1821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Gridcoin (GRC) - first coin utilizing BOINC - Official Thread on: May 23, 2018, 01:13:31 PM
Did anyone update on the last BOINC version (May's version)?
I get all kind of strange behaviors while using the grcpool and I was wondering if anyone else had any problems if they updated.
1822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: May 23, 2018, 12:57:16 PM
I haven't ever started mining a coin right after it forked an update! I wonder how would that work... if I start mining one hour prior to the update, will the miner still work without restart? The pool will probably send the new algo for computation automatically, right? Any prior experiences from other miners?
1823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: May 23, 2018, 12:33:50 PM
just wanted to share my mining setup:

miner: enemy-1.10

5 - Zotac 1060 6Gb mini -pwl 80%, cc +110, mc +400
3 - Zotac 1070 Ti 8Gb mini -pwl 80%, cc +200, mc +500

hashrate between 75 and 82 Mh/s depending on RVN x16r algo

if anyone has a better setting/hashrate pls share it !

I have 8 1060 3gb inno3d with Samsung ram.
Running at 65w Core +200, Memory +600 suprnova pool and using enemy miner 1.0.3 through SMOS.

Getting 175-200 coins per day.

Had it at 75w but didn't notice much of a difference as coins range between 175-200 per day anyway.

As if profit calculation wasn't hard enough already, with RVN you get even bigger fluctuations because of the different algos it uses!

I believe your best chance is to look at your hashrate from the miner's console (not the average but the moment's hashrate) and quickly apply different OC values. If you're lucky and the algo doesn't change until the next hashrate print, then you can see how much of a difference your OC values had.

yeap, that's what I did with my nVidia cards and settings above are stable.
My AMD cards are a mess, cannot find a stable settings, getting crashes, dead cards and so on. Still trying to figuring it out!

I have a solution for you! I'm selling a 1070 card so that'd help you replace the AMD and their broken software! Roll Eyes

Sorry for too many posts  Sad

My 'common sense' wasn't right.
After reading bounty details:

Signature campaign - 40% of bounties.
FB and Twitter - both 10%
Medium, Youtube airdrops should be distributed already.

So, we have more than 50% (~$300000 in current prices) will flow the market between 30 May and 7 June.
It will be funny week...

It depends if the bounty hunters are willing to sell the tokens for so low current price ...  and if they do sell, then we will get some opportunity to buy low.  Grin

I was planning to sell my signature bounty and keep the amount I bought from the ICO... but at those low prices I'm no sure what to do! Undecided

1826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: BlockMasters.co is probably artificially increasing their 'current estimate' on: May 23, 2018, 07:14:26 AM
If you're using NemosMiner you can put a percentage of difference between the pool's reported estimates and the real estimates.

Officially you can do that by going to the CONFIG folder and editing the POOLS file, but that doesn't seem to work for me.
What I did instead in order to add a 15% penalty to Zpool (my estimation) was changing the "zpool.ps1" (and "zpoolplus.ps1" in my case) by changing the mathimatical expression next to the variabl "Price" on line 42.
I made it into "Price = $Stat.Live*0.85" which means whatever price Zpool shows is reduced by 15%.

User Numbers!
Just a quick update to point out that as of today we have over 1.43m users through viral marketing alone! We have the instant payment system being filmed by a documentary crew on the 8th June and we are hoping to have that fully live by the end of Q3 this year, allowing vendors around the world to start accepting instant crypto payments via their ecommerce systems, epos (tills) and via the Electroneum app. Once that happens, we will start marketing and using our partners to grow our numbers to REALLY substantial numbers!

Those are the things that's gonna have the biggest influence on the price! They're aiming outside the crypto community where people already know them anyway and go for the masses.
1828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - Blockchains Interoperability with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK on Binance 🔹 on: May 22, 2018, 03:58:58 PM
Ark is doing an amazing job at marketing during Consensus 2018, also V2 is going to release soon but why the price is dumping this is really sad to see an unexpected gift.

There, I fixed your sentence for you! Grin
I though that the days of cheap ARK from mining rewards were over when I saw over 3€ (or almost 4$), but it fell again. Good!
1829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: May 22, 2018, 09:38:19 AM
Someone just dumped two lots of 1.3 million ETN on cryptopia. Everyone HODL !!!!!!!!!

They are either driving the price down on purpose or dumping their ASIC load.

Just 1.3 million ETN? That's could be one week's profit for a farm with a "few" ASICs.
1830  Economy / Economics / Re: why do people agree to pay taxes? on: May 21, 2018, 02:09:32 PM
why is it ok for a group of people calling themselves the government to force everyone to buy their services?
if enough armed people refused to pay and told the government to go fuck itself there is nothing they could do.
I am sure that you are aware on what is the importance of taxes, we pay taxes because our society needs it. The government collecting taxes to develop and to improve the economy of a country. They are also giving services to their citizen for the citizen to keep safe and get better lives.

You're obviously not living in Greece! Grin
We have no security, we pay for doctor visits or else we wait 2 months, we pay a big part of the medicines, most towns have terrible enviroments (no parks, bad roads, limited lighting), I hear about retirements being cut 50% down and in some case even more (but I have no personal experience on that unlike the rest of the problems).

In a country like that, you don't feel very thrilled to pay taxes!
1831  Economy / Economics / Re: why do people agree to pay taxes? on: May 21, 2018, 02:03:31 PM
I did some calculations on the profits I make from the stock market and it's pretty "funny" if you think of how much you pay on fees and taxes.

I use the broker FxPro, after some research and demo-ing I found them to have the smallest fees. Depending on which stock I buy, how long I keep it and for what profit I sell it the fee is different, but on average 15% of my earnings are going to fees (I'm trading with margin so that's fair). I've summed the fees of both my lost and win trades which is why the figure is high. Also note that this is based on my 1 year average.

On top of that 15% I get taxed another 15% if I declare my winings at the end of the year.
After I've received the money, I obviously want to use them, but the VAT on goods in Greece is 24% !

So whatever money I make in a risky environment such as the stock market, 45,09% are fees and tax and I only keep the 54,91% (if you don't understand the math behind it, don't ask me how I calculated this!).
Of course if I lose more than I gain, I keep all the loses to myself! Grin

At least with cryptocurrencies I can use them to buy goods directly from shops and ignore any tax on earnings. I still pay for the VAT on goods but some tax paying should always exist, it's good for the national services to work.
1832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡[ANN]⚡CryptoRiya 💰 Crypto to Cash Anywhere Without any Bank 🗼 Join PreSale 🗼 on: May 21, 2018, 01:29:19 PM
So... do you have anything ready? If you had anything ready I'm sure you wouldn't need an ICO, you'd just release your product and get paid by the fee.
If you need an ICO, then you need money to work on your project. In that case, can you convience me that you'll be able to accomplish what you're promising?
1833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: May 21, 2018, 01:14:36 PM
With 1080TI we try to max out with other algo.
If you are diehard ETH, dual mine with other altcoin is nice as this ti can do much more on dual mine vs others
The facts still remained the profitability has dropped since last two weeks. Have to face reality
But i am very curios how the other guy claim thry can do 500 dgb a day. Will be nice if he can share his trick

I use the 1080Ti mining ZEC at the moment. Do you think it is more profitable to mine other coins?

It won't make big difference. It'd would also depend on how much of another coin you'd accumulate before trading it. If you instately exchange small quanities into ZEC, you lose a lot in fees and you might end up getting less ZEC compared to the amount you'd get by mining it directly.

On the other hand if you keep mining another coin until you accumulate a big amount and then trade it, you risk big changes in the prices... either ZEC going up and you'll be able to buy less, or the coin you mine going down. Ofcourse in this case the whatever-coin you mine could go high faster than ZEC and you get a good deal out of it, but that's a 50-50 luck based.

If you have a big rig and you can accumulate shitcoins fast and sell them in big amounts, then do that. Otherwise stick to mining ZEC.
1834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ZEC] ZCASH - All coins are created equal. Discussion Thread (Unofficial) on: May 21, 2018, 11:42:36 AM

Basicaly, few paragraphs with nothing said.

Am I reading a different article? They said "Recently the Zcash Foundation announced a plan to prioritize ASIC-resistance research"
I just heard about the new stupid ASICs to be honest but I'm glad the team is working for ASIC-resistance. I just hope they would make it quick enough so as to throw people who support ASIC into a loss. If these guys make a profit, then they'll keep supporting new ASICs and Bitmain will keep draining money.

Hello. I'd like to try your pool because I like how transparent everything is.
However the NemosMiner which supports auto-switching between algos doesn't support your pool. It's open source though and I might be able make it work somehow, but maybe there's a miner with auto-switching functions that support your pool?
1836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: May 20, 2018, 11:12:52 AM
They throw this coin in market to face every kind of situation both worse and appreciated moments. Once it will have seen these difficulties whatever gain will be in its value will last more in my opinion. That is the reason it looks better and holds the price at above $0.03 easily without big efforts. They need long term holders and they will be people with strong nerves not speculators.

I see myself as a strong hodler but when/if this coin hits a big exchange like binance and the price sky rockets im selling them asap!

That's not what a strong holder is though! Roll Eyes
1837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥[ANN] AMON ICO - Crypto Debit Card for Everyday Life🔥🔥 on: May 20, 2018, 11:12:09 AM
They release the bounty now, people will sell sell sell, Amon would collapse. If they do release it there should be a lock so they can’t just dump it
they do this gradually and this is a good decision, I think that the bounty participants will not collapse the market significantly
It's already collapsed so I don't see expect many to sell their free tokens! We might have a harder time going up though if people sell every time the price is about to take off.
1838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]★CryptoBridge★BCO★🔹Decentralized EXchange 📈RELEASED NOW BETA🔹 on: May 20, 2018, 11:09:55 AM
Hi there, I would like to ask help from anyone. I've been trading with Cryptobridge for a month now and haven't had any problem with them until today. I can't trade with them anymore because it always say that I don't have sufficient BTS to trade with. My concern is that I can't find the way to deposit BTS in their exchange and I can't buy any of it inside their exchange because it also requires some BTS. Running out of options here and I'm actually getting impatient about it.  Sad

You can either trade BTS/BTC or on the screen where you're trading other cryto, there's a dropdown list next to the fee. By default the fee is in BTS but if you don't want/have BTS just change the fee coin.
1839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: May 20, 2018, 11:07:40 AM
what are you guys mining these days?

Nothing. Rig has been quiet for weeks.

Sell it to me

I'm paying 10$ to buy it as well!

I'm contantely getting "Computation Error" in the "TN-Grid Platform" project.
Is this happening only to me? Has anyone found a solution to this?

I think I know what's the problem. The correct address of the project is the "http://gene.disi.unitn.it/test" but the grcpool uses "https". It could be the reason the tasks crash the moment they're starting, maybe their's an attempt to communicate with the wrong address?
