα χέρια τους. Το προφανές ήταν να πουλήσουν του λάχιστον κάποια ποσότητα από τα νομίσματά τους ή να βγούν τελείως από την αγορά. Ποιοί έχουν πλέον μείνει στην αγορά; Δεν θα γενικεύσω, δεν είμαστε όλοι άπληστοι άνθρωποι και ειδικά στην Ελλάδα με τα χάλια που επικρατούν αξίζουμε κάτι καλύτερο. Αλλά για σκέψου ποιοί διακοινούν νομίσματα σήμερα... ASIC users που έχουν ξοδέψει μια περιουσία για την αγορά "ηλεκτρικών σομπών" που πρέπει να πληρώνουν και ογκόδεις λογαριασμούς ρεύματος κάθε μήνα. Script-kiddies που κάνουν διπλό κλικ πάνω σε ένα miner και νομίζουν πως είναι hackers. Άνθρωποι που νομίζουν πως έγιναν επενδυτές μέσα σε 2 μήνες αλλά δεν ξέρουν να ξεχωρίζουν τα lows και τα highs στις ισοτιμίες. Άτομα που έβαλαν πολλά λεφτά την λάθος στιγμή και βλέπουν να έχουν χάσει χρήματα όταν νόμιζαν πως θα έβγαζαν εκατομμύρια.

Όταν σκέφτεσαι το 6ο στάδιο στο οποίο βρισκόμαστε, είναι να απορείς που δεν ανεβαίνει η αξία; Δεν έχουμε πολλούς νέους αγοραστές οπότε όσοι υπάρχουν (και πολλοί από αυτούς οδηγούνται από απληστία) απλά αλληλοχτυπιούνται κρατόντας τις τιμές σταθερές μεταξύ 5.000€ και 9.000€. Μόλις κατέβει τρέχουν όλοι να αγοράσουν πρώτοι. Μόλις ανέβει τρέχουν να πουλήσουν πρώτοι. Το μόνο που τους νοιάζει είναι να βγάλουν οι ίδιοι χρήματα εκμεταλλευόμενοι τους τόσους άπειρους που υπάρχουν.

Well I can understand that since I'm used to stock market valuations. A 20% increase in one day would be huge for the stock market and it'd be normal to sell some of your holdings, but 20% is a normal increase for the crypto market.

I though I'd take this oportunity to give my 2 cents to people wondering what project is a scum and what's not. Should we be afraid of being let down by Electroneum?

If a project promises too much, that's one red flag.
If it doesn't offer any working environment, that's an orange flag, I guess it depends on the project but investing on a white paper is very risky.
If it doesn't list the stuff members or by googling them you can't find real profiles, with old history of posts with mentions IN THEIR PERSONAL PROFILE that they're part of an startup project and an ICO, then the stuff members are made-up or copy-pasted profiles of real people. That alone is 3 red flags by itself.

Electroneum on the other hand has a real team, people have seen them in expos and talked to them. They've done real work, we're using their software and we've seen the patents they've applied. Even during the initially rough start they hired one of the biggest white-hat hacker companies to safeguard their systems and you could find the announcement in that company's website.

Ofcourse just like any legit company can fail and go bankrupt, so can any blockchain project. But then again, what is 100% sure and safe in life?

I think the price is holding pretty well regardless of the whole sell-off. Probably not having a pre-mine and being ASIC-reistant helped a lot with this coin.

From the way he's explaining the problem, I can understand he has either limited knowledge of how the blockchains work or he has limited knowledge of the English language.
If it's the first case, then people please don't hold big amounts of coins you don't understand in detail how they work and how to secure yourself.

If you don't know what to do in order to protect yourself from continuously emerging threats, better save your coins on official wallets from the coin's developers on your phone. That's probably the most newbie-friendly safe approach.

I have some mined Mun coins (skunk) on my earnings that's standing there unconfirmed for the last two days. I happened to point the miner on a single coin in another pool for a little while and that's how I noticed a two days old earning. What's wrong with that? Also BitSend (xevan) is standing at Immature (203/289) after 12 hours. Those delays invalidate the whole purpose of auto-switching to the most profitable algo.

Come on ARK, if you're going to fall among the overall selloff, then do it right and go to 1€ ! I've bought on 2.00€ and on 1.50€ prices, now waiting for lower... though very unlikely!

Since you know the way your pool is reporting estimates better than anyone, would you suggest us to use Nemos' "plus" feature or just use your pool's current estimates?

I've noticed that the "plus" feature is often mining algos that are not very populated with miners and this makes it very likely to go hours without getting any rewards.
The current estimate on the other hand keeps changing miners every 5-10 minutes, losing a lot of time in betweens. I'm using a wait time of 3 minutes and a required difference in earnings of 15% before a miner can be changed, so it's not my settings.

The devs didn't want to rollback after the last attack, right? I suppose they're not going to rollback now either? Well it'd be stupid if they'd rollback so many days later anyway.
I'll keep holding my mining rewards at these prices, too low to sell but... the devs act like a red flag for hackers! Be more aggresive against hacks pls!

I've created a new strategy a few months ago!

I have 2 big holdings,

• One in XRP for long term savings which I'm not planning to cash out ever unless a need arises. Except if the equivalent amount in euros reach too high levels in which case I'll trim down my XRP balance in order to keep 50k-75k.
  
• Another big holding in ARK which I'm constantely increasing through mining and trading. It's an advanced platform with a DPoS utility coin, very good potential and a professional team. At the moment I'm making just 9€/month through staking (or 30€/month if you count the All Time High). This payout could reach high levels while I keep mining other coins and trading them to ARK, high enough to cash it out every month!

If you're blocking the Windows updates, you better only use this PC only for mining. If a new dangerous virus was released on the internet and Microsoft releases a safety update a few days later, you won't be able to get that update.
