Did someone just make 2 1000 BTC purchases on Stamp?

Weird the price doesn't even move...
1822  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 09, 2015, 09:53:04 PM
Yup, excitement is already over.
1823  Economy / Speculation / Re: commission free trading on bitstamp till Jan 17th on: January 09, 2015, 09:50:24 PM
I noticed that as well. Thinking I might move some coins over there for some quick trading if there are no fees Smiley

How do you hunt bears? Patiently.

I hear bear meat is tough and greasy.
1825  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitstamp's stolen BTC on the move on: January 08, 2015, 02:01:56 PM
If these coins get marked or tainted or blacklisted or whatever I'm 100% out of BTC. I will have lost faith in the protocol and design of what it is supposed to be. Why don't we start blacklisting all coins that have been invloved in illegal gambling as well? Who knows where this would stop, every last coin will be tainted.
1826  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 08, 2015, 01:34:48 PM
So do you think bitstamp is coming back?? I have most money there

Bistamp is not being 100% truthful. Something is going on that they are not telling us; that is a fact. Whether or not they will come back, I don't know. The 24-48 hour promise is not happening.

I joined a couple years ago and there were even less females on this board then than there are now.

I think there have been times when I asked a stupid question and I have been treated a little nicer than some perhaps, but I have also been made fun of for my username too.   Undecided

That's what I thought and probably I'm not the last person who makes fun of your username. I don't approve people indicating that they should somehow be treated differently than the majority because they have something else between their legs than the majority. Last time I checked bitcointalk.org did not have dating subforum and thus advertising your gender in these forums seems inappropriate. While it's good to know that there are females in the community, asking for special treatment basically says that you don't want to be treated equally to men. The latter gets you in a pretty uncomfortable position, considering the hypocrisy in feminism. If this place was anything like 4chan, any reference to OP being a girl would get an instant answer "TITS OR GTFO".

Unless stated otherwise, basically everyone on this forum is male. So why are you so fixated on her gender? Just because someone has "chick" in their name doesn't equate to them asking for special treatment  Huh

Because he's a sexist piece of shit. Look at his other posts, this guy is unbelievable. It wasn't long ago that he posted there should be genetic engineering on the human genome so that every man could have a beautiful woman and that all the beautiful women are already "taken"... maybe it's just because he's a total asshole and no one is interested in being with him.

Regarding females, same expectations here Cheesy it's starting to piss me off that the beautiful ones are always taken. Am I the only one thinking that or is it a wide spread curse of all men? Shit we need genetic engineering of humans ASAP because every man should have a human right for a beautiful partner.

There's only one girl here, and that's bitcoinchick

Ahh the internet... where girls are actually fat guys and kids are actually the FBI.

ok here comes my theory about the last 24 hours.

1) Pantera decided that stamp "hack" is actually a really serious blow.

-> losing the faith of stamp users + bad PR (bad security/incompetence)

2) Pantera demand stamp to correct the situation asap

-> stamp didnt accept the demand (for whatever reason)

3) Pantera threatens to cut all ties to stamp if they dont accept the demand

-> removing dan morehead from bitstamp

4) stamp got scared and are now buying btc

i could get a oscar for this right?

 Cheesy

I think you're pretty close except it ends at #3

2nd trade: SELL bitcoin @ $301 on 01-07-2015.

Admit it, you must have been sweating those last few days when you bought at 297 followed by a dip to 270 and the shut down of stamp.

Also good to note, Morecoin Freeman is not using bitstamp Wink

Remember, this is a "revolutionary" technology that dropped 80% in value over the past year. Funny that I can't remember any other revolutionary technologies over the past 100 years that plummeted in value 6 years after their invention, and after pretty much everyone knew about them and still decided not to use them.

I don't remember anyone inventing P2P money before either. I'm pretty sure this is a new thing.  Let me check... yup it's new, first time thinga-ma-jig!

1833  Economy / Speculation / Re: [POLL] Current market movement indicating rally ? on: January 07, 2015, 07:55:21 PM
Until now 3 big exchanges collapsed , in 2015 will collapse 3 more, calculating cheap sha256 miners = BTC will be 50$ until the end of 2015.
Collapsing of exchanges is with purpose, everywhere where is big money, even honest people become thiefs. That's unwritten rule.

Cool at that price the mega miner operations will be forced to shut down, and the small time miner can jump in again.

BTC-e is the new king with stamp out of the way. Oldest and greatest BTC exchange, no ID verification, just like BTC is supposed to be.
1835  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 06, 2015, 07:20:55 PM
What do you guys think will happen when stamp comes back up ?

I created a poll for this yesterday

1836  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitstamp most likely will buy back the bitcoins they lost on: January 06, 2015, 07:16:31 PM
1) Bitstamp has enough to cover in their reserve.

OR

2) They buy the 18K coins through second market or another route. They are NOT going to go to finex and place a market order for 18K coins if that's what some people are thinking. Stamp buying 18K coins will have no affect on the price.
1837  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 06, 2015, 06:00:54 PM
I feel bad for anyone who does not have at least 10BTC at these prices.

LOL noob buys in with $3k in one buy. This is how you create weak hands. You need to dollar cost average homeboy. Buy a little bit every month and that way you are invested but not emotional about price swings.

Bryce Weiner says this Bitstamp fiasco isn't over yet...
Any idea what he's hinting at?
