18481  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's stupid that newbies must make 5 posts and browse for 4 hours. Here's why on: December 27, 2013, 12:43:31 PM
I started today, while I was reading the forum already for a month. I had no clue, that I have to make several posts. Just googled. It is probably stated in the agreement when you register, no?

Yeah, it is. It's also in the Newbie readme: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=177133.0
18482  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Former CIA chief: Snowden should be “hanged by the neck until dead” on: December 27, 2013, 12:07:56 PM
BTW, Is CIA chief really that bad with executions, I mean hanging if proberly done should instantly kill the subject. So it's not really a suffocation trick that requires time.

Not instantly kill, it would be 10-20 seconds.  Instant would be if something like a shock wave moved faster than neural signal propagation.  But I think the CIA chief was alluding to a painful death, yes.

Snowden is not the problem if he brings the solution.

Snowden is not the problem if he evidenced the problem of lax security at National Stoopids America.

A textbook hanging will snap the neck so that the spinal cord is severed, immediately stopping the heart and lungs and rendering the subject clinically dead within 10 seconds but unconscious the second his spinal cord is severed.  If done properly, there is no pain.

Or actual decapitation if the person is heavy enough or rope long enough. There's a formula out there to prevent accidental decapitation, but it's not always successful.
18483  Other / Off-topic / Re: Buttcoin GIRL is back! on: December 27, 2013, 11:59:54 AM
She looks good from the back, but the front?

who cares, as long as she doesn't have a dick.. it's not like you will marry her.

I would marry her if she did have a dick.

Lol. Who is that guy, or is it just some random douche?
18485  Other / Off-topic / Re: FREE MONEY! Wait what? Get outta here.. on: December 27, 2013, 11:54:53 AM
Then the arguer says.. "In the Uk there are lots of immigrants that come into the country and dont work and they are given shelter and assistance." The arguer spoke as if every single immigrant in the UK did not work and just is basically sucking the life out the land and its ok!   << ---  wtf!

Don't listen to propaganda peddled by racist plebs. I have to hear this kinda of misinformation every day by people white british people who are themselves on benefits.

I agree that the system's wrong and it needs changing. In this country you can get pretty much everything for free if you so wish to play the system.

My ceiling Cheesy

Do you actually sleep on your back? I've never know any one who sleeps like that, unless you're in the movies and like to wake up from nightmares by sitting straight up haha.
18488  Other / Off-topic / Re: Shameless (US version) returns in about 2 weeks on: December 27, 2013, 11:39:00 AM

i saw that last night before making this post and i coulnd't understand any of it.. can you actually comnprehend wtf he's saying? why is it so hard to understand your english?

seems like the UK frank rambles by himself more than anything else.. US version of frank interacts with more people. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LD_zKs55bNs

Northern eloquence. UK Frank has his enlightening philosophical moments too, especially when he's sober Frank.
18489  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto Christmas presents on: December 27, 2013, 11:29:04 AM
I think the biggest concern would be that the person you're giving it to would end up forgetting a password or something like that. It may sound ridiculous to you but not everyone's Internet savvy, so I'd say it's very important to also give that person maybe a printed document which explains the basics.

That is a concern for sure, but you could just make the password something like their mobile number and/or DOB etc. If people are going to lose stuff then I'm sure they'd lose cash or vouchers as well.

Lol, I'm so looking forward to how much Batman vs Superman is going to suck. although I hope I'm wrong and it's brilliant.
18491  Other / Meta / Re: "Giveaway only accounts"/Sockpuppets on: December 27, 2013, 11:00:50 AM
I don't even think it's profitable to just post for givaways and stuff.

It could be very profitable. If you're willing to put in the work and have a handful of accounts posting with signature deals you could earn a decent wage. Look at all the coins that get given away in their infancy; if you hold on to them they might be worth something.

hmm...  50 posts with primedice is 0.03 BTC I believe.
0.03 BTC ~ $20

Not any more. Stunna dropped his payment to 0.0002 per post. 50 posts is now 0.01, but you can still get his max payout of 0.4btc but for 2000 posts. Still, as you said, not bad for just posting.
18492  Other / Meta / Re: Naive question about this forum on: December 27, 2013, 10:47:24 AM
I guess not everyone uses Bitcoin solely for its decentralised property.

i've known about this site since 2011.. but decided not to post because i was a bit paranoidabout the whole idea of bitcoins, and government wanting to lock it down... but i figured it's time to take my pants off and join in on the fun  Grin

Lol. I bet you shit yourself everytime you see a cop. Maybe you should use TOR along with your tinfoil hat  Cheesy.

while i don't hate the guy, it's hard to call him anything but foolish.

He wasn't foolish. Definitely not. However I'll agree that he was somewhat overconfident. He miscalculated or perhaps underestimated the powers of the FBI.

He did quite a lot of foolish things, especially within regards to setting the site up.
18494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Be safe: READ THIS BEFORE TRADING/BUYING/USING YOUR MONEY on: December 27, 2013, 10:32:31 AM
Guys beware of a user named LALA scammed me out of litecoin last night.

He or she is trading for earthcoin mostly it seems. LALA seems to be fairly active on the forum also, but after running a check on the name I see I'm not the only one who has been caught out!

I should have been more careful and lesson learned.

Make sure to post in this users scammer thread with details/evidence: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=386535.0
18495  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto Christmas presents on: December 27, 2013, 10:27:32 AM
Hi, I'm new to this forum and was just curious if anybody gave bitcoins, lightcoins or any other alt coins as a Christmas presents.

I would never do it, its not personal enough for me, but with all the buzz about bitcoins lately I wouldn't be surprised if whole families have exchanged bitcoins as presents this Christmas!

I'm thinking about giving some next year. Depends how well known Bitcoin becomes in 2014 and how many coins I can make before then.
18496  Economy / Services / Re: Earn upto 0.6 BTC per month for your signature! on: December 27, 2013, 10:07:42 AM
Where are your such huge words?
Why does the Bitcoin community takes everything as scam? I am damn sure that's one reason why not many people adopt Bitcoin. There were many Bitcoin services that came and go. Why? Because people thought of them being a scam.

As a general rule you should assume everything on here is a scam or at least be very suspicious until proved otherwise.

So... You're either the OP's alt and a self-incriminating person or you left the first two paragraphs out of a quite accidentally.

I'm betting neither. Don't know why OP would bother coming back now to defend himself unless they were going to pay out.

18498  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Member "insertcoolusername" Abusing Charity for Cancer by SCAMMING on: December 27, 2013, 09:51:03 AM
99.9% of people who claim they're going to donate money to charity on here are scammers. The other 0.01 may have good intentions but are still foolishly naive. Never donate to people who are claiming they're going to donate to charity: it's the oldest trick in the scambook.

I am very very depressed. This guy scammed me 3.35 BTC. He said he was going to send the nextcoins to me according to our deal, which never happened. I don't know what to do right now. I spent all my savings buying the BTC from coinbase this morning and I still haven't told my wife. I feel very very bad. Can anyone help me? Even teeny tiny little bit means a lot to me!
BTC: 16H79yaTFbryqn6RRw4SrG4agJPF73mqU1
LTC: LNccRZPjnMLaSycDMZERUu4NW7GZuvcoZD
NXT: 11971683968767913384

Why would you send 2BTC then then a further 1.35 Bitcoins to someone without escrow and without receiving the first lot of coins? You have my sympathy if you were scammed, but please stop begging for donations everywhere.
18499  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The posting rule on: December 27, 2013, 09:22:17 AM
While I understand why the rule was put into place, as it prevents trolling...it is impacting my ability to communicate with the owner of Middlecoin.  I only made an account because I wish to send him a message concerning payouts, but I am unable to do that due to this posting restriction.  Can you please alleviate me of this problem?  Thanks

I think you're just going to have to wait the 4 hours, but you could try asking in the whitelist thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=15911.0

I've been a member for well over a year now... I auto-login every time I come to this site:

I've managed to make a whole 14 posts!

I don't think time logged in actually counts, just time you've been actively browsing.

18500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Locked on dogechain pool on: December 26, 2013, 08:44:31 PM
I forgot my pin on the exact day I registered, and got myself locked after trying a few combinations I thought were correct. Yeah, I'm dumb.
Can anyone help me by directing me to someone who can unlock my account? The login is just like here - CM4320.

You'll probably need to find one of the Doge pool threads in Alt currencies: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=67.0
