841  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 02, 2015, 01:09:55 AM
I posted this last Sunday and I still stand by it. We should be okay as long as we stay over $270.
I think we will and I expect August will be a good month for the bulls  Cool

FYI....The next target is not $300 it is actually ~$315 to complete the handle, anything less will not complete the pattern.

Agreed, but even if we don't break it on this little upswing and drop a bit this coming week we can still be okay as long as we stay above $270. If it takes some time to get over $315 that's fine as long as overall trend stays positive.

I didn't think of that but it would be simple to code. I'll look into adding one this week.  Thanks!

You are welcome! You will have really good traffic, becouse owners of other faucets or regular users will advertize you. So I wait for referral program with good comission % Smiley

Thanks for the suggestion!
I just added the referral commission portion to the site.
You will receive 50% commission on all claims from people who sign up using your referral link.

With 4,000 satoshis an hour, you can receive 2,000 satoshis an hour doing nothing!
843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a lot of free bitcoins fast? on: August 01, 2015, 11:19:16 PM
You can earn 200 satoshi's every 3 minutes (4,000 per hour) with the faucet I built.  It's clean and not covered in ads or captchas...
The easiest way to get BTC is to buy it, but since you can't do that you will need to do signature campaigns and faucets.
844  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: August 01, 2015, 11:12:58 PM
I'm very confused..
I'm new in bitcoin and I think signature campaign for newbie is hard..
Any advice beside faucets? Should I be patience for 100 days(get full member) by only posting&doing faucets.. Or I should try new way beside signature campaign and faucets?

I think you should go for senior member accounts which pay higher rates as compared to newbie or full member account, and again you need to wait for the right signature campaign who pays a good amount of btc and also need to take care that its an genuine campaign.

well you can join already at some signatures ,soo you can maximize your earnings here ,if you got some money try to make something new ,maybe a new game ,maybe a new way to get bitcoins.

Yes Signature Campaigns are the good source to earn bitcoins, and the payout is guaranteed so there is no risk involved in it. I am 1 BTC per month from the signature campaigns and I believe it is a descent amount to earn.

For me, 1 BTC is like a extra income taking care of my basic stuffs like bills, grocery stuff and I am very much satisfied with it, in future I would use my luck in trading.

1 BTC is a huge amount!
At 0.0011 per post based on your rank and bit-x's payouts that would require over 900 posts a month or 30 a day... at that point you really are just spamming.

I like the sig campaigns since I can get a little extra BTC for doing what I already do, post about 20-30 posts per week and receiving 0.02-0.03 per week.
845  Economy / Speculation / Re: 21 millions bitcoiners on: August 01, 2015, 11:06:15 PM
There's a very small amount of people sitting on a great deal of coins. If there were that many people clamouring in quick succession it's quite possible sellers would just go on strike and the price would way overshoot a realistic value.

I like gentlemand's explanation/prediction the best. I agree, if the demand is through the roof and there are over 21 million actual bitcoin users, many people would likely stop selling or saying "yea I'll sell you one for a billion dollars".  Grin

Ok migration complete! The previous host was unreliable and there was LOTS of downtime. That should be a thing of the past now.

Faucet+Dice has been moved to http://coinables.website
Existing accounts and balances have been migrated.

Karpeles arrested..

I was lucky enough not to lose any coins at mtgox. When I got started in 2013, there were already ample rumors about their solvency and future, luckily I heeded those warnings and stayed away. I hope everyone that lost coins there eventually gets credited (wasn't kraken going to do some sort of payout on mtgox claims)?
849  Economy / Gambling / Re: COINROYALE.COM 2.0 • New Design • Provably Fair • 1 BTC Bonus • Max Bet Doubled! on: August 01, 2015, 01:19:59 AM
Showing a cold wallet address doesn't mean anything as the shady operator can still choose not to payout. We have been around for 1+ years (closer to 2 years) and never have any unresolved withdrawal issues. Our reputation speaks louder than anything.

What do you have to lose? There is no issue showing the cold storage right?

Looks like he answered you very well there. Just showing a cold storage address also doesn't mean that if they have the funds then they will pay you . It all comes down to how much you trust the site and how long it has been there.

Agreed. Coinroyale runs a really nice site and from my experiences they are trust worthy and fair. Every outcome is provable and cashouts are instant. I don't get why people want to see a cold storage address??  Huh

Please note: You may experience some temporary down time Saturday 8/1/15 at 10:00 AM PST.  While I migrate this faucet to another faster and more reliable server.
851  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Does anyone here use the blockchain.info Receive API? on: August 01, 2015, 01:06:42 AM
An alternative to the blockchain.info API is the Chain.com API. It's very easy to get up and running and the documentation is very robust, and there is support for various languages, or simple CURL requests.

OP is looking for payment forwarding. Chain.com API DOES NOT offer this with their API. Also I have noticed chain's API is VERY unreliable especially their websocket API. Blockcypher offers payment forwarding if you are looking for an alternative.
852  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptosteel: The Ultimate Cold Wallet Private Key Storage System on: July 31, 2015, 12:29:23 PM
Since there wasn't really a timeline given in the email, is there any ETA?

The first date was sometime in July, then that got moved to sometime in August.  Not sure if there are any further delays.

Yea there is no ETA from what I see. Ever since the delays, the previous timeline that was posted on indie gogo has never re-appeared or been amended. Since they are still working on tooling and manufacturing I'd guess at least another month or two.
853  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Does anyone here use the blockchain.info Receive API? on: July 30, 2015, 01:46:47 AM
I used it, however I found that the delay was too long to be used for today's standards. Make your own solution, don't use blockchains. Sometimes it actually doesn't send the notification.

So you're saying the delay isn't just due to a specific problem right now, it's always been like this!?

When you said I could use my own solution, do you mean, not use an API at all? Sorry for noob question but I am an amateur at this, I just do web development for a hobby.

No it hasn't always been like this, it used to be next to instant.
When I made my how-to tutorial video on using blockchain receive API it forwarded the payment immediately.

The proof is in the pudding, start the vid at 15 minutes if it doesn't automatically start there.
https://youtu.be/vWt9wRZ3Hhk?t=15m5s

You can wait it out or switch to a different service like blockcypher payment forwarding.

Very sleek looking invoice generator. I like it!
855  Economy / Speculation / Re: how many people in the world own any amount of Bitcoin? on: July 30, 2015, 01:27:55 AM
This will be the closest for you to determine:

https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html

The number is between 1 and the Number of Addresses holding coins. Several addresses can be owned by one user so its practically impossible to determine how much a given person actually owns. Unless you know all their addresses.

What this table shows is how poorly distributed bitcoin still is. To be expected given the Pareto principle.

I would assume this is expected to change in the future. As the price increases people will sell either for fiat or for assets.
If you look at the block halvings schedule we are still VERY early in the game.

Can i suggest one modify ? When signup, the username (then you need to login) is possible choose a bitcoin address for login, like other normal faucet?

I make it easy and do not require email verification or anything like that. Due to the dice feature I need to require username and password. Some people re-use the same bitcoin addresses across multiple faucets, and that could allow an attacker to start playing dice with other users faucet earnings.

still waiting for affiliate system

In the works. I have family in town so the amount of developing I can do right now is limited.

Update, the dice portion of the site is now provably fair and shows a history of your recent rolls!

You should definitely check out my latest project Faucet+Dice - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1135013.msg11979527#msg11979527

Unique: I hand coded the entire thing myself. No plugins, scripts, etc.
HQ: I tried to make the layout nice and clean.

Currently no ads during the grand opening. If traffic becomes consistent enough I plan to add 3 unobtrusive ads max.

1500+ files are in the ".git" directory that Git creates whenever you clone a project. This folder contains all of the revisions made to a project over time and is only necessary for development purposes, so avoid pushing it to your production server.

Thanks for that explanation Dan, I was wondering why there were so many files included when I cloned it on github.
