.. nice to see things haven't changed all that much  Cheesy

This place will never change. I have not been spending much time here lately either. The quality of the content has consistently gone down over the years.

He wants children in Bulgaria to learn about its history by completing simple tasks.
You can simply create an online form, integrate it into a beautifully children theme website and add some cool music in the background! Done Wink
BTW the idea if very generous and if i could, i would have helped him for free.

~Dr.Famous~

Hmmm... this is actually a pretty good idea! Thank you for your opinion!

When this bullshit is over (in like 10 years), I'll still be here, young enough to tip you with some FAIL. You just gave me another idea about how it can be used.

Thank you!

Bravo!

What's wrong with what he said?  I think he is 'for real', the game creators can always send him a message asking to test when the game does reach beta.

"Tell you more about game testing, everyone loves game testing"
How many experience he has in game testing ? What skills does it take to test professional games ? I don't see any relevant information why he should be chosen for the task.

I'm just guessing here, but I don't think everyone loves game testing.  Being a tester isn't as glamorous as it sounds, and repeatedly bumping into random walls or picking up and dropping an item 100 times gets old fast.
I'm guessing you're alt of that person to be so offended by a simple statement.I don't even need technical explanation..

naidray did nothing wrong and I congratulate him about what he said. My friend is trying to do something positive with his own funds. Can we try to be positive as well?
1845  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for a game developers on: May 17, 2016, 09:32:41 PM
Hello,

I know how it may sounds, but my friend is not exactly sure what he wants. The idea is to be somehow interesting and to serve its main purpose - to be educational. My personal thoughts are that the platform is not relevant. It is why I believe that probably few examples could help. If someone is good at something (no matter the platform), he could be "his guy". What I can vouch for is that my friend is really passioned, he loves our country, he does not expect any profits from that, and he will pay.

P.S. There are a lot of smart people in here. If you have the skills (and lets say, children), just think about on how can you entertain them, while they are learning. We all know how the technologies are advancing and our children are arguably becoming smarter than us, but meanwhile they are missing some things.

Cheers,
Spartak

I'll attempt to take you seriously....

Why? You just can't create a discussion with such people...

1847  Economy / Services / Looking for a game developers on: May 17, 2016, 09:47:58 AM
Hello,

A real life friend of mine has an idea about creating game (or game series) with educational purpose. He is bulgarian (though he lives in the US for quite some time) and he wants children in Bulgaria to learn about its history by completing simple tasks, while playing the game/s. The scenario for the game/s will be provided by him. I'm not sure what kind of games (and/or developers) are needed, but feel free to post suggestions (or offers, if you have some background) in this thread. He, of course, is ready to pay for everything.

P.S. I'm just trying to do him a favor by looking on more places (such as this forum).

Cheers,
Spartak

bl234st is right for one thing. Judging by your threads and posts, you are looking like a very negative person. I'm not blaming you, I'm just pointing to the facts...

Sorry to be rude, but maybe your brain power is just slightly lacking since you don't realize there are 5 billion alts and 99.9% of them are scams.  While you're performing fellatio on the scammers, most people know that none of these things have improved on BTC at all besides zk-snarks and ring signatures for anonymity (Zcash and Monero).  People like Belcher have already worked on p2p coinjoin for Bitcoin, so there's probably no reason for DASH to exist.  When I say "improved", it's not really clear on-chain anonymity will even be useful when you have to scale off-chain or via transaction bundling (2nd tier LN type solutions).

As for $martcontract$, Ethereum was just a joke from the start.  Releasing an IPO cash grab for a coin they didn't know how to make work, and we're now seeing likely not possible to work beyond a proof of concept level.  So yes, when speaking about altcoins, there's not a whole lot to be positive about.  You likely have a few video cards laying around you mine scamcoins with and instantly dump them, so your attitude towards them is positive as a money source.  If you look at them from the perspective of investing actual money, then logging on an altcoin exchange is like a Bernie Madoff theme park.

There may be not 5, but 50 billion coins, from which 99.99% are scams, but you just proved that you'd prefer to just trolling, instead at least try to make some researches. One of the proofs is that you are talking to me in this way. Frankly speaking, if you do that in real life, and in front of me, you'll be in deep trouble.

You may think that I am "performing fellatio on the scammers", but where is your proof for that? If you look more carefully you'll realize that I am everything, but a scammer (or their supporter). And at least I am trying to do something positive!

Bitcoin is going to $600+ soon before/after the reward halving. Its just inevitable (if there are no some bad news in the world of digital currencies). My concerns are about other coins/assets, which eventually will be dumped from the people who will follow BTC's uptrend...

I seriously doubt a sharp increase will happen. I have friends who had no idea what BTC was weeks ago investing a bunch of money in it anticipating the price to double. So many people expect the price to double that I doubt that it will happen.

And of course the biggest miners very likely stockpiled a shitton of BTC also expecting the price to rise a lot (if not double).

On one hand I hope I'm wrong but on another hand radical price changes alone are getting in the way of adoption - a lot of people want nothing to do with a coin that's price is so volatile.

You forgot few things:
1. Hashrate is controlled by the chinese.
2. Their largest mining farms made ROI long time ago.
3. Bitcoin's lower (than "expected") price just don't suits them.
4. They have a lot of money so they can wait.
5. Reward halves.
6. Speculation...

Do they have any venture capital backing them?

I think they don't...
1851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POS coins poll and information on: May 16, 2016, 07:38:33 PM
I think that FailCoin should also be on this list. Currently it is a hybrid PoW/PoS 2.0 coin with 2% interest/year, but it will be most likely forked to become Full-PoS. At the moment it is not looking as something special, but FAIL has one of the most honest and worldwide teams out there. We have a dedicated team members from countries such as Russia, England, Indonesia, Netherlands, India, France, Greece, Bulgaria, Thailand and South Korea. We are also currently trying to develop it not just as a digital currency, but as a community (i.e. @FailCommunity) with its own cryptocurrency.

Our goals is to help for the adoption of cryptocurrencies, and also to be the funny (and not so funny (helping people around the world by gathering funds, warning them for scams etc..)). An wallet with Social networks and YouTube will be released very soon!

P.S. I'm not "advertising" the coin nor I am trying to convince somebody to invest in it. What I am saying is that the goals of FailCoin are unlike many other coins, and it is pretty simple - adoption.

Cheers,
Spartak

I know about that one. This subject could be very controversial, because if some exchange make an announcement about a hack, it may scare a lot of people thus leading to its failure. I can say (in some way) that I see nothing wrong If they are indeed hacked and then quietly solved the problem, without going public.

These are some serious accusations...

Yo Spartak, how's Viacoin doing?

Are you implying something? Smiley

Huh?  Just curious bud...  Why so defensive?

I have sold all of my VIA coins at a huge loss. In 2014 I was mining like $800 worth of VIA/day with 420MH and I have also bought a lot of coins. I sold all of them at ~4-5k satoshi on average (more than 130k coins).

Sadly, it is a great project, but its marketing sucks and there were a lot of fudders...

This is a pointless question since most of the people are advertising their holdings. Smiley

It is indeed looking interesting. They did very well by changing their name. Smiley

Thank you for your honesty Spartak... I do want to advise you to hold the rest of your bag though... We are just getting started here.... But that is your own choice... Wink

No worries, its just I am in a bad situation right now... Btw, what will happen with the 20k coins, which are meant to reimburse the miners of the old GROW? You know that back in the days I mined it with ~400MH for quite some time. Smiley
